When all the challenges are completed, the room will turn neon red and purple.

To start with 4 Lives, 500 coins, & 2 of all items, during the intro sequence, when you see the chests hold Down + Right + A until the music stops at the title screen.

Go to the passwords screen and enter the following:

Enter Options from the main menu. Immediately press up, down, C, down, B, B, B, up, C. Press Start to return to the main menu. Enter Sound Test next. Press Start to return to the main menu. Enter Options again, and the Credits selection is now present.

Note:This glitch can only be used while you are playing as the robot character scooter.

Whenever scooter loses all his energy and fis defeated use his special attack move, scooter will run back onto the screen and you will be able to control him again, despite having been killed earlier.

If you got a Game Over and the game restart, at the title screen hold the A button and press START. You will be able to start back at the level where you last play instead of the first level.

When the credits are being displayed on the screen after you have beaten the game, you can control your character to kick away the credited names.

At the Diary (save select) screen, press B + Start to access the game's sound test screen.

NOTE: This will only work after you have the Warp Device.

Go to the seashore on the lower west side of the map. Use Shade's Doppelganger to locate the invisible silver crack (the warp), then use your Warp Device to open up the warp.

You'll then be transported to a secret island located on upper west side of the map.

At the title screen, and with the C button held for the entire duration of code entry, perform the following actions: 1) Starting at Up, do a full clockwise rotation of the D-Pad. 2) Starting at Down, do a full counter-clockwise rotation of the D-Pad. 3) When you reach Down from the previous step, do a full clockwise rotation of the D-Pad. The credits will instantly load if successful.

Locate the caves immediately following the opponents that resmble a pair of lips. Move to the top left corner to lose the current ship and restart in a level consisting of a large asteroid field.

Right before you are hit by a bullet, step on a rake. If you do that, your character will be invincible until you collect an item.

Columns Extra Magic Jewels
There is a way to trick the game into giving you a second magic jewel. To do this you must set up the screen in a certain way. Have one row of the normal jewels stacked up almost to the top of the playfield. There must be vertical space for only two of the three jewels in the next block to come on the screen. Watch the "Next Block" preview box. When you see that the magic jewel block is next, get ready to quickly move it on top of your prepared stack. After the magic jewel eliminates the 'touching' color jewels, all of the remaining jewels will drop down as will the one magic jewel that was off the screen. This magic jewel will drop down and eliminate another group of colored jewels.

At any time during the main game, press start to pause. After a few seconds, Sketch will yell, ''Sega!''.

Anytime during the game simply press and hold the Punch Button. After a second or so Sketch will tear a piece of paper from the background and make a paper airplane out of it. The plane will travel to the edge of the panel and circle back around. The plane does massive damage to all enemies, objects, and Sketch himself so be careful. As know that you lose a considerable amount of health when creating the plane.

In Options, move the cursor to Exit. Now press right, left, left, right, right, right, left, left, A. The Round Select text appears. Set it to ON, and when you begin a game, the Round Select menu appears.

Jump at one of the white segmented poles in game and land directly on top of it.
As you boune on it the segments will turn red and you will get half a heart for each changed segment.

Enter these passwords after selecting "Continue" to skip ahead to the desired level.

R = Red Bean
Y = Yellow Bean
G = Green Bean
B = Blue Bean
P = Purple Bean
C = Clear (Garbage) Bean
H = Has Bean (the little orange fellow)

At the Title Screen, press (A), (B), or (C) on controller 1 to make the ''e'', ''a'', and ''n'' in ''Mean'' jump. Press (A), (B), or (C) on controller 2 to make the ''e'', ''a'', and ''n'' in ''Bean'' jump.

