How long, on average, does it take a merchant to fully restock?

Accepted Answer

  1. Merchants will always restock under these conditions:
    1) Link is far away from where the merchant is located (around the distance from the Great Plateau Tower to the Hateno Tower is a good distance)
    2) 24 in-game hours have passed (a campfire works for this)

The only exception is arrows, in which merchants will not restock any given arrow type if you have 50 or more of that arrow type in your inventory.

  2. 24 in-game hours do not have to pass. You just have to pass midnight IfOnlyForOnce - 1 year ago - report

  4. Rather than Hateno Tower, Woodland Tower would be a better option. My bad. timmyy - 1 year ago - report
  5. Ah just midnight, thank you for clearing that up as some sources I have found have said 24 hours. timmyy - 1 year ago - report

  1. Shops restock their items *whenever midnight passes and you're far enough away from the shop*. Warp far away, sleep past midnight, then warp back and the merchant should always be restocked. For arrows, there's an additional requirement that you must have less than 50 arrows of that type in your inventory for it to restock IfOnlyForOnce (Expert) - 1 year ago - report 2   0
  2. That's correct. Thanks very much! darkdeity9 - 1 year ago - report

  1. 48 in-game hours while in a different quarter of map than the merchant(arrows are only available if you don't have very may so it doesn't work for arrows), you can fast travel into a dfferent quarter of the map and wait by a fire twice. Game_Fan - 1 year ago - report 2   2
