Introduction

Welcome to my guide to Coffee Stain Studios and Double Eleven's latest foray into top notch, realistic simulation gameplay: Goat Simulator.

This guide will provide you with strategies to complete all of the quest objectives for each map, help you find and complete hidden tasks to unlock all of the game's mutators, earn all of the achievements and collect the assortment of collectibles possible along the way.

Note: This guide is written based on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One version of the game. As this is the case several of the collectibles are in different locations to the PC versions (although they are still in the smae general areas), there are fewer achievements and the name of some of the 'quests' are different.

If you see any errors, have a question, a tip or an alternate strategy for a section of the guide please head to the contact section and flick me an email to let me know!

Although I make these guides for free in my spare time, I probably don't need to point out that purchasing games is an expensive hobby and writing guides can be a very long, incredibly difficult and thankless task at the best of times, but one that is very challenging and rewarding.

A simple donation is a great, easy way to say thanks if you feel that my guide has saved you some time, money and frustration in some small way. By no means feel obligated to donate just for viewing my guide, but if you are feeling a little generous I certainly won't object!

Gameplay Basics

Goat Simulator is essentially an open-ended physics sandbox playground and as such there is very little in the way of story progression (by very little I mean absolutely zilch), no campaign set pieces and only a few very basic scripted gameplay elements. You are literally thrown into an open world with a Tony Hawk style scoring system and encouraged to explore, interact and enjoy the maps on offer.

Having said all of that, the game does present you with a few objectives on each level and completing them will earn you points towards earning points for a high score, for the most part however your goal is to experience goathood through the eyes of a goat in a world where said goat can do a range of weird and interesting goat-related things.

Basic Movements

The goat in Goat Simulator is pretty awesome, so awesome in fact that it is able to perform a range of goat-like actions and a few more obscure actions that perhaps most ordinary goats would not attempt. These include:

  • Walk/Run – As per the usual, the goat can walk by pressing the movement control in a specific direction. Holding it down for a short period of time will have the goat transition from a walk to a run.
  • Jumping - The goat in Goat Simulator can jump quite high allowing it to jump over a range of obstacles. Certain objects in the environment such as air vents, trampolines and mattresses will allow the goat to bounce to much higher heights than would otherwise be possible with a normal jump. Some mutators allow the goat to perform a double jump or to further increase jump height.
  • Licking – Licking an object will attach the goat's tongue to it, allowing players to pull the object along behind the goat. This technique is used quite a bit in completing achievements and completing optional scoring tasks. Some objects such as moving vehicles will drag the goat behind them when licked.
  • Ragdoll – It is possible to initiate ragdolling by hitting the associated button. This is particularly useful to do before landing on a bouncing surface and will give the goat additional height.
  • Head-butt/Kick – The goat is able to head-butt most objects that appear in front of it or kick any objects behind. Usually this will result in either knocking the object a fair distance or destroying it. Head-butts can be used to break windows, which will give you access to various in-game buildings.
  • Interaction - There are various items in the environment that can be interacted with by hitting the use button. These include video game arcade machines, rideable objects such as bikes or skateboards and to start co-operative activities.
  • Climbing – The Goat can use ladders in the environment by walking into them.
  • Special Abilities – depending on mutators that you have active, players are able to use certain special abilities. These include things including: Activating a small tornado with the Tornado Goat mutator, summoning additional goats with the Queen Goat mutator and activating a jetpack when you have one equipped. There are many more special abilities on offer and what they do and how they are unlocked can be found in the mutator section below the main guide.
  • Manual – Using the goat's manual ability allows the goat to walk around on its front legs for a short time. To activate this, press down and then up on the movement control. Whilst in manual a balance meter will appear that is controlled by the up and down movement controls. Keeping the orange indicator away from the ends of the balance meter will allow you to stay up longer however, if the orange indicator stays at either end for too long the goat will fall down and you'll lose the combo.
  • Wall Running – By running and jumping into a wall the Goat can perform a wall run. Running directly into a wall will allow the goat to run up the wall vertically making it possible to reach a platform or ledge above. Running at the wall side on wail allow the goat to run along the wall for a short distance.
  • Wall jump – Whilst using the goat's wall running ability, you can hit the jump button to have it leap away from the wall. This is a good way to grab a little extra height on your jumps.
  • Spinning/Flipping – By holding the trick button whilst in mid-air, you are able to spin the goat around by holding sideways on the direction controls or initiate flips by holding up/down. Note that to land a trick, the goat must be perfectly level with the ground or it will fall over and no points will be awarded.
  • Slow Motion - Using the back button you can toggle super slow-motion to watch your goat contort into all kinds of weird and wonderful shapes, and to assist you in pulling off balancing required for bike riding and manuals.

