  1. This game is amazingly long. In order to fight Bowser, the final boss, you only need 60 stars. But in order to beat the entire game, you have to get all 120 stars Mario, fight Bowser again, unlock Luigi, and start the whole process over again. Then you have to go back as Mario (and later Luigi too) and get the 121st star in the Grand Finale Galaxy. As for people who think they will only have to fight Bowser once as each character, that is impossible, as a comet star that appears in every galaxy (the Purple Coin Comet) cannot be accessed until after you fight Bowser after you collect 60 stars.

  1. This game is REALLY long if you want to completely beat it. You need 60 star to beat Bowser, which won't take too long. Then, you need to get another 60 stars, raising you total to 120 stars, and then beat Bowser again to unlock Luigi. After that, you do the same thing with Luigi, and you will unlock the Grand Finale Galaxy. Beat that level with Mario and Luigi, and then you're done with the game.

  2. The game *requires* at least 60 stars in order to beat the main game. There are 120 stars in all. After you get all 120 stars, you unlock Luigi, and can play through the game as him.

Luigi handles similar to the way he did in Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels. He jumps a bit higher, but his traction isn't quite up to par. After you get all 120 stars as Luigi, a special galaxy is unlocked for one more star as both Mario and Luigi.

So in all, the game has 242 total stars to collect, but only 60 are needed to technically beat the game as Mario.

Too 100% beat the game, you're looking at anywhere between 50-55 hours your first time through. It's pretty beefy.

  3. Yes, this game is considerably long. You need to collect 60 stars first in order to actually beat the game. Afterwards, there are 60 more stars for a total of 120. THAT'S only for Mario! Once you collect 120, you can play the game as Luigi, and collect ANOTHER 120 stars. So, yes, this game is long.

  4. Considering the fact that there are 120 stars to unlock, I would say yes this game is long. But for more expirienced players who whip through galaxies, the game isn't long.

  6. To simply beat the game it's not terribly long. If you want to get 100% completion, it does take considerably longer. :)

  7. yes, and no. If you were to only get 60 stars and beat the final boss, that would only take 11 or so hours. However, If you want to get all the stars, It would take 25 hours. *SPOILERS* If you were to get all 120 stars as luigi, it would take the good part of 60 hours.

  8. Ir depends on how far you want to go. If ou want to finish fast in a short time and only get 60 stars it will be kina short. If you go for all 121 with both mario and weegee then its a fairly long game which you will be playing as much as brawl if not more. An exact time though well again that depends if you want to enjoy this game slowly or if you want to speed through this game the results will vary
