Introduction

This is a list of all the scouts, their stats, when they receive them, and any changes they go through over the course of the leveling process. It also includes some information about what each of the stats do, all of which are based upon my own experimentation.

Version History


Version 1.1: Updated version, includes 5 DLC Scouts, Plutia, Peashy, Kei Jinguji, Mina Nishizawa and Chika Hakozaki. Also includes a detailed description of what each scout effect does. Added a 'Maximum' list so that people know which scouts to use to maximize a particular scout effect, and what the end result will be. Corrected a few minor mistakes.

Version 1.0: Initial Version It's basically complete, although some of the data isn't confirmed 100%. I specifically state when it's not.

How Scouting Works

This is how I've observed how it works so far after doing a lot of tests. Note, this is based on my own personal tests, not anything found online.

Each dungeon has its own duration it takes to complete. If a scout prefers that area, they'll get a 10% reduction in time needed to complete the scouting operation. Once a scout is deployed and comes back, there are several checks done to see if you receive anything.

The first check is HP. This is the overall success rate. This needs to be passed for the Scout to last long enough to even attempt to bring something back.

If they pass the HP check it choose 1 of the 4 other stats. Judgement, Observation, Action or Luck. Observation and Luck are only checked if there is any Monster Info/Treasure Info (Observation) or New Dungeons/New Scouts (Luck) to find. If there aren't any, only Judgement and Action are calculated.

Once one of the four options is chosen the stat level is calculated. There is a table below that shows the probabilities I've come up with. Observation and Luck are a little iffy, but the other two are correct. Basically it's still possible for a scout to fail to bring something back, even if they pass the HP check.

*Important Note: You can only check the reports of the scouts from the dimension they were sent to scout from. If you sent scouts out scouting in Heart Dimension, you need to be IN Heart Dimension to get their reports. The same goes for Zero Dimension and Hyper Dimension.

The reason this is important is that there are certain points of the game where you are forcibly ejected from a dimension without being able to go back right away. This requires you to do some of the story first to get the reports. You can always call them back, but you'll lose the reports if you call them back from a different dimension.

About New Scouts and New Dungeons

Scouts are tied to specific dungeons and not all dungeons have scouts. I've listed below which dungeons have which scouts. In addition the dungeons are dimension specific. You can't find Heart Dimension or Zero Dimension dungeons while scouting around in Hyperdimension. The true is same for those dimensions. In addition, while in Hyperdimension, the zone (Planeptune, Lastation, Lowee and Leanbox) you're in is given preference over the other three. Say you're scouting dungeons in Planeptune. You'll usually discover the Planeptune dungeons before the dungeons in Lowee, Lastation and Leanbox.

*Note: You can only discover NON-STORY dungeons. Story based dungeons are automatically unlocked as you progressed through the game. The only exception is Daze Station, which can be unlocked immediately upon reaching Lastation if you've discovered Tacan Road earlier. The reason for this is that Daze Station is a point on the route to Tacan Road.

Understanding the Statistics

HP: Chance of Scouting Mission success

This determines if they even managed to survive long enough to complete a Judgement, Observation, Action or Luck operation. They can still come back with nothing though.

Judgement: Amount of Credits Earned

Each zone has a base amount of credits it will reward for a successful search. For instance Coral Station in Zero Dimension gives a base amount of 200 credits. Someone with Rank E will never get credits, someone with rank D will get the base amount, 200 credits, some with rank C would get 400 while someone with rank A, will get 800 credits, 4 times the base amount.

Observation: Chance of finding dungeon information (Monster, Treasure)

Action: Number of items obtained from monsters. It's a range as seen, but, it's like getting a critical hit or stealing a rare item. You'll generally get the lower number, but very rarely you'll get the higher one.

Luck: I believe this stat is used to determine whether or not you find a new scout or a new dungeon. I'm not entirely certain though. I had no way to test it as I had all the scouts/dungeons at the time of this writing. It's the only thing that seems to make sense since I've been able to rule it out being a modifier of HP, Judgement, Observation and Action.

Preferred Zone: This is the area that the scout gets a 10% time reduction for scouting. For instance Negatune's preferred zone is Heart Dimension, thus she can complete scouting missions 10% faster in areas in Heart Dimension than those that don't have it as a preferred zone.

Note: Judgement and Action are exact, tried and tested many times and I'm fairly confident about the HP numbers. The numbers for Observation and Luck are extrapolations from a test sample of 30 Scouting missions. They're not going to be perfect, but they're close but most importantly and gives you a good idea of what to expect.

Lint Amamiya, for instance, who has godly stats across the board at level 5, has only ever failed for me once out of 20 tests.

Scout Effects

EXP Up/Down +x%
Increases/decreases the amount of EXP you get after battle. When it comes to battle this is the LAST multiplier calculated. Meaning after number of hits, and # parts broken is calculated, then this is calculated.

Credits Up/Down +x%
Increases/decreases the amount of credits you get after a battle, from treasures or from broken environmental objects. When it comes to battle this is the LAST multiplier calculated. Meaning after damage total, and # parts broken is calculated, then this is calculated.

Drop Rate Up +x%
This increases the chance of getting a drop after battle. Still need to determine if it's additive or multiplicative, but assume multiplicative. Everything else is.

Critical Rate Up +x%
Increases your critical chance. At 100% you always crit and combo traits almost become pointless, they basically only guarantee a hit which only matters if you're using a character with low TEC like Neptune or Blanc.

Enemy Change
This changes the enemies that spawn in the dungeon. The ones currently active are highlighted, while the others are darkened. 2 Enemy Change effects on the same dungeon will cancel each other out.

Share Usage Up/Down +x%
Whenever a CPU or CPU Candidate takes damage, goes unconscious (dies), or transforms, they incur a penalty to their shares. They lose some, basically. This Scout Effect increases or decreases the amount of shares lost due to the stated reasons.

Recovery Up +x%
This scout effect increases the effectiveness of ALL sources of healing by the percentage specified. This includes skills, items, and passive effects such as Neptune's Regenerate.

Now, this is multiplicative, not additive. What this means is that say you have +30% total Recovery on a zone. A skill that heals for 30% of a targets total health won't suddenly heal for 60%. The 30% will be increased by 30%.

By the numbers:
T = Total Health
H = Heal Power (30%, 50%, or 70% are the ones I've seen so far)
R = Recovery Up %
(T * H) * (1 + R)

Let's say you have a skill that heals for 30%, and you have 30% Recovery Up on a zone. Take Neptune at level 99 who has 11,690 HP.

The equation becomes this:
(11,690 * 0.30) * (1 + 0.30) = 4,559 HP healed.

A regular 30% heal would heal for 3,507 HP.

30% Recovery Up, gives a 9% increase to the heal. (4,559 / 11,690 * 100% = 39%)
