SECTION I 

INTRO: WELCOME!, this FAQ has been created for those of you 
       that have been searching for the stuff bloody dreams 
       are made of. 
       Many of us on the WeaponLord message boards have been 
       waiting for this for quite some time. Now that it's         
       here there's only one thing left to do: ENJOY!!! 
       I've been keeping records of findings and rumors since 
       the day it was previewed in GamePro Magazine. 
       Since the day I saw the article I knew I was going to 
       like this game. Who knew it was going to grow into an 
       obsession?(cue creepy music) 
       In this FAQ are Move Lists, Profiles re-explained as by 
       myself, Glitches, Combos, Little Known Facts,   
       Special Options, and Techniques explained. 
       I have intentionally left some things to the player 
       in the case of combos and strategies. 
       Bare in mind it was to leave some things to the 
       imagination, and not to "skimp" on the work. 
       I believe in giving the tools to be great, not in 
       doing the work for you. Besides, that would take 
       all the fun out of it. 
       So, let us begin.....

BUTTON DESCRIPTIONS-all directions are given as if 
       you are facing right. 
        
       BACK:                   < 
       FOREWARD:               >

TECHNIQUES- 
       BLOCKING: On the ground hold away from 
                 opponent. May also be done   
                 crounching. 
               
       PARRYING: Used to disrupt an attack and create an     
                 opportunity for a counter strike. 
                 Hold either of the Slash buttons and 
                 press one of the following: 
                 UP-for a high deffense. 
                 DOWN-for a low deffense. 
                 FOREWARD-for a mid-height deffense. 
                 BACK(crouching only)-for a special deffense. 
                 Holding QF and pressing DOWN in mid-jump- 
                 for an arial parry. 

       JUMPING:  Press UP or UP and FOREWARD or UP and BACK. 

       CHARGING/HOLDING BUTTON: Sometimes holding the direction 
                 for about a second is required to do a move. 
                 A button may also be held prior to the motion to 
                 do a move. This proceedure is shown by the 
                 command in parentheses. EX: (<) or (QB) 

       RELEASE BUTTON: Releasing the held button can be necissary 
                 to do the desired move. Shown with a dash 
                 before the button. EX: (QB)-QB hold and release 
                 shown. 

       BUFFERING: This is done by "running" your moves together 
                 consecutively. 
                 This is slightly different when doing a combo. 
                 During a combo you simply time the next hit 
                 while the current strike is in action. 
                 It's not as much different as it is just plain 
                 simpler to do because of the frame rate. 
    
       JUMP-INS: These are used to start a combo and wreak 
                 general havoc on your opponent. Certain strikes 
                 take affect higher than others, with these 
                 strikes you must do them later in the jump to 
                 make the combo connect to it. The deeper into 
                 the jump you connect the hit the better chance 
                 you have of connecting that hit to the combo. 
                 There are special jump-ins listed in the moves 
                 lists that are made for combo-ing. 

       DOUBLE OVER STUN: Aside from Frenzy attacks the Double Over 
                 Stun is the combo fanatics' best friend. 
                 These are usually related to the characters 
                 disembowling move, which is usefull in finishing 
                 off your opponent. The Double Over can be done 
                 after a series of attacks to stun the victim 
                 and tack on a few more hits. 
                 You CANNOT use this for infinite combos(darn). 
                 What happens is after the first stun, the same 
                 stun turns into a normal hit, thus eliminating 
                 your slug-fest. 

       STUMBLING STUN: This is the holy grail of hits, my man. 
                 This nasty affect occurs rarely, and is pretty 
                 hard to set up. It happens most when the victim 
                 is hit from the back with a strong blow. 
                 There are other ways to set this up, but I 
                 don't know of many stablized ways to pull this 
                 off. Some other ways are to sneak hits in while 
                 they're doubled over, the hits should be deep 
                 and either strong or in multipules. GOOD LUCK! 

       GROUNDED HITS: Great for those extra hits when you want 
                 to relax. Every character has a move that knocks 
                 the opponent to the ground and opens them up for 
                 the prison beating you're about to unleash.       
                 Unfortunately, these hits are limited, usually 
                 between 2-3 hits. 
                 Fortunately, I know a couple of Super Cheese 
                 Combos that are hard to time but ARE infinite. 
                 I'll get to those later. 

       GAURD BREAKS: Tired of the turtler in the corner going 
                 ultra deffensive? Here's the answer: Every 
                 character has a move that forces their gaurd 
                 down and makes their next block ineffective. 
                 All I have to say is, "MWAH-Ha-HAA!!!" 
                 These are described in the moves lists. 

       DEFLECTING SHOTS: A distant cousin to the parry: The 
                 Deflect is a strike that "over powers" an 
                 attack your opponent is trying to perpetrate. 
                 After the "CLANG!" and flash, the opponent is 
                 left wide open for retribution. These moves will 
                 be identified in the moves lists. 

