December 30 Night Time

Once you have regained control, there be a ton of side activities you need to do first. Go to Trista, near the entrance of the Upper Class Dorm, speak to Lotte and she will teach you the Tomato Pot recipe. Then go back to Thors and enter the school library. Speak to the Librarian Carol, she will give you the Finale of Gambler Jack II. If you have collected all chapters of Gambler Jack II, head to Kirsche's Cafe & Inn and speak to Vice Principal Heinrich, he will give you a Zemurian Ore. This will allow you to forge the strongest weapon in the game. Then speak to him again to update his profile. There are also two fishing spots in Trista, one is the pond at the north end of the school, the other is the river at the northeast of town. Then head to the house located northeast of Trista and examine the bookshelf. You will get the Fiery Colour for your bike. Speak to all the NPCs listed below to update their character profiles (There is a lot!) After you have spoken to all of them, you should speak to Alfin at the principal office to get the Medal of Love if you haven't received it yet. Afterwards, take the west exit of Trista to see an event. Then speak to Towa at the school rooftop. Then read the Chosen Partner Event section just below this guide.

December 31st

Rean will learn his final S-Craft. Then read all the side quests from the computer terminal. Move to the 1st floor and speak to George, you can use that Zemurian Ore to craft the strongest weapon in the game.

Nightmare Recommendations
Give the Zemurian Ore weapons to Rean and Laura. These two are crucial for the Cancelling strategy to go faster (especially Laura's).

Now there will be a ton of side activities you need to do before you start the main story. Update everyone's character profile listed below.

At this point in the game, you should have collected all the recipes. Try to cook every type of supreme, unique and peculiar dishes. Then give all supreme dishes to Monica at the 2nd lfoor Cafeteria. When you give her all 22 supreme dishes, she will give you the Impenetrable Shield quartz. Then speak Margarita and give her all peculiar dishes, she will give you the Confuse quartz. Then go to the 3rd floor and speak to Bridget and give her every type of Unique dishes, she will give you the Revolution quartz. If you have discovered all 22 recipes, speak to Ferris at the leisure room (Courageous 2F), she will give you the Genesis master quartz.

If this is your second playthrough and collected all the Black Records books, speak to Instructor Thomas at the Book Room (2F) and give him all the Black Records. You will get a trophy for later. Then head to Ymir and speak to Rean's father at the Baron's Mansion, this will also unlock an optional dungeon called the Glacia Shrine located in the very west end of Ymir Canyon 1. Defeating the boss in this optional dungeon will give you an accessory that gives a permanent 10 CP Regeneration and a Critical Up status effect and also The Frost Hunter trophy.

After this, the first thing you need to do is finish all the training module inside Courageous. Clearing all 5 stages of each training module will give you a master quartz.

Tackle Sword and shooting using Fie as an evasion tank. Arts is easy with Emma if you equipped her with the Mirage Quartz. Using quartz like Crescent Mirror, Claiomh Solarion, and a Mirage Bell or a level 5 Mirage Master quartz. Use Overdrive to instantly cast arts making it a complete cakewalk.

Speak to Towa, she should give you the Emblem Master Quartz for recruiting all students for Courageous. Then head to Ymir, if you have catch the 23 different types of fishes, speak to Annabelle at Ymir Canyon for an event. This will let you catch the last fish, Arch Tyrant. Catching the final fish will let you purchase the Aeolus Gem from her.

There is also a new course added to the snowboarding mini game. Clearing it will give you the Skanda Gem. Then return to Courageous and speak to Kenneth at the Cafeteria, he will give you the Orochi Master quartz if you caught the Arch Tyrant from earlier. You can also purchase the Sennin Gem from him.

After you have finished that, work on the side quests. Completing each quest will give you a Zemurian Ore Shard, which means you can get another ultimate weapon when finishing all side quests.

This boss has the lowest amount of HP out of the four side quest bosses. However, it does have the strongest attack, it has a Thunder wave which can deal massive damage to your group and also have a chance of muting one of your party members. This boss is also very weak against mute as well. You can disable most of its attack by silencing it. The Canceler build work great on this boss. Due to the boss' low HP, a full party S-Craft can instantly wipe out the boss.

