Add More Boxes to the Pokémon Storage System
All players start out with 18 Boxes in the Pokémon Storage System. However, if you leave at least 1 Pokémon in all 18 Boxes and then logoff, more Boxes will be added to the Pokémon Storage System. You can continue doing this up to 3 more times to have a grand total of 40 Boxes, which can hold up to 1,200 Pokémon.

All the Fossil Pokemon!! *new*
Here is a complete listing of the fossils that you can dig up in the Grand Underground, and the Pokémon they become. Remember: you will have to access different parts of the Underground, so I recommend that you're at level 50 before attempting this.
Depending on which version you're playing, some of the fossils won't be found until the post-game, or are unavailable altogether.

Mystery Gift *new*
The Mystery Gift function is automatically unlocked after the player obtains their 3rd Gym Badge; however, there's a way to unlock it much sooner: in the Jubilife TV building, on the 3rd floor, the player can speak to a TV producer that asks what their favorite show on Jubilife TV is from a selection of three random show titles, but, initially, there's a forth option called "EVERYONE HAPPY WI-FI CONNECTION".
Selecting that option unlocks Mystery Gift for the player (and the phrase is no longer an option to tell him after that).
How to encounter Drifloon *new*
To find the elusive Drifloon you need to head to the Valley Windworks on a Friday, after clearing the Valley Windworks section of the story in which you fight Team Galactic.
Drifloon will be floating outside of the entrance. Interact with it to start a battle and catch it!
If you clear the Valley Windworks story segment on a Friday, you will have to wait until the next Friday for this event to trigger.
