ABOUT
==============================================================================
This guide is to assist those players who enjoy collecting rare or unique
vehicles. This guide lists all known proofed, special property, unique, and
even rare vehicles (which often have to be unlocked).

This is NOT a "rare car" guide. Vehicles that appear rarely, but DO appear in
free roam (such as the Comet) do NOT qualify for the scope of this guide. Only
cars that have something special about them that is normally unavailable are
included. This includes special features, paintjobs, proofings, or being
unavailable outside of missions entirely. Vehicles such as these are a staple
of the GTA series, and this entry is no exception.

I wrote this guide with the Xbox 360 version, not the PS3 or PC version. I
don't personally know of any differences between the versions from personal
experience, however I will include any information on known version
differences as best I can. If you notice a difference, such as a particular
strategy or glitch not working, contact me and let me know (and be sure to
mention which version you're playing).

CAUTION! This guide may inadvertently contain spoilers of story missions!
While this guide's scope does not really involve spoiling anything, due to
what is required of it, it does possess a list of mission names at the very
minimum, which may have the potential to spoil parts of the game.

==============================================================================
*1* GLOSSARY OF TERMS
==============================================================================
This is a glossary of all the special terms used in this guide.

BP - Bulletproof. This vehicle will not take damage from bullets. Windows
cannot be damaged, and shots will not count towards the car being destroyed.
Unlike the previous GTAs, tires are apparently also immune to being popped by
 gunfire.

FP - Fireproof. This vehicle will not catch fire or otherwise take damage from
molotovs. Tires can still catch fire unfortunately.

EP - Explosionproof. This car is immune to explosive damage, such as from
grenades, rocket launchers, or exploding cars. Does not stop the car itself
from exploding if somehow critically damaged.

DP - Damageproof. This car cannot be damaged by bashing it around (into other
cars, walls, etc.) or by melee attacks (unproven). The car will still take
cosmetic damage, such as dents and scrapes (even to the point of impeding
functions, such as a wheel well being destroyed).

CP - Comprehensiveproof. This combines the qualities of bulletproof,
 fireproof, explosionproof, and damageproof.

UJ - Unjackable. Now that even locked cars can be jacked by breaking the
windows, UJ means that Niko will simply refuse to break the windows and get
in. Even breaking the windows anyways, he still refuses to open the doors.

Beater - A rustbucket of a car. One of the rusty, falling-apart cars that
occasionally spawn, usually around lower-income areas. Common beaters include
 the Emperor, Sabre, and Vigero.

Confirm - To "confirm" a car is to return to the parking spot where it was
left BEFORE continuing with the game (most notably saving and loading). Cars
parked during missions are retained in parking spots only during that game
session, as parking spots are "turned off" during missions. Confirming a
vehicle causes the game to recall the car, and as a result, store it properly
next time it is removed (when you save and load, or drive away again).
Failure to do this WILL lead to the car vanishing, even though it was in a
parking spot. This also means autosaves are worthless if a car needs to be
confirmed after a mission. Always remember to confirm vehicles stored during
a mission, whether you finished the mission successfully, or failed and need
 to retry it!!!

Description - A description of unique color/feature vehicles and why they are
unique. Usually involves a unique color scheme or features that do not
 normally occur on the vehicle.

Difficulty - A general summary of the relative difficulty, out of 5 stars. The
difficulty level assigned to a vehicle will be based on the easiest strategy
that requires the least of or no mission failures, deaths, arrests, and
cheats. The existence of strategies that utilize those things are usually
much easier than ones without (i.e., the difficulty of obtaining a vehicle
may be in getting it without failing a mission, possibly putting it at 3
stars, while just accepting the mission failure would make obtaining it a
 1-star difficulty).
* Car is practically (or literally) given to player during and/or after
mission, or requires very little effort with no skill or luck involved.
** Car is readily available, but requires a little luck or a minimum of
       effort to successfully obtain.
*** Car requires some determination and manipulation of the game to
       acquire. Possibly a little luck.
**** Car is difficult to obtain, some luck may factor in, and requires a
keen knowledge of and skill at the game.
***** Car is extremely difficult to obtain; very luck-based, requires
difficult maneuvers to succeed, such as pushing to a parking spot
       despite a wanted level.

Discovered by - This is not necessarily the first person to discover a
vehicle, but usually the first person to report it to me. I will, however,
add credit to whoever found it originally if I'm able to determine who it is.

Double-drive - Used in some vehicle strategies, it involves driving two
vehicles at once back to your safehouse. One is generally the special vehicle
you're trying to obtain, while the other is a vehicle important to the
mission that will cause failure should you venture too far from it.

This tactic entails driving one car partway towards the destination (usually
a parking spot), then getting out and driving the other a bit farther. Repeat
until you have the target vehicle in a parking spot, then proceed with the
mission. Slow, but guaranteed to work as long as you don't put too much
distance between the vehicles. You don't risk failing the mission, but rather
the vehicle you're trying for may vanish. If one vehicle is powerful enough
to push the other, you can do that instead to expedite the process.

This can also be used to obtain two vehicles at once, by double-driving both
to a parking spot. Along the same lines, it is possible to triple-drive
vehicles in any instance where there are three vehicles involved, although
 this is much riskier.

Fire Truck Trick - This is simpler than it may sound. The Fire Truck's water
stream is able to not only push small vehicle, but put out any fire that
starts. This allows rapid pushing of motorcycles and other such vehicles
without concern for their damage, as if they catch fire, it will put it out,
restoring it back to simply heavily smoking. This is a much, much quicker and
more effective strategy than it sounds. On top of that, the Fire Truck is one
of the best pushing vehicles available, and can be summoned on demand in
almost any mission by dialing 911 and requesting fire service.

Formulated by - This is who informed me of the strategy to obtain the vehicle.
Vehicles that were pointed out to me, but where I was given no strategy to
obtain it often lead to me developing the strategy, although most will have
the same entry for Discovered and Formulated by.

NOTE: Vehicles that are given to you or are made very obviously available are
not given strategy credit, primarily because they are too simple to even call
a strategy. "Get inside and drive to a parking spot" really isn't deserving
 of credit.

GTAIV - References to GTAIV refer specifically to the main game and storyline
of GTAIV itself, i.e., the game with Niko as the player character. For the
purposes of this guide, it is considered a completely separate game from both
the TLAD and TBoGT DLC episodes. This is the game that this guide is written
 for.

Hybrid - A vehicle with multiple different mutually-exclusive features loaded
at once. The classic example is the "hybrid grill" on some PMP 600s used in
story missions: the game loads both the standard grill and the "tuner" grill
(used by the Mafia's PMP 600s), resulting in both textures being present and
combining into a new appearance. Other instances involve the normal and tuner
versions of a vehicle both loading, resulting in a mixture of both.

Jack - To jack a vehicle means to steal it. This is probably not a necessary
entry, but I figured I'd add it just in case.

Mission replay checkpoint - This entry denotes the point in the mission where
the most recent checkpoint exists. When replaying a mission via the special
Mission Replay text sent to your cellphone, it loads at the latest checkpoint
instead of the beginning of the mission. This can make getting these special
vehicles much easier, by cutting out a large portion of the mission prior.

This will only be listed for vehicles that benefit from it. If no mission
replay checkpoint is mentioned, it means that the vehicle appears in the
mission before the first checkpoint (and so the mission restarts entirely),
or that the vehicle is given to you later with no strings attached (such as
the bright yellow Comet in No. 1), making a checkpoint unnecessary.

Palette - The selection of colors a vehicle can be found in. Usually randomly
selected when a vehicle is created.

Random - Denotes an aspect of a vehicle that is randomized. Only mentioned
where the randomness is a component of what makes a vehicle special or
 unique.

Rare - An "unlockable" vehicle. My official definition is a vehicle that
cannot be obtained at the start of the game, but can be obtained infinitely
without exception at the end of the game. They are still special, but not as
 special as others.

Tuner - A "tuner" car is a special modified version of the vehicle, usually
adding spoilers and other after-market modifications. These cars usually come
in only one color. They still have the same name as the base vehicle, so a
tuner Sentinel is still labeled "Sentinel" in the game. A lot of tuner cars
in this game are NOT actually unique, but can be found randomly on the street
(albeit rare at times), and thus will not be included in this guide unless
 otherwise warranted.

Unique - This vehicle has a unique name displayed and is found in story
missions only, or other limited availability missions, and thus can be
permanently missed on a playthrough if not obtained when the chance is
 available.

Unlockable - Denotes a vehicle that is only infinitely available either
through story missions and/or by unlocking it at some point through the
story, whether by completing a mission, finishing a side mission, or even a
vehicle that is only available during a side mission, but is repeatedly
available by doing the mission over and over at your leisure. These vehicles
 cannot be missed permanently.

Unobtainable - A vehicle that cannot be either obtained or permanently stored
 for various reasons.

NOTE: During some missions, AI drivers that you chase are given "super"
stats: speed, acceleration, turning, etc., designed to ensure that you cannot
catch up to them until the game deems it okay (usually involves the target
reaching their destination intact). If you are in danger of catching up or
passing them (or if you take a shortcut to do so), they hyper-accelerate to
stay in the lead. They also tend to slow down and "wait" for you if you fall
too far behind, although they never stop completely. This goes along with the
fact such chases are usually scripted.

==============================================================================
*2* SAFEHOUSES AND PARKING SPOTS
==============================================================================
These are places to store your vehicles. Whenever a parking spot is loaded
into the game's memory, the vehicles therein are restored to top condition and
health. Even destroyed vehicles will be repaired, so long as you get the
carcass of the vehicle into the spot. Even helicopters and boats may be saved
in parking spots. Each spot can hold two vehicles maximum. More than two cars
CAN be stored in a parking spot on a temporary basis, however. It will retain
3+ cars normally, however whenever you save and reload the game, you will find
only two cars remaining, chosen randomly from any that were "in the space" at
the time of saving.

Parking spots are ALWAYS available, even if you do not own the safehouse yet,
or have lost it via story progression.

It was brought to my attention by Matt J that a viable strategy for obtaining
most special vehicles in missions is to park it in a parking spot, then commit
suicide. This will fail the mission, and upon return to the parking spot, the
vehicle will still be there.

The total amount of vehicle storage available is 10 (5 parking spots).

1: Roman's Apartment, Mohawk Ave., Hove Beach (Broker)
-Unlocked after The Cousins Bellic, lost after Roman's Sorrow

2: Mallorie's Apartment, Joliet St., South Bohan (Bohan)
-Unlocked after Roman's Sorrow

3: Roman's New Apartment, Albany Ave., Middle Park East (Algonquin)
-Unlocked after Hostile Negotiation

4: Playboy X's Mansion, Xenotime St., Northwood (Algonquin)
-Unlocked after The Holland Play (choose Playboy X)

5: Ray's Apartment, Mahesh Ave., Alderney City (Alderney)
-Unlocked after Smackdown

NOTE: Motorcycles in parking spots have a particular behavior which can be
troublesome for extended storage. Every time the motorcycle is "loaded" into
the game world, it repositions it based on the "center" of the vehicle's
actual position, NOT on where it touches the ground. This means that every
time it is loaded, it spawns a little bit farther in whichever direction it is
leaning.

If leaning towards the curb, it will eventually reach the curb, and from then
on simply load while sitting against it. This is the position you want the
motorcycle to be in, as it will last indefinitely. However, if it leans
towards the street, it will continue creeping closer and closer, until it
finally is spawned IN the street, outside of the parking spot, and thus will
vanish for good once you leave the area. Always make sure motorcycles lean
towards the curb.

Some quirks parking spots have:
Hove Beach: During the mission Ivan the Not So Terrible, approaching the taxi
depot from the north (instead of south) will cause the chase to occur in a
way that goes right past the parking spot. A Chavos will spawn in the parking
spot, making it likely that vehicles will be displaced.

South Bohan: If an obstacle is placed correctly on the road near the parking
spot, cars driving down the road often swerve directly into the spot,
displacing any vehicles there. This can get so bad that you cannot leave
without losing a car, because any time you re-park the cars, another will
knock them out before you can leave. Be very careful about this!

Middle Park East: If you take a taxi to either the safehouse's icon, or to a
waypoint set to the icon, it will park in the middle of the parking spot,
displacing your existing cars. This is especially bad if you trip skip.

==============================================================================
*3* ADVANCED STRATEGIES
==============================================================================
This is a listing of various advanced strategies for obtaining special
vehicles , and other similar pursuits.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.1 - EVERYTHING-PROOFED (CP) VEHICLES AND HOW TO CREATE THEM
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Credit goes to noisyassassin, GTA_Loco, and people in this topic:
http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=933037&topic=43464167
GTA_Loco writes the following:

COMPREHENSIVEPROOF VEHICLES
Dating the various girlfriends in the game allows you to apply proofings to
any vehicle in the game.

Comprehensiveproof (CP) is an attribute that renders a vehicle immune to any
attacks. It is a combination of bullet, explosion, fire, and damage proof
properties. The only things that can "destroy" a CP vehicle is flipping it on
its top, or losing it in water. The term comprehensiveproof was developed by
GTA_Loco to replace Everythingproof, which shared an abbreviation (EP) with
Explosionproof.

To do this requires unlocking the dating of girlfriends, at the soonest
unlocked via the mission First Date. It will also require scaring the girl,
failing the date and, with the three internet-based girlfriends, possibly
losing them altogether. They may be re-dated later on, but it will essentially
start the relationship over entirely.

It should be noted this is not a new feature in GTA; both San Andreas and Vice
City Stories had ways to apply proofings to vehicles, but in a much more
limited capacity, and from a story mission (meaning it could not be used at
all times).

STRATEGY: First, have a pistol, submachinegun, or grenades/molotovs. Next,
start a date. Once the girl is in the vehicle, fire your weapon. The girl will
leave the vehicle and the date will fail for scaring her off.

Once the date fails, a cutscene will play. Once it has played, you will be
left in the car, which will now be CP. To keep it, simply drive it to a
parking spot and leave it there. Note that these vehicles seem to have a
tendency to vanish from parking spots quite easily, or possible lose their
proofing (at least initially), so it may require persistence to keep a CP'd
vehicle!

If you attempt to do Police side-missions with a CP'd vehicle, it will remove
its proofings. You can always re-apply them afterwards, but just be aware that
you can't use them during the mission. Additionally, going on a date in a CP
car removes the property, so be careful when using the car!

------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.2 - USING COPS TO TRANSPORT UNJACKABLE CARS
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This strategy is courtesy of GTA Phreak. It gives a strategy to get cops to
jack UJ vehicles and "transport" them for you. Cops aren't bound by the
unjackable attribute some special vehicles have, making them a good method to
get difficult vehicles long distances. He writes the following:

USING COPS TO DRIVE UNJACKABLE CARS
In general the cops will chase your vehicle on foot as long as you're very
close. When you get a certain distance away from the cop he will stop chasing
you and head for the nearest vehicle (the effect is clearly visible if you
observe him while slowly pulling away).

They don't seem to prefer parked cars over stopped and still occupied cars,
but they will backtrack away from you if there's a car behind them. Cops in
cars will chase your vehicle and try to ram you regardless of what their car
(or bike) is. Beware that only real police cars are marked on radar. They will
leave their car if it gets flipped, catches fire or gets stuck for a prolonged
time. They will also exit their car if you exit your vehicle near them or you
get stuck for a prolonged time near them. Their car will not disappear as long
as there are cops in it, even if left out of sight. There's a more general
police unspawning effect that can remove them if you move very far away
(several blocks).

Getting your unjackable car transported by the cops is all about manipulating
the above to your advantage.

To get cops into the vehicle, get a wanted level (or dial 911-1) and
preferably jack the first police car that arrives at the scene. That will
leave cops on foot and you will be driving a vehicle. Drive back and forth
past the vehicle you want transported, - just beyond the distance where
they'll give up chasing you on foot, while keeping the target vehicle in
sight.