This boss is similar to Gordi Schnarr G on Ebel Highway. A monster that can hit a single target really hard, and also buff it's strength and defense tremulously. But with all the arsenal you have right now, you can easily wipe it out with the Canceler Strategy, preventing the boss from having even a single turn. If you don't have that setup, an effective method would be causing the Confuse ailment on the boss.

Return to Courageous and use the Zemurian Ore Shards to create another ultimate weapon. Now go Trista, you will be some side activities you can still do. Quest NameAbsentee Father / 教区長の頼み [Hidden]

Accept the request from Father Paulo. Then you speak to the head priest of each major town/city. If you bring Sara and Gaius with you, there will be some slight changes for the final scene. Now speak to the people listed below in the following order to finish the quest.

Exit out of this area, and then take the south entrance to Villa 3, you will fight another group of soldiers. Use the Golden Key to unlock the door, travel to the north end, you will fight a large group of soldiers. The Tough Enemies in here (the Sleipnirs) and the boss have high Def and HP, but neither uses arts, so you might want to use Emma or Elliot with the Aries Master Quartz and Shadow Blade (both get the Might Set) since their ADF is not that high. Laura with the Warrior Set and a Zemurian Ore Weapon works wonders on them. When you reach the exit, defeat the large group of enemies. Then heal up with the orbment station next to the door. Get rid of the Zephyanthes units first, they are extremely annoying. Due to their high defense, you won't able to do much damage to them unless you use arts or your S-Craft. If you want to get rid of them quickly fully buff up your party and use your S-Craft. For Altina, she will cast Black Barrier to reflect a single physical attack. Sometimes the computer would be stupid enough to use it twice, which makes her waste a turn. Once Altina is buffed up with her barrier, she will use Brionac which is a laser beam that will do a ton of damage and weaken your ADF. This attack can also be reflected by using Emma's Cresent Shell or Crescent Mirror. When Altina's HP drops to 40%, she might use her S-Craft on you which can do about 80% of your HP.

Infernal Castle

Nightmare Tip

From this point onward the Damage Dealer you choose for the Layer Bosses should be equipped with the Lionheart Accessory, which grants +100 to Str/Def/Ats/Adf and makes the wearer immune to all Debuffs except Death.

This is not as hard in practice since each Sector that comprises this place has lots of tough enemies that will allow you to close gaps. However, for the sake of being capable of using the Cancelling strategy against each of the Sector Bosses, and even if you don't intend to it is advisable that Laura and Emma are kept in the active party throughout the whole dungeon since they are your best damage dealers. Having the Bravery, Angel and Mirage Master Quartz on Lv 5 will make your life easier. If you haven't leveled Mirage to Lv 5, Aries on Lv 4 + a Shadow Blade and Time Bell will make do.

As for regular quartz, it is advisable that you use all U-Materials you get to Customize R (attack arts) and II (Breaker and Status) versions of your quartz. Doing so will help increase your parameter a bit more when Stacking.

Consider the possibility of including Lost Arts on someone other than your appointed Mage. Preferably on someone who is going to be using mostly crafts in battle since regardless of the damage or effects, all Lost Arts will use the full amount of EP the character has. Also, don't worry about the damage done (if using Lost Oblivion or Sol Eruption) since what you want are the status effects. Crafts that will become lifesavers in these battles are Heavenly Gift, Holy Song, Burst Drive, Concealing Wind, and Spirit Unification.

Layer 1

Watch the event scene, when you regain control, assigned your party. It is recommended you bring Laura to your party, she gets her character profile updated when encountering the first boss of the Demon Castle. Run up the long set of stairs, then take the exit. It will bring you to the first layer of the Demon Castle. Defeat the set of monsters.