Scoring & Combos

Scoring

The scoring system in Goat Simulator is quite similar to what you may have previously experienced in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater titles. A total score is accumulated as you play with points being awarded for undertaking a multitude of tasks and actions that include:

  • Licking objects.
  • Jumping over objects.
  • Headbutting or destroying objects.
  • Being launched in the air with the height and air time.
  • Bouncing off certain objects such as mattresses, trampolines and fans.
  • Performing flips or spins in mid-air.
  • Performing a manual.
  • Wall running and wall jumping.
  • Completing map objectives.
  • Completing hidden optional tasks.

Combos

Whilst some of the scoring events such as completing tasks and objectives provide a one-off points reward, the vast majority can be linked together to create a combo.

Once you perform a scoring technique a multiplier and score will appear at the bottom of the screen. A small bar will appear beneath this and slowly disappear from right to left. If you can perform another scoring move before the bar reaches the left hand side, the multiplier will increase and so will the score. Continuing to do this is key to earning those big scores.

Some good linking moves include the manual, wall running and licking random objects.

Walkthrough

As Goat Simulator is more about the open-world freedom than it is about anything else, there is very little in the way of a set story to follow. It does however feature a number of set tasks or ‘quests' if you will across its pair of available maps.

This guide will provide you with strategies to complete all of the quest objectives for each map, help you find and complete hidden tasks to unlock all of the game's mutators, earn all of the achievements and collect the assortment of collectibles possible along the way.

There are two maps in the Xbox360 and Xbox One version so the guide will be broken down into walkthroughs of both. I am aware that the Steam version has additional maps and unfortunately I'll not be adding for the moment them due to my inability to access a decent PC. If they release on the Xbox though, you can be sure I'll add them eventually!

Note: Whilst it should be possible to use this guide for the PC version for the two maps provided, it should be noted that there are multiple slight tweaks and changes between the PC version and Xbox versions. These are mainly limited to Goat Trophy collectible locations, but also extend to the names of some quests/tasks, new menu and mutator options being implemented and how to unlock certain achievements.

Without further ado, let's get diggity down to bus-i-ness.

Goat Ville Walkthrough

Goat Ville is the original starting map from the PC version of Goat Simulator. It is the smaller of the two maps that come bundled with the Xbox version and includes 35 ‘quests' broken down into 19 tasks, there are 16 associated achievements, numerous mutator unlocks and plenty of other points of interest to keep you finding new stuff for quite a while.

Without further ado, here are the ‘quests' that make up Goat Ville.

Goat Ville 01: BAA

Description: Baa, baa, baa.

Perhaps the easiest task you can undertake in the game. Simply press the ‘baa' button three times to complete it.

Goat Ville 02: Jumping

Description: Jump over an obstacle.

This objective is only slightly more difficult than the ‘BAA” one as this one requires you to actually move! Having said that it is ridiculously easy – simply jump over any obstacle – a fence, a crate, a car, anything you like. Once you have jumped over a valid object, the task will be completed.

Goat Ville 03: Car Accident

Description: Get hit by a car.

This objective requires you to be, you guessed it, hit by a car. There are two options here. You can stand on the main road in the centre of the map and wait for a car to come through – there is one that travels along the lane closest to the starting location and cycles through every few minutes. Alternatively you can venture into the crop field to find the Hillbilly driving his car in circles.

Once you have found your car, simply step in front of it and once the goat has been hit, the objective will be marked as complete.

Goat Ville 04: Hunt

Description: Scare Them

This objective requires you to use your goat to scare five different people. This can be done in a number of ways, but the easiest by far is to find a group of people, lick one of them and then drag them around where the others can see you doing it. Head-butting and destroying objects in the environment around them will help too.

There are a couple of places where you'll find a decent sized group of people and they include:

  • Inside the Coffee Stains Studios building.
  • The party house by the swimming pool and the Boulder of Death.
  • The small protest rally that can be seen from the main road.
  • The people watching the hillbilly driving in circles around the crop field.
  • Surrounding the rind of death on the hill overlooking the crop fields.

Once you have managed to scare five people, the objective will be completed.

Goat Ville 05: Bicycle

Description: Enjoy the view from a Bicycle.

This ‘quest' requires us to find and interact with a bicycle. This will have the goat hop aboard and ride it. If you are keen to take it for a spin, during a bike ride, you will need to keep the goat balanced on the bike by moving the directional controls in the opposite direction from where the goat is leaning. This is unnecessary however as simply hopping on the bike will complete the objective for the map.

Bicycles can be found in the following locations:

  • On the roof of the house across the street from the start location.
  • In front of the house across the street from the start location.
  • On the ground floor of the construction site.

Note: if you can hop on a bike and keep it balanced for 60 seconds you will earn the trophy ‘One Ball'. You do not need to actually ride it or move anywhere, just simply stay balanced for the required duration to unlock it.