       WEAPON BREAKS: At long last, a shining star uncloaked 
                 from the darkness and delivered a message from 
                 Hell: "So you wish to break weapons?" 
                 This used to be topic numero uno, then it was 
                 explained. It is activated like a combo, there 
                 is a particular strike that must lock with 
                 the opponents weapon that can be broken. 
                 Then in the "two-in-one" fashion(see buffering), 
                 perform the move to break the weapon. As a result 
                 of the weapon being broken,the victims' range is 
                 shortened, the damage may even be affected as 
                 well. NOTE: Bane, being the stud he is, cannot be 
                 subject to this, as would be expected since his 
                 range would be nil. 

       HAIR CUTTING: Not always hair being cut off, sometimes 
                 it is a peice of helmet. This is the barbarian 
                 "slap in the face", this can be done by a well 
                 positioned strike to the head. I've also devised 
                 a few character specific combos that set this 
                 feature up. They'll be shown in the combos 
                 section. NOTE: Zarak cannot have his helmet cut. 
       
       BARBARIC VICTORY: Also known as fatalities. 
                 These are done on the last round after the 
                 victims life bar is gone by performing moves 
                 that have designated affects. These are shown 
                 in the moves list. You should probably know, 
                 that in story mode, if you're killed with a 
                 fatality you cannot continue. Also,           
                 killing certain fighters may change the story 
                 line. The best reason to kill everyone is 
                 because, in story mode, you have to fight 
                 everyone you did not kill when you reach the 
                 Skull Gods level. 
   
       FRENZY DEATH: Still considered to be a rumor, these moves 
                 turn the screen dark like in the fatality 
                 sequences. I still don't have any proof of 
                 them being anything more than cool looking, 
                 but as always, I'll continue to look for the 
                 truth. These moves are shown in the moves list. 

       GLITCHES: You know you play a game a little too much when 
                 you start to find glitches. Either that or the 
                 game is made poorly. That's not the case here. 

                 GLITCHED COMBO COUNTER: I have heard many a tale 
                 of the counter freaking out after combos. So far, 
                 the only form of this I have found is after 
                 doing a HUGE combo after the victim is dead, 
                 usually done with a series of quicks bouncing 
                 the body up in the corner. Other than that, I 
                 don't have any other method of triggering this 
                 glitch. 

                 INFINITE BATTLE BETWEEN DIVADA AND JEN-TAI: 
                 It's simple, input this password: 
                 BYY ABA YAA YBA YAY AAA 
                 You should then be in a battle that just keeps 
                 starting over after your second win. 

                 MISSING FRAME TELEPORT MOVES GLITCH: 
                 Okay, this is a real pain in the butt to do, 
                 but I'll try and explain it carefully. 
                 Hold a button to parry and both buttons that do 
                 the move to be glitched. 
                 Do the move buffered off of the parry frames 
                 and release the buttons. Or, if the move is done 
                 by pressing the button: hold one button that does 
                 it and press the other.
                 If it works you'll know it. After you do the 
                 glitch, imagine doing one in a combo or a kill.  
                 I'll show which moves can be glitched in the 
                 moves list. Feel free to look for more. As far 
                 I know, there are none for Jen-Tai.

Special Info:

Cursed Path Curse:
If you keep losing on the Cursed Path without dying,
you will fight the next challenger. Do this until you fight 
evryone and you should fight an alternate colored "you."

Secondary Korr Ending:
Simple, murder Bane in your battles.

Full Zarak Ending:
Slaughter the Tarok Brothers: Korr and Bane.

Damage and Button Selection:
On the stage selection screen in the versus mode:
hold SELECT and push START. 

FRENZY KILLS:
Well, I posted it before, but I guess you thought I was 
lying. I used Korr's FLAME WHIRL to head split.
I did it after a swat with FF. I've only done it
about ten times total, so this means it is hard to do.
My theory is that it's like the weapon breaks.
There are certain attacks to activate the frenzy kill.
The other part of my theory is that the frenzy move
will perform any kill. I've noticed that the frenzy
moves usually hit on the ground(body burst), high up
(head split), mid-range(head crush), low(gut).
Now, I may be wrong about them doing all kills,
but I'm possitive they do at least one.
I hope to be able to put these in the update.
Right now I'm still trying to perfect the process.

LAST WORDS:

Okay, it's been fun, it's been tedious, it's even been 
kind of a neat experience. I recommend making a FAQ for 
your favorite game to anyone and everyone.
Just the quality time you spend with the game is reward
enough. Well, that and getting the damned thing done ;)

I'll be making updates when I accumulate enough important 
info to assimilate into the FAQ. Until then, use what I have
here to the best of your extent.