From here, continue south all the way to the south end, climb up the ladder, you will find a switch. Activate it, to unlock the gate right in front of you. Go through that gate, and continue all the way to the southeast area of the map. There is a little narrow hallway on the southeast side, go there to find a Virgo Boots in a treasure chest. Then climb on up the ladder on the very south end of the map. You will find a switch right behind an enemy. Activate the switch to create a bridge in the center area. Go there, and on the west end will lead to the entrance to section 2.

Run up the stairs in front of you and open the gate. Travel southeast, and when the path splits, there will be a treasure with a lot of Sepith on the north. Then follow the path on the southeast area, when it reaches to the northeast area, there is a little path right at the northeast corner, in here you will find the Alfried Armor, which is the best armor for men. Then open the gate on the west, you will find a switch in this area. Activate it to create a bridge directly south. Head all the way south, on the when you reach the very south end, there will be a switch. Activate it, will let you go to the southeast area which contains a monster chest. Clear it to receive a Deus Gem. Then move to the southwest end to the exit of layer 1.

Use the Orbment station in front of you. You can use this station to purchase the second strongest weapon of the game. If you need to switch party members, use the warp point to go back to the beginning. When you're ready, go inside the gate to fight the boss. 2. Tank 2.
  3. Tank 1 or Frontal Spread. If using Frontal Spread, your fastest members are on top. Back row members must be moved to the nearest corner.
Quartz: Anyone using crafts gets Speed Breaker. Mages must have Dark Matter. If using Sara, Dark Matter is not necessary.
Give Alisa, Sara and Jusis protection against Seal, Burn and Freeze. Anyone else gets Nightmare and/or Mute (particularly Mages).

  1. Baiting - Top Member with Rean or Alisa. If using Spread 1, each side links with itself.
  2. Cancelling - Rean/Alisa.
  3. Shield Tanking - Each row is linked.
Using Formations
Bait formation: Have Fie attacks with Bullet Cyclone II or Sweep II. Then Jusis uses Platinum Shield and Noble Command. Sara uses Lightning Charge and Thunder Vortex.
Spread 1: One side focuses on Bleublanc, the other on Duvalie. Both try to hit the Balancing Clowns.
Spread 2: Top Members uses the same crafts as Baiting formation. Someone needs to use Impassion on Top member. Both Sides help deal with Balancing Clowns.
Shield Tanking: If you get the first turn, immediately change Links to Jusis or whoever has Adamantine Shield. Overdrive, then apply. At all times ensure you have the Shield up before the boss takes a turn.
Frontal Spread: Fie/Sara/Jusis remain on top using their designated crafts, other character acts as support giving Food Items to recover CP/buff Spd. Back Row acts as damage dealers using one as support. If using Machias, he can be a lifesaver in case the enemy is about to kill the party/use and S-Craft. Make sure Front and Back row supports have Adamantine Shield if you're not using Jusis.
This is a pretty tough boss, Bleublanc and Duvalie are a hard hitting combo. Not only that, they have two annoying robots helping them. You can use one of many formation setups above, against them. Try to kill Bleublanc first since he will inflict status effects on you and summon more Balancing Clowns. When any of the boss's HP starts running low, the robots can instantly heal. Which will drag out the fight. They will also use their S-Craft on you. Bleublanc's S-Craft will reduce a single party member to 1 HP and poison them. Duvalie's S-Craft is a hard hitting radius attack. For any strategy not using Sara, your Mage needs Dark Matter to keep them clustered together so that your area attack skills can hit them all at once. For this reason, the best art to use in this fight aside from Dark Matter is Altair Cannon. If you manage to save up your S-Craft and reduce all of their HP down to 80000, you can spam all 4 S-Craft at once to finish them off.

