I'm really disappointed that this game didn't do better. Without calling it art, I can safely say that a lot of hard work was put into this. The game is a bit rough on the edges and way too short. But I'm pretty sure you'll find a way to love this little gem, when you go to play it you'll see why. It's a fresh take on the adventure genre that was badly needed. For now, the only sites that are allowed to host this FAQ are www.gamefaqs.com www.gameplayworld.com If you want to post my FAQ on your site, please send me an e-mail asking for permission first. I prefer to know where my FAQs are going, I'll try to be as quick in my reply as I can. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ 2. Version History -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ September 7, 2005 ----------------- After I finish my Second Sight FAQ...this is my next project. I already finished the layout of the FAQ. Then I briefly started the walkthrough, expect full-time work on this by the end of the week. Can't wait to start this one as it's a challenge compared to what I did before. September 8, 2005 ----------------- I'm going to finish up to Black Isle then calling it a day. I'm also going to document as many animals as I can before I get the Detector (which will make it much easier). September 9, 2005 ----------------- Working very hard now, I hope to get the walkthrough finished and add the collection bits as they come up. I'll wrap all the side collection items (ones not gained during normal gameplay) near the end. I'll submit a 100% complete version to GameFAQs. September 11, 2005 ------------------ Wow, Factory is taking a while...got half of it done in addition to a ton of Pearls/Animals that needed documenting September 12, 2005 ------------------ The Factory is done, not going to start Slaughterhouse until I can get as many animals and pearls as I can at this point. September 13, 2005 ------------------- I've given up on version numbers for these updates since I'm submitted in a complete one. That one will be Version 1.00 and updates then will cause 0.01 increases. The Slaughterhouse is getting started, I'm also tying up loose ends on item collection. September 14-15, 2005 --------------------- Wow, so much done over this period. Slaughterhouse and Animal/Pearl updates were made over this period. September 16, 2005 ------------------ Going to really update the Pearl section as I need a lot of Pearls to get to the next area. So I'll take advantage of the situation and do that. September 17, 2005 ------------------ All Pearls and Animals are finished, moving onto the last section: The Moon. September 18, 2005 ------------------ Taking a break today, got things planned. Plan on wrapping up the game by the end of tomorrow. September 19, 2005 ------------------ Whew, beat the ENTIRE game today. Currently typing up loose ends and getting various sections cleaned-up. I will submit this tomorrow and see how it goes. September 20, 2005 Ver. 1.00 ------------------ Submitted for approval, keeping my fingers crossed. November 11, 2005 Ver. 1.01 ----------------- Made a couple changes to the Legal Information. November 17, 2005 Ver. 1.02 ----------------- Had to make a very minor correction to Legal Information that I felt was necessary. _-_-_-_-_-_ 3. Gameplay _-_-_-_-_-_ =*=*=*=*=*=*= 3.1. Walkthrough -_-_-_-_-_-_-_ =*=*=*=*=*=*=* 5.1. Beginning =*=*=*=*=*=*=* Lighthouse Exterior ------------------- After watching the opening cinema, swing the burning stick at the DomZ that attack you to free your friends. Afterwards, another cinema will take over
and you'll face a boss. DomZ Lighthouse Monster ----------------------- You first have to free yourself from the cage, so charge your staff by holding X. Once out, attack the DomZ Lighthouse Monster until it hides behind a barrier of it's own. Charge attacks break it down and let you get a few shots in. It'll hide behind the barrier again while smaller DomZ come to his aid. Ignore them as Pey'J will keep them busy, just keep breaking the barrier down and striking the main Monster. Once he's done, ride the elevator up and watch the cinematic Lighthouse Interior ------------------- Some more cinematics and you'll learn how to use the Camera, take the picture to gain some money. Afterwards, walk to the kitchen on this floor and grab the five Starkos (one on the counter, three in the fridge and one in the oven that you have to kick open). Leave the lighthouse via the door beside the kitchen. Lighthouse Exterior ------------------- Take a picture of the flying blue-fish creatures (Vorax Nocturnus) to gain enough money to turn on the shield. Once that's over, follow Pey'J and the drone into the Hangar. Hangar ------ Follow the drone into Pey'J's Workshop. Pey'J's Workshop ---------------- Take the M-Disk that's in the booth and play it in the M-Disk player. Once the brief cinema is over save your game and follow Pey'J. Hangar ------ Head down the ramp to the hoverboat that Pey'J is working on. Grab the two Boosts and two P-O-D's from the counter first. Go talk to Pey'J and he'll tell Jade to push the generator. Do so and he'll join you, once it's beside the the electrical pole power will return to the hovercraft. Hop in and leave the Hangar by the only exit. Hillys ------ Use the compass with Triangle to find the direction to Mammago Garage. Go straight and the hovercraft will break down. Fortunately, Mammago send a "tow truck" to pick you up. He'll tow you to Mammago Garage. Mammago Garage -------------- Once you are here, head to the right and into the room on the far left. You'll need a Speedcraft Motor to repair your hovercraft. So deposit a Pearl where indicated to get it. You can also get a Meca Impulser (1500 Credits) and Starkos (150 Credits) from the vending machine. Hillys Boss: DomZ Sea Serpent ------ Immediately after leaving, the DomZ strike again. This time a Sea Serpent will drop into the sea and attack boats. You must use your new motor to give chase with the R2 button. Fire shoots out with X when you see it's blue glowing backside. It'll drop mines as you give chase so be sure to dodge them and any boats you come across. As you keep firing sections of the Serpent will drop. This will also make it harder to hit as it becomes more manoeverable with less mass. Once defeated you'll get Pearl 2. Afterwards, head to the City marked on the Compass. Main Canal ---------- Just keep heading straight through, head through either tunnel at the very end as they both end up in the same place. Hillys ------ Once out on the other side, head to Black Isle as marked on the Compass then through the tunnel in the Isle straight ahead. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*= 5.2. Black Isle =*=*=*=*=*=*=*= Black Isle ---------- Dock at the pier, then approach the man in black to start a short cinema. Save on the M-Disk Reader if you need. Go through the tunnel on the right and make a left at the junction. Walk onto the platform with the arrow in front of the door, press Triangle to get Pey'J to step on the other one. Proceed through the now-open door. Ancient Mine ------------ Once here, approach the contraption ahead and Pey'J will call you over to him. Do so and talk to him, he'll tell you about his new Jet Boots. Now, walk onto a panel of that machine and press Triangle to Jet Boot Pey'J onto the second one. It'll launch you up, you'll grab the platform automatically so just pull yourself up. Go left and around the corner to find a lone cog between two wood panels. Approach it and press X to get Jade to climb up and pull it dropping two bridges. Pey'J will join you so head down the other bridge to the next part. There's a map to your right, take a picture to copy it down. Continue down to the mushroom-like creature ahead (remember to take pictures as they are instant cash). Position Jade so she is facing the firework crates by the corner of the wall (she must have the mushroom-thing in between her and the crates). Press Triangle to get Pey'J to jet-boot slam the ground. The creature will pop up, press X to get Jade into slow-mo then position the