WALKTHROUGH
1st Playthrough (Continued)

Chapter 14: Join Me in Paradise

IMPORTANT;
You can't kill any enemies in this Chapter, remember to restart checkpoint straight away if you accidently do (same rules as previous Chapter).

As soon as you resume control, don't move follow Sam, instead, turn right and jump into the window above. Once on the other side, grab TREASURE 71/109 of the wooden cart in front. Now drop down to the ledge below, then turn right and speak to Sam once the prompt appears for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 14/36. After talking with Sam, look at the far tower in the distance that Nate mentioned in the last cut-scene. Now look down at about the 5 'o' clock angle from the tower and you will see the top window of a building just ahead of you. Head over to this window and climb up inside it then once inside, enter the room on the right to find NOTE 9/23 sitting on a table.

After grabbing the note, turn around and drop down the hole behind you down to the forge area. Interact with the shiny sword on the counter here then place it back down and then Sam will grab a sword. Afterwards, wait a moment and a speech prompt will appear above Sam's head, talk with him for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 15/36. Now exit the forge through the main double door (what's left of it anyway) and into the building opposite (stables). Examine the horse bones on the left inside the stable for JOURNAL ENTRY 17/25. Now wait a min for Sam to get a speech prompt, then talk with him for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 16/36.

Now exit the stables via the main double doors you came through, then turn right and enter the next building (pub) beside the stables. Inside the pub, climb up to the floor above and interact with the chair for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 17/36 (this conversation will register once you begin it, you can end it at any dialogue choice you wish). Once done, head out the pub and run straight past the stables towards the tombstone that you will see just past it, then examine the tombstone for JOURNAL ENTRY 18/25.

From the tombstone, turn back around and take the path to the left of the forge. Enter the first building (store) on your left that you come to and enter the back room to find TREASURE 72/109 on a barrel. Now exit the store through the hole in the left wall and drop down to where the pirate statue is. Examine the back of the pirate statue for JOURNAL ENTRY 19/25. After examining the sketch on the back of the pirate statue, Sam will place his head on a torture stand, talk with him when the prompt appears for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 18/36 and JOURNAL ENTRY 20/25.

Now enter the building (prison) behind the torture devices and grab TREASURE 73/109 from the 2nd cell inside (gain access via the 1st cell). Now exit the prison building and turn right to see a door right in the corner, enter this door and make your way to the end room. Jump over the shelf in here that has a gap above, then crawl under the floor to the right in the next room. Keep crawling and you will eventually reach a room with a large table in the centre.

Head to the ladder at the far end here, and jump up it to climb to the ledge above. At the top of the ladder, take the right fork first to find TREASURE 74/109 at the end, then head back and take the left path. Keep heading along here and you will reach a beam above a hole, use your ROPE on this and lower yourself down. Once at the bottom, swing and jump to the far platform, save your game now on a new game data file just in case as now is a enemy encounter.

IMPORTANT NOTE;
You still cannot kill any enemies here, so if you do accidently, restart your checkpoint straight away to reset it. Just make you way through this enemy encounter as quick as possible like the Chapter 13 encounter.

Now just run straight forward, once you reach the far wall where you can no longer head forward, enter the building here and make your way up the floors inside. You will sort of have to run into the building, then left and back on yourself and climb up the wall in front to the floor above.

Then turn left again and enter the next room, take the left door in here, then jump through the window and then through the next window in front that will lead you to some stairs where a armoured enemy is patrolling.

Head up the stairs inside where the armoured enemy is then turn left at the top and use your ROPE on the building in front. Now, rather than jump to the building that the ROPE is latched to, swing to the left and jump to the building on the left of the one your latched to (if you accidently jump kill an enemy here, don't forget to restart checkpoint straight away). Now enter the doorway at the back, and follow the path around where

you will drop down, Sam will follow you down here and say that your clear. Grab NOTE 10/23 of the table in this room, now head out through the large doorway behind you and walk left to the edge where you will see a building in front that you can jump to, but avoid this for now. Instead, turn around and you should see a treasure above on a handhold, climb up above the doorway and grab TREASURE 75/109.