Now return to the previous area (Layer 2), and Attack the eye switch with your field action, this will remove the vines in front of you. Travel all the way to the north end. You will find an eye switch on the northwest corner. Hit the switch to remove the vine on the east. Go all the way to the east end of the map, climb the ladder near you, you will find the Sirius Boots inside a treasure chest. Climb back down, then take the path south around the center of the map. Go all the way to the south end, you will find a tonne of Sepith Mass on the southwest corner. Then take the southeast path, when the path splits, you can find a Celestial Balm Ex on the southwest end of the map. Then travel to the north, when the path splits into two, take the west path. Go to the end, you will find two switches. one of them unlocks the gate in front of you, and the other will remove the vine at the very west end of the map. Go to the west end to find a Brahma Gem inside a monster chest. Return to the previous area and take the northeast path all the way to the end. You will find a switch near the snake type monster. Activate the switch to remove the vines in front of you, then go to the top to section 2.

Section 2 is very short, just keep running to the top, and just right past the gate, there is a switch, you will need to hit it with someone that has a B rank Thrust proficiency. Doing this will remove the vines in front you, head all the way down, you will find the Riva Garm enemy and a Zeram Powder in a treasure chest. Then head back and enter the gate. Use the orbment station to heal up, and if you need to switch party members, use the Warp point and teleport to the beginning. When you're ready, enter the gate to fight the boss. You will need Fie in your party, or else the game won't let you pass. There are some slight changes if you bring Alisa and Millium as well.

PreparationFormation: All strategies use Tank 2 formation. You cannot afford to separate your party on this fight
Quartz: Emma gets Might Set. Alisa gets a Spirit Breaker II. Also, Alisa must be equipped with an Impede 2. Any other Mage you see fit to include must have either Claiomh Solarion or Altair Cannon and their respective Bell quartz. Make sure your other Mage has Insight. You might want to give Emma the Aries MQ so she recovers EP every time you use an art. If going for S-Craft strategy, give 4th character both Adamantine Shield and Earth Bell, or give him/her a Lv 5 Aegis MQ.
Accessory: Make sure Alisa and Jusis have Seal, Faint and Confuse protection. Mages get Mute protection. All must wear Dark Pendulums/Emblems to prevent Death and Vanish.
Links: If you go with Cancelling strategy, Alisa and Rean.
Cancelling Strategy: Riskiest strategy, but most cost effective. Use Overdrive to survive the opening turns before Jusis has buffed everyone twice. As AT Delay (from Arc Slash) is not entirely successful (about 50% of the time), have Jusis or Emma use Platinum or Adamantine Shield.
S-Craft Strategy: Costly but Safest strategy. Tank with Platinum/Adamantine Shield and use Heavenly Gift. Then bring Rean to 200 CP, use Spirit Unification with Rean and use a Cherry Blossom Pot. Use another CP-recovering Food Item if he does not reach 200 CP on his second Ogre Mode turn. On his last turn use S-Craft. Fourth party member's duty is to use items/Adamantine Shield.
The trick of this fight is to kill Xeno first. Once he is gone, Leonidas will fall easily. AoEs are the best way to deal with the Javelins that Xeno calls out. It is important to mention that they tend to use their S-Crafts in succession, and if both of them hit you, that's it, game over. Should you feel that you aren't going to make it, give Jusis/Alisa the Artemis' Tear Lost Art. One use will double your HP, which makes surviving their S-Crafts easier in case you miss the timing for Adamantine or Platinum Shield. Even if they are resistant (but not Immune), to status debuffs, try applying Chrono Break on one of them at least, if you're not using Cancelling strategy, in which case Impede will mess up their turns so you don't get hit by 2 S-Crafts. If you can knock the boss' HP down to 90 000 HP or lower, using Rean's S-Craft, Termination Slash - Dawn (on Ogre mode) can kill them. If you're unsure, then use all available S-Crafts before Termination Slash - Dawn.