Goat Ville 06: Ritual

Description: Sacrifice for a greater purpose.

In the wooded hills behind the Coffee Stain Studios building (just to the right of the tunnel marked ‘Helvete')you'll find a small dirt path lined by flaming torches that leads up to a glowing red pentagram on the ground. This is the location for this objective.

To complete the task we need to lick and then drag five different people up to this area and drop them on the symbol on the ground. Once all five are in place, a short scene will play and then the objective will be completed.

Note: This will also unlock the Devil Goat mutator for use from the main menu as well as the ‘Devil Goat' achievement.

Goat Ville 07: Goat Castle

Description: Proclaim yourself Queen of all goats!

As you start the map up, you'll begin inside a goat pen. Inside this very goat pen, you will find a cylindrical stone tower with a spiral staircase running around its outside. Move over to the tower and climb this spiral staircase to the top. Enter the opening in the structure.

This will teleport you to a new area. Go through the door directly in front of you and move through the lines of goats until you reach the throne at the far end of the room. Jump up onto the throne to complete the objective.

Note: This will unlock the Queen Goat mutator and the ‘Goat Queen' achievement.

Goat Ville 08: Trash Goathenge

Description: Ruin your cultural heritage.

Goathenge is a cluster of rock formations located just off the road and a little to the left from the tunnel entrance marked ‘Helvete' and as its name might imply, it actually resembles Stonehenge a great deal. To complete the objective simply bump into or head-butt the large stones blocks here to make them collapse (a well-directed knock can cause a domino effect which is cool to watch!).

After enough of the structure's stone blocks have been knocked down, you will complete the objective.

Note: For completing this task you'll unlock the ‘What is the Purpose?' achievement.

Goat Ville 09: Bayhem

Description: You know what to do.

The ‘Bayhem' objective and description doesn't give you much to go on… Unless you've seen a Michael Bay film of course. To earn the points for this one, we need to create the biggest explosion possible on the map and to do that we're going to blow up the Gas Station.

The Gas Station is located on the main road right next to the tunnel marked ‘Him Len' and opposite the construction site. To blow it up, simply walk up to one of the gas bowsers and head-butt it! This will cause the whole thing to go up in flames and complete the task.

Goat Ville 10: Goat Ville Trophies

Description: Find all of the Golden Goat trophies in Goat Ville.

There are 30 hidden golden goat trophies hidden around the Goat Ville map and you will need to find and collect all 30 of them to complete the map's ‘quest' for doing so. Finding the lot of them will also unlock the ‘Try Hard' achievement.

The goat trophies are hidden in a range of locations ranging from your standard ground-based variety, to building interiors and even include some ridiculously high up and hard to reach places. Without further ado, here is where you'll find them:

  1. In a bedroom on the second floor of the house adjacent to the goat pen staring location.
  2. Behind the goat in the small window on the cylindrical tower in the pen at the start location.
  3. Inside the goat castle at the top of the cylindrical tower. It is behind some crates on the left after entering the doorway.
  4. On the roof of the small shack with the air vent outside the goat pen in the direction of the tunnel marked ‘Helvete'.
  5. From the air vent listed in description 3, jump up and land on the power line overhead. The trophy is sitting on this.
  6. From the same air vent described above, land on it with ragdoll toggled to launch even higher. Attempt to land on top of the nearest power line tower to find the next trophy. This will take a few attempts!
  7. Behind the stage of the small protest rally close to the tunnel marked ‘Helvete' and the Coffee stain Studios building.
  8. On the roof of the Coffee Stain Studios building.
  9. Inside the Coffee Stain Studios building on the second floor in a closet.
  10. By the fence behind the ring of death area.
  11. By a broken shack along the fence between the crop circle and the ring of death area.
  12. Inside the open garage area of the gas station, against the wall in front of the car.
  13. Inside the blue cargo container at the construction site. Right next to the tunnel marked ‘Him Len'.
  14. At the very top of the crane at the construction site. You can use the air vents on the second floor of the building to reach the main arm or climb the ladder on the main structure to get up. Climb the rope to the very top of the central structure to grab it!
  15. Inside the blue shipping crate suspended from the crane at the construction site. You can use the air vents on the second floor of the building to reach it.
  16. On top of a white piece of scaffolding adjacent to the top floor of the construction site.
  17. Inside the ‘Low Gravity Test Facility' on top of the supports at the very top of the building's interior.
  18. Inside the ‘Low Gravity Test Facility' you'll find a low gravity chamber. On the inside off to one side you'll see a red illuminated fan. Jump into this and you'll be launched into a small vent leading to another fan. The trophy is inside.
  19. On the roof of the ‘Low Gravity Test Facility' inside one of the big fans.
  20. On the very highest diving platform at the abandoned waterpark.
  21. Around halfway up the hill beneath the large waterslide at the waterpark.
  22. On the roof and beneath the bell in the large yellow building with the belltower next to the waterpark.
  23. Between the small shack and a wall directly opposite the large yellow building with the belltower.
  24. In the greenhouse of the blue building closest to the waterpark. If you choose the re-spawn option from the menu, you will appear right next to this.
  25. At the base of the brick wall separating the waterpark from the party house. This is on the party house side.
  26. Behind the boulder of death close to the party house.
  27. Beneath the power line tower close to the path leading to the ritual site. This is just behind the Coffee Stain Studios building.
  28. Beneath the large tree on the grassy hill in the centre of the crop fields. This is very close to where the car is cutting laps.
  29. On a small dirt road close to the combine harvester.
  30. By a large concrete block with a blue lit hole on top of a hill by where the car is cutting laps around the crop field.

