  2. I mean countering all types of moves whether they have a gun, knife or fist weapon. Isn't there a way to counter their attack with one of you own?

  1. If you mean counter someone using a gun, you select your Melee weapon or fists and get close to them, when they are about to swing at you with their rifle, pull the right trigger and Riddick will counter their attack and kill them - this works great with the Ulaks

  2. It's more of a matter of luck. The counter system isn't too "refined." Usually always if you want to counter something; while holding BLOCK, or LT if you're on the 360, you attack just before they swing at you. On the other hand sometimes your weapon will flash in which you attack and you automatically counter. It's tricky, but it works. Also I remember reading that counters only work with opponent's certain attacks. So the opponent has to do a certain move for you to be able to counter it.

  3. Hold L to block, and hit R while they're swinging, and you'll do a counter. It's not always lethal, but it'll wear people down fast enough. Sometimes I've noticed Riddick does a finishing move to kill people without blocking first, but that might just be a random thing.

  4. if you take a step back you will notice your wepons flash or Riddicks hands open yes it is easier to see this when your pressing L to block but it isnt neccesry. when they flash you hit R to counter. So far i havent been able to counter your "boss" fights so i dont know if thats possable