Head to the northeast path to find a warp point. Teleport back to the same area where you fought the previous boss at layer 2. You will find another Zemurian Ore Shard. Then return to the previous location. Then head upstairs and go to the very northwest corner of the map, you will find a switch. Activate it to unlock the gate on the northwest area. Go there and defeat the Nosferatu mini boss, it will create a connecting bridge for you to cross later. Then travel to the southwest area, hit the switch to connect the roads on the east. Here you will find each passage is shrouded in a red mist, crossing the wrong passage will lead to an enemy encounter. The correct path on the first passage is the one on the left. After you cross through, check on the right side to find an EP Charge IV in a treasure chest. The correct passage on the second gate is the one on the right. Then the next one is in the middle. Then check on the very left side You will find some U-Materials in a treasure chest. Then take the middle passage. Then activate the switch near the right side. This will unlock the gate to your left. Go there and head down through the ladder in front of you, then go to the southeast end of the map, you will find the Celestial Armor in a treasure chest. Then go to the opposite end, you will find a switch, activate it to unlock the gate near you. Go there to find another Nosferatu mini boss, defeat it to complete the bridge on the center. Go to the center of the map and follow the path to the end to reach to section 2.

Follow the path counterclockwise to the end, it will lead you to the outside corridor. Then do the same again, follow the path to the very end, you will find a monster chest that contains a Mar Gem, this monster chest also contains a monster known as the Greater Demon, make sure you scan it if you want to finish the monster trophy. Then take the east exit to go the east side of section 2. Head to the very north end of the map, you will find a switch that requires a B Rank in strike proficiency to break. Break the switch to reveal a hidden path, climb up the ladder to find a Diabolos Gem inside a monster chest. Go back down and head to the west side of the map, you will find a switch, hit it then go to the center of the map to see another switch. This switch requires someone with a B Rank proficiency in piercing to break. This will let you access the northwest end of the map which contains the Shadow Boots "Loa". Then return to the previous area with the switches, and take the north exit to reach the end of Layer 3. Use the orbment station to heal up, and if you need to switch party members, use the Warp point and teleport to the beginning. When you're ready, enter the gate to fight the boss.

Nightmare Tip
Before this fight, cook 15 Cherry Blossom Pots and 20-25 Food Items that grant Str/Def/Spd bonus. Rean and Laura must be Level 125 for their combined S-Crafts to kill the boss when it reaches the HP Mark.

  1. Baiting = Spread 2
  2. S-Craft = Baiting/Support Baiting. (Kill boss by spamming S-Crafts.)
  3. Cancelling = Tank 1/2. (Kill boss by AT Delay)

Quartz: Chrono Burst, Chrono Break, and Seraphic Ring are a must. All characters must have AT LEAST Impede 2 equipped. Whoever has Seraphic Ring must also get the respective Bell or be equipped with the Angel Master Quartz. Get Impassion on the fastest character too so s/he can use it on Laura/Sara. Insight is also really useful here.
Accessory: Alisa and your fastest character, or Rean if using Cancelling strategy get the Lionheart or Grail Locket. If you have both, give the Grail Locket to your hearler.
Links: If using the S-Craft strategy, the Top member links with Alisa. If using Cancelling, Rean links with Alisa.
Suggested party members: Fie, Alisa, Millium, Laura, and Sara. Any high Def/Spd character.

Baiting Strategy: Your side characters must maintain the Top member buffed/alive while he/she (most likely Fie) gets to work on McBurn. They also are in charge of trying to debuff McBurn's Spd with Chrono Break. Back row member has the duty of healing others with Seraphic Ring every turn. This method is the one that ensures the best chances of your characters surviving McBurn since only the S-Craft and Lost Art have a chance of connecting. Still, you'll be there for a while.
S-Craft Strategy: Insight on all 4 party members is a must for you to survive McBurns attacks. While the Elvavrias are alive you'll be firing the S-Crafts as soon as Laura, Sara, and Rean hit 100 CP. Once only McBurn is alive you have more breathing room. This is the fastest method, but you will use up a lot of resources, since only Food Items and Noble Command can keep you buffed for long and despite Heavenly Gift, you'll still need to use a lot of Cherry Blossom Pots.
Cancelling: While effective if McBurn is actually inflicted with AT Delay, this method can be a gamble, since you only have a 50-50 chance of inflicting that status. You'll always need to have your characters on Insight status in case it fails.
McBurn is perhaps the strongest and the hardest boss of Cold Steel II. No matter what strategy you are using, this fight requires some luck, as McBurn will use his S-Craft near the beginning of the fight. He also can use the Sol Eruption Lost Art, which must be canceled. Both his S-Craft and the Lost art are unblockable, but the S-Craft's damage can be reduced with Def Up. You can inflict Spd/Str/Def down on him if you have the respective Stacks or use Chrono Burst. That is your only room for work on this fight since his crafts will cancel your buffs and you still have a 50-50 chance of getting hit even with Insight as only Fie will be able to dodge them completely. While Purgatorial Flame can be reflected, you are better of canceling since it does laughable damage to McBurn and Arc Slash will hurt him more. As for his special Burn status, only two characters will suffer from it if you have both Lionheart and Grail Locket. You must cure it on the other 2 with items ASAP since it chops a good amount of HP per turn and it won't fade until the character dies or the status is cured. As with the previous battle, Artemis' Tear will give you that extra HP you need in case you fail to buff against the S-Craft or cancel the Lost Art. Speed is the key to this battle so McBurn gets as few turns as possible. When McBurn's HP Mark drops to 100 000 HP, using Radiant Lion and Termination Slash - Dawn on Ogre Mode at max CP can deal enough damage to finish him off.