Note: For completing this task you'll unlock the ‘Try Hard' achievement.

Goat Ville 11: Manual Points

Using the goat's manual ability allows the goat to walk around on its front legs for a short time. To activate this mode, press down and then up on the movement control. Whilst in manual a balance meter will appear that is controlled by the up and down movement controls. Keeping the orange indicator away from the ends of the balance meter will allow you to stay up longer however, if the orange indicator stays at either end for too long the goat will fall down and you'll lose the combo.

To complete all three of these tasks you will need to manual for increasing periods of time. It should be noted that the manual duration required for each level will be cumulative but will reset as soon as the goat falls over or is damaged by something.

An easy way to do all three at once is to find an open area, switch to a manual walk a few steps forward and jump. Once you hit the ground, turn around and manual your way back to where you started. Continue to do this back and forth until you earn completion of the tasks.

  • Manual Points Easy – walk on your front legs a little.
  • Manual Points Normal – walk on your front legs a little more.
  • Manual Points Hard – walk on your front legs forever.

Goat Ville 12: Manual 3 Times in a Combo

Description:

As described above, the goat's manual ability causes it to walk around on its front legs for a short time. To activate this mode, press down and then up on the movement control. During a manual a balance meter will appear on the right side of the screen and can be controlled by the up and down movement controls. Keeping the orange indicator away from the ends of the balance meter will allow you to stay up longer however, if the orange indicator stays at either end for too long the goat will fall down and you'll lose the combo.

In order to finish this task, we need to perform three manuals without the combo meter disappearing. An easy way to do all three at once is to find an open area, switch to a manual walk a few steps forward and jump. Once you hit the ground, quickly turn around and manual your way back to where you started. Do it once more to complete the task.

Note: that if you fail a manual or if the goat takes damage the combo will re-set and you'll have to retry.

Goat Ville 13: Wall Run

By running and jumping into a wall the Goat can perform a wall run. Running directly into a wall will allow the goat to run up the wall vertically making it possible to reach a platform or ledge above. Running at the wall side on wail allow the goat to run along the wall for a short distance.

To earn the three wall running tasks for this map, you'll need to maintain your wall running for specific durations of time, with the length of time required increasing for the more difficult tasks. As the wall run duration will be reset the second you touch a flat surface, you'll need to find a location that is conducive to your wall running endeavours.

These include:

  • Areas with two with walls running parallel to one another so that you can jump between them to maintain the wall run.
  • Very high vertical structures with external walls at 90 degrees to one another providing a corner from which you can jump between the two edges to maintain an upwards wall run.

Here are the milestone times you are required to achieve:

  • Wall Run Easy – Wall run for 3 seconds.
  • Wall Run Normal – Wall run for 5 seconds.
  • Wall Run Hard – Wall run for 10 seconds.

Goat Ville 14: Flipping

Flipping requires that you hold in the trick button and hold up or down on the movement controls so that the goat rotates vertically. A single front or back flip can be performed from jumping form a small object whilst additional flips can be attempted when the goat has additional air time. In order to unlock all three tasks for the flipping objectives you will need to land a triple forward or backflip.

This sounds difficult but is not too bad if you know where to give it a go. There are plenty of places where you can attempt these, but the following locations provide a good area to try them out:

  • The Low Gravity Test Facility – This area is by far the easiest place to earn the flipping combo. In the low gravity chamber you can perform flips and land them for some huge single-move scores. I was able to perform 7 flips during a single jump and land it easily for a huge score!
  • The Construction Site – On the top floor of the construction site you'll find a trampoline which you can use to bounce up and down on a few times to gain height (alternatively you can climb the ladder to the top of the crane). Once you have enough height, simply flip your way down to the trampoline in the empty pool next door to earn completion. Note you can land on the ground too but you will have to stick the landing perfectly or the goat will fall over.

