Does beating in Survivor+ unlock the No Matter What - Survivor trophy?

  1. In other words, can I beat the game on Easy, then do Survivor+ and have it trigger all of the rest of the No What What trophies? Or do I need to beat it twice on Survivor (first time, then NG+)?

  2. EDIT: @Mookiethebold - but isn't there a way to get around having to beat it in Survivor first and still play Survivor+? (According to a guide on playstationtrophies.org) Does that still work with the latest updates?

Accepted Answer

  1. You can only play new game+ on a difficulty you have already completed or lower. Completing Easy will only allow you to play Easy+. So in order to play Survivor+ you first need to complete Survivor.

Also, completing Survivor will give you the trophies for easy, normal and hard as well as Survivor, and the same goes for Survivor+ - you will get easy+, normal+ and hard+ in addition to Survivor+.

Other Answers

  1. Yes, there is a cheat you can use to go from any difficulty of a new game to any harder difficulty of a new game+.

    1. Beat the game on any difficulty to unlock New Game +.
    2. Start this using your existing save data, and play through to the '20 Years Later' section.
    3. Let the game autosave, and then exit back to the Chapter Select.
    4. Load up the first chapter, and select the difficulty of your choice.
