God of Way: Chains Of Olympus, not the best of the 3, but still an outstanding PSP game
The storyline is basically you(The Spartan Warrior, Kratos) start the game off in the city, Attica, to fight against a Persian army. As you get a bit further in(just slightly after the begging), you notice the sun go down, and darkness consume the Earth. Morpheus(The Darkness), is trying to take over, and you must try to stop him(that's about the beginning, without spoiling it of course).
(Note: This game takes place before GoW, which takes place before GoW2)
Timeline: GoW:Chains of Olympus<GoW<GoW2)
Storyline gets a 9/10
Controls are easy to understand, and the game is very fun to play. You have melee attacks (That can be long ranged, or short ranged), you have your magic powers like in the others, grappling, and defending. The game is pretty much like the others, with the amazing gameplay that the others feature. It's pretty easy to get used to the game, which is good, but it gets more deep with combos, and different styles of enemies. Nonetheless, the gameplay is a blast, and is far better than a lot of games on PSP.
Gameplay gets a 10/10
When I saw the graphics, I was just amazed. The graphics were amazing for a PSP game, the cutscenes looked great, the in game graphics were good as well, it was like a PS2 game... only with a smaller screen... but great details of course, you can tell by looking at this game, then looking at some of the others that it isn't the same.
Graphics get a 10/10
The music isn't the greatest in the game, but it certainly isn't bad, sound effects are good, lots, voices are very clear and easy to understand, the music could definitely get better, but it's still good, the music gets annoying at some times, but it's good at most.
Sound gets 8/10
Overall: The game is pretty short, you're most likely not going to spend many days or weeks on it (Unless you try to complete everything), but you'll definitely have fun playing this game through the time you'll play through the story mode, the game has good graphics, controls, a good story, it has all the makings of a good game, and it does not fail to satisfy. The game is a great game for PSP, and is a blast to play, and it's not expensive either, so it's definitely a good buy. Those who decide to buy this game, enjoy, those who don't... you're missing out on a great game.