The last layer of the Demon Castle is a linear one. Just keep running the spiral set of stairs, when you encounter the first large enemy, you can find the Chaos Armor behind it. Once you reach a dead end, you will find a switch, hit it to create a bridge. As soon as you cross over, you should find a Zemurian Ore Shard.

This is should appear on a ring/donut shape at the map near the pillar. After this keep running to the top, eventually, you will find another treasure chest, opening this will give you the Zeram Capsule and its also the final treasure for the Treasure Hunter trophy. At the top, there is an orbment station and a warp point, setup characters, when you're ready, take the elevator for the final battle.

Final Boss Preparation
Preparing for the Final Boss, which in reality is composed of 5 consecutive fights, two of them are Mech Battles, you need to reach at least Lv 125 with all party members that you intend to use since two of the fights will be done with different teams. The order is very simple:

Round 1 - Your regular Team.
Round 2 - 1st Mech Battle.
Round 3 - Reserve Team.
Round 4 - Main Team.
Round 5 - Final Mech Battle.

  1. Baiting: Baiting or Spread 2.
  2. Cancelling: Baiting or Tank 2.
Quartz: AoE arts like Shadow Blade, Altair Cannon and Claiomh Solarion. Chrono Burst on someone other than Rean (your healer). Seraphic Ring is your main source of healing, equip it on 2 characters.
Accessory: Grail Locket on Rean, Lionheart on Laura. The others must cover as many status as possible, prioritizing on Faint, Death and Confusion.
Links: Swap links constantly in order to use both Rush or Overdrive.
Suggested party members: Rean, Alisa, Laura, Jusis and Emma.
Baiting: Immediately Overdrive with Rean and whoever you choose to have Adamantine Shield, or Jusis. Make sure Laura/Fie has Craft Reflect status before sending her to start hitting Vita. Throughout the whole fight, make sure Emma casts Claiomh Solarion, Altair Cannon or Maelstrom to get rid of Crow's mines. Ignore Crow until Vita has fallen. If Laura/Fie have Impede 2 (they should) Vita will not be getting of many arts, just watch out for Summon Grianos and her S-Craft. Make sure Alisa and Emma maintain Heavenly Gift and Seraphic Ring coming every turn they can.
Cancelling: Rean starts with Chrono Burst, and Spd 50% buffing Food Item before letting go with Arc Slash. Try to hit them both, even if, as always, there's a 50-50 chance AT Delay won't connect. If you go for this method, then use Laura as Damage Dealer with Earth Cleaver. Again, focus on Vita first. Since she seems to be more susceptible to AT Delay, you'll only need to watch out for Crow's attacks.
Upsetting their turn order is crucial for this fight regardless of the method. Vita's Aria of the Abyss S-Craft can really wreck your party and there is no way to avoid it short of Delaying her. Crow's Deadly Cross CAN be blocked with Platinum/A-Shield, and high Agl characters WITH Insight status have a 50-50 chance of dodging it (extremely rare, don't count on it). If you opt for the Baiting formation (useful on both strategies) give Emma or Alisa the Saintly Force and Mirage Bell quartz so your Top member can also be buffed. Keeping your Def up is just as important as Spd in this fight. Once Crow is alone though, Spirit Unification S-Crafts will decimate him.