Now go and jump across to the building in front, head through here and you will see a metal pole you can jump to and swing on. Jump to this, shimmy forward along the poles then jump to the wall in front. Make your way around the wall to the right then up and over the wall for another enemy section.

Now head all the way to the furthest right part of this area without killing any enemies. At the furthest right part, there will be some plants to hide in, here, there will be a window above with a broken ladder attached to it. Once you reach this corner, if enemies are attacking you, reload the checkpoint which will respawn you here or very close, you need to be at this point with no enemies aware of you. Remember to restart the checkpoint if you accidently kill anyone (remember, Sam can kill, just not you).

Once at the furthest right point in stealth, and once Sam is with you, interact with the window to boost Sam up, then climb up afterwards with Sam's help. Make your way along the narrow ledge here beside the wall, then drop down into the room, push the door open then navigate your way up to the top of this building. As you head to the top, you will enter a small doorway, turn back on yourself to see a ladder, climb up here and over the top. Now climb up 2 or 3 handholds on the right, and then reach for the left handhold and climb up from here all the way to the top.

At the top, run along the board, then jump and use your ROPE to reach the ledge across the huge gap. On the ledge, head up the stairs and drop down the ledge in front. Now turn right, then run and jump of the far right edge here and use your ROPE as soon as the prompt appears to latch to the beam above. Swing around to the hidden room and jump inside. Grab TREASURE 76/109 of the crate in the bottom left corner (near the edge). Now latch your ROPE back onto the beam and swing back to where you came.

Now enter the large open window that you will see in front. Follow the room to the right and use the ROPE again on the next beam. Once across on the narrow ledge, BEFORE you use the next ROPE, follow the ledge to the left into the left room and grab TREASURE 77/109 of the table inside. Now head back outside to where you initially landed, and then use the ROPE on the next beam and swing across to the villa ahead. Jump through the broken wall here and you will land on a mud slide.

At the bottom of the mud slide, head right up the stairs in the centre and carry on right up the stairs. At the top, jump across the gap and grab TREASURE 78/109 of the table. Now head back down to the ground floor and take the right passage which is just opposite the stairs. Head through this passage sticking to the right wall, you will have to crouch at some points and then eventually it will lead to a large courtyard with lots of stacked furniture in the centre creating a barricade.

Wait by the barricade for Sam, and once the prompt appears, talk with him for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 19/36. Now head past the barricade and then scan the furniture along the right wall, you will see some broken wheels on the floor, TREASURE 79/109 is beside the wheel with the broken chair next to it. Now head up the stairs in the centre into the main room and pull the lever at the end near the door, then afterwards, help Sam open the door to complete the Chapter.

Chapter 15: The Thieves of Libertalia

About a minute after the Chapter writing appears, assuming you didn't kill any enemies in Chapters 13 & 14, you will acquire the Trophy;

  • Peaceful Resolution

If this Trophy didn't pop (it can be glitchy), reload your save from the start of the first encounter in Chapter 13 and quickly run through the 2 Chapters again, it will be easier now you know the route. Then carry on with this Chapter (15) when ready.

Head forward towards the large statue in the wall at the end. Just before you reach it, check the floor to the right to find the statues head broken off here, examine it for JOURNAL ENTRY 21/25. After inspecting the statue head, turn left and examine the skeleton in the left corner with 2 spears through it. After inspecting the skeleton, turn and look at Sam and then talk to him when the speech prompt appears for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 20/36.

Now turn and head back towards the start point following the right wall, but as you head back, keep an eye out for the bookshelf that has fallen and is leaning against another bookshelf, it will be dark beneath the fallen bookshelf and you will be able to crawl underneath. Crawl into the crawlspace beneath the fallen bookshelf to find TREASURE 80/109.