When the title screen appears, press START once. Leaving the cursor at Start Game, enter the code: C, A, LEFT, RIGHT, B. If you hear a sound, you've got it! Press START and you'll access the Stage Select! Just choose your level and stage. Then press START to play! (Note: This trick was done on an early version of the game. It may or may not work on later versions)

During Scene 3-4 (Clothes Encounters), you can get a secret bonus point by waiting for the Wooden Dresser to put on the Bino head, and then knocking it off. However, if you do this at the right moment, you'll hear that you've gotten a secret bonus, but the Wooden Dresser's heart will remain pink. In this case, the Wooden Dresser will put on the Bino head again, allowing you to get a second secret bonus. If you got the other three secret bonuses in this stage, you'll see that the score will show that you got 5/4 secret bonuses. And if you get all the others in the game, the final score will show that you got 40/39.

After the end credits has finished rolling you are prompted to enter a 4 digit secret code on a keypad. The valid code is different each time the game is played , complete the basket ball mini game four times while going through the game to determine your games secret code.

Collect two short bows then equip both of them. Your character's armor will remain at 99 regardless of the actual armor worn.

Punch opponents that can destroy standard weapons. Select the weapon icon on the options screen, then discard the current weapon. Pick up the weapon after defeating your opponent.

Start a new game, and then hold UP + (A) + (C) + START. When the ''Round 1'' screen appears, release all the buttons. Now you can press UP or DOWN to choose the round that you start on (up to 36).

If you complete the first 10 rounds of the game in under 20 seconds each and get a perfect score in each bonus round, you should then have over 240,000 points. After you get this feat, you will then see a window at the lower left corner of the screen with a girl in a bikini.

On the options screen press A, C, B, C. This will take you to a level select screen.

Enter the OPTIONS screen, highlight EXIT, then hold down Start on Control Pad 2, then press Start on Control Pad 1.

This code only works on the arcade mode character select screen. Hold the left and down buttons on the D-pad, press A, C, and start at the same time to get 9 credits. The game won't tell you if you've done it correctly.

With the cursor go to ''options'' sign.
Now press & hold A+B+C.

In the options screen relase only B & C

Now configure game if you want.

From now on ever use B to confirm successive selections,
until the warrior selection.

For the 8 credits, the cheat is identical, but you must relase only A and use START to confirm successive selections.

In 2 Player mode, if you use a magic spell when your companion dies, they'll be revived with no health bars, but can continue playing. Does not work if they fall down a pit.

In the options press Up, Down, Left, Right, Up, Down, Left, Right, Up, Down, Left, Right, Up, Down, Left, Right, Up, Down, Left, Right, A, B, C, A, B, C, A, B, C, A, B, C, A, B, C. The mnemonic is: UDLR 5 times then ABC 5 times.

Golden Axe 3 features a secret formula for determining whether you get the good ending or bad ending. To achieve the good ending you must recover the Golden Axe. How? The game features two versions of the final boss; you'll encounter the first form regardless of what you do as long as you make it to the end of the last level. If you defeat the first form, you'll return from the castle and either 1) teleport back to the final boss room to fight the second from of the final boss; defeat him and you'll collect the Golden Axe or 2) the game ends and some scrolling text tells you that peace has not returned to the land because you did not recover the Golden Axe.

There are 2 factors involved in determining whether you fight the second form of the final boss and a chance to get the good ending:

A) the number of continues remaining after defeating the first form of the final boss (you start the game with 4 continues)
B) the number of possessed main characters defeated during your playthrough.

The formula works like this: if A + B is greater than or equal to 4, you get to fight the second form of the final boss.

So for example if you take the top path at every branch point in the game you won't save any heroes; in this case B is 0, so you'd need all 4 continues when defeating the first form of the final boss to see the second form. However if you take the lower path at every branch point in the game you'd save all 3 main characters, and therefore B = 3; so in this case, if you have have 1 or more continues when defeating the final boss's first form (if A is greater than or equal to 1) you'd fight the second form.

Put another way, you're given 4 continues when you start the game. For every possessed main character you defeat along your path, you're able to lose one of those 4 continues when you defeat the first form of the final boss and still get to fight the second form.

With either Gunstar Red or Gunstar Blue motion: b, db, d, df, f+shot button to execute a powerful standing slide.