cursor so it faces the crates. Press X again to send the mushroom crashing into them. A secret room is unveiled, two Starkos and a single Boost are inside in a cabinet. After grabbing them, open the way forward by repeating the same thing with the second set of firework crates. Now, attack the anemonie on the wall to reveal the passage to the next part. Go into the passage on the right, position yourself across the firework cart with the mushroom between you. Press Triangle, then X and position the cursor again. Press X to send the creature towards the cart. This will push it and the fireworks will make the next bridge go down. Go over it and turn right, a Crochax will attack you. Take a picture for a 1000 Credits then kill it to get some Materia Crystals. Afterwards go on and you'll see a mine cart. In the corner here is another cog, press X near it to have Jade climb up and turn it. This will lower a loading ramp, push the mine cart (Pey'J will automatically assist you) towards the ramp. Climb up the mine cart and into the loading ramp. Secondary Shaft --------------- This is a straight-forward combat section, just keep hammering X to smash through everything to get to the end. There are two kinds of jellyfish and crochax in here. Grab the Materia Crystals for extra cash. Step on the arrow switch and press Triangle to get Pey'J on the other. Ancient Mine ------------ There's a vending machine with Starkos in here (still 150 credits) and an M-Disk Reader for saving. There's a Boost, Box of K-Bups and a Wrench in the three lockers here. Kick them open to receive their respective items. Then go towards the chainlink fence opposite the lockers and press Triangle to get Pey'J to open it with the Wrench. Go through and climb up the ledge at the end. Move on to the Secondary Shaft. Secondary Shaft --------------- If you want to battle more enemies, go ahead. But head up the ramp and take a left to get back to the Ancient Mine. Ancient Mine ------------ Once here, backtrack and head down that bridge you knocked down with the fireworks cart. Turn left once down and press Triangle to have Pey'J open the fence. There's a vending machine with a PA-1 (1500 Credits) and two Starkos. Get all of them, especially the PA-1 as it increases your health by one heart. Continue on, shimmey across the narrow ledge to the next area. Climb up the ledge and go up the embankment, noting the mushroom. At the top is a firework cart and a bridge. Push the firework cart to the opposite end and go back to the mushroom. Again, use the trick you already know to knock the mushroom into the cart. It'll push the cart back where it came and the explosion will drop the ramp. Pey'J will then join you, but with some more Crochax creatures. Take them out and then go to the contraption up on that ledge. Go on the raised platform switch and press Triangle to have Pey'J slam into the other one. Climb up the ledge, drop down the other side and save on the M-Disk Player if you need. Open the door with the palm-reader and have Pey'J open the fence to open the way to the next area. Main Shaft ---------- When you first enter, jump to the next ledge and a cinema will follow. Attack the approaching Palinurus by having Pey'J slam down with Triangle and smacking them like you did the mushrooms. Knock them off the edge to rid you of them. Continue forward and another wave will attack. Hit one towards the bridge on the far side to lower it. Then just rid yourselves of the remaining attackers. Across the bridge is an M-Disk Reader if you need it. Otherwise, there's another cog to turn to lower the lift on this ledge. Do so and climb up. Hit the anemonies to rid the path of them and run ahead. Jump to the upper ledge and climb up. Move on and hit the Anemonie to get it to retreat. Have Pey'J slam on it with Triangle to get it out of the way. You are now in the boss's chamber, take a picture of the creature to your right to commence it. Boss: Pterolimax Gigantea ------------------------- Take a picture of all bosses, you won't have a second chance. For the first half, he'll pop out of the ground and spin around making it impossible to approach. Have Pey'J slam on his head with Triangle to stun him then hit him with the staff repeatedly. Even when he's retreating you can get an extra 1-2 shots in so don't stop. He'll then release some creatures, usually Crochax and Cyanea. Take them out when released, the boss won't attack during this phase. Once they are out he'll continue his "pop-up" game. Once his health is about half down (estimated), he'll do another attack and halt the creature rushes. He'll fly around the room spraying a green mist onto the floor. Run away to avoid him as he swoops around doing this. Once done he'll keep doing the "pop-up" attack. Repeat the Pey'J slam and staff hit attack to defeat him. A series of cinemas will play afterwards, you'll get 3000 Credits and be told where to go next. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= 5.3. The Iris Network =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= Black Isle ---------- Enter the Hovercraft and leave Black Isle. Hillys ------ Head for the City, as marked on the Compass Main Canal ---------- Head down the first left turn you come across to get into the Pedestrian District. Pedestrian District ------------------- There's not a whole lot to do right now, you can pick up a Pearl at Nouri's shop on the first level. Acuda Bar is on the third level, it's the only building up there. Use your map to navigate around because this is not a big district. Acuda Bar --------- There's an M-Disk Reader here for saving, remember that bar patrons can be photographed for the animal album. Go up to the top floor and talk to Peepers at the booth. Give him the codeword with the dialogue option and you'll play a shell game. Watch the shells carefully and select the one that has the ticket inside. Enter the code on Door #3 and enter. Approach the cabinet and press X near it to slide to a hidden room. Iris Den -------- Approach the meeting table to start a cinematic. Then get the M-Disk from the booth in the room. Watch it on the M-Disk Player then head back to the Akuda Bar. Acuda Bar --------- Head back to the Pedestrian District. Pedestrian District ------------------- Go to the first floor, head past the Alpha Sections guards and on the left should be Ming-Tzu's Shop. Head inside, buy the Pearl first then the Pearl and Animal Detector. The latter two items will make hunting down Pearls and Animals VERY easy. Get both as quick as you can. If you have the cash, pick up a PA-1 too. Ming-Tzu's Shop --------------- You need 5 Pearls to move on If you have 3,999 Pedestrian District ------------------- Head back to the Hovercraft and back into the Main Canal. Main Canal ---------- Head south until you are back in Hillys. Hillys ------ Go to Mammago Garage just south of you. Mammago Garage -------------- Pay 5 Pearls for the Neutralizing Cannon to be installed, then leave the Garage. Hillys ------ A DomZ attack will commence, this is not a boss fight but more of a meteor shower. Meteors will land and if you pass over their field you will take damage. Avoid and turn north, there is a junction. Heading left takes you back into the Main Canal, while right is guarded by an Alpha Sections guard robot. Go to the right and hold X to charge the cannon, lock-on to the robot and release. It'll knock it out of the sky, move on. There are some cargo crates with Materia crystals. Grab them and take out the second guardbot at the end. Now, you want to go to the Factory so follow the compass (or map with the Select button) to find it. A third guardbot guards the entrance so use the Cannon on it. Head into the gate to enter the factory. =*=*=*=*=*=* 5.4. Factory =*=*=*=*=*=* Factory Entrance ---------------- Dock and climb up the pipes and ledge to the catwalk. Crochax are flying around so take them out for Materia Crystals and to keep them away. There is a door in this room with that barcode lock the Iris Network talked about. Take a picture of the red barcode screen and send it to the Governor. She'll