3. Charge 2 (Weak: Head)* (Criminal Edge)
4. Charge 3 (Weak: Arm) (Chaos Saber)
5. Charge 4 (Weak: Head)* (Blade Throw)
This boss can be hard since he has 5 different attacks, and only 2 stances: Normal and Charging. He can unbalance AND counter you, do them both in succession, and when he has unbalanced you 4 times, he WILL use one of his 2 Follow Ups (just like you). The second one will come after 5 consecutive unbalances, and it hits harder. Luckily, he only starts using that one on the second half of the fight. Not so luckily is the fact that he will mix both, but you can tell what is coming your way IF he does nothing to you on the 4th unbalance. He is fast and will combo you often.

You COULD learn what he is going to do by listening to what he says, but two of his attacks (one of them a really damaging one) share the same quote. so the best way to go at this fight is to build CP for Morning Moon and counter him. There is, however, a way to know what he is going to do. These are his attacks:
1. Normal Attack (weak: Arm)
2. Charge 1 (Weak: Body)
3. Charge 2 (Weak: Head)*
4. Charge 3 (Weak: Arm)
5. Charge 4 (Weak: Head)*
*Note: These two share the same quote.
Ordine's pattern will start with 1, then 2, then 3 and back to 1. After you chop 50-60% of Ordine's HP, then it will use the pattern of 1, then 2, then 3, then 4, then 5 and back to 1. It is easier to figure which attack is coming after if you memorize his pattern. If you miss the beat (and you will) just look at his unbalance weakness. When you see Head as the most likely, use Morning Moon (or guard if you want to save CP). When Charge 3 comes around (Weak: Arm) you can get 2 good shots out of Morning Moon AND dodge his deadliest attacks, which incidentally are the ones where he will aim to unbalance and Rush/Burst you. Your best supports for this one are Elliot (healing), Alisa (CP Regen) and Sara (Str down on the boss).

Watch the event scene, afterwards the game will give you the option to save for the final boss. Assign your party members, there is several phases to the final boss fight, whoever you did not pick with start on the first round of the fight and whoever you assigned for your party will come at the second phase. Both phases are difficult boss fights, the first phase is overall harder, while the second phase hits harder but is also easier to deal with.