Once they're in the vehicle lead them away, they will chase you relentlessly.
In this phase you cannot leave your vehicle or get stuck near the vehicle
being transported, if you do the cops will abandon their vehicle. If you have
to change car you need to do it far enough away so that they'll still prefer
driving after you (I'm not sure how far that is, I never had to swap vehicle).
You can't really control if they flip the vehicle or damage it so much that it
catches fire. But avoid starting fires they can get caught in. If they get
stuck, double back, and if possible lead them off in a different direction
(use the situation to temporarily lose as many of the other pursuers as
possible).

Once you're getting close to your parking space allow the transported vehicle
to close up and to start ramming you. You want it to ram you from within your
parking space, with your own vehicle blocking right next to the space. Once
the target vehicle is within the space, exit. That will cause the cop driving
the transported vehicle to exit as well and start chasing you on foot. The
reaction is almost instant, so it isn't difficult to achieve.

Although your target vehicle most likely isn't equipped with a shotgun, all
other cops you dragged along will also exit their police cars, and they will
have shotguns, so don't linger. Either sprint inside your safehouse and
save/sleep off the wanted level or sprint down the street and grab a different
vehicle (possibly one you had parked earlier and rammed a bit down the
street). You need it to be a bit down the street, otherwise you could get the
target vehicle re-jacked. Leave the area as fast as possible, allowing the
parking space to store the target vehicle before the cops can mess with it.

Executing a mission replay might also work, but using the phone under fire is
difficult. Although you only need a 1 star wanted level to do all this, it
will eventually escalate to 2 stars because you'll be evading arrest (by the
cop driving your target vehicle). It is however much easier to make progress
at 1 star, so get as much distance as possible before the wanted level rises.

Keep in mind, the mission must NOT be active to accomplish this! Cops won't
touch cars "marked" as part of the mission, so the mission must be inactive
(pass or fail) to pull this off.

Following is a list of vehicles this strategy may be effective for obtaining.
They are rated with one to five stars, based on the theoretical value of this
trick vs. simply pushing the car, based on factors such as distance to travel,
and the weight of the vehicle that must be pushed. All of these are
theoretical, and this trick may not work on some vehicles (for whatever
reason). Attempt at your own risk.

Confirmations of it working would be awesome.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.3 - DEATH: THE EASIEST STRATEGY OF ALL
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hardly an "advanced" strategy, this is nonetheless an essential strategy to
make known. Almost any vehicle in the game can easily be obtained by parking
it in a parking spot (whether driven or pushed there), then just killing Niko
somehow (or getting him busted). When he respawns, the vehicle will be waiting
in the parking spot, as any mission that was in progress will have been
failed.

Given that this strategy accumulates deaths (and often, mission failures) on
Niko's stats record, it may not be for everyone, but it is a general all-
purpose strategy that can be used on many vehicles. The only time when I will
specifically refer to dying or being busted as a strategy throughout this
guide will be when it is the only option that works for obtaining a vehicle.
Anything else more complicated than "get in vehicle and drive to a parking
spot" can be assumed to have putting it in a parking spot and killing yourself
be a viable alternative.

==============================================================================
*4* UNIQUE VEHICLES
==============================================================================
These vehicles only appear during story missions, and once the game is
completed, cannot be acquired without cheating.

Always remember to confirm vehicles stored during a mission, whether you
finished the mission successfully, or failed and need to retry it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.1 - Solid Black Roman's Taxi
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Missions: The Cousins Bellic
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? YES
Discovered by: Coen91

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: Roman's Taxi normally has a lighter gray left front fender. The
fender on this one is the same color as the rest of the car. As with other
Roman's Taxis, respraying this will change it to a red, silver, or black
color, with the black having a differently-colored front left fender, making
this specific paintjob impossible to acquire via respraying.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Park it in the Hove Beach parking spot, then either get busted or
wasted. The mission will restart, and when you return to the parking spot, the
old taxi from the previous attempt will be there. Abandoning the vehicle to
fail the mission results in it disappearing, and finishing the mission removes
the vehicle used in the mission, so being busted or wasted is the only way to
obtain this vehicle. Additionally, wrecking the vehicle will not save it in
the parking spot, so there is simply no way of keeping it without failing and
also a death or arrest.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.2 - Roman's Taxi
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Missions: It's Your Call, Three's a Crowd, Bleed Out, Easy Fare, Jamaican
Heat, Uncle Vlad, Roman's Sorrow; and some side missions
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? YES and No
Required: High Roman like stat (60%+) for one
Discovered by: Common knowledge (Swift helped with identifying it as unique)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is the standard version of Roman's Taxi, in the usual black
color, but with a slightly discolored front left fender that is lighter than
the rest of the car. All versions of the taxi from any point in the game
except the first mission will have this color. When resprayed at a Pay n'
Spray, it can also be a red or silver color. The original black color can be
restored, however the front left fender will be a different color altogether.
It is unknown whether the default color of this car can be restored via a Pay
n' Spray.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Obtain it from one of the listed missions. It's Your Call,
Three's a Crowd, Bleed Out, Easy Fare, and Jamaican Heat can end with you in
control of the car. Park the vehicle in the Hove Beach parking spot during
Uncle Vlad (the taxi itself is in the garage at the start, but using it is not
required). Do the same in Roman's Sorrow, taking the taxi from the alley.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: Call Roman for the taxi service perk. The driver will show up in
this vehicle. Jack it and take to a parking spot. This vehicle is replaced
with a Cavalcade after the mission Hostile Negotiation and becomes unavailable
from this source.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 3: Call Roman and request to work for the cab company. He will
instruct you to pick up a cab from the depot. Completing 10 total fares lets
you keep it. Alternatively, park it in a parking spot and shoot it until the
taxi mission fails. Quickly leave the area so the car doesn't explode. Either
strategy lets you keep the car. The taxi missions become unavailable after
completing 10 total fares OR completing the mission Russian Revolution.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.3 - Laundromat (1st of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Hung Out to Dry (Vlad Glebov)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? YES
Discovered by: Common knowledge

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is the van driven by the Laundromat owner. Instead of going
to the front of the building, go around back and get inside the van. When Niko
breaks the window to get in, you'll fail the mission for scaring the dry
cleaner. Just drive it to a parking spot afterwards.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: This vehicle can appear randomly on the streets, but ONLY if you are
driving one yourself, or much less likely, if one was recently in the game's
memory (such as after a mission featuring it). Thus, it is still unique, as
you won't see one unless you're already driving one from a mission.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.4 - Police Stockade (1st of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Three Leaf Clover (Patrick McReary)
Difficulty: ****
Mission failure? YES
Required: A heavy vehicle and huge cojones
Discovered by: Helped by Metzger0528

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: The Police Stockade is a unique variant of the Securicar that is
only found in two missions. It will randomly have a bulletproof mesh on the
front window, so two variants of this vehicle exist. One might consider this
vehicle one of the greatest prizes in GTAIV to acquire without mission
failures.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Two of these barricade the streets after escaping the bank. The
problem is that they are UJ, and even if you fail the mission, they will
remain UJ. The only way to obtain one is to push it to a parking spot after
failing the mission. The problem? The 5-star wanted level stays even after
failing the mission, so pushing it to a parking spot will be very difficult.
It's technically possible to do, but don't count on succeeding. Just grab the
next one available unless you REALLY need that mesh. Also, you can't just
escape the 5-star level first, since the trucks will vanish.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: Fail the mission near these trucks and then use the "remove wanted
level" cheat (267-555-0100). Get a good pushing vehicle and begin a slow push
towards the Middle Park East parking spot. The cheat may become necessary if
another wanted level is gained while pushing, so be careful with it.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 3: Use the trick outlined in section 3.2 (cops jack UJ vehicles for
you) by failing the mission, then getting in a vehicle and remaining near the
Police Stockades. Wait for a cop to get inside, and proceed with the strategy,
luring the cop back to a parking spot. Keep in mind this is not confirmed to
work, so if the police won't jack the stockades, it could be that they just
won't touch the stockade for some reason.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 4: If you still have one of Ray Boccino's missions available in
Little Italy (near the bank) you may be able to obtain this without cheats OR
a 5-star wanted level. After failing the mission, get a vehicle. You can dial
for a Fire Truck if necessary, but it won't show up unless the mission has
been failed. Then, push a Stockade towards the mission marker for Ray and
start the mission. After the mission begins, your wanted level will be gone,
but the Stockade should (hopefully) still be there. Now you can push it to a
parking spot at your leisure. Be sure to confirm it afterwards should you go
on to complete Ray's mission!

<<Formulated by: Joe King>>

----------------------------------------
NOTE: Strategy 4 is probably the best bet for keeping this with minimal
impact, especially for non-cheaters. It's not terribly difficult to pull off,
assuming a bunch of Enforcers don't descend on the location immediately upon
failing Three Leaf Clover.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.5 - Laundromat (2nd of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Meltdown (Ray Boccino)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: During the chase, the traffic that appears is scripted, as it is
in all chases. When you reach Hematite St., there will be a line of cars
waiting for the light (ignored, of course, by your targets). In this lineup is
a Laundromat truck. If you keep up with the target's car, just get out of your
vehicle, jack the Laundromat, and finish the mission with it instead. See 5.23
- Lustered Silver Banshee w/ black stripe for tips on how to make sure you
keep the Laundromat post-mission.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: Once inside the Laundromat, drive the Laundromat right to a
parking spot and fail the mission. Much easier to pull off.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: This vehicle can appear randomly on the streets, but ONLY if you are
driving one yourself, or much less likely, if one was recently in the game's
memory (such as after a mission featuring it). Thus, it is still unique, as
you won't see one unless you're already driving one from a mission.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.6 - Police Stockade (2nd of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Vehicle is UJ)
Mission: Tunnel of Death (Derrick McReary)
Difficulty: *****
Mission failure? No
Required: Heavy pushing vehicle
Discovered by: Chris Allen

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: The Police Stockade is a unique variant of the Securicar that is
only found in two missions. It will randomly have a bulletproof mesh on the
front window, so two variants of this vehicle exist. One might consider this
vehicle one of the greatest prizes in GTAIV to acquire without mission
failures.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Proceed with the mission until the Stockade is acquired and the
disposal site is reached. While the Stockade is now UJ, you can push it back
to a parking spot with a hefty vehicle. The Presidente you move to obviously
won't do, so jack something else. A Fire Truck is ideal, and can be called by
dialing 911 and ordering fire service, or you can park one in the Alderney
parking spot before the mission and double-drive it to the disposal site with
the Stockade.

Now comes the hard, long road (literally and figuratively). You must double-
drive the Fire Truck and Presidente all the way to your Alderney parking spot,
using the Fire Truck to push the Stockade. This is very tedious. Try backing
into the Stockade to push it, as this causes less damage to the engines and
allows both vehicles to last longer. You can't afford to risk a star to jack a
new vehicle en route.

Make sure not to ever travel too far from the Police Stockade, or else it will
vanish. Fortunately, as it is considered part of the (still in progress)
mission, it is resistant to vanishing. If you do get a wanted level, call Kiki
to clear it, and wait one in-game day (~48 minutes of real time) for her to
recharge. When you reach the big intersection, go east, especially if using a
Fire Truck.

Once you reach the block with the parking spot on the north side, park the
Presidente in the alleyway there. It can wait there until the Stockade is
safely in the parking spot. Push the Stockade east to the intersection, then
begin north up the hill. The Fire Truck has plenty of pushing power to manage
this task.

Finally, push it around to the west and into the parking spot. Return to the
Presidente and finish the mission, returning to confirm it afterwards!
<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: As the mission takes off in the Booth Tunnel, Packie gets out of
the Biff opposite you and runs behind a patrol car parked behind the Stockade.
Just run up to him before you kill off all of the guards, and shoot him until
he dies. You will fail the mission with a "Packie is Dead" message, but the
truck will stay in place and you'll probably only have a 1-star wanted level.
Then, just drive the truck to a nearby parking spot to keep it.

<<Formulated by: Metzger0528>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 3: Once you have ditched the Stockade and switched to the Presidente,
use the strategy in 3.2 (Cop Transport) to move it to a parking spot. The main
difference is that you will need to use the Presidente as your vehicle, not a
cop car, which can make it slightly harder. To get the wanted level easily,
shoot the ground in sight of the cops. Once it's in the parking spot, kill the
cops that are on foot, and drive away fast. Lose the wanted level, finish the
mission, and return to confirm.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 4: To obtain both this and 6.23 - Bright Red Biff, complete the
mission until Packie tells you to get into the Stockade. At this point, run a
moderate distance away from the vehicles to the east (the direction is
important), approach Packie, and do a melee attack to push him down. Quickly
run to the Biff and get inside (the wanted level won't be aggravated unless
you get inside the Stockade), then use it to start pushing the Stockade out of
the tunnel to the west (towards Alderney). Packie will stay where he was left,
as he should've been lured far enough away that the game gives the "Don't
abandon Packie" message and marking him as the objective. He'll stay put until
you get close to him, which you don't want to do. Once the mission fails for
abandoning him, you can double-drive the Biff and Stockade to your parking
spot, although sometimes you may exit the mission with a 1-star wanted level.
Call Kiki to get rid of it if necessary.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.7 - Romero
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Undertaker (Francis McReary)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Neo

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Once the mission is completed, the Romero will be on the street
nearby. You can run after the Romero and just jack it. If you killed Francis,
it will turn left, heading to a dead end where it u-turns. Block it with
another car (taken from the cemetery parking lot), and jack it. If you killed
Derrick, the Romero will be right next to you after the cutscene. Just quickly
run up to it and jack it. In either case, shooting at the Romero can be a good
emergency measure, often forcing the driver to stop and flee.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: This vehicle first appears at the start of the mission, parked
outside of the church. It is UJ at this point though. To easily obtain it with
a mission failure, drive it to a parking spot, then shoot and kill Packie.

<<Formulated by: Neo>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: This vehicle can appear randomly on the streets, but ONLY if you are
driving one yourself, or much less likely, if one was recently in the game's
memory (such as after a mission featuring it). Thus, it is still unique, as
you won't see one unless you're already driving one from a mission.

==============================================================================
*5* LUSTERED VEHICLES
==============================================================================
Lustered vehicles are vehicles with a "luster" to them. A luster is a
secondary color that can only be seen well in certain light. The vehicles
with lusters are predominantly black, but some are silver, and a select
few are other colors. The best light for viewing lusters is different
depending on the base color. Black is best between 11am and 3pm, while
white/silver lusters are best seen in twilight (dawn or dusk). Direct
sunlight between 11am and 3pm often drowns out white/silver cars' lusters
entirely. Generally, the lighter the base color, the closer to twilight it
should be viewed at.

Lusters are called "pearlescent" colors in GTAV, and the vehicle modification
of that game (along with analyzing the game files of both games) reveals that
the underlying mechanics are largely the same between GTAIV and GTAV. As a
result, there are a large number of "luster" colors available that are chosen
and applied randomly to these vehicles, accounting for the variation in both
intensity and color of lusters. Modifying vehicles to test these pearlescent
colors also shows that several "lusters" are difficult or impossible to
realistically observe on many non-black base colors, as well as a large number
of lusters that ARE grayscale (white, gray, silver, black, etc.) and thus
extremely difficult to detect relying purely on its visual appearance.

Lusters found in traffic are pre-determined by a vehicle's palette, and will
always be the same (such as the common silver w/ green luster Habanero). But
all vehicles in this section have a random luster, which in GTAIV makes them
unique.

