Ratchet and Clank in Chronological Order?

  1. I played the first trilogy on PS2 when it first came out as well as Gladiator and really loved it, but now i want to replay them and then play the rest of the series.
I'm wondering if anyone knows the chronological order of the series? Feel free to let me know if this is a good idea or if i should stick to the release date order.

Again, i want to play EVERY game. Mobile, psp, the bad games(O4A?), and the games with little to no relevant story.

Also, if anyone knows where the manga, comics and movie fits in, thats also highly appreciated

    Thanks guys!

  1. The chronology is:

2004 : Ratchet and Clank 3 aka. Up Your Arsenal (PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3)
2007 : Ratchet and Clank : Tools of Destruction (PlayStation 3)
2008 : Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty (PlayStation 3)
2009 : Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time (PlayStation 3)
2013 : Ratchet and Clank: Nexus (PlayStation 3)

    The "new" time line is:
    2016 : Ratchet and Clank (PlayStation 4)

    And the spin off are:
    2005 : Ratchet: Deadlocked (PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3)
2005 : Ratchet and Clank : Going Mobile (Mobile)
2007 : Ratchet and Clank : Size Matter (PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Vita)
2008 : Secret Agent Clank (PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 2)
    2011 : PlayStation Move Heroes (PlayStation 3)
2011 : Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One (PlayStation 3)
2012 : PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita)
2012 : Ratchet and Clank Trilogy (PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita)
2012 : Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault (PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita)
2013 : Ratchet and Clank: Before the Nexus (Smartphone)

A movie was released in 2016 and a manga was serialized starting on February 2004 in the bi-monthly edition of the Japanese magazine, CoroCoro Comic. It is drawn by Shinbo Nomura, and has finished in the February 2008 edition of the magazine. The first volume containing the first 12 chapters was released on November 28, 2005.

  2. Not sure if you still want to know this but I've compiled a timeline to help you:

    1. Ratchet And Clank
    2. Ratchet And Clank: Going Commando / Locked And Loaded
    3. Ratchet And Clank: Up Your Arsenal
    4. Ratchet And Clank: Going Mobile (unavailable)
    5. Ratchet And Clank: Size Matters
    6. Ratchet: Deadlocked / Gladiator
    7. Secret Agent Clank (North America only)
    8. Ratchet And Clank future: Tools Of Destruction
    9. Ratchet And Clank future: Quest For Booty
    10. Ratchet And Clank future: A Crack In Time
    Ratchet And Clank: Comic series
    11. Ratchet And Clank: All 4 One
    12. Ratchet And Clank: Full Frontal Assault / Q-Force
    13. Ratchet And Clank: Before The Nexus (mobile)
    14. Ratchet And Clank: Into The Nexus / Nexus

(The 2016 movie and PS4 game take place on a re-imagined timeline and don't fit in the chronology. The manga also appears to not fit and is non-Canon.)

I hope that after all this time this is still helpful to you. I will update this in case I missed anything.