During the 2nd Timeron encounter (which is in the Space Battle stage) a timer will begin ticking from 00'00''00.

As the timer keeps going, the Timeron's attacks will change, and at every 20 minutes or so, a circular drone will appear, accompanied by Smash Daisaku's laughter. Avoid this drone for about 2 minutes until it self-destructs, for a single hit will reduce your health to zero.

At about 50'00''00 or so, large blue balls will appear. These will rebound once against the screen, and do 11 points of damage instead of the normal 10 points from the smaller ones.

Once the timer gets up to 99'50''00 or so, don't destroy the Timeron yet. Instead, wait out the remaining 10 seconds whilst avoiding the Timeron's attacks, but don't stay too close to the Timeron, or you'll get killed by the drone.

Once the timer reaches 00'00''00 again, you'll hear that nasty laughter again, but this time, ''GIVE UP!!'' appears in the middle of the screen, and the Timeron will self-destruct, accompanied by the message, ''YOU OPENED THE - SATORI MIND -''.

A bit more of that nasty laughter accompanies the next message, ''REPROGRAMMED BY NAMI - 1993''.

Now, instead of getting a Timer Bonus like you usually would, a Soul Bonus of exactly 930410 points is added to your score. That might be the date that Nami reprogrammed the Timeron, I believe.

Lose all your lives and in the last life, die and immediately press and hold start. If you did it correctly, the screen "resume play and give up" will appear. Choose "give up" and the number of lives disappears.

At the end of Blue lake woods there is a series of blocks just above the flag. Jump to the last one and then press down and right, jump and special together. You will be warped to Plethora, the last level.

In the Casino, hold A+B+C+START on the P2 pad before entering the chicken race room. If done right, the chickens will turn into monsters.

TEST MODE: Pause the game, and go to MODE, uncheck all items, then press Down 8 times. This lets you view sprites, sound test, text messages amongst other things. TEST2 MODE: After activating TEST MODE above, pause the game and enter the new TEST option. Then press Up, A, Right, A, Left, A, Down, A. This lets you view rooms, errors, system info etc. DEBUG MODE: After activating TEST MODE and TEST2 MODE, kill yourself until you get Game Over. Now at the Load Select screen, there should be a new option called DEBUG. Here you can jump to any part of the game and use debug features in your inventory.

On B2, while on your way to the yellow orb, you'll come across a room with some rock columns and a corpse with a scroll piece next to it. In the next room will be 2 goblins and a floor button. Instead of going there straight away, stay in the room with the corpse and move over to the 2 columns attached to each other in the right corner of the room. Attacking the columns will reveal that these 2 are actually made of ice and will shatter. Behind is a switch that will open a secret passage to a room where you can pick up a device called 'Sextant'.

With this item, you can always transport yourself instantly to any teleportation room you have discovered so far from any location in the game!

When examining the nearby area with the A (Talk, Examine) button, the next step you take is guaranteed not to take you into a battle. Keep hitting the A button (Talk, Examine) while you walk, so that after every step it will say ''There seems to be nothing unusual here.'' No random encounters will happen, but it will take quite a while to maneuver through dungeons this way.

This trick allows you to have different music play in other areas, using the slow motion code. First, you go to the area that has the music you want, like the weapons shop for instance. Next, press start and hold B. The game will move in slow motion with no sound, so you can still move. Now, then go to another place and let go of B, then press Start. The music from the place where you first pressed B and Start now plays in this area! Cool glitch!

An escapipe glitch allows players to skip over Nial's generation directly to playing Aron. Aron will need to do some of Nial's quest, but it goes much faster and easier with Aron, thanks to his healing and access to the Aero Parts.

1. As Rhys, before fighting the king of Cille, make sure Wren or Mieu has an escape pipe.
2. After defeating the king, select Nial's route by marrying Lena. (Do not choose Maia as the glitch does not work for Ayn.)
3. As soon as the cinema is over and you can move, go into your menu and use an escapipe.
4. As Nial, you will warp back to Cille dungeon. Walk through it again (you will encounter only Chirpers). The king and Maia are waiting in the same place as for Rhys, defeat him once more (an easy task with full HP/TP and a stronger leader).
5. Select Aron's route by marrying Alair. (Do not choose Laya because Adan will be unable to complete his quest.)