Note: An even easier way to do this is to activate the Angel Goat mutator and jump from a high spot. Use the special ability to slow your fall and spin as you go. You can easily get around 20 rotations using this whilst jumping from the crane at the Construction site.

Here are the flipping targets you are required to achieve:

  • Flipping Easy – Perform a front or backflip.
  • Flipping Normal – Perform a double front or backflip.
  • Flipping Hard – Perform a triple front or backflip.

Goat Ville 15: Knocking

Knocking refers to how far you get the Goat to push/head-butt/kick items it comes into contact with. The goat can knock just about any object in the map that is not locked down and the smaller an object is, the further you should be able to knock it. The Knocking ‘quests' ask us to have the goat knock objects over three, increasingly far distances.

There are a couple of easy ways to earn big knocking distances without too much effort.

  • Main Road – Dragging smaller objects onto the road and headbutting/kicking them into the path of oncoming vehicles can see them be launched incredibly far. Doing so in front of the truck that drives through every couple of minutes may even be enough to snag you all three milestone distances at once.
  • Gas Station - Dragging items close to an explosive canister (or the gas station) and blowing it up can cause them to get launched – this will occasionally count as knocking, but sometimes won't register either.
  • Construction Site/Water Park – Head-butting objects from off the top of high places such as the top of the Construction Site or from the top of the water slides at the water park can increase the distance they travel before they come to a stop.

Here are the knocking distance targets you are required to achieve:

  • Knocking Easy – Knock an object 100 metres.
  • Knocking Normal – Knock an object 250 metres.
  • Knocking Hard – Knock an object 500 metres.

Goat Ville 16: Air Time

Air time in Goat Simulator is all about keeping the goat airborne for as long as possible. A couple of things will make this easier – firstly use your bouncing surfaces such as trampolines, mattresses and air vents to gain height. Managing successive bounces on these objects will have the goat fly higher and higher which will bolster the air time.

There are a couple of easy places to complete the airtime tasks in a hurry:

  • The Crop Circle - From the goat pen at the start, enter the garage of the adjacent building and grab the glowing blue beacon from the bench inside. Take it to the crop circle in the crop field. You'll notice there are two circular sections, each with a stick in the centre. Drag the beacon onto the stick without a glowing blue object. Now just stand still for about 20-30 seconds and a UFO will appear and abduct you – the goat will end up in space and after hanging out here for a minute or so you should earn all three ‘Air Time' tasks at once!

Here are the airtime duration targets you are required to achieve:

  • Airtime Easy – Fly for 3 seconds.
  • Airtime Normal – Fly for 9 seconds.
  • Airtime Hard – Fly for 18 seconds.

Goat Ville 17: Air Height

Air height in Goat Simulator is all about launching the goat as high as possible. A couple of things will make this easier – firstly use your bouncing surfaces such as trampolines, mattresses and air vents to gain height. Managing successive bounces on these objects will have the goat fly higher and higher. You should also toggle rag doll mode as the goat will bounce higher than it would on four legs.

There are a couple of good places to get this.

  • The Construction Site – Make your way to the very top of the construction site and use the trampoline here. Bounce on this a few times until the goat is bouncing higher than the crane arm. When this happens bounce over this and aim for the trampolines in the empty pool below. Bounce between the trampolines in here to keep going higher and higher until you are able to complete the tasks.
  • The Crop Circle - From the goat pen at the start, enter the garage of the building and grab the glowing blue beacon from the bench. Take it to the crop circle in the field. You'll notice there are two circular sections, each with a stick in the centre. Drag the beacon onto the stick without a glowing blue object. Now just stand still for about 20-30 seconds and a UFO will appear and abduct you – the goat will end up in space and earn all three ‘Air Height' tasks at once!

Here are the airtime durations you are required to achieve:

  • Air Height Easy – Reach a height of 5 metres.
  • Air Height Normal – Reach a height of 50 metres.
  • Air Height Hard – Reach a height of 120 metres.

Goat Ville 18: Biggest Combo

Once you perform a scoring technique a multiplier and score will appear at the bottom of the screen. A small bar will appear beneath this and slowly disappear from right to left. If you can perform another scoring move before the bar reaches the left hand side, the combo meter will reset, the score multiplier will increase and so too will the score itself. Continuing to do this is key to completing the objectives for the biggest combos.

If you want to go about performing that combo in the traditional way, be sure to use linking techniques such as the manual, wall running and licking random objects to keep the combo meter ticking over!

On the other hand, for those who are keen to get the combo awards out of the way as quickly as possible there are some areas on the Goat Ville map where you can rack up major combos extremely quickly. These include:

  • The Gas Station – simply completing the ‘Bayhem' objective of blowing up the gas station by head-butting a petrol bowser should, in most cases also give you enough points to knock over all three of the ‘Biggest Combo' tasks at once!
  • The Low Gravity Test Facility – In the low gravity chamber you can perform flips and land them for some huge single-move scores. I was able to perform 7 flips during a jump for a huge score. Couple this with the ability to link your jumps together and you can quite easily earn the ‘Biggest Combo – Hard' objective with a little practice.

