Walkthrough Part 1

Kravisse Cave

Your next destination is shown on the World Map as a "?". To access the location, you need to press to enter World Shaping. Choose the Fairy you used to remove a Fury seal from the Goddess, and the cursor changes into a large sword. Move the sword over the "?" until it is highlighted and then press to Stab the Fury into the World Map. You can now enter Kravisse Cave. The battles you fight within will be subject to the Shaping Effect of the Fury you used.

One of the Rank C Furies sealing the Goddess has the World Shaping Effect, Change Enemies. If you stab that Fury into the ground at a dungeon location, the enemies within will be different than you encountered before. The Walkthrough lists enemies you will find with and without Change Enemies in effect.

  • Murian
  • Aquairius
  • Bandit
  • Zombie
  • Venti

With CHANGE ENEMIES in effect

  • Murian
  • Dark Shark
  • Zombie
  • Anklet Warg
  • Mute Riser
  • Aquairius

The Zombie enemies in this area have a breath attack that can inflict "Poison". You can cure poison with Tiara's Poi Heal spell or with an Antidote. If untreated, Poison status remains after a battle ends.

A short way into the second area, Kravisse Cave - Interior, there will be an event involving another Fencer competing for Furies. After the event, collect the remaining Treasure Crystals in this area and head for the final way marker at the far east. Save your game and approach the way marker to initiate an event and a battle.

Boss: Ethel
HP: 2,500
Weakness: None
Drop: Dewdrop Flask, Max Tonic
Steal: None

Ethel only attacks Tiara. She will attack from afar with Twin Arrow or Flight Twin Arrow, both of which hit twice for Normal damage. She also may move in close to use Slash Scythe or Upper Scythe, which strike once. If yours is an extended battle, she may use her special skill, Shooting Star, which hits twice for Moderate damage.

If you keep Tiara's HP above half, you shouldn't have trouble weathering Ethel's attacks. Unless you are low on SP, a combination of Fang's Shooting Slash and Tiara's Flowing Slash will take Ethel down quickly.

When the battle is won, you will obtain the Fury containing the Rank C Fairy, Sayle.

Again, you will be returned automatically to the World Map. Visit Zelwinds City for some new events.

View the morning-after event at The Sunflower Inn, then look for Lola in Fountain Plaza. After learning the location of the next Fury, you can view sub-events in Fountain Plaza and Guillermo's Pub.

If you haven't already, now would be a good time to start working on Weapon Boost. It is a good idea to add a second Combo slot to begin with (it's the last item under Parameters). The third Combo slot costs 300 WP and you probably don't have near that much yet. You can either wait until you gain more WP or spend your WP on inexpensive upgrades in other categories.