At this point you play as Aron. The Sub Parts, Laya Pendant, Twins Ruby, and Mystery Star that Aron come with are "fakes" that do not work, so Aron will need to collect the real ones as Nial would have.

6. Collect the Aero Parts as normal.
7. Fly to the rebel hideout and pick up the Sub Parts.
8. Go to Hazatak using the caves to Landen, Aquatica, then Aridia.
9. Get Laya as normal.
10. Go to Mystoke and get the Laya pendant.

From this point on finish the game as normal.

At the very start of the game, go to the store and sell Rhys' Boots and Garment to earn some money, then purchase an Escapipe with that money. Now continue with the story as usual. Once Rhys is sent to the dungeon by the King, use the Escapipe to teleport outside of the cell, and go back up the stairs. You will now be locked inside of the area with no way to progress the story. None of the soldiers will interact with you, and the King will state the following if you speak to him:

"You used you're escapipe! Normally a smart move, but now I'm afraid the game can't be continued. Please press the Reset Button and start again."

If you ever happen to get a character to reach level 99, this odd glitch will occur. Instead of putting a level cap, when you reach level 99 all of your characters will be leveled down to around 40~50. And everytime you should go up a level, your character will go down another level. Although your stats screen will still say you are level 99.

Complete the game, and then press B at the ''Start/Continue/Erase'' screen.

Enter the following code at the Title Screen....

A + B + C - Start

A new option should appear allowing you to practice on any level

Clear a stage without using any shuriken, but defeat enemies close enough (if necessary).

Beat the game, allow the ending to completely finish and the game to reset. The sound test is opened by loading a saved game or starting a new one, and entering the code while the screen fades to black after Simone stops talking.

As soon as you get Heal 4 and try to use it, press Left to change it to level 3. The spell range of 3 spaces will flash. Then press B to change it back to level 4. It will have the same range as level 3

In Chapter 3, after fighting the first battle to get the Moon Stone, go inside the cave and search the walls and you will find a secret item called the Sugoi Mizugi. Then, give it to Tao, and now she will have an alternate costume in when fighting in battle.

When the witch asks you to select your file, select a file already beaten (or set a file with the config code) and hold Up and Start and press A.

There is one more battle you can do once the game is completed. Once you've defeated Zeon, watched the end credits, and reached the ''FIN'' screen with the two jewels, wait for about 2 mins. A message will appear that says ''and more...''. press a button and you will begin a special battle with all of the old greater devils.

To get secret Glass Armor item enter random battle then win. When you see text "<HERO> stands victorious" press A + Down + Right on controller 2, then press A on controller 1 to continue.

At the name entry screen, input a name that takes up all the avaliable spaces (5 letter spaces). Then, select the 'forward' button and you will be allowed to enter another name for the next character! This works for all the characters!

Set the amout of shurikens to 0 on the options menu, Set the sounds effects option to Shuriken. Highlight the shurikens option and keep it there and the 0 will change into the symbol for infinity.

Complete a level without throwing any shurikens to get 30,000 bonus points.

Go to the Press Start screen and enter the code: B,A, Right, A, C, Up, Down, A (or baracuda). You should then be taken to the main screen. Press the Start Option ad the level select will appear next. Choose your level and begin play.

If the game crashes, it will take you to the Level Select menu. Wobbling and tapping the game cartridge will usually cause such a crash, taking you to this screen.

Beat the entire game with all the Chaos Emerald. After the credits, the stage select will be on.