PreparationFormation: You won't be able to choose a formation for this fight, so you will have to regroup quickly in either a Baiting or Tank 2 Formations.
Quartz: AoE arts like Shadow Blade, Altair Cannon and Claiomh Solarion. Chrono Burst on someone other than Rean (your healer). Seraphic Ring is your main source of healing, equip it on two characters. You need one weak art (element is irrelevant). Your best bet is using Elliot with the Aries MQ. He also needs to get enough Spd bonus since his role in this fight is crucial.
Accessory: Cover as many statuses as possible, prioritizing on Faint, Death, and Confusion. Give Sara and Gaius the Gladiator Headbands.
Links: Swap links constantly in order to use both Rush or Overdrive.
Suggested party members: Elliot, Fie, Gaius, Machias and Sara.
Baiting: Your safest bet if you have Fie. She must immediately go and attack the boss while your party regroups and buff themselves. Have Sara or Gaius attack with Thunder Roar and Gale Storm. Refrain from using Flash EX and Savage Fang II since those attacks will mess up your placement, making it harder to buff with arts if you run out of Food Items. Elliot and Machias are in charge of healing, buffing, and in case of Machias using Burst Drive to mess up the boss' turn order. Have one of them use Impassion on Fie so she can use her crafts since she is the fastest character and will go through her CP at an astounding pace.
S-Craft: Send Fie up front and attack the boss with Bullet Cyclone II EVERY TURN while you buff Gaius and use Twin Cyclones (S-Craft). Then have him use Wild Rage ONCE, and feed him a Cherry Blossom Pot. The other two characters in the back row will alternate between supporting Fie and Gaius throughout the fight.
Cancelling: Regroup the WHOLE PARTY (yes, you read right) right next to the boss. Cast Resonance Beat and start spamming Chrono Drive and Chrono Break with Elliot and keep the boss fully Spd debuffed. This way Bullet Cyclone II, Flash EX and Savage Fang II will both hurt him and have a chance of Delaying him, giving you more turns to top your HP. If either Fie or Sara successfully Delay the boss, then Gaius can use an S-Craft. Mind you, this last bit can be a risk, since Gaius won't be able to join in the Delaying attempts, do so with care and only if you can ensure he can recover his CP quickly.
The boss can cast a Craft and Art Reflect barrier in himself, in which case have Fie and Elliot use their weakest craft and art to dispel it. Either with Holy Song or Seraphic Ring (Aries MQ ensure Elliot recovers plenty of EP every time he attacks the boss with arts) make sure you top your HP before the boss takes his turns, since he has ALL hitting attacks/arts that can cripple or downright kill your weakest members if they are not properly buffed. For that reason, Elliot's Resonance Beat is also immensely helpful. If you want to make sure he gets enough turns to do all he has to do, have Machias, which will be the slowest, use Burst Drive. Many times, that will represent the difference between surviving and Game Over. This is the hardest of all the Rounds. So hang in there. When the boss' HP reach to 60 000 HP. You can spam your S-Craft to finish the boss off.

S-Craft: You need to tank with Platinum/A-Shield since most of his attacks cannot be canceled and he has one ALL-hitting that will chop 15 000+ HP. You need to buff Spd ASAP and use Spirit Unification and Radiant Lion combo, recharging both Rean and Laura's CP with Cherry Blossom Pots. The boss has 700 000+ Hp, so 6-7 combos will do the trick and bring him to the HP Mark. 2.
Cancelling: A fully decked, Lv 130 Rean (See the 4 Tools Advanced Strategies section) has the possibility to prevent the boss from having a single turn altogether. ONLY ATTEMPT THIS IF YOUR REAN IS DECKED PROPERLY. Otherwise, use the extra turns Rean will buy you to apply Shields, Mirrors and debuff the boss so whatever it sends your way will not kill Alisa or the weakest party members.
You can safely go all out with this guy. If using the Cancelling strategy (regardless of Rean's status) Rush the boss with Rean and Laura every time you have 3 Bravery Points. He has a lot of HP, so don't be shy in abusing Laura's Radiant Lion. Regardless of the strategy, make sure Alisa has Insight cast on her since you'll be depending HEAVILY on CP for this fight. If you use your weaker team for this fight, this boss is very similar to the first phase, except that it summons mobs instead of casting reflect on itself. Which overall makes it a lot less hassle to deal with. However, this phase hits much harder than the previous phase, it will sometimes unleash a super attack, so make sure you're fully healed to prepare for that.

You'll team up with Ordine for this fight. While one of the easiest mech fights, you should be aware you won't be able to use supports, so no extra recovery and for this reason, you need to make sure not to waste too many turns attacking the wrong area. Make sure that Ordine's HP is never depleted since if he falls, you will be missing a lot of damage and you NEED the extra damage to win. And just like Ordine, he can combo with you. Like the previous mech fight, the final boss follows a pattern:
Normal Attack (weak: Arm), then Charge 1 (weak: Body), then Charge 2 (weak: Head) and repeats. His attacks all have different stances, so there is no danger of you missing its rhythm. You don't really need to use Morning Moon for this battle, so use offensive crafts with both mechs to build Bravery Points fast, then unleash a Burst. Heal when approaching Half HP, NEVER under the mark since if he combos one of your Mechs, he will Rush or Burst (only after Half his HP has been depleted) your party and can, in all probability, kill Ordine who has less Def. Just establish a rhythm and he will fall quickly.

Watch the ending credits and save your game.