As far as I'm aware, all lustered vehicles probably have a unique base color
as well, although in some cases it is possible that the base color scheme is
NOT unique in and of itself. However, all lustered vehicles DO have a luster,
even if it's barely visible (or not at all), so retrieving a vehicle from a
mission as listed here will make it unique, even if there's an identical base
color version that spawns in traffic. Vehicles with a definite unique base
color or feature will be marked with a (sp) tag.

5.1 - Lustered Silver Merit
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mission: First Date (Roman Bellic)
Difficulty: *
Discovered by: Unknown

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a silver Merit with a luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is Michelle's car, the one you drive during the mission. Just
keep it intact and park it after finishing the mission.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.2 - Lustered White Blista Compact w/ dark gray siding (sp) (1st of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Clean Getaway (Vlad Glebov)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? YES
Discovered by: Justin Blalock, Esperanto (luster)
(Unique features in addition to luster)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This Blista Compact is a pure white color, compared to the
"normal" variation of this color, which is actually light silver. The siding
is also a dark gray instead of the usual black, and the car itself is
lustered. The siding is unique in addition to the luster, and the base color
probably is as well.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is the target car. The only way to keep it for yourself is to
fail, so after claiming the car, you need to damage it enough that the mission
fails. This is actually quite simple, requiring only to flip the car over.
Push it with a larger vehicle to turn it over, and after a few seconds, the
mission will fail, leaving the car all to yourself. Continue pushing it until
it is back on its wheels, and drive it to a parking spot.

parked right outside the bar. Just drive it the across the street into your
parking spot before heading out. Once the mission is finished, remember to
confirm it! Also, be careful if you approach the taxi depot from the north
during the mission, as it will cause a Chavos to spawn in the parking spot,
potentially displacing this vehicle, or any others parked there!

Mission: Ivan the Not So Terrible (Vlad Glebov)
Difficulty: *

Description: A black Ruiner with yellow siding and a luster. Whether the roof
is open or closed is random and cannot be changed once the car is acquired.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Ivan the Terrible drives this during the chase. Keeping it is quite
simple: after the vehicle chase ends, get inside the Ruiner BEFORE chasing
Ivan through the building. Then, after the mission is completed, return to the
Ruiner and drive to a parking spot. Getting in first is important, as it will
vanish by the time the mission ends otherwise.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is parked in Faustin's driveway, in front of the Turismo that
will always spawn. Just drive it to a parking spot if you want it, remembering
to confirm it after finishing the mission. It is probably easiest to wait
until the next mission to obtain this car, however, especially if you plan to
also obtain a lustered Speedo.

5.6 - Lustered Black Speedo
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mission: Crime and Punishment (Mikhail Faustin)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: A fully black Speedo with a luster. The livery on the side is
randomized.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the lusters.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: There are three of these, and they are the mission targets. Any of
them may be lustered, but the true target (with the flatscreens) cannot be
obtained without failing. Find one of the others, pull it over, take it to
your Hove parking spot, then go north to the police station and get another
police car. You can spot the true target because you can see the flatscreens
in the back, and it has two people in the cabin (driver and passenger/guard).

Worth noting is that the true target (with the flarscreens) does not actually
appear until at least one Speedo has already been stopped and searched. Once
this is done, one of the other two Speedos is randomly determined to be the
true target. This allows three chances per attempt to get a suitable luster,
so long as all three vans are checked before stopping one.

Description: This is the Russian tuner version of the Schafter (black, with

grill. It also has a luster. The silver grill on the Russian Schafter makes
this car unique even without a visible luster, like the non-lustered versions
also found.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Follow the mission as normal up until you get into Rivas' car.
When the Schafter appears in the alley after the cutscene, kill the driver and
claim the car. Carefully double-drive the two cars back to your Hove Beach
parking spot, park the Schafter in it, and finish the mission. Alternatively,
you can push the Schafter with the Oracle (or vice versa). Just be careful
when pushing, as being too violent will earn you a star.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: With some extra effort, this vehicle can be obtained along with
the Sultan and/or NRG900 from the same mission. Simple triple-drive or even
quadra-drive the desired vehicles to a parking spot. Obtaining all three
vehicles without failing is quite difficult, as not only will quadra-driving
take an exceptionally long time with a very real chance of losing at least one
vehicle, but once you reach the parking spot in Hove, Bohan, or Middle Park,
you still have to double-drive the Oracle along with one remaining vehicle to
another parking spot. In this instance, it is probably best to use Middle Park
or Bohan as the first spot, and Xenotime or Middle Park as the second spot.

Note that quadra-driving and retaining three vehicles across two parking spots
after the mission ends is not something I have personally accomplished, but I
have reports of others succeeding. But for the love of all that is good and
right, DO NOT forget to CONFIRM all of the vehicles if you attempt this!

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 3: Same as strategy 1, except just fail the mission by driving the
Schafter back to a parking spot. When you go far enough away from the Oracle,
the mission will fail.

Description: This is a black Sultan with a luster. Both varieties (with and
without a hood scoop) are available.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: See 5.12 - Lustered Black Schafter w/ silver grill's strategies.
Unlike the Schafter, two Sultans come after you after you leave the alley. One
is parked outside the nearby exit, and the other drives in quickly after you
leave, making it easier to find one with a suitable luster.

Description: This is a black NRG with a luster. Quite an awesome vehicle, if

Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: See 5.12 - Lustered Black Schafter w/ silver grill's strategies.
This vehicle only appears if you exit the alley to the north, turning west out
of the alley. An assailant will spawn on this NRG900 to the left (south) of
your car as you exit.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5.15 - Lustered Light Blue SuperGT
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Vehicle is UJ)
Mission: No. 1 (Brucie Kibbutz)
Difficulty: ***
Mission failure? No
Required: Pushing vehicle
Discovered by: GTA_Loco and robrabbitman (lustered), EKGene (no failure)
!!!UNAVAILABLE ON PS3 VERSION!!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a light blue colored Super GT. Normally only darker blue
colors are available for it. On top of that, it also has a luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Complete the mission until the race, then check to ensure the
SuperGT has a desired luster. Proceed with the race until the last checkpoint,
then sit in front of it and watch behind your car. Wait for the other racers
to get close, then accelerate and finish the race. The other racers should
continue driving, so find the light blue SuperGT and wait for it to come to a
stop. Once this happens, push it to a garage. If you want to keep the bright
yellow Comet too, use it to push the SuperGT.

<<Formulated by: EKGene>>
(video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4cBDrJRHxk)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: This is an easier method, but requires mission failure. Complete
the mission up to where you begin the race, but don't enter the marker. Find
another vehicle (preferably a big one, such as an SUV), and park it near your
Comet. Shoot Brucie, killing him and failing the mission. Next, get into the
vehicle you fetched and drive at the Super GT, trying to flip it over. Once
flipped, the driver will flee. Proceed to flip it back onto its wheels, and
push it to the Hove Beach safehouse using the heavy vehicle. Be careful not to
attract a wanted level while pushing, or the police will make life difficult.

Make sure you fail the mission by killing Brucie, otherwise he will drive you
back to his house after failing! The SuperGT driver must be forced from his
car as well, or killed (after killing Brucie), or the car will vanish even if
you reach the parking spot. Plus, he may try to drive away.

To help avoid a wanted level for shooting Brucie, get one star before shooting
him. When you shoot him and fail the mission, your star will be erased, and
the shots that killed him will have counted towards the wanted level prior to
losing it.

NOTE: This vehicle is unobtainable on the PS3 version because it always
disappears after the mission ends, pass or fail. (confirmed by multiple people)

5.16 - Lustered Black Cavalcade w/ dark rims (sp)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Deconstruction for Beginners (Playboy X)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: -Morbid-
(Unique features in addition to luster)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a black Cavalcade with a luster. Its rims are also black,
unlike the usual silver or gold, making this unique regardless of the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: This vehicle is the one with the weapons Playboy X readied for the
mission. After getting in and retrieving the weapons, get back in and drive it
to a parking spot, then proceed with the mission.

<<Formulated by: -Morbid->>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: There is another of these dark-rimmed Cavalcades parked inside
the actual construction site. One of the guards falls on top of it when (if)
you snipe him before starting the attack. After clearing the area, but before
finishing the mission, drive it to a safehouse. It's probably easier to just
get Playboy X's Cavalcade though.

gray/black Banshee. Oh, and it has a luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is parked near the basketball court where the target is
located. Take it to a parking spot before attacking the target to keep it. Be
sure to confirm it afterwards! You can also just take it as you leave the area
instead.

whichever you'd like, but choose wisely.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: These are parked around the basketball court where the target is
located. Take the one you want to a parking spot, then continue the mission
and complete it. Both can be taken, if desired, along with the Sabre GT as
well.

5.19 - Lustered Black Sentinel w/ black rims (1st of 2)

Mission: Wrong is Right (U.L. Paper)
Difficulty: ****
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This Sentinel has black rims and a luster. Normal Sentinels have
silver rims. It is also UJ. Feel sorry for it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Oleg uses this car during the chase. The same tactics apply as other
vehicles used during chases: shoot the target through the window whenever you
get the chance. The problem here is that it's UJ after the mission ends. To
keep it, you must push it to a parking spot with another vehicle. Either
Middle Park East or Northwood will work, although Northwood may be better.
Also, Oleg's body must be knocked out of the car for it to be saved. This can
be accomplished by repeatedly rolling the car with another large vehicle (the
Fire Truck is recommended).

Description: A black Emperor with a luster. This is a normal version, not the
beater variant that's all rusty with rust.

probably driven there by the guys who take the helicopter. Look behind a
nearby building to find it.

Mission: Lure (Francis McReary)
Difficulty: *

Discovered by: Lancet Jades and GTA_Loco

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a black Dukes with a luster. The extra features that
Dukes have (air intake on hood, or just a raised section) are still
randomized every time the mission is played.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This car is parked on the street below the target's apartment. Once
you reach the building, get in the Dukes, then get right back out to "mark" it
as your current car, otherwise it'll vanish after you finish the mission.
Proceed with the execution, and return to the bottom of the building and
drive this car away to finish the mission. Take it to a parking spot at your
leisure.

Mission: Actions Speak Louder Than Words (Gerald McReary)
Difficulty: ***
Mission failure? YES
Required: Pushing vehicle
Discovered by: Anderson

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: A black Cognoscenti with a luster. Simple as that, although it is
quite a nice car.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is the car driven by the Ancelotti goons during the mission.
Obtaining it requires mission failure, since it is destroyed at the end of the
mission. Unfortunately, it is also UJ during the mission. Getting inside
requires damaging the car at the start (failing the mission), then using
another vehicle to push it to a parking spot (preferably Middle Park East).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.23 - Lustered Silver Banshee w/ black stripe (1st of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Meltdown (Ray Boccino)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Brendan Mills / Jesse Giramma / Anderson (luster)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a Banshee with a gray color and a black center stripe.
This comes in both hard top and convertible varieties (randomly chosen).
Lusters on this car tend to be very difficult to see, even more so than
lusters normally are.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Niko automatically jacks this vehicle after the cutscene at the
first destination. Simply drive it to a parking spot when you are supposed to
meet Ray at the bridge - no mission failure necessary. Just make sure to reach
that point with it intact. Confirm it after the mission ends!

<<Formulated by: Brendan Mills / Jesse Giramma>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: Drive directly to a parking spot once Niko acquires this car. The
mission will fail, but you will be able to keep it. This is the best strategy
to use if you also want the Laundromat and/or silver Lokus from this mission,
as obtaining multiple vehicles without failure is practically (if not
literally) impossible.

5.24 - Lustered Silver Lokus
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Meltdown (Ray Boccino)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Anderson

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: A silver Lokus with a luster. As it stands, this is the ONLY
lustered car available in both black and silver. The luster on this car is
especially hard to see, as it is extremely faint. I would recommend going
for red, as green, blue, and yellow are all but impossible to discern.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Luca's crew drives this in the chase. Wait for them to reach the
park, then get into it (it will be badly damaged) to mark it as "yours." Get
back out, finish the battle with Luca and his goons, then get back in after
retrieving the diamonds. Proceed to finish the mission, then park it wherever
you'd like. However, when you actually enter the mission marker to deliver the
diamonds, GET OUT of the Lokus to do so! Vehicles tend to vanish after the
final cutscene otherwise. Or you can drive it to a parking spot, finish the
mission with a different vehicle, and confirm it afterwards.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: Get inside and drive this directly to a parking spot after the
chase. The mission will fail, but you will be able to keep it. This is the
best strategy to use if you also want the Laundromat and/or silver Banshee
from this mission, as obtaining multiple vehicles without failure is

Description: A black contender with a flat back (both the smooth and rough
variants) and a luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: The target, Bucky, drives this truck. Follow him to his house, then
take out all the targets. After cleaning up, get in the truck and lose your
wanted level to pass the mission, then drive to a parking spot.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Smackdown (Derrick McReary)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This Stallion is black with a luster. Lusters seem particularly
easy to see on this car. This can either have a hardtop or be convertible.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This car is parked in the driveway of the target's house. After he
gets out, take out both people outside, then get in and drive to a parking
spot. It seems to vanish if you wait until all targets are dead, so take it
before then.

5.27 - Lustered Blue Primo
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Undertaker (Francis McReary)
Difficulty: ***
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Esperanto

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: A Primo that is lighter blue than the usual blue color. It also
has a luster. Only the red luster easily shows on this car, and the blue
luster is probably impossible to detect.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This car is parked across the street from the church once the
shootout starts. Obtaining it without failing the mission can be difficult.
Kill all of the attackers, then get in the Romero. Get back out, and wait. One
more car full of Albanians will show up. Kill them, then double-drive the
Romero and the Primo to a parking spot (Middle Park East is the best choice).
Be careful about attracting police attention when killing the enemies in that
final car!

5.29 - Lustered Pink Feltzer (sp)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mission: ...I'll Take Her (Gerald McReary)
Difficulty: ***
Mission failure? No
Required: A large vehicle for a barricade
Discovered by: Gustavo / Reclaimer VII
(Unique base color in addition to luster)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: A bright pink Feltzer. It is always a convertible, not covered.
In addition, it is also lustered, with a blue luster apparently the most
common. The base color of this vehicle is unique regardless of luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Once you've arrived at the alleyway and the marker appears in the
alley, you are free to exit the Feltzer without failing the mission. Get out
and go find a larger vehicle, then use it to block the exit of the alley (make
sure to cover the exit as best as possible). Now, head for the marker in the
Feltzer and complete the mission. Afterwards, a thug will drive off to the
west in the Feltzer, but will drive right into the barricade you placed! Go up
to the car, jack it, and take it to a parking spot. This doesn't absolutely
require a barricade, but it makes it much easier to kill the thug and retrieve
the car.