Use this code provided, then go to sound select, and select sounds 9F for the ending or 9E for the credits

When you ride the green block accross a sea of lave, there are a couple of big blocks in front of you with rings on. If you hold the D-PAD DOWN button, Sonic will crouch. The green block will go underneath the blocks, but sonic will remain on it, and pass through the walls. Note that this ONLY WORKS WHILE CROUCHING

Using the level select cheat, scroll down and select "Special Stage". Upon completion on the stage, you will receive a chaos emerald, and begin playing your game on the first stage. At this point, RESET the game via the RESET button on your Genesis, re-enter the level select code, and repeat the process. You will enter the next Special Stage level, and have a chance to earn the 2nd Emerald. You can repeat this process over and over until you have all 6 Chaos Emeralds. However, once you have all six, do NOT reset the system and select a level, or else you will lose them all.

Weird trick, but you can play this game in slow motion. First, enter the level select code, found somewhere in the list of all other codes. Then start your game in any level. When you start, press pause. Then hold down B button and try to do anything with Sonic. The game will play in slow motion as long as you hold down the B button.

Normally, when you turn into super sonic you lose tails behind you all the time.

Well, after you put in the debug cheat and have started a level (preferrably Emerald Hill), turn yourself into a box and place it somewhere on the floor WHILE you are super sonic. It should be a switch places box. Hit it and you will see tails will have a permanent invincible circle around him. He will stay like this through the whole level, he will keep up with super sonic or even out run him. A very fun glitch for 2 players.

If you beat the Death Egg with Tails you get the Tails ending.

First, enable the level select cheat and the debug mode which are available here. For this to work, you must choose Sonic and Tails as the players.

After entering the codes, choose any stage from the level select menu(preferrably stage 1)

As soon as you can move Sonic, hold down, and press C(don't let go of down on the D-pad). This will activate Sonic's spin; Tails will copy the Sonic spin also.

Press the B button and Sonic will become the Debug cursor.(Tails will be locked in the sonic spin move).

Press A until you(the debug cursor), displays an enemy sprite, like the monkey or that bee robot. Now that the debug cursor displays an enemy sprite, move the debug cursor to where Tails is, and repeatedly tap C.

This will produce enemies where Tails is, and since Tails is locked in the sonic spin move, he will destroy the enemies. As Tails destroys enemies in this position, press C more until the score for destroying an enemy increases from 100 to 8000 to a 1up. Once you have enough 1ups, press B again to revert to Sonic.

First, Access the Options from the title screen. On the Options Menu, take controller one and press these buttons in this order: A, DOWN, B, DOWN, C, DOWN, A, B, UP, A, C, UP, B, C, UP. If you did it correctly, you will hear a special sound. Go back to the title screen and hold button A and press START for Level 2, B and press START for Level 3, and C and press START to begin on level 4.

In Level three, The Machine, there is a moving platform where you start which takes you to either side of the area. If you stand on the platform and press up or down, the platform will stop, allowing you to get a good look around or plan your jump carefully.

Begin the game. At the screen which reads "Stuna area", press left or right to navigate through the game levels.

Go to the main menu. Hold down (A) + (B) + (C) + RIGHT on controller 2 while selecting Options on controller 1 (best if done with two people). You can now select how many lives you start with and which stage to start on.

To get the Bad Ending, you must be playing as 2 players. You must also be in 2 player mode before Level 8 or else player 2 can't come into the game on Level 8.
When both players reach Mr. X in the final room and he asks his question, make sure one player answers yes and the second answers no. Mr. X will have both players fight each other to the death. Have one player lose and choose game over. Afterwards, Mr. X will ask a second question. Be sure to answer NO to that question as well to trigger the final boss battle. When you beat him, you will become the Boss.
NOTE: If you answer yes, you will again be shut back 2 levels and still not be able to get the bad ending.

Hold Down+C on controller 2 as you enter 2 PLAYER mode with controller 1.

Perform the Super Axel code (turning the D-pad four to seven times clockwise), get 10000 points and let the enemies finish you off. In the name entry screen, enter "H M" (let the second character blank) and click "End". If done correctly, you should listen to a sound confirming the cheat code worked. Select Axel again and he will perform faster kicks.