Note: An even easier way to earn combo scores is to find one of the locations with lots of objects scattered about (The Coffee Stain Studios building or the building adjacent to the starting area are good!). get on the roof and activate the Angel Goat mutator. Jump and use the special ability to slow your fall and spin as you go. make sure you land the stunt and then quickly run inside and start kicking/head-butting and licking stuff to keep the combo going.

Here are the combo scores you are required to achieve:

  • Biggest Combo Easy – Achieve a 1,000 Point combo.
  • Biggest Combo Normal – Achieve a 4,000 Point combo.
  • Biggest Combo Hard – Achieve a 10,000 Point combo.

Goat Ville 19: Total Score

The total score goals for Goat Ville are fairly modest and the first two are milestones that you will likely reach during your time completing the other ‘missions', unlocking achievements and finding and unlocking all of the secret stuff.

If you still have not unlocked the ‘Total Score Hard' goal by the time you have completed everything else, why not wreck up the place! You can destroy everything for a good amount of points, perform flips and tricks between trampolines or other bouncy surfaces, or use the low gravity testing facility to land some major flips and don't forget to complete all the achievements for a good amount of extra points!

Note: An easy way to earn the high scores is to find one of the locations with lots of objects scattered about (The Coffee Stain Studios building or the building adjacent to the starting area are good!). get on the roof and activate the Angel Goat mutator. Jump and use the special ability to slow your fall and spin as you go. make sure you land the stunt and then quickly run inside and start kicking/head-butting and licking stuff to keep the combo going. If done well, you can earn the 2,000,000 high score in a single combo!

Note: If the goat gets stuck at any time, be sure to use the re-spawn option from the main menu. Do not use the Restart option or your score will reset along with the level.

Here are the milestone scores you are required to achieve:

  • Total Score Easy – Get a total score of 20,000.
  • Total Score Normal – Get a total score of 500,000.
  • Total Score Hard – Get a total score of 2,000,000.

Goat City Bay Walkthrough

Goat City Bay is the the second map on the list and the first additional map released for the PC version of Goat Simulator. It is the larger of the two maps that come bundled with the Xbox version and includes 39 ‘quests' broken down into 23 tasks, there are 10 associated achievements, numerous mutator unlocks and plenty of other points of interest to keep you finding new stuff for quite a while.

Without further ado, here are the ‘quests' that make up Goat City Bay.

Goat City Bay 01: BAA

Description: Baa, baa, baa.

Perhaps the easiest task you can undertake in the game and identical to the Goat Ville 'quest' of the same name. Simply press the ‘baa' button three times to complete it.

Goat City Bay 02: Jumping

Description: Jump over an obstacle.

This objective is only slightly more difficult than the ‘BAA” one as this one requires you to actually move! Having said that it is ridiculously easy – simply jump over any obstacle – a fence, a crate, a car, anything you like. Once you have jumped over a valid object, the task will be completed.

Goat City Bay 03: Car Accident

Description: Get hit by a car.

This objective requires you to be, you guessed it, hit by a car. As with the Goat Ville map there are number of options available. The easiest way to do it however is to simply hang out on the streets until you see a car coming and step into its way. Once you have found your car, simply step in front of it and once the goat has been hit, the objective will be marked as complete.

If you miss getting hit, fear not! The cars appear to spawn and drive through the same routes across the map every few minutes so there will be plenty of opportunity for you to get it.

Goat City Bay 04: Hunt

Description: Scare Them

This objective requires you to use your goat to scare five different people. This can be done in a number of ways, but the easiest by far is to find a group of people, lick one of them and then drag them around where the others can see you doing it. Head-butting and destroying objects in the environment around them will help too.

There are a couple of places where you'll find a decent sized group of people and they include:

  • At the rave part on the roof of the skyscraper.
  • In the casino area at the back of the skyscraper.
  • In the lobby of the skyscraper.
  • At the amusement park.

Once you have managed to scare five people, the objective will be completed.

Goat City Bay 05: Bicycle

Description: Enjoy the view from a Bicycle.

This ‘quest' is exactly the same as the identically named Goat Ville quest and requires us to find and interact with a bicycle.

  • At the skate park.
  • In the outdoor car port of the pink house.
  • At the base of the large blue half pipe of the skate park along the street.

Note: if you can hop on a bike and keep it balanced for 60 seconds you will earn the trophy ‘One Ball'. You do not need to actually ride it or move anywhere, just simply stay balanced for the required duration to unlock it.

Goat City Bay 06: Find the Sewer

Description: I dunno why you wanna do that.