Mission: She's a Keeper (Gerald McReary)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? YES
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a dark green colored Vincent with dark rims. The luster
on this vehicle seems to rarely appear, making it all the more delicious when
it finally does. The base color and black rims are unique regardless of luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is the vehicle used to transport Gracie to the new safehouse.
To fail the mission, it must be 'destroyed.' This can be accomplished by
flipping it over, using a larger vehicle to push it. When the mission fails,
push it back onto its wheels and drive it to the parking spot. Alternatively,
shoot it until it catches fire, then quickly drive away (or run to a save
point) before it explodes. Finishing the mission normally causes it to vanish.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: She's a Keeper (Gerald McReary)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? YES
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: These PMP 600s have a spoiler like other Mafia PMP 600s, as well
as a luster. Note that the default black color of these cars (like most
lustered vehicles) is a different black from the normal gloss black color of
actual "Mafia" PMP 600s.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: At least two of these cars chase you in the mission (of the four
cars that give chase). Kill the drivers and gunners of all four cars and check
the colors. If one of these has the luster you want, fail the mission by
killing Gracie (easiest way is to blow up the Vincent). Then, drive this
vehicle to a parking spot.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If you proceed with the mission, all of these (and the Sentinels) will
be deleted when the Vincent enters the mission destination parking lot. This
will occur even if this vehicle is in a parking spot, so it cannot be obtained
without failing the mission.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This vehicle, once again containing Gracie, is driven to the site of

shootout occurs. Obtaining one requires mission failure, as your only chance
to take it to a parking spot will fail you for abandoning the target vehicle.
Unfortunately, they are UJ. To obtain one, get a pushing vehicle and park it
in the grassy area near the mission location marker (after starting the
mission). That grass patch is a safe place to keep it out of the firefight.
Once all the enemies are dead, get in the pushing vehicle and begin pushing
the Bobcat back. It doesn't matter if you trigger the chase with the heroin
truck, as you'll fail the mission either way. Push it to the Alderney parking
spot (or to another one if you're feeling masochistic) and repeat the mission
to finish it properly.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: The Bobcat that drives in shortly after the firefight begins is not UJ
and can be used as a decent pushing vehicle in an emergency. However, it is
not one of these black lustered Bobcats, but rather just a random color that
can be found on the street.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.36 - Lustered Silver Pony
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Vehicle is UJ)
Mission: Truck Hustle (Phil Bell)
Difficulty: ***
Mission failure? YES
Required: Pushing vehicle
Discovered by: Esperanto

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a silver Pony with a random luster, and a random livery.
The rails on the top (or lack thereof) is also random.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Two of these Pony vans are parked in the alley with the shootout.
Obtaining one requires mission failure, as your only chance to take it to a
parking spot will fail you for abandoning the target vehicle. Unfortunately,
they are UJ. To obtain one, get a pushing vehicle and park it in the grassy
area near the mission location marker (after starting the mission). That grass
patch is a safe place to keep it out of the firefight. Once all the enemies
are dead, get in the pushing vehicle and begin pushing the Pony back. It
doesn't matter if you trigger the chase with the heroin truck, as you'll fail
the mission either way. Push it to the Alderney parking spot (or to another
one if you're feeling masochistic) and repeat the mission to finish it
properly.

5.37 - Lustered Red Sanchez
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Truck Hustle (Phil Bell)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a red Sanchez with a silver back section, same as can
sometimes be found on streets. However, the silver back section may have a
luster on it, usually very visible.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: It's sitting at the abandoned house at the end of the mission. Just
take it to a parking spot from there. I gave it two star difficulty just
because lusters aren't guaranteed (and can even be quite rare), and it's found
at the very end of a particularly annoying and tedious mission.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.38 - Lustered "Russian" Schafter w/ silver grill (sp) (2nd of 3)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Pegorino's Pride (Jimmy Pegorino)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? YES
Discovered by: Swift, confirmed by GTA_Loco
(Unique features in addition to luster)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is the Russian tuner version of the Schafter (black, with
black rims), except that it has a silver grill as opposed to the normal black
grill. It also has a luster. The silver grill on the Russian Schafter makes
this car unique even without a visible luster, like the non-lustered versions
also found.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: You drive this car during the mission. Keeping it requires failing
the mission, as it vanishes with Pegorino at the end even if left in a parking
spot. Just fail the mission by shooting Pegorino and take it to a parking spot
at the first opportunity.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.39 - Lustered Silver Sultan
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Pegorino's Pride (Jimmy Pegorino)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a silver Sultan with a luster. The luster is very faint,
like in most silver cars.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: The enemy mafia goon drives this car during the chase near the end
of the mission. After slaying the enemies and retrieving the money, get back
in Pegorino's Schafter for a moment, then get out and get into the Sultan.
Pegorino will follow Niko into other vehicles, but only if you get in the
Schafter first. Drive to the mission finish point, and then to a parking spot
afterwards. Get Pegorino out of the car before finishing the mission and
approach the end marker on foot, otherwise it may disappear anyways!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.40 - Lustered "Mafia" PMP 600 (2nd of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Payback (Jimmy Pegorino)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Anderson

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: These PMP 600s have a spoiler like other Mafia PMP 600s, as well
as a luster. Note that the default black color of these cars (like most
lustered vehicles) is a different black from the normal gloss black color of
actual "Mafia" PMP 600s.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This car is provided for you at the start of the mission, waiting
in Pegorino's driveway. Just drive it to a parking spot, then finish the
mission. You could even finish the mission and then take it to a parking spot,
although the firefight and likely wanted level at the end of the mission may
complicate the procedure. Follow your heart.

Mission: Payback (Jimmy Pegorino)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a black Coquette with a luster to it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This car is driven by the goons you have to follow. Proceed with the
mission until you arrive at the dealership, then kill everyone and jack this
car afterwards. Be wary of destroying it in the firefight, and of a probable
wanted level afterwards.

Mission: ...Pest Control (Jimmy Pegorino)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Pepe

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: A cream white Oracle with a luster to it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is one of the two cars you follow in this mission. Shoot the
driver to stop the car, or collect it after the ambush at the gas station.
Either way, take it to a parking spot afterwards. It can be double-driven to
a parking spot (Middle Park East is best) with the hybrid grill PMP 600 also
in this mission.

Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Anderson

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: These have a spoiler like other Mafia PMP 600s, as well as a

luster color.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is one of the two cars you follow in this mission. Shoot the

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Hating the Haters (Bernie Crane)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Dmitry Lebedev, also found/confirmed by ShadowDemon99

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This looks like a normal gray Comet at first, but it actually has
a luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This car is parked right down the street from Bernie's place after
starting this mission. Just drive it to a parking spot and proceed with the
mission. Confirm it afterwards, though!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.45 - Lustered Black SuperGT
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Union Drive (Bernie Crane)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a black SuperGT with a luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This car is driven by the blackmailers during the chase. Since the
chase is scripted, just follow the car until it crashes and the targets leave,
then kill them. Get back in the car Bernie is in, then get right back out (so
he follows you) and get in the SuperGT. Finish the mission and drive it to a
parking spot.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: A green lustered version of this may not be unique, as green lustered
black SuperGTs do spawn on the streets. Although the actual green may be
different from the random version, it is still harder to authenticate.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.46 - Lustered Black Lokus
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Entourage (Gambetti)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: GTA_Loco and Anderson (Luster)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a black Lokus with a luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Finish the mission using one of the cars, then drive it to a parking
spot afterwards. Be careful, as these cars are very susceptible to being
destroyed during the gunfight! Additionally, the front car of the convoy will
always be destroyed in the cutscene before the battle, so make sure the
desired luster is on the middle or rear car before starting the convoy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.47 - Lustered Black and Silver Rancher
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: If the Price is Right (Roman Bellic - Deal)
Difficulty: ***
Mission failure? No
Required: Mission failure if the Revenge path is desired
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This Rancher is black with a silver stripe along the side. It is
always the pickup variety, but does not always have boxes in the back. It
also has a luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: When starting the chase near the end of the mission, pick this to
chase the truck, and drive it to a parking spot after the mission is over. To
obtain both this and 5.48 - Solid Red Sanchez at the same time, choose one to
chase the truck with (doesn't matter which), then proceed until the money is
retrieved. Drive the vehicle chosen to a parking spot, then return to the
warehouse in Port Tudor (do NOT complete the mission yet). The other of the
two vehicles should still be waiting there as long as the mission is still in
progress. Get into (or onto) it, and proceed to complete the mission. Take it
to a parking spot, and don't forget to confirm the first vehicle, too!

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: If you want to get this vehicle, but don't want to commit to the
Deal story path, fail the mission after reaching the Sanchez. Let the target
truck escape or kill Phil Bell to accomplish this goal. The 5.48 - Solid Red
Sanchez can be obtained at the same time by double-driving them to a parking
spot.

5.48 - Lustered Solid Red Sanchez
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: If the Price is Right (Roman Bellic - Deal)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? No
Required: Mission failure if the Revenge path is desired
Discovered by: Swift, confirmed by GTA_Loco

----------------------------------------
Description: This is a solid red Sanchez found at the end of the mission, used
for chasing the truck. This solid red color can't be found on others, as it
even covers the usually silver gas tank. It also has a luster, with yellow as
the most easily visible.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: When starting the chase near the end of the mission, pick this to
chase the truck, and drive it to a parking spot after the mission is over. To
obtain both this and 5.47 - Black and Silver Rancher at the same time, choose
one to chase the truck with (doesn't matter which), then proceed until the
money is retrieved. Drive the vehicle chosen to a parking spot, then return to
the warehouse in Port Tudor (do NOT complete the mission yet). The other of

5.49 - Lustered Black Huntley Sport
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Vehicle is UJ)
Mission: A Revenger's Tragedy or Out of Commission (Roman Bellic)
Difficulty: ***
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades (lots of people noticed it, but for wrong reasons)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This Huntley Sport is black with a luster to it. The trim around
the sides is randomly colored, too.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: The target drives this during the chase at the start of the
mission. After the chase ends, it is still UJ, unfortunately. Get in another
vehicle and push this to a parking spot. You will probably have to kill
everyone at the initial site to safely do this. After finishing the mission,
remember to confirm this, along with any other vehicles!

<<Formulated by: Common knowledge>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: If you're willing to fail the mission, instead of starting the
chase, shoot Jacob until you fail the mission while he's sitting in the car at
the start, then push the Huntley Sport to your Alderney parking spot from its
default location. This is a much shorter distance than from the compound at
the end.

<<Formulated by: robrabbitman>>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: You can make good use of the strategy in 3.2 (Cop Transport). You may
need to push this out near the street to get it to work, however.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.50 - Lustered "Russian" Schafter w/ silver grill (sp) (3rd of 3)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: A Revenger's Tragedy (Roman Bellic - Deal)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
(Unique features in addition to luster)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is the Russian tuner version of the Schafter (black, with
black rims), except that it has a silver grill as opposed to the normal black
grill. It also has a luster. The silver grill on the Russian Schafter makes
this car unique even without a visible luster, like the non-lustered versions
also found.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: A few of these are in the compound you assault after the chase at
the start. Drive one to a parking spot, then resume the mission. Just be
careful not to destroy it during the firefight! As always, make sure to
confirm it after finishing the mission!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Out of Commission (Roman Bellic - Revenge)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades and Swift

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: These PMP 600s have a spoiler like other Mafia PMP 600s, as well
as a luster. Note that the default black color of these cars (like most
lustered vehicles) is a different black from the normal gloss black color of
actual "Mafia" PMP 600s.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: A few of these are in the compound you assault after the chase at

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Out of Commission (Roman Bellic - Revenge)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a black tuner Sentinel - with a spoiler and other after
market modifications like the Mafia uses, except that it also has a luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: A few of these are in the compound you assault after the chase at
the start. Drive one to a parking spot, then resume the mission. Just be

5.54 - Lustered Black Sentinel w/ black rims (2nd of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Out of Commission (Roman Bellic - Revenge)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? YES
Discovered by: Esperanto

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This car is a black Sentinel with black rims and a luster. Normal
Sentinels have silver rims.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: While chasing Pegorino's boat and driving the Sanchez along the
beach later in the mission, you will eventually be prompted to jump to a
helicopter to continue the pursuit. When this happens, look to your right. You
should see a hill with a road leading south. Blocking the road entrance are
three of the black Sentinels, with mafia goons behind them. Stop chasing the
boat, kill the goons, then take one (or more) of the Sentinels to a parking
spot. You'll fail the mission for losing Pegorino, but will be able to return
to a parking spot without interference.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.55 - Lustered Silver Banshee w/ black stripe (2nd of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Hossan random encounter
Difficulty: **
Discovered by: fik

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a Banshee with a gray color and a black center stripe.
This comes in both hard top and convertible varieties (randomly chosen).
Lusters on this car tend to be very difficult to see, even more so than
lusters normally are.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is the car driven by the mission target. Shoot him dead in the
car, or force him from it by bashing it until he flees, then pick up the
money, claim the car, and finish the mission. Take it to a parking spot
afterwards.

*6* SPECIALLY COLORED/FEATURED VEHICLES
==============================================================================
These vehicles all have some special color or feature that the vehicle does
not normally have. A detailed description of what makes them special will be
contained within each entry.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.1 - Black Esperanto
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Free Roam (until Roman's Sorrow)
Difficulty: *
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: An Esperanto with a flat black paintjob not otherwise available.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Found inside Roman's cab depot, either with or without a driver.
Just jack it and drive it to a parking spot. However, your last chance to get
this vehicle is before picking up Roman in the mission Roman's Sorrow, as the
depot is burned down afterwards.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.2 - Beige Willard (1st of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: It's Your Call (Roman Bellic)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? YES
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is just a shitty beige Willard.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is the car the Albanian loan sharks drive, and it is UJ to
begin. Smash the window or otherwise attack the loan sharks to fail the
mission. Once the mission is over, drive it back to a parking spot, as it
loses UJ after the mission has been failed.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.3 - Beige Willard (2nd of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Bleed Out (Roman Bellic)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is just a shitty beige Willard.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Again, the Albanians use this car. Dardan drives off in this, but
once he's killed at the end of the mission, you can claim the vehicle for
yourself. You'll have to double-drive it and Roman's Taxi to your safehouse if
you want to pass the mission, however. It is UJ before the chase, so you can't
jack it before then.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: If you don't care about mission failure, fail the mission at the
start by killing Roman and drive it back easily.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.4 - Light Blue Marbelle
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Uncle Vlad (Roman Bellic)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades (and others have mentioned it)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a light blue Marbelle. The blue is slightly different
than the similar color found in traffic, which is a tint darker.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is Vlad's car, driven during the chase. At the end, he crashes
into a truck. To keep it, get inside and drive a short distance away from
where Vlad stands at the end, then finish the mission. With luck, it should
still be sitting there. If not, try it again, and position it differently. The
exact positioning can be quite picky.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.5 - "Russian" Schafter w/ silver grill (1st of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: The Master and the Molotov (Mikhail Faustin)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades w/ help from Coyote

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is the Russian tuner version of the Schafter (black, with
black rims), except that it has a silver grill as opposed to the normal black
grill.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is Mikhail's car. Drive it to a parking spot after arriving at
the club, then return and finish the mission. Confirm it afterwards.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.6 - Hybrid Primo
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Street Sweeper (Manny Escuela)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Gustavo

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This looks like a normal tuner Primo: metallic red, with gold
rims and grill, and a spoiler. But two aspects differ. The grill is the
horizontal grill of a normal Primo, as opposed to the diamond hatch grill the
tuner version has, and the front bumper is solid, without the usual holes
along the bottom.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This car is parked at the garage the targets are at. Kill the driver
of this car (who will drive away once the shootout begins) and take it to a
parking spot after the mission is over.

<<Formulated by: Gustavo>>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.7 - Oracle w/out medallion
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Vehicle is UJ)
Mission: Luck of the Irish (Elizabeta Torres)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? YES
Required: Pushing vehicle
Discovered by: Gustavo

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a normal, randomly-colored Oracle. The only thing special
about it is the lack of a medallion on the hood. Normally, only the tuner
version of the Oracle (often found in Steinway) lacks the medallion. The car
is otherwise a normal Oracle.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Packie drives this car to and from the meeting. Obtaining it is
simple: pick up the sniper rifle on the roof as directed, then snipe Packie to
fail the mission. Make sure you kill him, not just injure him, otherwise he'll
flee in the car afterwards. Descend the building (use the fire escape stairs
outside and be careful, as using the stairs inside the building will cause the
car to disappear. It is UJ, so get another vehicle and push it a block south
to the Bohan parking spot.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.8 - Yellow Patriot (1st of 3)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Blow Your Cover (Elizabeta Torres)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

----------------------------------------
Description: A Patriot with a bright yellow color. It does not have an
American flag design on the side, and has no other features (such as roof
lights). It also has a green luster that is always present.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This vehicle is parked nearby outside as soon as the mission begins.
Drive it to a parking spot and proceed with the mission as you please. Make
sure to confirm it afterwards!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.9 - Bright Yellow Comet
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: No. 1 (Brucie Kibbutz)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: The yellow of this Comet is much richer and brighter than a
Comet's normal yellow color. It even seems to have the slightest touch of
orange as a luster.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Brucie has you use this car during the race. As you keep it after
finishing the mission, just drive it to a parking spot afterwards. Or don't.
It's a free country. I'm not forcing you to keep it, and neither is Brucie.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.10 - Beige and Fuchsia Voodoo
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Have a Heart (Elizabeta Torres)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Jesse Giramma and confirmed by GTA_Loco

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: This is a normal Voodoo with a beige-colored body and a fuchsia
strip along the side. The fuchsia color is special for this car; no other
Voodoos have it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Knock the car around enough that the trunk opens, then drive on
uneven roads, over mounds, or off a ramp. The bodies will fly out and you
will pass the mission (although without getting the reward money).