Now open all the inspectable draws/cupboards and chests in the area until you have found NOTE 11/23, NOTE 12/23 and NOTE 13/23. They are placed

in random spots so just open everything as previously stated until you have all 3 notes. You will know when a open-able feature is close because the inspect icon will appear, you don't need to inspect anything else though. There will be draws/cupboards on the bookshelves in the centre and on the bookshelves along the outer wall but there will only be a few chests and these will be near the ends of the centre bookshelves. DO NOT talk to Sam before you have all 3 notes, because after talking to him, you won't be able to inspect anything, if you do by accident, just restart the Chapter.

Once you have all 3 notes and have opened enough features, Sam will call you over for a chat if not already. Talk with him when the prompt appears for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 21/36, you must initiate this conversation anyway to progress. Shortly after the cut-scene, Sam will walk over to a bookcase and ask for help, help him push it and then he will raise the chandelier. Make your way onto the bookshelf beneath the chandelier by climbing up the bookcase on the left of the room and jumping across. Once the ROPE icon appears, use your ROPE on the chandelier and then climb up your ROPE slightly. Now start swinging forward towards the light and you will see a hanging chain, jump across to this once you reach for it, then swing on this and jump to the paintings on the wall.

Now shimmy left across the paintings and climb onto the ledge that you will reach. Now head forward and you need to climb the tower in front of you, climb up the first part and into the window. Inside, run up the stairs which will lead onto a ledge outside, look right to see swing-able feature above. Climb up the wall slightly and then use your ROPE. Climb all the way up the ROPE and jump to the barred window, then keep climbing up and over onto the floor above. Help Sam climb up onto the floor above by boosting him up near the centre hole, then climb up to the floor using the chest he pushes down. In the room, climb up the ladder onto the roof.

Now follow Sam down the tower where you will be attacked, keep climbing down where you will see Sam again, then climb right and into the window.

In the tower, jump to the ledge below in the corner by the door, then jump across to the stairs where Sam is and keep following him down the stairs. After your knocked to the floor, the floor will collapse and you will begin sliding, jump and use your ROPE at the bottom, then quickly climb up the ROPE, don't bother shooting the enemies.

Once you grab onto the handholds of the hanging wall, climb up it and once over the top and standing again, quickly run and jump across the gaps following Sam. You need to be quick because the floor will be crumbling beneath you. Once across the crumbling floor, enemies will appear on the left and begin shooting at you, sprint to the door ahead and enter it. Now run forward and attempt to open the next door on your left at which point you will fall onto a slide.

At the bottom of the slide, jump across to the wall ahead then climb right and up. Once the handhold breaks and you fall down, swing forward and climb up the wall into the room, then turn around and climb out the window. Now climb up into the window above where you will encounter the female Chuck Norris, I mean Nadine. Once you resume control, help Sam engage Nadine, I say engage because you can't beat her and eventually Nadine will kick you through a window. From the beam you grab hold off, climb right and use your ROPE on the beam to the right that you will reach. Jump into the attic by the swing and then leap down into the hole to drop punch Nadine and end the Chapter.

Chapter 16: The Brothers Drake

Once you begin, turn right and follow the perimeter wall (anti-clockwise) which will eventually lead you to a fountain with 2 benches beside it.

Head past here keeping to the right wall, and it will shortly guide you around to the left where you will find a bench in a corner between two large plant pots. Grab TREASURE 81/109 of this bench then head round to the back of the house through the far left archway. Follow the drive around to the garage at the back and then follow Sam up, you will have to climb onto the roof on your left and then jump across to reach the handholds where Sam is climbing, then keep climbing up and enter the open window into the attic.

In the attic, walk around inspecting the items/boxes when the prompts appear, and once you have inspected 3 or more, Sam will open the attic door. Climb down, and head into the room in front, you will see a pool table on your right. Keep heading through this room, follow it around to the left and you will see a table football on your left, open the door just past the table football on the left and enter the room. Inspect the paper on the desk in here, and then speak with Sam when the prompt appears for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 22/36. Now exit the room and enter the door ahead where you will find a egyptian sarcophagus inside.

After the sarcophagus scene, climb up the stairs on the right which will lead to TREASURE 82/109 beside a locked door. Now head back down the stairs and then head down the next set of stairs on the left. Head through the right door in the laundry room and then through the storeroom.