This task has you attempting to locate the sewer in the Goat City Bay map. This is actually extremely easy to find and complete. If you follow the street in front of the skyscraper to the left, look below the first bridge you come across to see a large circular opening in the wall. Jump down into the water and swim over to the opening. Hop inside to complete the ‘quest'.

Note: Entering the sewers will earn you the achievement ‘Disgusting'. It will also unlock the Repulsive Goat mutator.

Whilst you are in the sewers, you will also be able to find and collect a Goat Trophy collectible and bump into the ‘Ninja Turtles' (or a group of judges with coloured bandanas and green tracksuits anyway) the latter of which is tied into unlocking an achievement.

Note: finding and attacking the ‘Turtles' will earn you the achievement ‘Ling Ling into Battle Go'.

Goat City Bay 07: Hijack the Concert

Description: You could totally do better.

For this ‘quest' you need to make your way up to the rooftop section of the skyscraper. There are several ways up, but by far the easiest way to do this is by using the elevator in the lobby.

Whilst on the roof, you will see that there is a dance party underway. Simply make your way through the dancers and head up to the DJ. Headbutt the fellow here out of the way and then move up to the DJ equipment in front of the crowd. Hit the interact button on the turntable to complete the task.

Note: Hijacking the concert will earn you the achievement ‘Goats ‘n' Stuff'. It will also unlock the Deadgoa7 mutator.

Goat City Bay 08: Lick Flowers

Description: What could go wrong?

This ‘quest' is a fairly simple one and to complete it all you need to do is lick some flowers. We only need to lick a single flower to complete the task, but licking multiple flowers will for some reason increase the size of the Goat's ears to humorous proportions.

Flowers can be found in the following locations:

  • Inside Uncle Fred's Workshop.
  • Along the fence between the back alley by the skate park and the parkour obstacle course.
  • On the island out in the bay (accessible by licking the boat with the dude in it on the side of the skyscraper closest to the beach).

Goat City Bay 09: Buy a Hat

Description: With cash-monies.

In order to complete this ‘quest' we need to find stacks of cash, lick them and then take it to the shop named ‘Weathers' across the street. Inside, take the money behind the counter to hand it over to the storekeeper. Afterwards move across to the display in the window and interact with your hat of choice (there are six to choose from) to complete the task.

There are enough stacks of money on the map to buy all of the hats at the store although you'll complete the objective after purchasing the first one.

The cash-monies can be found in the following locations:

  • At the back of the ground floor of the Skyscraper overlooking the water on the counter.
  • Inside the lobby of the Skyscraper on the counter.
  • There are two stacks of money on a table on the second floor of the Skyscraper's lobby.
  • On the counter in the convenience store.
  • There are four stacks of money at the ‘Capra' restaurant.

Note: There is an achievement ‘Hat Simulator' for buying all of the hats at the store.

Goat City Bay 10: Sugar Rush Lord

Description: lick the sugar cube.

To complete this ‘quest' you will need to find and lick a sugar cube. To do this, you will want to find the pink house just to the right of where you start the map. Head around to the back yard by the swimming pool and head-butt he window here to get inside.

The sugar cubes can be found on a small coffee table in front of the television on the ground floor. Lick one of them to enjoy a nice colour filter for a few moments and to complete the task.

Goat City Bay 11: Goat Rider

Description: Ride or Die

At the amusement park on the docks, you'll want to find the mechanical bull ride. Head up to the bull and head-butt/kick it away. Once the area is empty, stand where the mechanical bull was located and a human will jump on your back.

Run around a little and this will unlock.

Note: Once you have a rider, you can go to the catapult near the dam and jump inside to launch yourself. This will unlock the achievement ‘Valkyrie'.

Goat City Bay 12: Race

Description: Compete in a race.

There are two races available in Goat City Bay and both can be undertaken in single or multiplayer modes. To begin a race, you will need to approach the golden icon that acts as a start point and use the interact button to launch the event. During these events you are required to pilot your goat through blue rings in as fast a time as possible.

The two races are located at the following locations:

  • Bicycle Race - On the road at the base of the cliff on the opposite side of the beach from the skyscraper.
  • Race - Directly across the water from the amusement park, just in front of the large green building.

Goat City Bay 13: Longboard

Description: Look cool on a board with wheels.

This ‘quest' is pretty much the same as the ‘Bicycle' quest, but instead of a bicycle the game requires us to find and interact with a longboard. This will have the goat hop aboard and ride it.

Longboards can be found in the following locations:

  • At the skate park.

Goat City Bay 14: Goat City Bay Trophies

Description: Find all of the Golden Goat trophies in Goat City Bay.

As with the Goat Ville map there are 30 hidden golden goat trophies hidden around Goat City Bay and you will need to find and collect all 30 of them to complete the map's ‘quest' for doing so. Finding the lot of them will also unlock the ‘I Freaking Love Goats' achievement.

