Adept Style?

  1. I'm practicing valor LS to try something new. I've played the training quest more than a few times and took out a few monsters with it, but there's still some nuance questions I have. 1. How should I decide which attacks I should valor dodge and which I should try to dodge regularly? 2. Are there any skills/arts that will come in handy with this style? I'm currently in G3 and I'm still a little iffy on which armors/weapons I should use, For internet reasons I've had to to go through this solo, so skills that help with that are preferable. Any and all is appreciated.

  1. well, generally speaking, if you see the monster winding up for a single big attack, do the valor dodge. if you know it's a flurry of attacks, then do a normal dodge through the combo.
as for abilities and armor, it's been a while since i've played so i couldn't tell about those...

  3. if the attack is big go for the valor sheath, or in general if you feel uncertain about an attack go for the valor sheath, I find that it acts as a good "oh crap" evade, also if this helps you don't necessarily have to time the sheath perfectly, you can sorta queue it up behind other attacks. another thing with valor ls is that the first attack in the spirit combo (while in valor mode) is a counter, which is another good way to avoid damage. and the fade slash can also be good for evading or repositioning, it doesn't have I frames but it does cover a bit of ground.