Once in the kitchen, turn left and take the first doorway on your left which will lead through some corridors with weapons and armour along the walls, this will eventually lead around to the main foyer.

In the main foyer, take the first left after the first set of stairs you pass on your left with the white carpet, and follow this corridor into the conservatory at the back. In the conservatory, wait for Sam to come in, then turn right and head to the right corner where you will find a inspectable 'Pyrates' book on the table. Inspect this once Sam is in the room then put it back down. Now wait a moment and speak with Sam when the speech prompt appears for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 23/36. Talk to him again straight after for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 24/36.

Now head back to the stairs you passed with the white carpet and climb up them and at the top, try to open the door on your right. Now head back down the stairs and wait near the bottom for a moment and Sam will talk about an airvent. Look at the airvent with the button command when Sam mentions it. After inspecting the airvent, head to the central area near the spiral staircase and head to the far left corner, you will find a bookcase here that you can interact with, push it over to the window when Sam helps.

Once you pickup the photo, cancel and then climb onto the bookcase, then jump up to the curtain rail and then up again to the ledge above. Before you move, rotate the camera so you can see behind you, you will see a floor with books/boxes and a telescope at the end. Jump to this floor and grab TREASURE 83/109 of the sofa next to the telescope. Now head back to the ledge you jumped from, and then make your way left and up to the vent you inspected earlier.

Once at the vent, enter it, then follow it to the end and inspect the vent door on the floor and knock it down. In the room below, turn right and grab the key of the drawers on the right side of the bed. Now open the door back on the far left side. Exit the room and walk straight forward and open the door on the far right. In this room, inspect the box under the centre of the desk, then turn the page when able to for a cut-scene.

After the cut-scene, just keep following Sam till your of the roof. Once on the ground, stay just behind him and never run past him otherwise you may run into a policeman. At one point, a policeman will stand between you and Sam, jump over the railing on your left at this point to make your way around the policeman and keep following Sam to escape the residence and complete the Chapter.

Chapter 17: For Better or Worse

Follow Elena until she stops at the bottom of the mud slope where you can look above and see the shoreline flag. Now turn around and boost Elena up to the ladder, then climb up it and follow Elena along the path. At the end of the path where it bends to the right, Elena will stop in front of a large rock near the cliff and a speech prompt will appear, talk with her for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 25/36. After the conversation, turn left and grab TREASURE 84/109 near the edge of the cliff then resume following Elena.

Head up the stream with Elena and she will climb up the ledge on the left near the top. Shortly after climbing onto the ledge, Elena will stop with another speech prompt, talk with her for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 26/36 then follow her and examine the elevator up ahead. Now climb the ledge to the right and make your way up here to the highest spot. Jump across to the wall and then climb up to the opening at which point you can look ahead to see Elena's car. Drop down into the water, then turn left and climb the ledge just in front, then boost Elena up to the ladder.

Now wait a moment until Elena pushes down a crate, then look across the stream and you will see a tall rock in the middle with some handholds on it and a fallen tree trunk attached to the top of it. Attach your ROPE to the crate and pull it over to this tall rock, and then climb on the crate and up onto the handholds. Climb onto the top ledge and then walk across the tree trunk and into the opening, cross the bridge which will break then jump and use your ROPE at the bottom of the mud slide. Jump to the wall ahead then climb left and up to the floor above.

Now jump to the elevator when Elena lowers it, then when it stops at the top, climb to the wall on the left and make your way all the way left around this. You will eventually reach some wooden beams that will lead back to land where two enemies will attack, shoot one and let Elena kill the other to keep your accuracy up then jump over to Elena.

Back on the ground with Elena, head right to the elevator, but run past it on the left side, you will come to some broken stairs on your left where you will see the bridge below that broke earlier. Climb down the stairs here to the ledge below and grab TREASURE 85/109 of the small crate by the bridge, then turn around and climb back up. Once back on the ledge above, head to Elena and speak with her for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 27/36 once the speech prompt occurs. Talk to her again almost straight afterwards when another speech prompt appears for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 28/36.