The goat trophies are hidden in a range of locations ranging from your standard ground-based variety, to building interiors and even include some ridiculously high up and hard to reach places. Without further ado, here is where you'll find them:

  1. From the starting point, up the hill to the left sitting in a catapult next to the dam and opposite a series of three tankers.
  2. From the starting point, you'll find this trophy inside the first house on the right (the pink one). You'll have to go round back and smash a window with a headbutt to get inside.
  3. In the bedroom of the grey house on the opposite side of the side-street from the pink house with the first trophy. Again you'll need to headbutt a window to get in.
  4. At the next grey house (it has the greenhouse in the back) you'll find the trophy inside on the second floor in one of the bedrooms.
  5. At the yellow townhouses opposite the beach next to the skyscraper. It is on one of the balconies closest to the wind turbines.
  6. In the alleyway directly behind the shop opposite the skyscraper. It can be found in a small area blocked by wooden fences.
  7. In the toyshop window (the one with bicycles and a UFO) across the street from the skyscraper. Headbutt the glass to access it.
  8. On top of the rooves opposite the skyscraper, on top of a raised platform by the fellow having a barbecue.
  9. On the front of the billboard for ‘Club dura' directly opposite the skyscraper. Can be accessed via the rooftops here.
  10. Can be accessed via the rooves of the block of buildings opposite the skyscraper (you'll need to use the air vents to get up here). The trophy is on the higher balcony of the green building.
  11. Inside the skyscraper on the left hand side of the ground floor lobby.
  12. In the restaurant overlooking the water at the ground floor of the skyscraper. In the centre of a circular wall partition. You'll need to head-butt your way through the glass to get in here.
  13. On the roof of the skyscraper in the corner opposite the stage by the antenna tower.
  14. At the bar with the pool about halfway up the skyscraper on the side facing the water. The statue is on a ledge next to the pool.
  15. Next to the hotel is a boat with a dude in it. Jump onto the boat and it will take off. Do your best to stay on board (going ragdoll in the back helps a little) and after a short while it will crash into a an island. When you land, you'll find the trophy here.
  16. Inside Gallery DOE. Smash the window with a headbutt to get inside.
  17. On top of the building directly opposite the amusement park. This is on the very top of the water tower.
  18. On the concrete wall running along the canal closest to the base of the dam.
  19. On the boardwalk along the canal. Over the wall from Club Nubian.
  20. In the side-room of the sewer area (guarded by ‘turtles'), accessible via a pipe at water level close the bridge nearest to the skyscraper.
  21. Near the tunnel marked ‘Atory City'. If you have the tunnel to your back, its off the road and slightly to the right.
  22. Follow the path near trophy 21 to find a series of billboards that make up a wallrun and jump challenge. If you can make it all the way to the top of this area, you'll find a trophy.
  23. Inside the goat pen near the tunnel marked ‘Atory City'.
  24. On top of the rooftop adjacent to the building with the water silo on the roof.
  25. On top of the ticket booth leading to the amusement park.
  26. On top and in the centre of the rotator ride. Time a jump to the arms of the ride from the nearby ticket booth.
  27. At the amusement park, take the lift up to the top. On the small platform you arrive at, there is a trophy to the left.
  28. On the boat moored at the pier next to the Ferris wheel.
  29. On a rocky outcrop beneath a low section of the rollercoaster. On the side of the amusement park closest to the tunnel marked ‘Atory City'.
  30. In the cemetery behind the wind turbines. Its located next to one of the gravestones.

Note: For completing this task you'll unlock the ‘I Freaking Love Goats' achievement.

Goat City Bay 15: Collect all the Craft Blocks

Description: Find all the craft blocks.

In addition to the Goat Trophy collectibles, there are an additional three Minecraft inspired ‘Craft Blocks' hidden around this map. They appear as small floating cubes. Finding and collecting all three will earn the achievement ‘Builder Goat'.

The Craft Blocks can be found in the following locations:

  1. In the creepy cemetery area hidden behind the wind turbines. This can be accessed via a dirt path at the end of the first side-street to the right from the spawn area. It can also be reached by using the air vents by the beach next to the skyscraper.
  2. From the building with the large half pipe, stand in the centre of the halfpipe and face away from the direction of the skyscraper. Turn 90 degrees to the right and head up the hill in a straight line. The block is against the edge of the map beneath some trees. This can be tricky to spot as it blends into the grass from a distance.
  3. At the base of a tree on a grassy platform near the beach with the boat close to the tunnel marked ‘Atory City'. It is on the opposite side of the water from the amusement park.

Note: For completing this task you'll unlock the ‘Builder Goat' achievement and the Builder Goat mutator.

Goat City Bay 16: Manual points