decipher it and send the code to you: enter it to open the door. Then head into the room that's opened. Elevator Room ------------- Have Pey'J use the wrench on the chain-link fence and press Action to go through the fence. There are rats here, take a picture of on and kick them by getting close and pressing X. They can attack and take a heart of health so be careful. Approach the laser beams on the right and press Square while walking to forward roll over them. Press L2 to crouch under the second set and forward roll over the third. A switch is seen with a twin set of red bars above it. Press it to disable the laser beams and let Pey'J pass. Push the crate in here towards the little "ditch that is visible (so it aligns with the electric gate). Then push the crate straight forward towards the gate. Climb up it and run across to pass over the electric gate and into a large chamber. Save on the M-Disk Reader if need be. Turn around from the M-Disk reader and head to the opposite end of the room. Go through the door labelled "Laboratory". West Wing --------- From where you came, there's a doorway behind you beside the way you came in. Go throught it Laboratory ---------- To drop the electric gate, push the two large glass display tubes to either ends of the gate. There's a little alcove in the indented floor pattern to accomadate them. That'll drop the gate and allow you to move on. Take a picture of the worm on the dead cow's nose, that's an easy one to miss. Then take Pearl 19 from the locker. Head back to the West Wing. West Wing --------- Push the switch for the Service Elevator and you'll be attacked by spider drones. The trick is to wait until they fly towards you revealing their red underbellies. When they get close, hit them with your staff. If you don't they'll fly into you and cause damage. Once they are gone, get in the elevator and press triangle to get Pey'J to hit the switch. Once up, head down towards the electric gate. A spinning attack robot will attack you, position it so it's between you and the gate. Then hit it with your staff knocking it into the electric gate field. It'll blow up and drop the field. Head through the door to see Double H (hereby referred to as "HH" in a torture chamber. Take a picture of him and of the locker barcode screen. You'll get the code for the locker so enter it in. Get the Gyrodisc Launcher and use it to fire three discs at the green monster-thing at the top of the chamber. Watch the cinematic that follows, grab the Pearl that is revealed and then go to the iron bars at the far end of the room. Press Triangle to have HH head-butt them out of the way. Move on, shimmey across the ledge and jump the gap to another M-Disk Reader. Save because a boss is coming up. Head down the path back to the Elevator Room. Elevator Room ------------- Once here, head down and jump the gap to the catwalk. Climb up and turn right to watch a short cinematic. Boss: Reaper ------------ This monster holds Pey'J as a hostage, don't worry too much about him just concentrate on taking the monster down. Hit him over-and-over again with your staff first. He'll then leap to a high ledge and throw some green orbs. Before he does, fire a couple Gyrodiscs at his eye. He'll then leap back down to the catwalks. But be sure to avoid getting crushed by him as he lands. After landing, he has a green energy field protecting him. Don't attack until it's down, when it is repeat the staff attack. Repeat this whole pattern a few times until one time, the camera shows that the monster landed too close to the edge. Hit him to cause him to lose his balance and fall into the moat below. A Pearl is revealed, if you want it now then backtrack to your hovercraft in the Factory Entrance. Get into it and head down the tunnel opposite the dock. You are in the lower levels of the Elevator Room, a drone will automatically retrieve the Pearl. Now head back to the Elevator Room where you fought the Reaper. Elevator Room ------------- Go through the door named "Electrical Room" to get to the Electrical Closet. Electrical Closet ----------------- Time the wires so you pass when an electrical current isn't coursing between them and the wall. Once at the end, take a picture of the map on the wall and analyze it. Take some Starkos and K-Bup's from the vending machine if you are low after the Reaper. Otherwise, equip the Gyrodisc Launcer and fire some discs at the ceiling fan so the lone blade faces the other side. I'll carry electricity into the switch. Push said switch to open the door. Once inside head around the generator to a small alcove on the other end. Try to take the key and an angry Guardian drone will emerge. Now, walk back to an electric gate that's in this room. Have Pey'J slam down with the jet boots to stun the Guardian. Then use the staff to knock the robot into the electric gate field. Take the PA-1 that is in this room. Take the Triangular Key that the Guardian drops. Now you can push all switches with a Triangle on them. Try to push the triangular switch on the generator and a swarm of Guardians appear. Use the same technique as before, but knock one Guardian into another to take them out easier. Since they are an odd numbered group, you'll have to fight it with the staff. Don't attack when they are red because you'll take damage. Once they are gone, push the generator switch to turn it off. Quickly grab the fuse beside the switch and the second one on the other side of the generator before power is restored. Backtrack to the Elevator Room after this. Elevator Room ------------- Have Pey'J work on the gears on the elevator's left, then put the fuse into it's place on the right side. Connected to the fusebox is a cable, hit the coupling that attaches it to the roof with a Gyrodisc. This will bring power to the elevator. Press the switch to begin power, then press it again to lower the elevator. Ride it to the Upper Hall. Upper Hall ---------- Once out, Pey'J will give you an MDisk for reading later. Leave the elevator and go straight. Some DomZ will attack you, the same as at the very beginning of the game. Once they are gone, climb up the box on the southeast corner of the room. Climb up to the ledge and kick the fence in to reveal a vent. Go through. X-Ray Verification ------------------ Keep going down this catwalk high above the Alpha Sections, in the next area is an animal to take a picture of. I say this because it's easy to miss, go down to the walkway and away from the grate it's in. It'll appear after a while so approach it and take a picture. Head back to the Upper Hall. Upper Hall ---------- A cinematic takes over before you get here, after it ends push the large box towards the steel door that closed. Throw a Gyrodisc towards the switch on the right to open the door. Save on the MDisk Reader here and view the MDisk Pey'J gave you. Kick down the grate on the left to open a passageway, crouch walk under here to the Shipping Area Shipping Area ------------- Continue on and up the ladder, HH meets up with you and you exchange words. Continue on through the vents, the Alpha Sections guards will not see you so don't worry. Once out, shimmey the edge and pause when you get to the end of the wall. There are two Alpha Sections guards at the end of this room. Quietly move out from the wall and you'll see a picture of x-rays being projected on the far wall. Take a picture for the evidence that Iris needs. You'll see a ditch on the right, that's for hiding if you are spotted. They are scattered all over the Shipping Area, it's good to know where one is in case you need it. What you need to do is position yourself back behind that wall. Throw a Gyrodisc at the guard who is at the far door, hit the gastank on his back. Another guard will run to assist him, hit his gastank too. Quickly run up to both as they are too disoriented by the gas leak to notice you. Kick both of them in the back to send them flying out of your way. Proceed through the door. Go through the hallway and around the corner you'll see another AS guard looking away from you. Crouch down and walk slowly into that room, there's