Now head along the central path away from the elevator and keep an eye on the left for a climbable wall. Climb up this wall and make your way along the linear path, jumping to various ledges, you will eventually reach the shoreline camp. Now, you MUST reach the car WITHOUT KILLING ANYBODY for a Trophy, your on explorer difficulty so this should be pretty easy. You can see where the car is, so just jump down then quickly make your way up to the car and jump in it.

Once in the car, drive onto the river, then follow it down, then around to right and up the hill and keep driving to escape the enemies, careful you don't run any enemies over. If you do accidently kill someone, reload the checkpoint. Once you have escaped the area, you will receive the Trophy;

  • Just Floor It!

Now keep driving forward and you will drop down into a large river, drive up the river and keep to the left wall. Shortly after passing the broken bridge, you will come to a slope around the corner on your left. Drive up here and follow the path around to the right which will lead to another river. Make your way over to the far left and follow the path that you will find in the bottom left corner. Head along here up the mud slope that will lead through a small cave, drop down at the end into the next elevator area.

Drive over to the large water wheel on the left and exit your car. Walk close to the water wheel until a journal prompt appears and then examine it for JOURNAL ENTRY 22/25. Now turn left and you will see a ledge just across from you with a broken platform on it, grab the WINCH of the car and jump across to the ledge. Tie the WINCH around the pillar then move out the way and Elena will pull it down. Now climb up to the revealed area, then enter the door on the left to the balcony and grab TREASURE 86/109 from the crate on the balcony.

Now re-enter the room and push the crate on your left, over to the far wall where you will see the handholds. Jump on the crate and climb up the wall onto the floor above, then climb out the window, climb up and right, swing across to the wall then shimmy right and climb into the window.

Now head to where you can see Elena below and she will stop the water wheel, then jump to the water wheel, then quickly climb up it and onto the beam on the right. Shimmy across the beam, drop down into the room and push the contraption into the water wheel to activate the elevator, now quickly jump across to the elevator.

Once the enemies begin attacking, climb up onto the top of the elevator, and then turn around so you can see the water wheel, and jump to the wall just to the right of the water wheel, kill the enemies as you progress but watch your accuracy. Climb up this rock up to the top right ledge, then jump across to the wall in front. Climb up here and you should see the top of the waterfall in front of you, make your way over to the top of the waterfall, and kill the enemies there. Once at the top, head over to the far left cliff edge and look towards the elevator to see a branch, use your ROPE and swing across to the wall. Climb up and around into the opening where you will see Elena burst through the elevator.

Head down to Elena, but run straight past her and follow the cliff edge all the way around to find TREASURE 87/109, then head back to the car and take the drivers seat. Drive along the linear path and you will soon reach a broken bridge where you will see another elevator in the distance, reverse back slightly and head down the slope to the left. Down at the rapids, follow the left wall around to the top of the rapids, then drive into the rapids and keep driving forward along the top until you are clear and back in steady water.

Drive straight across the stream onto the path opposite and follow the right wall around to the left where you will reach 2 gates. Exit your car here and climb up the ledge on your left, now look over to the rapids and you will see a large tree beside the broken bridge, the tree will have a branch on it that you can swing on. Use your ROPE on the branch and swing across to the broken bridge. Once on the bridge, turn right and head up the stairs. Ignore the first wheel and climb onto the top of the gates, then shimmy right, across to the far ledge and interact with the wheel here to open the 2nd gate.

Head through the gate and you will see a broken bridge in front of you, you need to drive to the bridge from the right and jump across the bridge inside the car. So drive to the right onto land, then follow the muddy slope upwards by driving on the stones. In the top corner, look down the slope and you will see the bridge, drive down and launch the car over the broken bridge to reach the other side. Now drive around and up the river but keep an eye out for a tiny ladder on your right near the top of the stream, you should spot the ladder just before you reach the elevator area.

