  1. The concrete shot will freeze each of the lava jets so that you can walk on them. Alternatively, if you're really quick you could potentially use the rush coil, but there is no room for error if you go that route.

  1. Like how you went across the screen with the single horizontal lava jet, the Concrete shot.

It will take some tricky timing however, just so you know.

  2. If you plan to use the Rush coil method here's a tip. While going up the ladder to the platform aim right and shoot the coil. Rush will end up on the platform. Be quick and use him to jump up to the ladder on the far left. Switch out to rush Jet and get low on the ladder. Shoot the jet off to the left, and then jump on rush. Take him to the left and jump onto the upper most left lava tube. Then simply us Rush Jet to cross to the right most ladder. That's how I did it anyway. Mainly because I didn't know the concrete froze the lava.

  3. i have a different route- on the first screen (with the one) i used the rush coil to leap up to the ladder.

the second screen requires some speed- as soon as you climb up next to the bottom lava jet, jump on top of it, then immediately fire the rush jet and hop on as fast as you can. as soon as you do, hold the up button and jump up to the third ladder. you will just make it. also, if you want to go to the first ladder to the left (the one that leads to the E-Tank), just climb down and jump on the topmost jet you can land on and do the same- fire the rush jet and push up (careful not to inadvertently climb the wrong ladder).

  4. The best answer for this is the Concrete Shot as the lava is coming, shoot it on it to create a five second stepping stool. Use this to climb up and proceed without any damage taken, or unrequired stress added

  5. If you want to do the rush coil+rush jet method even faster, call rush coil on the left side of the ladder as your climbing up and jump on it as soon as possible. Then just as it springs you upward, switch to Tornado Blow (might need to recharge it at the respawning enemy area before since you use it so much at the start of the level) and use it and it will boost you to above the upper most lava shooter which you can then land on and rush coil to the rightmost ladder.

  6. That last rush coil should be rush jet

  7. This can be done without the concrete shot.

have the rush coil selected before entering the room. Upon entering, immediately use the rush coil and bounce to the top left laddder. You'll just barely beat the first lava tube.
Go up to the next screen, face right at the top of the ladder, and go back down to the lava room. Hang from the ladder until you're just about to fall off, and use the rush jet. Ride it to the other side of the room. This trick may be helpful if you're going for the conservationalist challenge.

  8. I generally use Concrete Shot, like you are *cough* supposed to do.

Immediately upon entering the room with three jets, run right and go to the lower platform. After you land there, wait for the lava to pass overhead, then jump over to the far right area. (Don't worry about jumping into the middle jet; your jump's peak will be just below it, if very close.) Then, turn left, and fire Concrete Shot when the lava comes back. Jump on the now-frozen lava and turn right. You should be used to the timing in which the lava will come out. As it's coming out, fire Concrete Shot, and you'll have a (very short) pillar of frozen lava. Hop onto it, and onto the lava generator. Hit the last jet with a third Concrete Shot. At this point, you'll have options:

If you don't need an E-Tank, jump to the rightmost ladder, head up, and if you keep moving and DON'T STOP you can ignore the last lava jet. Continue onward. The level's almost over.

If you want an E-Tank, then run to the leftmost ladder, jump to it, and move up. Immediately jump up to the next ladder; you should be able to ignore the lava jet in this room. When you reach the top, use Rush Jet to move to the left ladder. Head up, and pierce the blocks with a Laser Trident. Get the E-Tank, then head back down a screen. Hold right as you drop from the ladder; I don't recall if you have to time this to avoid the lava jet, but if you don't think you can make it, be careful. Go down another screen, and use Rush Jet again to get to the ladder on the far right. Continue onward, the level's almost over.

From there, all you have to do is beat one of the big shield-holding robots (like in the first part of the level after the birds that drop rocks on you) and then beat a strange boss, but that can be found in the FAQs.

  9. Fastest method:

1.On the first screen, quickly use rush coil to jump to the leftmost ladder before any of the 3 lava jets fire.
2.Stay on that ladder until the 3rd (topmost) jet fires
3.Switch to Concrete Shot and shoot the 3rd jet after it fully fires
4.Drop down on the jet, and walk over to the 3rd (rightmost) ladder

  10. You do not even need to use the Rush Jet. The room can be completed with only the Rush Coil. As soon as you come up the ladder from the room below, use the Rush Coil to the right and jump for the second ladder from the right. I never have any problems reaching it.