another guard patrolling on the other side of the barrier in this room. You don't have to attack, so don't. Walk to the end of the barrier, still crouching to avoid detection. When the patrolling guard turns around, quickly walk into the room on the right. Navigate the hallways, peek around every corner because the last one has a patrolling AS guard. Wait until he turns around, Gyrodisc his backpack and kick it to send him flying. Go through the hallways and you'll see HH in the next room. He needs to get past the flames, use the Gyrodisc to hit the switches right below the flames to drop them. Once he's past, walk up to the laser gate (save on the MDisk Reader if need) and press Triangle to get him to disable the lasers. Once past, he'll talk to you briefly then you may move on. Another hallway and in the next room is a AS guard. What you need to do is climb up the small ledge on the wall before the guard. Continue up until you reach the catwalk above him. Drop down behind him and quickly kick his gastank twice to get rid of him. Continue down until you get to a large room with blue laser beams on the side. There's a connecting space to the right with two AS guards. One is rotating 90 degrees every few seconds while one is standing still. What you need to do is position yourself in the corner before the room (with the two hiding ditches). Throw a Gyrodisc out towards the corner of that connecting space to draw them out. They'll go into alert for a bit, but then calm down. Hit the gastank of one with the gyrodisc and wait for the second guy to attend to him. Hit the second guy's gastank and then run up and kick both of them. After that, head into the space they were guarding and get the three items from the locker (PA-1, Set of PODs and Box of K-Bup's). Continue down into the next area. X-Ray Verification ------------------ There's a set of laser beams to your immediate right, press the switch to disable them. This will backtrack you to Upper Hall with an MDisk Reader if you need it. This part is a bit tricky, so press up against the pipe opposite the laser gate out of sight from the AS guard. The trick is to wait until a crate comes between you and the guard, so that he's blocked form your viewpoint. You have to be careful because this guard has a good peripheral vision and can see you from the side. Crouch down and get behind the box so the guard can't see you. Move with the box until you are past the guard's viewing range. Go down the passage on the right to reach a Closet. Closet ------ A ton of rats are in here, take them out and head into the connecting room to find a vending machine. Stock up on whatever health items you need and go to the cabinet on the opposite side. Open it and place a Starkos there, then quickly equip the camera and take a picture of the red insects that carry it off. Then head out of the closet via the exit. Nutripils Vat ------------- When you first enter this area, you'll see a large tank right ahead. Go around to the right side and press the switch. This will alert a AS guard so quickly head in the opposite direction. Go around the vat and into the hallway the AS guard was monitoring. Keep going until you get to a room with a conveyor belt. Open the locker here to get Pey'J's jet boots and a Starkos. There's an MDisk holder here, get the MDisk inside. Then continue on and you'll come across two robots. Knock one into the electric field ahead and the other one into the electric field in the area behind you. Go through the gate opposite the conveyor belt. Computer Room ------------- Get the MDisk in the holder, play both in the MDisk player and save the game. Then leave back to the Nutipils Vat room. Nutripils Vat ------------- Go past the other electric gate into the next area Routing ------- Go straight and jump/crouch under the blue lasers ahead. When you get to a bridge, press the switch and jump/crouch over the lasers on the bridge and go through the door before it closes. Continue on, press against the pipe and slide down to hide from the AS guard. He will walk back and forth on the platform above you. When he tooks away, quickly crouch-roll to the crawlspace under the platform. Go through, kick the mice and climb up to that platform. Crouch to hide from him, when he looks away hit his gastank and kick to to dispose of him. Walk into the blue energy field to be propelled to the next floor. Hide in a little alcove here and look out, hit the gastank of the AS guard. When his pal comes to his aid, run up and kick his. Then kick both of theirs a second time to dispose of them. Head through the door at the end to move on. Another conveyor belt room where you have to hide behind the moving box. Do so, do not attack any guards because they will see the Gyrodiscs. Once the box stops at the end, where the blue laser beams stop. Grab the edge of the box but DO NOT climb up. A crane will take the box and move it to another conveyor belt. Release when it does and walk down the tunnel to the next room. Control Room ------------ Jump over the blue lasers and crouch-walk under the electric field. Another MDisk player is here, save if you need. Then slide down the narrow ledge to see an AS guard without his helmet: you'll get the picture later. Launch a Gyrodisc onto the switch on the wall above ahead. This will send a platform over to you, get on and Gyrodisc the switch again. It'll bring you to the next platform (crouch to avoid the electric field). Go through the crawlspace on the right into another room. There's an AS guard here, what I find works is the following. Hide behind the table so you have the table between him and you. When he faces to the right side, move towards him from the left. Quickly kick his gastank twice to dispose of him. Then move on, you'll meet up with HH. Take the picture of the unmasked AS guard like he mentions and publish it. Then move into the crawlspace on the left to continue on. In the next room are two AS guards and a ramp leading up to them. Wait until both are walking away from you then fire a Gyrodisc at the gastank of one. When the other goes to attend to him, quickly run up and kick both gastanks until they go flying. Then move on to the next room. Pass into the next corridor and you'll see another AS guard patrolling. Use a Gyrodisc on his gastank. Then crouch/walk quickly over the blue lasers and kick him to send him flying. Then move through the door into the next room. You are on a rampway above the two AS guards, they can't see you from here so you're safe for now. What needs to be done is a Gyrodisc must be thrown at the gastank of the AS guard that is looking away from you. BUT this must be done while his pal isn't looking. The latter will tend to the former so run down and kick the gastank of both. Get the Square Key from the locker and use it to drop the red laser gate. Go through Routing ------- Use the Square Key on the door directly ahead and pass through. X-Ray Verification ------------------- An MDisk reader is to your immediate left, use it to save. Head towards the laser gate and push the switch to disable it. Kick the gastank of the AS guard ahead twice. Then take a picture of the red barcode screen, then input the code the Governor gives you. Head inside. Loading Dock ------------ Once inside, head straight a bit and use your camera. A short cinematic will follow and you'll face a boss. Boss: DomZ Robot ---------------- Avoid the laser beams the robot shoots and wait until HH shows up. This becomes a bit of teamwork. Press triangle to have HH run into the leg of the robot. At the same time, hit the other one with your staff. Then position Jade so she faces the pearl in the metal container. Fire a Gyrodisc into the container so it strikes the Pearl. Repeat this four times to defeat the boss. Be careful since it can stomp you and keep avoiding those laser beams it fires. Loading Dock ------------ Head down the hallway opened after beating the boss, grab the PA-1 on the counter and save on the MDisk Player. Then hit the switch and ride the elevator back up West Wing --------- Turn left and through the door, drop down off the catwalk like HH says. You should remember this place, head back to the Elevator Room. Elevator Room ------------- Head down to where you first entered this section. Jump on the crate and over the electric field gate. Continue on until you reach the Factory Entrance. Factory Entrance ---------------- Don't head back to your hovercraft yet, walk to the catwalk with the Crochax. Take them out and have HH ram the metal bars to reveal a power station. Grab the items out of the vending machine if you like and place that second fuse into the power booth. HH has breathing problems and needs to get to Iris in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Quickly head back to the Hovercraft and leave. Hillys ------ Head to the city, a robot will drop mines in the waterway ahead so avoid them and shoot it down. Just go straight to the Iris Den in the Akuda Bar, you know the way. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= 5.5. The Slaughterhouse =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= Iris Den -------- Take your reward of 5 Pearls (!) and leave the Den, HH will accompany you. Now, with two keys available and a lot of cash from the last mission a lot is open to you. You NEED 15 Pearls to move on, you should have enough already. If you don't, buy the Pearl Detector (if you don't have it) and hunt some down. You can buy some from Nouri and Ming-Tzu for a price. Either way, head to Mammago Garage. Mammago Garage -------------- Buy the Jump Kit and then leave. Hillys ----- Use the Jump Kit to leap over the laser gate blocking access to the south sea. Head straight to the Slaughterhouse Races indicated on your compass. Slaughterhouse Races -------------------- Follow the tunnels to Race 3 and get set. The trick is to find the pathway that will lead you to the Slaughterhouse. The track isn't that big so it isn't very hard to find. It's about half-way down the track, on the left wall just after a boost strip. It's a tunnel guarded by some laser beams, jump over them to head to Slaughterhouse Road. Slaughterhouse Road ------------------- Turn right and hit the boost, jump over gaps in the road and dodge the walker and the laser beams it fires. If you fall off the track for whatever reason, keep moving. There will be an on-ramp back onto the road eventually no matter where you are. Once at the end you'll arrive at the Slaughterhouse Quarter. Slaughterhouse Quarter ---------------------- Drop down into the lake ahead, a mine-dropper robot is above head. First, note the cavern directly behind you. There is a bumper mine in here as well. What you need to do is drive under the mine-dropper's searchlight. It will drop a homing mine. Hit the boost and race down that tunnel I mentioned before and lure the homing mine into the bumper mine. Now, repeat the same process by go completely through the tunnel into the next pool. There is a bumper mine blocking another tunnel, drive the homing mine into it. Then head through until you get to a dock. Pick up items you may need from the vending machine (I stocked up on Pods since I used up a few) and save on the MDisk Player. Go up to the gate and some Sarco DomZ will attack, take them out then push one of the gate doors open. HH will push the other opening a passageway. Now, get back into your hovercraft and jump up onto the ledge and through the now-open passageway. Exterior Moats -------------- In this room are some laser turrets, carefully maneover past them making sure to drive below the high laser beams. Once out, you'll be in a pool with some mines. Lock-on them and fire to destroy them. Go to the very end and go up the ramp on the right. Once at the top, go right and keep heading in that direction until you reach the end. At the end, turn left and go through the tunnel into a pipe. Destroy the mines at the end then jump down to another pool. There is a metal box floating in this pool and a passageway guarded by three bumper mines. Shoot the box into the first mine to detonate it. Face away from the mined passageway, the tunnel on the left leads back to the Slaughterhouse Races (just a note). Directly ahead are two tunnels, go through either one as they both lead into the same area. Turn right and at the end go through the middle tunnel. You'll be on the 2nd Floor with the second metal box in front of you. Shoot it to bring it down a floor and shoot it into the second mine. Head back up to where that second metal box was but wait. Carefully turn right and move across the catwalk. Jump the bridge sections and shoot the third metal box down. Then shoot it into the third bumper mine and head into the tunnel. Lock-on to the two mines to destroy them. Head to the end of the tunnel. Slaughterhouse Entrance ----------------------- Keep going on until you reach a large gate and a dock, dock here and go into first-person. Up on the opposite side of the moat is a control booth. Throw a Gyrodisc into the switch up there to open the gate. Get back into your hovercraft and go through. Take a picture of the red barcode screen if you like, you won't get the code but you can still take a picture. Continue straight on. Surveillance Room ----------------- When you get to a large gate, dock beside it. Head down the dock and climb up the ledges. Shimmey around the pipe, HH cannot follow you, so climb up the ledges at the end until you get to the top. A Surveillance Robot will attack, throw Gyrodiscs at it's gastanks when it isn't firing. It'll go down so take the Material Crystals it drops. Take some items out of the vending machine to stock up. Head onto the courtyard, crouching to avoid the lasers and onto the opposite side. Save on the MDisk Reader if you need, now take note of the switch here. Head back to the ledge with the vending machine and go into first person. Fire a Gyrodisc at the switch to open the large gate beside it. Run to the hovercraft and go under the gate before it closes. Then dock and go up the walkway. Go to the courtyard with the laser turrets and press Triangle to have HH ram them. Then head through the doorway above to the next room. Trolley Entrance ---------------- Take a picture of the map, push the crate under the passageway above. Jump up and then go through the passageway. Take the Set of Pods and the Meca Impulser from the cabinet. Backtrack to the Hovercraft. Surveillance Room ----------------- Head down the tunnel to the next area. Interior Moats -------------- Keep going straight until you reach the end, avoid the spotlights of the mine dropping robots. When you get to the very end, turn around and you'll see some bumper mines blocking a passage. Knock a metal crate into one and head inside. You will take some damage doing this, but shoot and boost down the passage until you get to the end. Dock and take the items out of the vending machine. Then head through the passageway. East Wing --------- Press Triangle to have HH ram the bars and the AS guard. Head inside and kick the gastank of the guard. You'll see an MDisk Player guarded by an electric field. Press X by the electric box to disable it temporarily, save and then have HH ram it to get out. Head to the opposite end of the room from here and climb up the ladder to the ledge. Kick down the grate and go through the vent. Kick down the other grate and drop down. Head down to the left and watch the brief cutscene. Shoot a Gyrodisc at the AS Guard's back when he is turned. Run up and kick him then press the switch he was guarding. Run through the door that opens before it shuts. Head down the corridor, there's a cabinet on the left with two Boosts. Go up the ramp and onto the catwalk. This part is a bit tricky, so I'll explain it carefully. There is a laser turret here that will kill you in one shot if you are spotted: stealth is a must. Walk down to the end and grapple the edge of the catwalk, wait until the guard at the far end turns away. Drop down and quickly head towards the screen away from him while he is still turned. Go down the ramp and wait until the two guards here are turned then crouch-walk to the first glass tube. One guard will stay at the