Once you spot the ladder, exit your vehicle and make your way past it to find a ruined building. Grab NOTE 14/23 from the barrel inside the building, then jump out the window and grab TREASURE 88/109 from the back of the ruins on the floor beside the window. Now get back in your car and keep driving upstream to the elevator. Park near the elevator and then exit your vehicle and run to the back of the building where the water wheel is. Climb up the back wall and into the top window, then grab TREASURE 89/109 of the water wheel lever inside the room. Now head back over to the elevator and lift the gate up.

Once the car is inside, activate the lever inside. Now stay near Elena during the elevator ride, and talk with her during both of the speech prompts for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 29/36 and OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 30/36. Open the gate at the top then get back in the car and follow the linear path which will eventually lead you to a bridge. After the bridge collapses, try to drive/steer towards the wall in front and eventually Elena will get out. You must jump out the car near the edge of the waterfall and use your ROPE on the branch above, now swing across and jump to Elena before the branch breaks.

On the ground, head forward keeping to the right edge, do not climb up any walls yet. Along the far end of the right edge, you will see the broken bridge in the distance and a journal prompt will appear, press the button command for JOURNAL ENTRY 23/25. Now climb up the wall on your left to the floor above, then head forward, but do not drop down to the stream, climb up the wall just to the left of the stream and climb straight up it to the ledge on top, do not shimmy around to the right.

On top, turn right and look straight across the stream and jump straight across to the ledge ahead. Now keep following the right edge along (anti-clockwise) and climb onto the ledge at the far right end to the right of the small tunnel. On top you will find a skeleton, examine it for NOTE 15/23. Now drop down and head through the tunnel on your right, after you exit the short tunnel, climb the handholds on your right and then shimmy across to the left which take you to the top of the stream.

Climb up the ledges here to a small cave where there will be some bodies, carry on through here over the log, then follow the left wall around to the right where you will come to a wooden beam. Jump to the cage from the beam, then climb on top and jump across to the next area. Carry on along the right path here, drop down the ledge you come to and walk past the broken bridge into the swamp area where the next Chapter will begin.

Chapter 18: New Devon

Head straight to the tall monument in the centre, then turn left at the monument and head forward slightly across the slabs and you should see a small wooden sign sticking out in the grass. Wait near the sign for Elena to come over to inspect, then speak with her when the prompt appears for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 31/36. While looking at the sign with the monument behind you, turn right and you will see a large door along the wall just across from you with some ivy covering it. Head over to this door and wait for Elena to come over and inspect it, once the prompt appears above her head, speak with her for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 32/36.

Make sure you are now looking at the door, then turn left 90 degrees and head straight forward to the corner ahead. Scan the corner near the wall to find TREASURE 90/109. Now head back to the tall monument in the centre and climb up it, then jump across to the cage and climb onto the frame.

On top, turn right and jump across these cage frames until you reach the furthest one that you can jump to. Climb down onto the cage of the last frame and grab TREASURE 91/109 from inside the cage.

Now make your way back to the central cage frame nearest the monument, and now take the left route jumping across the frames and then jump over to the wall. On the ledge, climb onto the cage above then keep climbing up and over the top of the wall.

After the cut-scene, jump down into the water below, then turn and look at the wall you just climbed over. Follow this wall right (clockwise), keeping close to it until you reach the corner with the tree at the end of the wall. At the tree, look at the left wall and you should see TREASURE 92/109 hidden in the grass here against the wall, grab it. Now turn around and head through the opening on the left and once you land, look forward and up and you will see a doorway just ahead, climb up and enter this doorway.

Once through the doorway, head straight forward into the crawlspace in front, then follow this to the right and enter the bedroom. In the bedroom, grab NOTE 16/23 of the bed, then straight after reading the note, head through the door in front and then to the wall straight in front.

At the plant covered wall, turn right and climb the handholds in front and onto the ledge above, then turn right and jump across to the roof of the bedroom. Now head straight forward through the gap in front and drop down below at which point you will see some enemies.It's best to just run straight past these enemies unless you want to spend ages trying to use stealth. They won't damage you to much and once your past the area they will leave you alone so head into the enemy filled area, and just head straight to the far end where you will see a cave. But make sure you climb onto the top platforms in order to make it across to the next part and to the cave.

