Version 1.00 03-08-06 Just Started, Basic Layout done, First Weapons written down. ______________________________________________________________________________ Section 3.0-Basic Tatics ______________________________________________________________________________ This section will go over some basic tatics you can use with your squad. 1.Firebase/Assaulter tatics This tatic is the basis of the modern infentry squad. Simply half of the squad covers while the other half darts from cover to cover until they are in a position to accuretly shoot at the enemy. How used in GRAW: This tatic is very simple. Depending on your weapon you will be more suitied for one of the two roles. Rifles, and grenadier weapons are more suited for the assaulting role. Rifles, marksman rifles, and machine guns are more suited for the covering role. 2.Flanking Flanking is one of the oldest tatics in Miltary Warfare. It is used on all levels of combat from small squads(like in this game) to involving entire theater level forces(Gulf War). Basically like above part of the squad will fire on the enemy but instead of covering their teamates they are drawing fire to distract the enemy while the other half of the team is moving around to strike the enemy from the side or rear. How used in GRAW: Simply send half of your team around the enemy position or leave some teammates and have them fire on the enemy and move around and start shooting at the enemy. 3. Using cover This game is great for this. Almost anything can be used as cover. Hide and then peek out and look for enemies and take cover before they can shoot. Then when they stop shoot them. 4.You have support vehicles around use them. The M1A2Abrams, M2 Bradelys ,AH-64 Apaches, and UH-60 Blackhawks running around can be a life saver. Most of them can kill tanks for you and all are excellent aganist infentry. Also the ground vehicles also make great bullet shields. Just when moving around don't hang too close too them they are big bullet magnets. 5. Squad Composition You want to balance your squad for whatever could come up. First thing is to know what your taking. Then if you can make sure your squad has an anti-tank gunner. Support gunners and marksman are great have. If you have to decide who to not bring drop whoever is carrying the same weapon your carrying. ______________________________________________________________________________ Section 4.0-Choosing Your Weapon ______________________________________________________________________________ When you get the chance to choose your weapons it is important to choose carefully. Look at your team. If your team is missing a weapons role and you have no specfic information like that there may be bunkers or you have to escort something or defend a positon then the best bet is to choose the weapon your squad dosen't have. If you have to defend then the machine guns are going to be your best bet. If bunkers are expected then a sniper rifle is going to be your best. Escorting will most likely mean a lot of motion so rifles are ideal because of their lightness and accuracy. Machine guns are also usefull since their are ideal for shooting while running because of their huge mags. Grenade launcher equipped rifles are also almost always useable in place of rifles while giving you more firepower. ______________________________________________________________________________ Section 5.0-Rifleman Weapons ______________________________________________________________________________ This section will go over the rifleman weapons available in this game. Game Description:The Modular Rifle Caseless is a lightweight weapon with a large 50 round magazine. Although it maintains decent accuracy, it's high rate of fire can make it harder to control then other infantry rifles.