laser gate while the other walks around. Wait until the walking guard is turned away and the stationary guard has his view blocked. Crouch-walk to the second glass tube on the right but go onto the right side of it. Again, wait until both guards are not looking in your direction then head to the metal box past the second glass tube. Hide behind the right side of it, when both guards are looking away crouch-walk through the laser gate. Go straight on and through the door. Go down the right passageway and push the crate onto the elevator. Press the switch to descend it. Kick the electric box and grab the fuse before power is restored. Jump up onto the crate and then jump back onto the upper level. Now, run onto the blue field to ride up a level. Now, this part is a bit tricky so I'll explain it. There are two guards in here, one rotating guard who turns 180 degrees every few seconds and a patrolling one. Walk ahead just a bit and face directly ahead. When the patrolling guard turns away from you from this viewpoint, Gyrodisc his gastank. When the rotating guard goes to help him, do the same to him. Kick both gastanks and then head into the connecting room they were guarding. A Pearl and MDisk Reader are in here. Head through the door into the next area. Take out the AS guard here the usual way, then move into the next corridor. Disable the laser beams with the switch and put the fuse in the fusebox ahead. Press the switch on the left that turns on to "open" the panel. Crawl through and turn right, you'll see a crane dropping boxes in front of you. Grapple that box and ride it to the conveyor belt, let go. Drop down into the ditch and crawl through the space on the left. At the end are Materia Crystal boxes and a cabinet with a PA-1. Backtrack to that ditch and disable the laser beams at the end with the switch. Crawl through the pipe back up. Turn right and through the doors into the next area. Go through the only door in this corridor (the other ways are blocked with blue laser beams). Disable the electric field with a kick and drop down and you'll meet up with HH. Navigate carefully through the minefield and through to the next room. You'll be attacked by Trilobites, what I find works is wait until they finish pouncing then attack then afterwards. Of course, having HH pound the ground to stun them doesn't hurt. Afterwards, climb up the ledges to the electric field. Have HH press the switch to disable it and continue up. In the next room are three AS guards, two are stationary and one patrolling. Position yourself behind the little console in the middle. When the patrolling guard turns around, crouch-walk behind him then duck into the dark corner on the left. When he turns around and passes you, crouch-walk through the doorway on the left and through the passage. Central Hall ------------ You'll see an AS guard on a platform, shoot his gastank to knock him off. Then disable the laser gate and move on, take the items out of the vending machine and break the Materia Crystal boxes. Move on and you'll see the same situation as before, same thing: hit the AS guard's gastank and disable the laser gate. Move on and around the corner you'll see an extended platform with two AS guards. Hide around the corner and throw a Gyrodisc through the crack onto the gastank of the AS guard ahead. When his friend goes to help him, do the same to him. Run and kick both of them then take the Fuse from the fusebox. Take a Picture of the DomZ Sarcophagi across the room for your first Iris Report. Then turn around and you'll see a red laser gate. Put the Fuse in the fusebox beside it, press the switch to open a panel and crawl through. Get the Materia Crystals from the boxes then hit the switch to lower the other laser gate. Use the switch past to get back to the beginning of the East Wing. East Wing --------- Save at the MDisk Reader, if you need, then backtrack ALL the way back to the Surveillance Area and dock there. Surveillance Area ----------------- Once docked, head up the ramp to the switch that opened the large gate earlier. Run to the large pipe structure in the corner and climb up the sections of the pipe. Once up, jump to the shack that has the switch and then onto the gate itself. Have HH press the switch and ride the gate upwards. Then jump to the ledge once it's stopped, head to the end and drop down. Jump into the circular hole up here. Trolley Entrance ---------------- There's a robot in here, hit it into the electric field gate. Go through the passage revealed and backtrack to HH to regroup with him. Head back to this room and have him smash the bars. This will alert an AS guard, have HH attack him and then kick his gastank. Press the trolley switch and get in when it arrives. Wait for HH to board and then press the square switch to get it moving. Central Hall ------------ At the end, take items out of the vending machine. Move onto the next room and some more robots will attack. Have HH pound the round and press X to slow-mo hit them into the electric fields (there are three for each robots). There is an MDisk Reader and Pearl in one room and a Square Switch opens a door on the other side. Grab the Triangular Key they drop as well and give it to HH. Now, press the switch in coordinations with Double H. Then head into the corridors, press Triangle to have HH run through the lasers. He'll hit the switch which will turn off the laser temporarily so you can roll past. You have to do this two more times with the same strategy but may have to roll and jump. At the end is a large chamber with two AS guards, if you are quick you can Gyrodisc both their gastanks. Kick them afterwards then take a picture of the Tortured Human through the massive window for Photo #2. Take the items out of the locker as well then backtrack to the Surveillance Room. Surveillance Room ----------------- Get into your Hovercraft and move on to the Interior Moat. When you arrive at the junction, turn right and jump over the blockage. Then turn a hard left and ahead you'll see a bone-like ramp heading up (the camera angle also changes). Boost up it to the top platform and dock. Then head through the doorway. North Wing ---------- Save at the MDisk Reader first off, then shimmey down the pipe on the far end of this room. Then head through the door, you'll see an two electric fields over a gap. Hit the switch on the very end with a Gyrodisc to bring the platform over, shocking the AS guard that rides it. This particular guard doesn't have a gastank, it's a new enemy you will come across often. Now, get on the platform and hit the switch with the same method. Then roll over the first electric field and crouch under the second. Now, move through the corridor and you'll see another one-hit kill laser turret. Crouch into the mist at the bottom of this room. As long as you stay in this mist you will NOT be detected (just don't test this by doing dumb stuff because those turrets are there). Move to the end of this mist ditch but stay in. There are four AS guards here, three with gastanks and one without. The trick is to hit the three gastank guards with Gyrodiscs from the ditch. The fourth guy, when he looks away, roll through to the end of the room. He will be too busy attending to his friends to notice you, so just roll through the ditches out. On the right is a passageway with blue laser beams. Note it but first kick the power box to the left side of this passage. Go through quickly and grab the fuse at the end. Go back to the powerbox and put the fuse in the fusebox beside it. Press the switch to lower to elevator and get in. Once at the top, you will be in a large open area with two electric fields and two robots. Knock them into both electric fields. Now, there is a catwalk with a Materia Crystal box on the left and a door leading to a crawlspace on the right. Go through that door and sneak past the AS guards and the mines to the end. Grab the items here including the PA-1. Then head back to that big open area, grab the items from the cabinet and then head through the newly opened passage. Turn right at the junction and dodge the