6.13 - Bright Red Hellfury

Mission: Ruff Rider
Difficulty: **

Discovered by: Several people, but finally confirmed

----------------------------------------
Description: An on-again-off-again entry, this Hellfury is red. While others
are also red, the "normal" red is a metallic red, while this is a plain,
glossy red, with no metallic aspect. It is VERY similar to the normal red,
making it very difficult to spot the difference, even in direct comparison.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Jayvon rides this bike during the chase. Ram him off of it using a
car or truck, or shoot him off while on the bike provided at the start of the
chase. Pick up the money, then get on the bike and drive to meet Dwayne at the
Cluckin' Bell, finishing the mission. Take it to a parking spot.

Mission: Dust Off (U.L. Paper)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? YES
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

----------------------------------------
Description: A white Maverick with red bottom stripes. A simple design, but
unique nonetheless.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: The only way you're keeping this from this mission is by failing,
as finishing means it will be flown away by U.L. Paper's goons. Steal the
helicopter and land it in a parking spot, then get in a car and drive far
enough away to fail the mission. This strategy is unnecessary, however, as the
next mission provides this helicopter for free.

Mission: Paper Trail (U.L. Paper)
Difficulty: *****
Mission failure? YES
Required: Kiki's perk; alternatively: !!!CHEATS!!!
Discovered by: Gustavo

----------------------------------------
Description: A white Maverick with black bottom stripes. A simple design,
but unique nonetheless.

----------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: There is a checkpoint on the road just east of the
chopper.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: There are two main ways to get the Annihilator necessary to hunt
down this helicopter: use the cheat, or kill all 200 pigeons. For the cheat
method, start the mission, drive to the helipad, then call 359-555-0100 to
activate the Annihilator cheat. Get in immediately and begin pursuing the
target, letting the mission fail for abandoning Jacob.

Alternatively, kill all 200 pigeons and get a helicopter from Helitours in
southeastern Algonquin. Fly up to the MeTV building and retrieve the
Annihilator waiting there BEFORE accepting the phone call to start the
mission; if the mission has been started, that Annihilator will not appear.
This method is most easily done if Alderney has been unlocked (by completing
Three Leaf Clover), but is still possible earlier by simply flying or driving
into Alderney and killing the pigeons there while avoiding the police. For
those dedicated to doing this, I suggest a sniper rifle, rockets, and a
helicopter. Land on roofs and snipe pigeons (using rockets when line of sight
is difficult or impossible). This minimizes exposure to police, helping with
success.

A third method for obtaining an Annihilator is to simply get one from the
police. Check vehicle 8.8 - Annihilator for details on how this works. The
Annihilator will be stored at a parking spot, however, and this can make it
difficult to take off without damage, so be careful.

Once in the Annihilator and with the mission failed, try to gently tap the
target's helicopter to force him down. Don't use too much force, otherwise he
will crash and explode. The goal is to eventually knock his helicopter from
the air, so it lands, intact. Once this occurs, land, get in, and fly it to a
parking spot. Be careful, as the blades may have sustained some damage and
will probably be brittle.

<<Formulated by: Gustavo (method) and Yerdna555 (Annihilator acquisition>>

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2 (PS3 version): Darksunnyday discovered a way to get this on PS3. To
begin with, both the driver and passenger must be removed from the chopper.
Start by obtaining an Annihilator as described at the beginning of strategy 1.
To force out the passenger, fly close to the Maverick with your Annihilator,
and hit it slightly. This should eventually force him out, but don't damage
the chopper too much.

Next, shoot at the Maverick until the driver bails out, which happens when the
chopper has taken enough damage and catches fire. As the chopper falls, keep
the camera on it! Taking your eyes off of it for even a moment can cause it to
vanish. Don't blow up the chopper with Annihilator gunfire, though, or you'll
get a 4-star wanted level!

Once it hits the ground and explodes, you'll have to deal with the 2-star
wanted level obtained when you shot at it. Call Kiki and remove it (this is
why you wanted to avoid the 4-star wanted level). Alternatively, use the
Remove Wanted Level cheat. Call a Fire Truck and begin pushing the carcass
of the helicopter to a parking spot. It is somewhat easy to have the Maverick
end up near the Middle Park East safehouse, so go for that one. Be quick and
efficient, as waiting too long will build up traffic in the area, and if too
many cars spawn, it can force the game to delete the carcass, even right in
front of you. And as always, keep the carcass in the camera at ALL times.

Once you're ready to push it into a parking spot, get the carcass lined up so
it can be pushed in one swift motion. Pushing it in slowly will often lead to
it simply vanishing. Once it's in, even if not perfectly centered, quickly
rush inside and save. Load the game, and with a large amount of luck, it will
be there, fully repaired. Enjoy, and don't forget to reposition it to avoid
nasty lift-offs.

<<Formulated by: Darksunnyday>>

----------------------------------------
NOTE: I have NOT confirmed either above method personally. The theory behind
both methods is sound, and will most likely work. It is a similar strategy as
the all-black Maverick in Babysitting.

6.17 - Hybrid PCJ600
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: I Need Your Clothes, Your Boots, and Your Motorcycle (Gerald McReary)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Unknown

----------------------------------------
Description: This PCJ600 hybridizes two sets of features for a PCJ600. There
is no "tuner" variant, but the console and the frame (if any) appear to be
hybridized sometimes, randomly. The console is most noticeable if there are
multiple sets of gauges, while the frame is only noticeable if it combines the
gold and steel-colored pipe frame. It can take multiple attempts to see the
potential hybridization of this vehicle.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Niko is required to drive this motorcycle during the mission. Once
the target is dead, the mission ends and it can be driven to a parking spot at
your leisure.

6.18 - Random Tuner Oracle
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Taking in the Trash (Ray Boccino)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Esperanto

----------------------------------------
Description: A tuner Oracle in a random color from the Oracle's palette. What
makes it unique is that tuner Oracles (commonly found in Steinway) are
exclusively a dark green color.

----------------------------------------
Mission replay checkpoint: The checkpoint at the start of the mission will
re-roll the color of the car.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This car is driven by assailants after the diamond trash bags have
been collected at both locations. You'll need to shoot the two occupants and
get their bodies out of the car to store it, but the easiest thing to do is to
kill the passenger, then drive to a safehouse in the Trashmaster. Once there,
kill the driver, park the Oracle in the parking spot, and finish the mission.
This saves the trouble of double-driving the two vehicles to the parking spot
yourself. Remember to confirm it afterwards!

Description: This is a normal looking Mafia PMP 600 (gloss black coloring, and
a small spoiler on the rear), except that it has a hybrid grill.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: These cars are parked outside of the Museum in various places.
When you exit the building, shoot the guards near them and jack one, using it
to escape the area and pass the mission, then park it at a safehouse. There
are a total of four scattered around the museum grounds.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: These cars are parked outside of the Museum in various places,
most of which are to the sides and behind the museum. They're harder to get to

6.21 - Solid Black Maverick
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Babysitting (Derrick McReary)
Difficulty: *****
Mission failure? YES
Required: !!!CHEATS!!! and a pushing vehicle
Discovered by: Pepe

----------------------------------------
Description: This Maverick is solid black, instead of having the usual
white lines on the base. The word MAVERICK is still present, in case you
forgot what the helicopter's name was while flying.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: The mission orders you to shoot this helicopter down to protect
the boat. Instead of following orders, jump ship and swim south to a platform
with stairs up to the street on Charge Island. Input the Annihilator spawn
cheat (359-555-0100) and get in. Now for the hard part. Using the Annihilator,
flip Derrick's boat over (so it capsizes) to fail the mission. You MUST flip
it over; failing in any other way, such as destroying Kim's boat or killing
Derrick will spawn you back in Alderney.

Once the mission is over, the enemy Maverick begins flying southwest towards
Grand Easton Terminal in Algonquin. Once there, or anytime it is over enough
land (preferably streets) to be safe, use your heli to knock it out of the
air. Assuming it doesn't explode on impact, it will be crippled (no blades
and/or tail). Now the long, hard desert. Find a decent vehicle to push with
(consider dialing 911 for an Ambulance or Fire Truck) and begin pushing it
towards your Algonquin parking spot (Roman's penthouse).

6.22 - Green and Blue Rancher
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Babysitting (Derrick McReary)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades
!!!UNAVAILABLE ON PS3 VERSION!!!

----------------------------------------
Description: This Rancher is a pickup variety. The top section is green, with
the middle being blue, and the bottom panels black. Additionally, Pat's
research has turned up the fact this Rancher has both extra lights and a grill
guard. Other ranchers will either have one or the other, but not both at once.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Keep in mind this cannot be obtained on PS3! This truck can be seen
in the ending cutscene of the mission. After the mission ends, head back down
the nearby stairs and you'll find this truck waiting for you on the docks. Be
careful getting it to a parking spot; in my experience, the truck has a much
lower tolerance for damage than most other vehicles. It is possible it starts
partially damaged somehow.

If you have trouble getting it to stick around after the mission, make sure
Autosave is turned OFF, and don't skop the cutscene too quickly. Wait until a
few seconds into the cutscene before skipping it.

----------------------------------------
NOTE: This vehicle is unobtainable on the PS3 version because it always
disappears after the cutscene. (confirmed by multiple people)

----------------------------------------
Description: This is just a dark green Willard, in a shade not normally

cutscene will place Niko in this vehicle automatically. Drive it to a parking
spot at your leisure.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.24 - Bright Red Biff
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Tunnel of Death (Derrick McReary)
Difficulty: ***
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

----------------------------------------
Description: A solid red Biff truck. All possible variants of the Biff can be
obtained in this color. Packie drives this at the start of the mission.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Once inside the Police Stockade, do a U-Turn near your own truck
and exit the tunnel in the other direction. If lucky, you can lose your level
by the end of the tunnel. Then turn around again and return to the site of the
shootout. The Biff may still be there. If it is, double-drive with the
Stockade until you reach your Alderney parking spot. Park the Biff, and finish
the mission, remembering to confirm it afterwards.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: When you blockade the police convoy, kill all of the police. Then,
when instructed to drive the police van, get in the red Biff instead and just
drive away from the scene. This will fail the mission for leaving Packie
behind, and despite failing, your wanted level will be cleared. Do not fail
the mission in any other way! If you do, your wanted level will remain, making
your job much harder. You will also keep your wanted level if you don't kill
all the police in the tunnel during the fight. Just drive to a parking spot
and leave the truck.

<<Formulated by: GTA_Loco>>

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 3: To obtain both this and 4.6 - Police Stockade (2nd of 2), proceed
with the mission until Packie tells you to get into the Stockade. At this
point, run a moderate distance away from the vehicles to the east (the
direction is important). Then approach Packie and do a melee attack to push
him down. Quickly run to the Biff and get inside (the wanted level won't be
aggravated until you get inside the Stockade), then use it to start pushing
the Stockade out of the tunnel to the west (towards Alderney). Packie will
stay where he was left, as he should've been lured far enough away that the
game gives the "Don't abandon Packie" message, marking him as your objective.
He'll stay put until you get close to him (which you don't want to). Once the
mission fails for abandoning him, you can double-drive the Biff and Stockade
to your garage, although sometimes you may have a 1-star wanted level (which
you can call Kiki to remove).

<<Formulated by: ClaudeCJVercetti>>

----------------------------------------
NOTE: This is NOT the Biff the player drives into the tunnel to block the
convoy. The bright red Biff is at the back of the convoy, where Packie begins
the shootout.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.25 - "Russian" Schafter w/ silver grill (2nd of 2)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Undertaker (Francis McReary)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

----------------------------------------
Description: This is the Russian tuner version of the Schafter (black, with
black rims), except that it has a silver grill as opposed to the normal black
grill.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: The first group of Albanians show up in this car (it's present
at the start of the shootout). After dispatching all waves of Albanians
(including the unmarked car that attacks once you get in the Hearse),
alternate driving this car and the Hearse to a parking spot. Park this car,
then drive the Hearse to the cemetery. Remember to confirm it afterwards!

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: Jut drive this Schafter to a parking spot right away. You'll fail
the mission for abandoning Packie (or killing him, if you choose to do that
instead). You're then free to park this wherever your heart desires.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6.26 - Orange-Gold Infernus w/ black side stripe
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: AFTER Buoys Ahoy (Bernie Crane)
Difficulty: *
Mission failure? No
Discovered by: Swift (both colors), Jesse Giramma (mission), lol232 (info)

----------------------------------------
Description: This Infernus comes with a bright orange-gold color and a black
stripe along the side, both being unique for this vehicle. The car also seems
to have a green luster to it, very visible underneath the black stripes on
each door.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This car is given to you by Bernie after finishing his mission
strand. Just drive it to a parking spot. It couldn't be easier.

----------------------------------------
NOTE: There are a few minor caveats to this car:

1: This is given to you AFTER the mission. Bernie will call you and let you
know where to pick it up. It will be there until you actually go and collect
it, so it may be safe to just store it where it appears instead of picking it
up and parking it somewhere.

2: You cannot obtain multiple copies of this car by pushing it to a parking
spot! If you push it too far from the "mission" marker on the map, it will
just vanish right in front of your eyes, and even if pushed as far as
possible, it will still trigger the "mission over" dialogue for Niko and
remove the map marker.

3: I've received reports that this comes in two distinct colors: a yellow-gold
that definitely isn't orange, and a orange-gold that is much darker and
definitely not yellow. I've only ever found the yellow-gold version in recent
explorations.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Roman's wedding car, sitting outside the church. Drive up to the
wedding carefully so as to not trigger the cutscene, then use your car to push
this away from the church. Once it is safely away (near the intersection south

prefer. Just make getting it to a parking spot your first priority, and
confirm it after the mission ends!

6.31 - Annihilator w/out right door and tail rotor
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: A Revenger's Tragedy (Roman Bellic - Deal)
or Out of Commission (Roman Bellic - Revenge)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? YES
Discovered by: Gustavo

----------------------------------------
Description: This Annihilator helicopter lacks a tail rotor and has a closed
door on its right side, as opposed to the usually open doors. However, once
saved in a parking spot, the right door vanishes altogether, making this
unique in two ways.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: Regardless of whether you chose Deal or Revenge, the final mission
will draw to a close as you crash land on Liberty Island in an Annihilator. To
obtain the special Annihilator, you must first fail the mission, easiest to do
by shooting Little Jacob (who will be nearby) a few times until he dies. The
Annihilator is UJ until that is completed. Once the mission is over, get
inside and call someone on the phone. This will force the helicopter to start
up and allow it to fly, although it is still be critically damaged. Carefully
fly to a parking spot (Middle Park East is the best bet) and land it in the
spot. If the rotors break before it is in, get in a nearby vehicle and finish
pushing it into the space.