When playing as Shiva, you can hit the opponent over and over again until they die without them being able to escape you by pressing Z on a 6 button pad or B and C together on a 3 button one over and over again. This will work on any opponent apart from the ones that can block and the bosses (excluding Jet)

Hold B and Up, then press Start. The Stage Select will appear on the options screen.

After being thrown by an enemy, it is possible to prevent taking damage from the fall by holding UP and the JUMP button while falling until you land. Your character should land on his/her feet and not take any damage at all. This is very helpful when fighting enemies like Signals and Ninjas.

Press these controller actions at the title screen:

During any time during the game, simultaneously press and hold the A, B and C buttons and press Start on controller 2.

A test menu should appear with Input, Sound and C.R.T tests. And when you exit, it will send you back to the Sega logo screen.

For this cheat, you need a cursed weapon/suit of armor. Also, having Rafael's Stick helps save some cash, but you don't absolutely need it. Also, if you want the effects to be permanent, your level has to be maxed at 31.

Equip the cursed weapon/armor. Now, either use Rafael's Stick or talk to a priest to remove the curse. Your strength or armor class (depending on what you equipped that was cursed) will go down. Keep re-equipping and removing the cursed item until your Strength/Armor Class goes to a ridiculous #, like 9999 or something like that. Now, re-equip your most powerful weapon/armor, and you'll either kill enemies in one hit guaranteed (Super Strength), or take only 1 damage from any attack from any enemy, including bosses (Invincibility)

In Keltwick, when Bearwulf gives you the dungeon key to get to Malaga, sell it. It's worth 1000 kims and Bearwulf has an unlimited amount of them. Just go back, talk to him and he'll say ''Did you lose the key? I have another one.'' He'll give it to you, and you can repeat the process as much as you want.

Go to the Options Screen, move the pointer up to Shurikins and set them to 00, wait about 30 seconds (without moving the pointer). You will here a sound and the ''00'' should change to an infinite symbol. Start the game and you will have unlimited Shurikins.

Pause the game, then press the following button combinations:

1. UP + (A) + (B) + (C)
2. RIGHT + (A)
3. DOWN + (B)
4. LEFT + (C)

You will hear a sound if you entered the code correctly. Unpause the game, and you will have all but one of the ship pieces collected. The last piece will always be located on the next level.

At the top right of the map on level 1, there is a hidden island with a load of preasents for the taking. You will need rocket skates, an inner-tube or icarus wings to get there.

On Level 1, on the bottom left side, there is a small hole that leads to level 0, which has hula dancers in a tub and a lemomade man who gives you another life. As with Present island you will need rocket skates, an inner-tube, Icarus wings or fall off Level 2 near bottom left to get there. Falling off Level 0 puts Toejam/Earl onto the highest level completed this game.

Enter the following code at the Password screen

To access a debug mode, on the options screen press A, B, B, A, Down, A, B, B, A. A menu will be brought up with health, lives, level select, and weapon options.

At the SEGA screen, move Vectorman slightly to the right of the logo. Aim upwards and shoot. There is a hidden T.V. monitor there. Once it is broken, there will be an orb power up. Grab it and when you use it, the SEGA logo will go dark and the background will stop moving.

When you turn on the game you can move Vectorman around, on the SEGA screen. Shoot the SEGA logo 24 times, jump and hit the sega logo with Vectorman's Head 12 times, and the letters S E G and A will start falling. Catch 90 to 110 letters to start on Stage 5, catch over 110 letters to start on Day 10.

Pause the game, enter any of the following codes, then unpause for the desired effect. NOTE: Codes that contain any of X, Y, Z, and Mode require a six-button controller to enter.

Just highlight Akira if using controller one or Jacky if using controller two. Then press Left and then Right on the D-Pad. Repeat this a few times and Dural should then appear as a selectable character. Now you can use him as your character in the game!

Any Inn throughout the game will still let you spend the night, even if you don't have enough gold. If you're short, they will take whatever you have, even if you don't have any gold at all.