mines. In the next room you'll see another one-hit kill laser turret and patrolling guards. What you need to do is hide behind the structure until the first patrolling guard turns away from you and walks away. Follow behind him, when he stops roll into the crawlspace dead ahead. Inside you'll find some items and a Pearl. Afterwards, disable the laser gate and go back through the crawlspace. Now, wait until both patrolling guards are looking AWAY from you then RUN to the left and through the laser gate before they can react. Then duck into the room on the left to find an MDisk Reader. In this room, push the box aside to reveal a crawlspace. By the conveyor belt in this room is a power box, kick it then go through said crawlspace. In the next room, dodge the mines and lasers and grab the fuse. Go back to the previous room and leave into the hallway. Turn left and go straight on to the elevator. Use the triangle switch to ride it down. In the next room you'll see a ramp leading up to an AS guarded doorway. Up there is a PA-1 and some Material Crystal boxes, dispose of him and run up there to grab them. Afterwards, go through the door at the bottom of the ramp. You'll be in a room with blue lasers on the far end and a crawlspace on the right. Go through and you'll be in a room with a non-gastank AS guard and a moving platform. You'll see a switch above that platform so fire a Gyrodisc at it when the AS guard is on. The platform will move under an electric gate which will kill the guard. Get on the platform and repeat the Gyrodisc trick to ride over to the other end. In the next room are three AS guards, hit each of their gastanks to disorient them. Do this by hitting one, run then wait until the alert dies and run back. Hit the AS guard who is attending to someone and run, then hit the third guy's gastank when he attends to one. The reason for taking them out is the room is too small and there are too many guards to sneak past. Once in the hallway past this room, place the fuse in the fusebox and crawl under the door. You'll meet up with HH past the door. Save on the MDisk reader then head through the corridor ahead. Central Hall ------------ OK, first climb up the ledge and drop down. Sneak up to the AS guard straight ahead (ignore the two on the left ramp). Gyrodisc his gastank and then kick him. Press Triangle to have HH distract the other two AS guards then run up the ramp on your immediate left. Take a picture of the containers through the window. Then run back to the North Wing. North Wing ---------- Disable the laser gate and then go through, backtrack to your hovercraft from here. Interior Moats -------------- Go back to the Surveillance Room, dock there and open the large gate via the switch. Go back to the hovercraft and drive back to the Slaughterhouse Entrance. Slaughterhouse Entrance ----------------------- Dock at the large gate, if you already took a picture of the red barcode screen then you have the code. If not, take a picture and the Governor will send it. Enter it in and race back to the Exterior Moats. Exterior Moats -------------- Shoot the two mines and drive into the next room, on the left is a tunnel that leads back to the Slaughterhouse Races. Slaughterhouse Races -------------------- Leave for Hillys. Hillys ------ A DomZ Sea Serpent will attack, kill him like you killed the first one earlier in the game. Do this by boosting and locking onto him to destroy him. He'll drop a Pearl, afterwards head to the Iris Den in the Pedestrian District. Iris Den -------- Enter and watch the cutscene, you'll get a Star Key during this cinematic. Afterwards, head to the Pedestrian District. =*=*=*=*=*=*= 5.6. The Moon =*=*=*=*=*=*= Pedestrian District ------------------- Go to the 1st Floor, beside Ming-Tzu's shop is a laser grid with a Star Key switch beside it. Press it and continue on. Alpha Sections HQ ----------------- Enter the elevator and have HH press the switch to ride it up. Now, stealth is a necessity here so be careful. Move on and crouch under the
bridge then shimmey down to the end. Carefully move around the AS guard and then climb up the ledge around the corner. Hide behind this corner until the patrolling AS guard turns around and head in the opposite direction. Carefully follow him then hide in the alcove on the right when he stops. When he passes continue on and climb up the ledge. Turn around and you'll see another ledge. But wait until the AS guard up here turns around and heads off. Climb up and quickly crouch-walk under the pipes dead ahead. Wait until the second AS guard turns around and walks off then crouch-walk past him. Work around the behind of the third guard and climb up the ledge to the narrow walkway. Head to the corner and stop, you'll see two AS guards on the platform ahead. Wait until the rotating one looks in the other direction then run towards that platform. Jade will jump and cling to the edge, wait until the rotating AS guard is looking away again. Sneak behind the two and climb up the ledges at the end. Shimmey to the right past the two windows when the AS guard inside isn't looking. Move around the corner, minding the windows to avoid detection. You can head inside this room at the end, but quickly press the switch on the right and go through the door. East District ------------- Grab the Pearls in this room, save on the MDisk player. Go into the next room and roll over the pipe. The next bit is a chase sequence, run towards the screen avoiding the hazards like pipes (roll over these) and ruined floor sections (run around these). You'll have to jump over to certain parts which Jade will do automatically. Jump to HH at the end to finish this part and watch a cinematic. Pedestrian District ------------------- Backtrack all the way to the Lighthouse, specifically the Hangar where you dock the hovercraft. Hangar ------ Dock and go up to the platform and turn right. You'll see a diagram on the wall (similar to the one in the For Jade MDisk). Press X to slide it aside and you'll see a computer console. Quickly press pause, then access the SAC and select Pey'J's jetboots. Examine them with the right analog stick to see two codes on the soles. One of them is for this console, it is really trial-and-error so pick one. If that one isn't it, then it is the other. Once you enter the code in, there's another console that needs a code. Go towards The Lighthouse The Lighthouse -------------- Go to the 3rd Floor of the lighthouse, opposite the dog that rests in the alcove is another diagram (exact to the one you found in the Hangar). Repeat the process to enter the code in (slide diagram aside, check jetboots and enter code in). Once that is all over, head back to the Hangar. Hangar ------ There's a glowing red button on the first console you used, press it to open the Beluga hold. Go towards it and take the MDisk 7 (Beluga Check-Up) and first Flight Stabilizer from the counter. You need some parts from Mammago Garage to get the thing airborne. You will need 50 Pearls for both the second Flight Stabilizer and the Space Engine. So consult the Pearl collection part of the FAQ for information. Also, this is a good a time as any to get the Pearl Detector from Ming-Tzu's Shop if you haven't already. Mammago Garage -------------- After getting 50 Pearls, buy the Flight Stabilizer from the garage. Then once you leave the Lighthouse is under attack! Go back to it and dock, then go all the way to the top. You'll watch the most emotional cutscene of the game thus far. There's a Box of K-Bups up here. Afterwards, head to the Hangar. Hangar ------ Place both Flight Stabilizers in the two engines (the only parts of the Beluga touching the ground). Hop inside and you'll be airborne. Pick up the Hovercraft and then you will face another DomZ Sea Serpent. Take him down in three-dimensions this time instead of two. Take the Pearl afterwards and head to Mammago Garage (land the Beluga on top). Mammago Garage -------------- Buy the Space Engine and leave. Hillys ------ Drive up towards the sky then hit circle to boost into outer space. Take a picture of the space whale here