<<Formulated by: Gustavo>>

----------------------------------------
NOTE: Despite not having a back rotor visible, this still technically has one,
in the sense that if it is destroyed, the helicopter will begin to spin out of
control as usual.

6.31 - White Maverick w/ gold stripes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: A Revenger's Tragedy (Roman Bellic - Deal)
Difficulty: **
Mission failure? YES
Discovered by: Pepe

----------------------------------------
Description: This Maverick is white with gold stripes adorning it. One of the
better looking helicopters.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: This is the helicopter Dimitri uses during the chase near the
end of the mission. After everyone crash lands on Happiness Island, run over
to it, kill the Russian nearby, and get in. After failing for losing Dimitri,
call someone on your cell phone to jump-start the engine, and fly to a parking
spot. This starts out critically damaged (but still barely functional), so be
extra careful not to clip ANYTHING when flying to a parking spot (preferably
Bohan). Just plop it down ASAP, and leave the area, then return and adjust its
placement now that it is repaired.

<<Formulated by: Lancet Jades>>

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: Get inside and enter the health cheat. This fully repairs it,
reducing the risk of losing it when taking it to a parking spot.

black, and appears blacker in broad daylight, whereas the "normal" black
Huntley Sport appears somewhat brown normally (compared to this one, at
least). It may even be darker than black...

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: After you attack the Stretch limo that contains your target, two
of these Huntleys show up with extra goons. Finish off the target, take out
the goons, then drive one to a parking spot after the mission.

Description: This Intruder is a hybrid of the tuner Intruder and a normal one.
The only tuner upgrade it carries is an extended front bumper, lacking the
small spoiler. It also comes in a random color, although usually grayscale.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This car is parked nearby once the shooting starts. You must SKIP
the cutscene after reaching the package drop point. If the cutscene plays and
resolves itself, the Intruder will instead be a normal one, rather than the
hybrid tuner variety.

After killing all of the ambushers and passing the mission, take it to a
parking spot. Be careful though, as two of the enemies use this car for cover,
and it could be damaged in the battle.

6.37 - Hybrid Futo
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Little Jacob's delivery - Meadow Hills
Difficulty: *
Discovered by: robrabbitman (special features), Lancet Jades (worked out
 exactly what is special)

----------------------------------------
Description: This Futo is a hybrid of the Albanian's gang car Futo and the
normal Futo. It has the black carbon fiber hood, body kit, hood scoop, and red
driver's seat of the tuner Futo, but lacks a spoiler. Also unlike the tuner
Futo, it seems to have a variety of available colors: usually silver, but I've
also seen light blue, red, orange, and dark gray. This is a truly unique
vehicle.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This car is parked nearby once the shooting starts. You must SKIP
the cutscene after reaching the package drop point. If the cutscene plays and
resolves itself, the Futo will instead be a normal one, rather than the
hybrid tuner variety.

6.38 - "Rasta" Huntley Sport w/ rear-mounted exhaust
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Little Jacob's delivery (final delivery)
Difficulty: *
Discovered by: Esperanto (awesome job!)

----------------------------------------
Description: This is a usual "Rasta" gang Huntley: black top half, green
bottom half, and a gold stripe separating the two. It differs in one small,
but distinct way, namely that the exhaust manifolds are on the back of the
vehicle (two horizontal openings, difficult to see). Randomly-spawning Rasta
Huntleys have side-mounted exhaust pipes.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: This is provided for the tenth and final drug delivery. Drive it to
a parking spot after finishing the delivery to keep it.

*7* UNOBTAINABLE SPECIAL VEHICLES
==============================================================================
These vehicles cannot be obtained and kept for whatever reason is listed. This
can include any vehicle type from the previous three sections, but as they
cannot be acquired permanently, they do not belong in those sections.

Keep in mind that the key attribute with unobtainable vehicles is retaining
them; some of these can be temporarily obtained and used, but they cannot be
permanently stored for some reason.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.1 - Black Schafter w/ silver grill
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: The Cousins Bellic (Roman Bellic)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

----------------------------------------
Description: This is a normal black Schafter with black rims, except that it
has a silver grill as opposed to the normal black grill.

----------------------------------------
Unobtainable: It exists only in the opening cutscene of the game, being
inspected on the ship, and finally being loaded off as Niko disembarks. One
pan of the camera late in the cutscene shows that the grill is silver, the
same one as used by Russians throughout the story.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.2 - Light Blue Marbelle
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Clean Getaway (Vlad Glebov)
Discovered by: Coen91

----------------------------------------
Description: This is a light blue Marbelle. The blue is slightly different
than the similar color found in traffic, which is a tint darker.

----------------------------------------
Unobtainable: It exists only in the cutscene.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.3 - Lustered Black Speedo w/ flat-screens
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Crime and Punishment (Mikhail Faustin)
Discovered by: Swift

----------------------------------------
Description: This is a lustered black Speedo with flat-screen TVs in the back.
This is the van you must obtain for Faustin.

----------------------------------------
Unobtainable: If you fail the mission and park it in a parking spot, the TVs
disappear, and it reverts to a normal Speedo.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.4 - Flatbed w/ bomb and indicator light
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Rigged to Blow (Mikhail Faustin)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

----------------------------------------
Description: This Flatbed is a maroon color and very dirty (neither is unique
though). It also has a bomb in it, making it very easy to destroy, and has an
indicator light on the back that flashes green and red. Faster flashes mean it
is closer to detonating.

----------------------------------------
Unobtainable: It is destroyed at the end of the mission, and even if you
destroy it beforehand on a parking spot (which actually works for this
particular vehicle), then save and reload, the truck will still be there but
without the bomb indicator.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.5 - BP/FP Roman's Taxi
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Roman's Sorrow (Roman Bellic)
Discovered by: GTA_Loco and Jesse Giramma

----------------------------------------
Description: This is a normal Roman's Taxi, except that it is BP and FP. A
very rare instance of a naturally occurring (partially) proofed vehicle in
GTA4.

----------------------------------------
Unobtainable: It loses its properties when the missions ends, pass or fail.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.6 - Black Banshee w/ gold stripe
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Search and Delete

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Babysitting (Derrick McReary)
Discovered by: haloftw1

----------------------------------------
Description: A dark green Squalo, which is a unique color for this boat.

----------------------------------------
Unobtainable: Boats cannot be stored in parking spots, and even if they could,
it would be almost impossible to ever use.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.8 - CP Lustered Silver Oracle
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission: Truck Hustle
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

----------------------------------------
Description: A silver Oracle driven by Ray at the start of the mission. It is
lustered, and is also CP. I've only seen the car with a blue luster, though.
Not that it matters, seeing as this is unobtainable.

----------------------------------------
Unobtainable: Ray drives it off at the start and accelerates faster than most
cars are able to (including other Oracles, oddly enough). Even if you chase
him with a fast accelerating car, he will simply vanish after rounding the
corner south of Phil's office.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

this boat.

----------------------------------------
Unobtainable: Boats cannot be stored in parking spots, and even if they could,
it would be almost impossible to ever use. Or at least I think they can't be
stored. Try it if you feel like pissing away a few hours on a pipe dream.

==============================================================================
*8* RARE VEHICLES
==============================================================================
These vehicles aren't anything inherently special and limited to missions, but
nonetheless have some unique quality worth noting. These often require some
action to "unlock" them to be available, such as completion of a mission or
side mission to unlock. The defining trait of this class of special vehicle is
that they can all be obtained at the end of the game without any problem, but
NOT the beginning.

Always remember to confirm vehicles stored during a mission, whether you
finished the mission successfully, or failed and need to retry it!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.1 - Police Maverick
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: Available from start of game, but difficult to obtain.
Found: Shows up as chopper support at 3 and 4 stars (Annihilators replace it
at 5 and 6 stars).

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: First you need to have achieved a high percentage with Kiki to
unlock her ability to remove your wanted levels. Next, steal an Annihilator
attack chopper from somewhere in the city (see 7.5 - Annihilator for info on
where and how it can be obtained). Now create mayhem until you have 3 stars.
Don't reach 4 stars or Kiki can't remove the anted level.

Once the police helicopters appear, use your own and smash it up. Ram it into
buildings and other things to try and clip its blades. Be careful when it
crashes, as the SWAT members inside may survive the fall to continue fighting.
Once you've successfully grounded the police chopper, call Kiki and remove
your wanted level. Proceed to push the downed helicopter into a parking spot,
and then save. You'll now own the heli!

<<Formulated by: GTA_Loco>>

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: Fly to the rooftop of the Libertonian Museum. Once on the top,
shoot at the police and get a wanted level. When the chopper comes, position
yourself near the edge of the roof so the chopper hovers low over rooftop.
When it is low enough, snipe the pilot! If done correctly, the heli will
crash, spin a little, then remain there. Kill the NOOSE agents that emerge and
take the chopper! This is much easier than forcing it to crash, and does much
less damage with a higher rate of success.

<<Formulated by: Pepe>>

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 3: Sniping the pilot of the helicopter causes it to fall to the
ground. This will often result in the chopper being available to jack without
much trouble, as the blades and tail will usually survive the drop. This
strategy works almost anywhere, so long as the heli isn't too high up in the
air.

<<Formulated by: spnosrs>>

----------------------------------------
Description: A police version of the normal Maverick. It has a white and blue
paintjob, similar to other police vehicles, and sadly, no radio.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.2 - Red and Black Virgo
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: When Little Jacob's perk becomes available.
Found: Call Little Jacob and ask for him to deliver some guns.

----------------------------------------
Description: A red Virgo with a black bottom. Normally, they will have either
a black stripe or a brown bottom.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY: When called for guns, Little Jacob shows up in this car. The car is
UJ, so shoot Little Jacob (it won't hurt his Like or Respect stats), push it
to a parking spot using another car, and save the game.

----------------------------------------
Missions this vehicle may also be found in:
-Concrete Jungle
-Russian Revolution
-Mr. and Mrs. Bellic
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.3 - Black and Gold Huntley Sport
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: When Brucie becomes available as a friend AND Algonquin is unlocked.
Found: Call Brucie and go on the boating activity. You use this en route to
the boat. It will be waiting by the dock at the end of the activity.

----------------------------------------
Description: A Huntley Sport with a black top and gold bottom.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.4 - Infernus
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked (1): When Brucie's street races become available.
Found (1): Start a street race, and if the opponents draw from the supercars
pool, an Infernus may appear. Either jack it or find one randomly on the
streets nearby.

----------------------------------------
Unlocked (2): Stevie's car theft side mission.
Found (2): When he requests an Infernus. Drive it to a parking spot, park it,
then return to the Infernus spawn point and claim another. This is only
available while the Infernus text is in your phone, or if the Infernus was
the final (30th) vehicle to deliver for him.

----------------------------------------
Description: A top-level supercar that fans of GTA will know by name. This is
rare because it does not spawn on the streets randomly. It only appears in
Stevie's car theft mission, in random street races, and as a reward from
Bernie. No known spawn point exists.

----------------------------------------
NOTE: If the Infernus is the final car in Stevie's car theft side mission (the
30th car), it will permanently be available, even after finishing the mission.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.5 - Deep Red PMP 600
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: When you acquire Dwayne's "Backup" ability.
Found: Call Dwayne for backup. They will show up either in this vehicle or a
similar Patriot or Presidente. The vehicle chosen is random.

----------------------------------------
Description: This is a deep red PMP 600. It is darker than the red PMP 600
found in traffic, but not as dark as the crimson PMP 600 from Brucie's exotic
exports.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.6 - Deep Red Patriot
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: When you acquire Dwayne's "Backup" ability.
Found: Call Dwayne for backup. They will show up either in this vehicle or a
similar PMP 600 or Presidente. The vehicle chosen is random.

----------------------------------------
Description: A deep red Patriot. This color is unlike any you'll find in
traffic. It has no American flag emblem on the side, and no special roof
adornments.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.7 - Deep Red Presidente
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked: When you acquire Dwayne's "Backup" ability.
Found: Call Dwayne for backup. They will show up either in this vehicle or a
similar Patriot or PMP 600. The vehicle chosen is random.

----------------------------------------
Description: A deep red-colored Presidente, unlike ones found in traffic. It
also has black rims instead of silver (although black isn't uncommon for
Presidentes).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.8 - Annihilator
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlocked (1): Available from start of game, but difficult to obtain.
Found (1): Shows up as chopper support at 5 and 6 stars. The strategies below
all detail how to obtain it in this way.

----------------------------------------
Unlocked (2): Shoot all 200 "flying rats."
Found (2): On the helipad at the very top of the MeTV building in Star
Junction (the really tall building with a helipad at the top - a pigeon was
on this building). This usually requires another helicopter to access, as
climbing from ground level on foot tends to prevent it from appearing.

----------------------------------------
Unlocked (3): Achieve "Story Complete" (finish the game).
Found (3): Spawns on helipads at the north end of the airport (helipads are
ground level). Also spawns on some police station helipads throughout
Algonquin.

----------------------------------------
Unlocked (4): Use the Annihilator spawn cheat (call 359-555-0100).
Found (4): Right next to you after using the cheat. This counts as a cheat and
increments your "Times cheated" stat by 1, along with adding the cheat to the
cheat menu in your phone.

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 1: Courtesy of EKGene, a way to obtain an Annihilator at any time!
This requires a lot of luck, and can be irritating, though it is not terribly
difficult if luck is on your side, and impossible if it is not. If you have
not unlocked Alderney yet, see Strategy 3.2 for the pre-Alderney alternative.

First of all, head to a helipad with a Maverick (atop the Booth Tunnel is
recommended). Once there, start building up a wanted level. Five stars is the
goal, and try to do it in relative safety, away from the north side of
Alderney (north of the highway). Once you have five stars, fly the helicopter
to the parking garage in the north of Alderney (it is slightly northwest of
the police station. After reaching the garage, land on the roof and prepare
for the moment. First, take out any Police Mavericks bothering you by either
sniping the pilot, rocket launcher, or killing the gunmen on each side. Now
is the moment of truth.

Run around the garage's roof, trying to lure one of the two Annihilators that
will pursue close to the ground. This may require making a circuit around both
levels of the roof to get the Annihilators into the proper formation. Keep in
mind you are also on a timer, since cops on the ground will be ascending the
garage to get to you. Although they can be fought off, letting them gather
will deplete your armor and health quickly.

Once an Annihilator is close enough, and the pilot is in view, take out a
sniper rifle and snipe him. The heli will spin down to the ground. If it was
too high, it will explode in impact. If that happens, try again with future
Annihilators.

If it doesn't explode, it will continue to spin on the ground. Normally this
makes obtaining it impossible, as you cannot get close enough to the door
before it swipes you with the tail, but this time it is different. Eventually,
the tail will catch on the wall of the roof. If you're lucky (and it does
happen fairly often), this will bring it to a stop without breaking the tail
or rotors. Be prepared! The two SWAT guys in the back will get out and begin
shooting. Kill them, and get in. Congratulations on obtaining the Annihilator!

To keep it, fly to your safehouse and land on the nearby street. Rush inside
the building and save to remove your wanted level. Be careful when leaving the
Annihilator: it may fly up for a few seconds! If this happens, you will fall
and take a little damage, and it will come back down and probably lose the
blades or tail. No problem, because you should call a Fire Truck and push it
into the parking spot after saving. Just remember to re-save afterwards, or
else it'll vanish. Once it is repaired, it should last long enough to take off
without snapping the blades again. If it's positioned such that it is
impossible, just call another Fire Truck and reposition it until it works. As
long as a save file has it in the spot, you can get it flying eventually.

<<Formulated by: EKGene>>

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 2: So long as you have not unlocked Alderney (which requires
completing Three Leaf Clover for Packie), this is the method you'll use, and
is probably rather easy. This video shall explain all:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHHumUqbfWg

To summarize, get a good small car (Sentinel, Feltzer, or something similar)
and drive to the parking garage described in Strategy 1. This can be tricky if
you have not unlocked Algonquin, since it requires driving across 2/3 of the
city with 6 stars, but the key point is to keep moving. It is recommended to
drive across the pedestrian platform of the central car/train bridge over to
Algonquin, then head for the bridge to Alderney. Drive between the bridge wall
and the left-most barricade, and plow through the police cars or Enforcers
blocking the road, then make haste to the parking garage.

Although this is meant to be done as early as the very beginning of the game,
it is not recommended unless you know the route and have played the game
before. Once at the parking garage, this strategy is the same as the one
above.

<<Formulated by: EKGene>>

----------------------------------------
STRATEGY 3: Similar to the above strategy, and probably much easier, is to
get the wanted level needed (5 or 6 stars), and then fly to the tallest
building in southeast Algonquin. It has a large, flat roof with plenty of open
space. Once the Annihilators reach the proper altitude, land on the roof and
take cover behind one of the structures on the roof. If you stay hidden, the
Annihilators will decrease their altitude and effectively land on the roof.
When one does this, quickly pop out of cover and shoot the pilot. You must be
quick about doing this, or else they'll start gaining altitude again. If that
happens, just go back to cover and repeat until the pilot is dead.

Once the pilot is killed, kill the remaining officers on the helicopter. When
everyone is dead, get inside and fly to the parking spot of your choice (the
Lost Clubhouse spot is recommended). Land the Annihilator on the street
outside of the safehouse, then rush inside and save to remove your wanted
level. Go back outside and push the Annihilator into the parking spot with a
large vehicle (call 911 for a Fire Truck if necessary).

Videos detailing this strategy. Once again, what really matters is what
happens on the roof. The driving beforehand and the parking afterwards is not
important, although he does a good job at salvaging a broken helicopter on the
roof of that building in the second video.

Description: A large black attack helicopter. It has a machinegun that, sadly,
lacks any automatic aim like helicopters in the 3D GTA era. It's by far the
fastest and most durable helicopter in the game, but also the largest.

----------------------------------------
Missions this vehicle may also be found in:
-Three Leaf Clover
-The Revenger's Tragedy
-Out of Commission

----------------------------------------
NOTE: While there are multiple methods for obtaining an Annihilator, there are
no particularly suitable parking spots to store it in GTAIV. The best bet is
probably the Middle Park East parking spot, or failing that, Bohan.

==============================================================================
*9* BRUCIE AND STEVIE CARS
==============================================================================
These are the vehicles that you acquire for Brucie's and Stevie's missions,
where you are either emailed or texted a specific car to find. Both sets of
vehicles are listed alphabetically, as they are randomized every playthrough.
The randomization occurs when the side mission is unlocked, so if for some
reason, you don't like the order of vehicles you were dealt, simply load a
save from before the first export email or car theft text is delivered, and
meet the criteria again. The order will be randomized again.

This is only really important for Stevie's missions, as the final car
requested will always spawn in its specific spawn spot, even after finishing
the mission and delivering it. This means that car will always be obtainable,
in its specific coloring, no matter when you go for it.

ALL of Brucie's and Stevie's vehicles are confirmed unique! Some have very
subtle color differences, though (such as Brucie's Patriot request), and on
first glance, may not seem unique at all.

Strategy (Brucie): Instead of delivering the car to the lockup, park it in a
parking spot. Get in a different car, and drive a distance away from it.
You'll fail because the car was "lost." Drive back and you'll find it sitting
there still.

Strategy (Stevie): Just drive the car to a parking spot, then return to the
spot and collect another. Easier cars couldn't exist.

BRUCIE'S 'EXOTIC EXPORTS' CARS (requested via email)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Banshee
~This Banshee is blue-colored with a white stripe. It can be either a
convertible or a hard top. The blue color of this car is much grayer (close
to periwinkle) than the normal blue colors found on Banshees in traffic.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cavalcade
~This Cavalcade sports a solid, bright red coloring, along with black rims
 like in Deconstruction for Beginners.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Feltzer
~A cream-colored Feltzer. Like most features on Brucie's exports, whether it
is a hard top or convertible is random. The cream color of this car is
slightly off from other varieties of this color for Feltzer.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Intruder
~This Intruder is a rich gray color, with a very dark gray stripe along the
bottom of the sides. There's no normally available gray color that matches
 this gray.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
NRG 900
~This NRG 900 is a mixture of a solid red, with a large black segment along
the middle. This is unique in that the red coloring is much brighter than the
normal darker red used on red NRG 900s.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Patriot
~This is a gray Patriot, although the gray has a bluish tint to it not found
on random Patriots in traffic, or from the PnS. Features seem random,
including the flag emblem on the side. Very iffy as to its uniqueness, but
the bluish tint to the gray is what does it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
PCJ 600
~This PCJ 600 is a mixture of gray and black. Very similar to the normal
gray/black PCJ 600, except the normal one has gray lining around the engine
block, and a gray line on the tires, while this one doesn't.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
PMP 600
~A normal PMP 600 with a deep crimson color. It has a normal grill, not the
Mafia or hybrid version. The color of this car is much darker than either the
red PMP 600 found in traffic, or Dwayne's deep red PMP 600.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sabre GT
~A red Sabre GT with a big white stripe in the middle and no hood scoop. It
resembles the Sabre Turbo from Vice City. The red coloring is brighter than
other similarly-colored Sabre GTs. It can have either a flat hood, or a
pentagon-shaped section raised. It never has air intakes that I've seen.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sanchez
~A red Sanchez with a red fuel tank, instead of silver like usual. It also has
a red light guard instead of a gray one. Lastly, the shocks on the front
wheel are red, not gray, like the usual one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEVIE'S TEXT MESSAGE VEHICLES (requested via text message)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Banshee
~An orange Banshee with a yellow stripe. Whether it is a hard top or
convertible is random, but either is unique.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bobcat
~A dark bronze-colored Bobcat, either with some boxes in the bed of the truck
or a flat panel over the bed. There is a normal Bobcat color scheme that
looks very similar, although not identical, to this one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Buccaneer
~A black Buccaneer with a very intense purple luster. It could almost be
mistaken for the base color of the car.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cavalcade
~This Cavalcade is a dark forest green. It also has black rims, similar to
the Cavalcade found in Deconstruction for Beginners and for Brucie's exports.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cognoscenti
~A Cognoscenti with a blue body and a gray top section. A very obviously
 unique coloration.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Comet
~A Comet with a bright orange-purple color and a reddish luster. Depending on
the lighting, it can look anywhere from bronze to plum in color.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Contender
~This Contender is matte black and has a flat panel back. Whether the panel is
 smooth or rough is randomized.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coquette
~A silver-colored Coquette with a light yellow luster.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
DF8-90
~This DF8-90 is a bright but deep blue color, similar to the Intruder and
Sultan also part of the car thefts.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dilletante
~A Dilletante with a solid-gold paintjob.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dukes
~This Dukes is a rich, bright orange with a reddish luster. The presence or
absence of a supercharger on the hood is random.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Faggio
~This Faggio has a dark green paintjob that is slightly different from the
usual color on other Faggios, although the difference is negligible.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Freeway
~This Freeway is bronze-colored. Whether it has the saddlebags on the back is
 random.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Huntley Sport
~A Huntley Sport with a black body and a silver-colored top.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Infernus
~A solid-gold Infernus (at least the paintjob is). Unlike Bernie's Infernus,
it has no black stripe along the side.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Intruder
~This Intruder is a deep blue color, much like the Sultan mentioned later in
this list and the DF8-90 earlier. This is the normal variant of the Intruder,
not the Mafia's variant (which has a spoiler and other body modifications).
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Manana
~A black-bodied Manana with a white roof section. A particularly distinct
coloration, but sometimes it will spawn without the roof, resulting in a much
 less visually-distinct vehicle.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moonbeam
~This Moonbeam has a metallic purple paintjob with a purple-red luster, making
 it stand out quite well.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
NRG 900
~An NRG 900 with a simple black and silver body.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Patriot
~This Patriot is a rich yellow, similar to Playboy X's Patriot. The difference
is that it has the American flag decal on the side, which X's does not have.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
PMP 600
~A silver PMP 600 with a slight blue luster to it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rancher
~A pick-up style Rancher. It has a dark red top and bottom and a big gray
 strip along the side.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rebla
~This Rebla is a pleasant golden-brown color.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sabre GT
~A green Sabre GT with a black stripe. It seems to have an orange luster and
can have a flat hood or air inlet, but not the pentagon-shaped adornment.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sentinel
~This car is a dark grayish-blue with a green luster. One of the more
interesting colors, in my opinion. It also has black rims.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sultan
~This Sultan is a deep, rich blue color, very similar to the tuner version
also seen in Alderney. The color is very similar, if not the same, as the
 earlier-listed Intruder and DF8-90.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
SuperGT
~A plain, flat black SuperGT with a slight blue luster to it, only visible in
 direct sunlight.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Turismo
~This Turismo is gold-colored like the previously mentioned Dilletante, which
is one of the more unique colorations found in these missions.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Voodoo
~A solid green Voodoo with black trim.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Washington
~A plain black Washington with a whitish luster.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

==============================================================================
*12* FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
==============================================================================
Q: You missed [insert vehicle]!
A: Email me, and let me know. You will receive full credit for it.

Q: [Insert vehicle] doesn't possess a property you said it did!
A: Most likely, you did not follow the precise strategy. If you did, and it
does not retain its property, contact me and say so, although I personally
 check each and every vehicle.

Q: [Insert vehicle] isn't special, but you still have it listed here!
A: Send me the info on where it can be found at any time (especially the end
of the game), and I'll adjust or remove it from this guide accordingly.

Q: One of the vehicles you listed is one I discovered first, and here's
 proof! Thief!
A: If you have proof you discovered a vehicle first, show it to me and if I
determine you really did discover it first, credit will be given.

Q: You missed the DP Yellow Comet in Brucie's "No. 1" mission!
A: The car is not damage-proof. It has a rear engine, so bashing around the
front of the car doesn't damage it as easily as front-engine vehicles.

Q: There's this car, the Sultan RS, that's special!
A: NO IT ISN'T. It is not special because it's available infinitely. PLEASE
stop IMing/emailing me about this. It constitutes about 75% of the total
emails/IMs I get about this game.

Q: I lost Bernie's Infernus! Where do I get another?
A: The Infernus has no set spawn location. The only way to get another is to
have obtained it during a mission, found one on the streets (while driving
one yourself, or most likely, by replaying various street races until one
appears. Street races are the only way to continue finding the Infernus after
all missions have been exhausted. As for Bernie's specific orange Infernus
with the black stripe, it's one-of-a-kind. Sorry.

they turned out not to be special, I appreciate all of the emails/IMs.

==============================================================================
*15* VERSION HISTORY
==============================================================================
Versions prior to 1.00 have been omitted.

1.00 Completed May 29th, 2008.
FINALLY FINISHED THE GAME. Removed a couple vehicles, looked into MOST
vehicles in the two possible final missions. Still no obtainable proofed
vehicles.

1.05 Completed May 31st, 2008.
Thanks to people like Swift and Dmitry for helping me with confirming a
lot of the special color vehicles. Poor Lost Zombie ain't so special no
more. Added descriptions to unique color/feature vehicles. Laundromat is
also confirmed not special.

2.00 Completed June 20th, 2008.
Thanks to GTA_Loco, been discovering a LOT more new vehicles (and
confirming older ones). Thanks man, you're a terrific help! Added a
section reserved for Brucie's and Stevie's cars, because they're all
(seemingly) unique, and all available under extremely similar conditions.
Added a link to the GameFAQs topic about how to CP your vehicles! Decided
to remove the unobtainable CP vehicles from the guide, as with the method
to make them yourself, they're useless entries (like UJs were).

2.10 Completed June 25th, 2008.
Some changes and additions. Jacob's red/black Virgo is only rare, and
found the first official unobtainable that isn't CP.

2.50 Completed July 5th, 2008.
Finished Brucie's vehicle entries, and refined and searched many more
vehicles. Most work done by GTA_Loco on discovery of new vehicles.
Theory for luster vehicles occurring. It seems that those vehicles that
will have lusters have some or all of: green, red, blue, purple. This
goes for both normally available ones (the black lustered Stallion) as
well as mission-unique ones. Some have only appeared as one color, but I
hope to discover its universal, thus making their documentation much
easier.

2.80 Completed July 14th, 2008.
More info on special vehicles, some tuner cars (the extended bumper
Intruder) debunked, and more insight on lusters. More random encounter
vehicles listed, and added its own subsection in the mission list. More
info on CPing vehicles as well.

2.90 Completed August 15th, 2008.
More info again. New strategy for the Police Stockade in Tunnel of Death.
Cherry Red Hellfury is back, but Plain Red now! Still Ruff Ryder. Changed
some things and dropped a few vehicles that weren't special.

3.00 Completed August 21st, 2008.
Finally completed Stevie's car selection!!! Thanks to Anderson, found a
load more lustered vehicles circa Ray Boccino's missions, as well as
Gerry's hostage missions. A lot of other additions and removals (such as
the chrome red Sanchez). Added the dark green Vincents from the hostage
string, as well as a green/blue Rancher in Babysitting.

3.10 Completed August 22nd, 2008.
Changes some stuff in the mission order.

3.20 Completed August 29th, 2008.
More changes and additions. Discovered a lot more lusters for various
vehicles. Various breakthroughs with luster properties. Laundromat is
back as a unique vehicle...for now. Certain breakthroughs that explain
the seemingly random Algonquin sightings have thrown it's actual rarity
into question again. A lot of Brucie's vehicles ARE unique, but just seem
normal, due to subtle differences.

3.30 Completed September 2nd, 2008.
More changes, finished analyzing Brucie's listing.

3.35 Completed September 26th, 2008.
Info on vehicles in No. 1.

3.40 Completed November 6th, 2008.
More changes and additions. More insight on lusters and their true natures
(hopefully). Green/purple almost definitely the ones available free roam.
U.L. Paper's red/white Maverick added, along with a few other vehicles,
along with some changes.

3.45 Completed November 21st, 2008.
More changes, completely rewrote luster section better explain the current
state of the theory. Finally ran it through a spellchecker. No idea why I
didn't earlier. Found out the luster Schafter in Pegorino's Pride doesn't
require mission failure to keep. Relented and included the black-rimmed
Cavalcade in Deconstruction for Beginners as lustered.

3.50 Completed December 8th, 2008.
Added the lustered Huntley Sport in Out of Commission. Added an extra mission
section to the mission list (as insignificant as it is). Maroon Flatbed NOT
unique.

3.55 Completed December 23rd, 2008.
Re-added Flatbed in Rigged to Blow as an unobtainable. Listed Brucie's
Banshee in unobtainables. Some other addition or change I forgot to add
here and now I forget entirely. Also, Dark Gray Sabre GT is lustered.

3.60 Completed January 12th, 2009.
More lusters for Sabre GT. New police maverick strategy. Refurbished
Unconfirmed vehicles section thanks to LordJanemba.

3.65 Completed February 2nd, 2009.

3.66 Completed February 17th, 2009.

list of terms. Anderson pointed out lustered Patriots in Photo Shoot. The
Banshee in Hossan's mission is lustered. Finally confirmed the lustered
Cognoscenti in Gerald's first mission. Silver lustered Lokus in Meltdown.
First lustered motorcycle! The Hellfury in Museum Piece.

3.67 Completed February 18th, 2009.
Fixed a few errors from the previous version. Added credit for a few
vehicles. Discovered the "chrome red" Sanchezes in some missions are
actually lustered, all thanks to the Hellfury displaying that to me.
Discovered the silver lustered Sultan in Pegorino's Pride!