then fly straight to The Moon. Selene ------ See that antenna straight ahead? Fly to it and HH will point out the entrance to you. Fly inside. Transmitter Entrance -------------------- Save at the MDisk Reader and grab some items (including the PA-1) from the vending machine. Both machines are right beside the Beluga. Go through the door beside the MDisk Player. Step on one of the panels on the elevator and HH will step on the other. Ride the elevator down. DomZ Base --------- Go straight on, at the far end on the left side is a Mirror for you to pick up. Place it on the holder opposite the place you found it. Then go to the totem that is projecting the laser. Position it so it hits the totem you put the mirror on. Now, position that totem so it goes towards the elevator you rode down. There's a crystal to be hit in that area, once it is then backtrack and get the Mirror. Run back to that second totem and position it so it hits the crystals directly opposite you. Move on through the two doors and place the Mirror in the holder. Position the laser so it strikes the crystal to the right for a Materia Crystal deposit. The position it the opposite way. You have to move these mirrors by throwing Gyrodiscs at their fins. Position the first mirror so it hits the mirror positioned directly across from the Cloister door. Then position that second mirror so it goes directly through the crystal above the door, down the corridor. Ignore the third mirror and head down that doorway. Cloister -------- At the end you'll find Pey'J trapped in a crystal. To free him, turn the totems so they hit every crystal on the outer perimeter of the structure. Then go back to the totem that accepts the laser from the corridor, turn it so it hits one of the crystals on the second permeter. This one will drop so repeat the process to drop the third perimeter. Then watch the cutscene and save at the MDisk Reader. Head back to the DomZ Base and an automatic cutscene will begin. At the end of it, head back to the area where Pey'J was held captive. Slip through the crack in the door beside the MDisk Player. Head up the blue energy beam to the top. There are two AS guards on the platform to the right. Fire Gyrodiscs at both of them, then head down and kick them. Ride the blue energy beam here down a level. Go through the door on the right side of the chamber. The Great Crypt --------------- Head to the blue energy beam ahead, ride down. Go down the walkway and take the right beam. Then on this level take the right beam as well. Take the next beam straight ahead up. At this level take the right beam down, then finally take the green beam to the bottom. Head through the door. Watch the brief cutscene and take a picture of the meeting. Head back and take the green beam up. Take the blue beam at the far end, then the first beam on the left. At the T-intersection at the top, turn left and take the dark blue beam up. Return to the Cloister and backtrack to the Transmitter Entrance. Transmitter Entrance -------------------- On the right side you'll see a switch for pressing. Instead, climb up the ledge here and navigate the rest of them to the top. Cling to the crate up here and have HH press the switch. Ride the crate to the Beluga and drop down. On the far end you'll see another crate and a switch under it, fire a Gyrodisc at that switch to bring the crate over. Now, quickly fire another Gyrodisc at the switch and quickly cling to the crate before it hits. You'll carry over to the other end. Now, on the opposite end is a cog that needs turning. Press Action by it to do so and allow Pey'J and HH to join you. Walk onto one of the circular discs and press triangle to get Pey'j and HH to step on the other two. A turret guards the next corridor. Run straight and roll to dodge the projectiles. Hop in the train car at the end. Radio Transmitter Room ---------------------- Save at the MDisk Player, then take a picture of the red barcode to get the code to the Transmitter. Enter it in and watch the cutscenes, then quickly backtrack to the Beluga before the Transmitter self-destructs. Selene ------ Boss: Alpha Sections Spider You'll be pulled along in a tractor beam, lock-onto the red lights on the back of the machine. Fire lock-on shots to destroy them. He has varied attacks. He can fire a powerful blast from the back, avoid this and hit the red light in the middle between shots. He can launch mines, just dodge these and hit the respective red lights. His final attack is an electric web between his wings. Fly around the wings to hit the red lights. He will mix these attacks up and fire them in combos. Just keep hitting the red lights to gradually bring him down. After he crashes, launch the hovercraft and destroy the bumper mines in front of the entrance to the Spider. Do this by shooting crates towards them or guide homing mines towards them. Once inside, dock and save at the MDisk Player. Attack the three AS guards in the next room by having HH attack them and hit their gastanks afterwards. Go into the next room and ride the blue beam up. Watch the short cutscene and press the switch to drop the tractor beam. Head back to the Hovercraft and dock it to the Beluga. Fly to the shield around DomZ base and you'll be attacked by AS ships. Engage them for a while then Hillian Army reinforcements will show up, fly to the landing strip that HH points out and land. Once there, turn right from leaving the ship and head to the elevator HH points out. Get everyone on position and take it down. The Great Crypt --------------- Watch the revealing cutscene and get ready for battle Boss: DomZ Priest He'll first launch some Sarco Domz at you, take them all out. Then the Domz Priest thing will come to attack. Fire Gyrodiscs at him then he'll retreat and hide behind Material Crystal shards. He'll send out phantom Pey'J's. Have HH slam the ground with Triangle and slo-mo knock the Pey'Js into the crystals. When you get a shot, fire a Pey'J at the DomZ Priest. Then he'll take HH hostage. He'll then raise the water and the DomZ Priest will teleport around you. Strike him in each direction he appears, when he teleports above you, sidestep him. When he goes to lunge, hit him with your staff. Once this is over, he'll receed the waters. Some phantom HH will then appear with more Sarco DomZ. Wait until the HH imposters strike then hit them once to defeat them. The Domz Priest will also fire lasers which can damage the enemies as well as you. Once that is over, he will distort the screen. The controls are now reversed (right is left, left is right, up is down and down is up). Some Sarcos will be summoned, if one is to the right then strike to the left with the controller to hit it. He will then raise the waters again. The same thing with the teleporting DomZ Priest, but in opposite directions. So hit the D-Pad buttons in the opposite direction to target where the DomZ Priest is. Once he is defeated, that's it: The End. Watch the cutscenes and you'll see a set-up to a sequel that may never come. *THE END* _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ 6. Final Thoughts _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ Even though it was short and a little too Zelda-like at parts, BG&E more than made it up with story. A compelling tale that really picked up steam at the end and made me care during key parts. The gameplay was a very refreshing take on Zelda-like adventure gameplay. The stealth sections I honestly think the Zelda crew needs to take hints on (Forsaken Fortress in The Wind Waker was just too unforgiving and confusing). It is epic, cinematic and a refreshing break from the onslaught of slapped-together filler genres we get hit with every year. Forget Ico, this is the underrated masterpiece of this generation. _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- 7. Michel Ancel is a wonderful director and it's a damn shame this title did so poorly at retail. I can only hope the success of King Kong will allow Ancel to get the funding for Beyond Good & Evil 2. It would be a shame if this name lingered in bargain bins for the next few years.