3.68 Completed February 19th, 2009.
Fixed some vehicle strategies that didn't work quite right. Found a
black and silver Rancher in If the Price is Right. Better explanation
of the strategy for the Sanchez in the same mission, and investigation
into Sanchezes in that mission, Truck Hustle, and Out of Commission.
Confirmed the white ribbon Cognoscenti in Deal version of Mr. and Mrs.
Bellic. Researched vehicles in Deal's endgame mission.

3.69 Completed February 20th, 2009.
More info on lustered Rebla. Info on Dimitri's white and gold Maverick in
the Deal final mission. Checked more into Ivan's Ruiner in the early
mission, and it is lustered. Revised some aspects of the luster section.
The guide is essentially finished for now, as I've checked and examined
everything possible that I know of. Still accepting tips and hints of
other special vehicles though!

3.70 Completed February 23rd, 2009.
Some minor corrections, and altered some vehicle's attributions.

3.71 Completed March 2nd, 2009.
Removed some sites' permission to host this guide.

3.72 Completed March 4th, 2009.
Spellchecked the guide one last time, and found a couple of mistakes that
had thus far eluded me. Let's hope this log for the update doesn't have
errors itself!

3.73 Completed March 6th, 2009.
A few additional corrections and changes.

3.74 Completed April 20th, 2009.
Added a white lustered Oracle in ...Pest Control and some other minor
notes.

3.75 Completed April 22nd, 2009.
Added the solid black Maverick in Babysitting and a note about the Willard
(read!!!).

3.76 Completed April 24th, 2009.
Fixed some info on the lustered Huntley Sport in the final mission.

3.77 Completed May 8th, 2009.
Added a luster for the Schafter to the list. Accidentally discovered the
black Speedos in Crime and Punishment are lustered.

3.78 Completed May 11th, 2009.
Added some more luster info, as well as another lustered car (the DF8-90
in Faustin's missions - 4 total).

3.79 Completed May 12th, 2009.
Some more luster info.

3.80 Completed May 26th, 2009.
More vehicles.

3.81 Completed June 8th, 2009.
Added the lustered Emperor.

3.82 Completed June 29th, 2009.
Added info about parking spot quirks.

4.00 Completed July 7th, 2009.
Made lusters their own section, which is a massive overhaul. Hopefully all
renumbered vehicles have their proper number at all places in the guide...

4.01 Completed August 1st, 2009.
Removed the Willard as a possibly unique car, as multiple people have
mentioned it does indeed appear in traffic.

4.02 Completed September 29th, 2009.
A few corrections and new strategy for the lustered Huntley Sport from
robrabbitman. Also discovered the blue SuperGT in No. 1 is lustered!

4.03 Completed October 6th, 2009.
Ran it through spellcheck again and revised a couple of things, such as
the "About" section right below this. Also discovered a lustered car in
Jacob's drug deliveries, thanks to robrabbitman. Revised the mission list,
adding Jacob's deliveries, and the green roof beater Emperor's description.

4.04 Completed November 1st, 2009.
Added the information on motorcycle issues in parking spots from the TLAD
guide.

4.05 Completed November 3rd, 2009.
Added some notes about the Annihilator, and how Police Maverick strategies
don't actually work for obtaining it.

4.06 Completed November 5th, 2009.
Removed the Willard from the suspect vehicle list once and for all. Also
fixed a few instances of unobtainable vehicles not being listed as so in
the mission list.

4.07 Completed November 8th, 2009.
Excessive updates, but that's how I roll, baby. Standardized a few elements
of the guide with my TLAD and TBoGT guides.

4.08 Completed November 24th, 2009.
Thanks to Floris Ferwerda, I know exactly how unique vehicles like the
Laundromat and Romero's Hearse work when it comes to spawning on the
streets, and their entries are updated accordingly.

4.09 Completed November 28th, 2009.
One final revision of the Annihilator's section, and a note about the
Police Stockades in Three Leaf Clover I didn't think of before. Corrected
a few other things throughout the guide as well. Alphabetized the list of
terms. Added info on the Fire Truck Trick, as limited in scope as it likely
will be in GTAIV itself.

4.10 Completed December 1st, 2009.
Revisions of a couple of things.

4.11 Completed December 8th, 2009.
Edited listings of "Romero's Hearse" to the proper term of "Romero."

4.12 Completed December 17th, 2009.
Edited some of the information about lusters (The DF8-90 and about
white/silver lusters). Also edited the Futo entry (used to be 5.46, now
6.32). Apparently much different than we thought. Also found a similar
hybrid Intruder in another drug mission.

4.13 Completed December 18th, 2009.
Notes about the hybrid tuner cars. Thanks to Floris Ferwerda for pointing
out that the hybrid cars only appear if you skip the cutscene!

4.14 Completed December 21st, 2009.
Lustered Turismo in "Union Drive" discovered. The first (and only)
randomly colored AND lustered car known!

4.15 Completed December 22nd, 2009.
Lustered random color Sabre GT in If the Price is Right.

4.16 Completed December 29th, 2009.
Moved pre-4.00 versions to the Version History Log at the back of the
guide, to cut down on bulk in the preamble. Also added some notes about a
couple of Stevie's cars. Removed some vehicles that aren't actually special,
including those random lustered cars.

4.17 Completed March 30th, 2010.
Fixed the mission list's vehicles. Thanks to Coen91 for pointing this out.
Also added a few lusters to the luster table thanks to him.

4.18 Completed April 15th, 2010.
Moved the entire version history to the back of the guide.

4.19 Completed May 12th, 2010.
Minor edits and revisions of a couple of things.

4.20 Completed June 11th, 2010.
Figured out that the Infernus is actually a rare vehicle, as it does not
spawn in traffic on its own, but rather only if you are already driving one.
It also appears in races, thus making it rare. Also added the Annihilator
cheat, that Elijah77 pointed out. Also rewrote section 3 (CPing vehicles)
to flow better.

4.21 Completed November 19th, 2010.
Courtesy of EKGene, a way to get the Annihilator at any time! This is a bit
difficult to pull off, but works wonders, and works at any point of the game
in GTAIV, TLAD, and TBoGT. Check the video out here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHHumUqbfWg

4.22 Completed December 30th, 2010.
Edited some of the Rare vehicle entries to standardize the format across all
of my vehicle guides. Rewrote parts of the About section.

4.23 Completed February 21st, 2011.
Added Vlad's light blue Marbelle back in after years. It is apparently
slightly different than the normal random blue of this car.

4.24 Completed May 6th, 2011.
Esperanto discovered the silver Blista Compact in Ivan The Not So Terrible is
actually lustered!

4.25 Completed May 9th, 2011.
More stuff from Esperanto, including a new luster color for the Emperor. Also
changed all referneces of the "rich" yellow Comet to "bright" yellow instead.
He also found a random-colored lustered Oracle in Harboring a Grudge.

4.26 Completed June 6th, 2011.
Changed my contact information.

4.27 Completed June 23rd, 2011.
Added a new luster color for the Dukes in Lure. Also added a lustered tuner
Oracle in Taking Out the Trash. haloftw1 discovered a dark green Squalo
and Willard in Babysitting, too.

4.30 Completed August 25th, 2011.
Added a new luster for the Dukes, as well as finally adding the green side
stripe Sabre in drug deliveries, too. Esperanto discovered that the Huntley
Sport in Jacob's final drug mission is special! He also discovered that the
Primos in Undertaker are lustered! Good to see someone finally checked them
out. Finally, removed the "Suspected unique vehicles" section, because it's
really not needed anymore (and never will be again).

4.31 Completed September 2nd, 2011.
Rewrote some sections (like About and Parking Spots). Also added a random
color lustered Primo from Taking in the Trash, discovered by Esperanto.

4.32 Completed September 9th, 2011.
Added a note about the lustered random Primo in Taking in the Trash.

4.33 Completed September 19th, 2011.
Added a section on letting cops jack UJ vehicles for ease of transport to
parking spots, courtesy of GTA Phreak.

4.34 Completed September 22nd, 2011.
Added a note about the SuperGT in Stevie's car deliveries. Also mentioned the
cop strategy for the first Police Stockades, and a note urging people who
test the strategy on vehicles to let me know if it works for certain vehicles
or not.

4.35 Completed November 11th, 2011.
FizzMy discovered a black lustered NRG-900 in Easy As Can Be, triggered in
a specific way. Excellent discovery! Also added green to the Ruiner's luster
table (discovered myself while playing up to the mission to test the lustered
NRG-900).

4.36 Completed November 14th, 2011.
A black lustered Bobcat in Truck Hustle, courtesy of Esperanto. <3 Also
removed the lustered silver Sanchez from the same mission, as I really don't
think it's actually lustered, just randomly colored.

4.37 Completed November 21st, 2011.
Esperanto pointed out some minor issues over my addition of the lustered NRG900
to the guide (conflicts with the Sultan right before it).

4.38 Completed November 28th, 2011.
Added Vlad's light blue Marbelle to unobtainable vehicles in Clean Getaway, and
added a unique Roman's Taxi variant found in the first mission! Thanks, Coen91!

4.39 Completed January 3rd, 2012.
Esperanto pointed out some more things, including that the sky is not, in fact,
blue, because that's just light playing tricks on our eyes. Also stuff about
the vehicles in the final mission, and NRG lusters. Also made sure to note all
those black Schafters with a silver grill are actually Russian gang Schafters,
similar to Mafia PMP-600s and Sentinels.

4.40 Completed January 7th, 2012.
A bunch of vehicles from Gustavo, including a special Annihilator without a
tail rotor, an Oracle without a medallion, and a hybrid Primo. Also,
Esperanto discovered some lustered black Sentinels (not Mafia style) in Out
of Commission. These are an alternative to Oleg's Sentinel!

4.41 Completed January 16th, 2012.
Gustavo discovered Gracie's pink Felzer is actually lustered! Also never
publicly released this version because I forgot.

4.42 Completed January 23rd, 2012.
Reclaimer VII mentioned some things, including that Playboy X's yellow Patriot
has a variable-intensity green luster (similar to the randomly-appearing red
Turismo). Both also reported that the pink Feltzer is lustered, and a lustered
black Vincent in the last Diamonds mission. Gustavo also discovered what is
probably a method to obtain the white Maverick with black stripes in Paper
Trail! Also mentioned that the Police Stockades in Three Leaf Clover have a
mesh front window, whereas Tunnel of Death's does not. Gustavo also found
three special boats: two in Buoys Ahoy, and one in Brucie's boating activity.

4.43 Completed March 26th, 2012.
Fixed a few minor errors and changed position of a couple of missions in the
list to better combine missions from the same employer (missions 20-26).

4.44 Completed June 27th, 2012.
Added a note about the White Maverick w/ black stripes in Paper Trail on PS3,
courtesy of DGTZ1982. Also added a note about the possible lustered green
SuperGT in Union Drive not being unique, courtesy of EKGene, as well as a
strategy for the light blue lustered SuperGT in No. 1.

4.45 Completed July 16th, 2012.
Changed some info in the contact information section, and added a note that
the final vehicle in Stevie's car thefts can always be found at its spawn
point, even after finishing the theft.

4.46 Completed September 13th, 2012.
Reformatted the spacing of the guide, making it easier to read.

4.47 Completed December 20th, 2012.
Some minor corrections and other updates. Added in a cheatless easy strategy
for the Stockade with mesh windows, and some more info on Bernie's orange-
gold Infernus given after his mission strand. Darksunnyday found a strategy to
get the White Maverick w/ black strikes on the PS3 version! He also found some
more info on the random lustered Oracle in Taking in the Trash.

4.48 Completed March 5th, 2013.
Confirmed the method for keeping the Police Stockade in Three Leaf Clover by
pushing it and starting one of Ray's missions. Also renovated the Stevie car
theft section. Basically I believe all of the vehicles are unique, with some
having minor differences in the shade or luster of a particular color that is
also found in random traffic or pay n' spray. Also found that the red Biff in
Tunnel of Death isn't special, and isn't even guaranteed to be red. Also found
that the Mafia Sentinels and PMP 600s in She's a Keeper require mission
failure to keep. Esperanto discovered the silver Pony vans in Truck Hustle are
lustered! I also found there are two possible lustered Bobcats in that mission,
not just one.

4.49 Completed March 14th, 2013.
Re-added the bright red Biff. I kind of really messed up realizing which Biff
it was. Oops. Also discovered a lustered silver Presidente in Tunnel of Death!
Also fixed a vehicle numbering issue in the luster section.

4.50 Completed March 18th, 2013.
Fixed a small mistake from last version. #6.37, Rasta Huntley Sport, had a
typo in the number.

4.51 Completed April 3rd, 2013.
Discovered the silver Oracle that Ray drives at the start of Truck Hustle is
lustered. Damn it, completely unobtainable, too. Also fixed up the Brucie and
Stevie car list in the table of contents. Also discovered that the red Sanchez
at the end of Truck Hustle IS lustered, differently than I thought in the past.
The other red Sanchezs I know of may be lustered, too, but I need to check.

4.52 Completed April 7th, 2013.
A new strategy on how to get an Annihilator at any time, easier than previous
strategies. Courtesy of Ranjaya Mendis! Also removed that "silver lustered
Presidente" I found in the previous entry. Turns out it was just doing that
thing where the car spawns the same color multiple times in a row. Also
changed the random lustered tuner Oracle in Taking in the Trash to a non-
lustered special vehicle, as the lusters were just innate properties of
otherwise normal paintjobs. Or they would've been, if the car wasn't special
because it's the only lustered tuner Oracle that can have a color besides the
normal dark green they have.

4.53 Completed April 10th, 2013.
Fixed some errors and a numbering issue.

4.54 Completed June 7th, 2013.
Added section 3.3 - Mission Replay Texts, courtesy of F_H_Nukem. Also made
some small edits to various vehicle strategies, such as the 5.2 Blista
Compact, and 4.1 Roman's Taxi. Also added section 3.4 - Death: The easiest
strategy of all, something I've been meaning to add for a while. I also went
and revised or touched up most strategies throughout the guide. Nothing major,
just making them flow a bit better. Added dividers into multi-paragraph
strategies to help keep different strategies separate, and broke up some of
the really big single paragraphs that I used to avoid the multi-paragraph
issue.

4.55 Completed June 14th, 2013.
Removed section 1.2 because the strategy has since evolved, thanks to more
help from F_H_Nukem. Added in a new entry to some vehicles, Mission replay
checkpoint, which lists what checkpoint within a mission the replay text
will send you back to if the mission is failed. Vehicles that can benefit
from exploiting the nstant mission-starting properties of the texts are
also explicitly specified, rather than listing it as a general strategy.

4.56 Completed July 2nd, 2013.
Added what is now section 11: a cheat list. Also added info on alt colors of
Roman's Taxi from pay n' sprays.

4.57 Completed December 27th, 2013.
Re-spaced a lot of the guide and integrated information on mission replay
checkpoints into strategies for the first 63 missions. Also ClaudeCJVercetti
introduced a strategy for more easily getting the lustered pink Feltzer and a
way to get the bright red Biff and Police Stockade in Tunnel of Death at the
same time.

4.58 Completed April 11th, 2014.
Yerdna555 offered a method for getting an Annihilator to get the Maverick in
Paper Trail without cheats.

4.59 Completed June 18th, 2014.
Improved the rare vehicle section slightly with improvements from my GTA5
guide.

4.60 Completed September 15th, 2016.
Updated my contact info.

4.61 Completed November 19th, 2016.
Reworded the guide in many places, creating a smoother flow to paragraphs.
Altered the mission order to move Brucie's four missions from after Roman's
Sorrow to after Algonquin is unlocked, to accommodate the multiple vehicles
available in his missions with easy access to Algonquin parking spots.