Once you reach the cave in the centre of the far end wall, enter it and jump into the water inside. Now dive and head through the underwater tunnel on the left then head right and climb up the ledge. Keep climbing up ledges until you see a branch hanging off the wall in front, jump across to this and swing to the other side. Now head along this ledge, drop of the end to the ground below and head to the ruin in the centre where you will find a hanging skeleton. Wait for Elena to reach you, then grab NOTE 17/23 of the table behind the hanging skeleton. Straight after grabbing the note, turn and look at Elena and talk with her when the speech prompt appears for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 33/36.

Now look across the river to the ground on the other side, then jump into the river and quickly swim to the other side and climb up. Now turn left and head upstream to the far left edge beside the river and you will find TREASURE 93/109 in the bushes. After grabbing the treasure, look left above the river and you will see a branch, swing to this using your ROPE, then climb up your ROPE and grab onto the handhold. Make your way up the wall and you will find a crate up the top, push this crate into the river and then jump in after it and follow it downstream.

Once you reach the wall, climb out of the water to the right and then use your ROPE on the crate and pull it up to you. Once it is on the flat ground, grab it and push it to the wall on the left (as you look at the river) and then climb up to the roof. Once on the roof, turn right and follow Elena along the top. After the roof has broke and you have slid down into the water, wait a moment for a speech prompt to appear above Elena, then talk with her for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 34/36.

Now look around and you will see some angel statues, swim to the far corner behind these and dive down to see TREASURE 94/109 underwater right in the corner, make sure you grab it. Now surface and enter the nearby open windows into the building, then in the building, turn left and follow the corridor which will lead you to a room that isn't flooded. On foot, climb up the handholds in the corner of this room up to the floor above and into a bedroom. Exit the bedroom but don't head to the doorway straight in front yet, instead turn right and walk forward to find a large room filled with sofas. Head to the far end of this room and grab TREASURE 95/109 from behind the sofa in the right corner.

Now, still in the sofa room, walk to the far end wall where you came in to find a tall vase in the centre of it and examine it for JOURNAL ENTRY 24/25. Now enter the room straight opposite the bedroom, and grab NOTE 18/23 of the desk in here. Now head through the fireplace, then drop down afterwards and jump out the window on the right back into the water. In the water, turn left and climb up the ledge in front, then enter the door you come to on your left into the building just before the cannons. Head through this building to come to a long open room filled with water in the centre.

Head to the far end of the platform your on then turn right and look across the river where you will see a beam on the floor opposite which is sticking out and pointing to an opening. Jump across to this part then walk onto the beam and it will lean forward like a see-saw, drop of it and then Elena will offer to weigh it down for you. Climb back up, walk onto the beam and jump across to the opening opposite. Head forward and then out onto the far beam, look across the river to the wall the beam is facing, then look to the left slightly and you will see a damaged wall sticking out that has a squared frame you can climb onto. Jump into the water and swim over to this, make sure the current doesn't push you past it though so be fast.

Once on it, climb up and around to the left of it then up to the floor above, head along to the end and push the bookshelf down for Elena to climb up. Now head back to where you climbed up and move the fallen bookcase blocking the doorway on the left with Elena's help. Now head along the corridor and into the huge dining area with all the dead pirates. After the cut-scene, inspect the centre of the table for JOURNAL ENTRY 25/25 and to acquire the Trophy;

  • Lost Art of Journaling

Next grab NOTE 19/23 from the corner of the table where Avery was sitting. Now enter the doorway in the corner, then turn left straight after entering and grab NOTE 20/23 from the fireplace here. Now turn around and climb up the fallen log to the left up to the cliff. Climb up the steps along the cliff wall, then after falling, swing across to the wall and climb all the way up. Once up top, turn left and you will see some cannons along the left edge ahead, head over to these and grab TREASURE 96/109 of the wall behind them. Now enter the broken wall you just passed which will lead into Avery's mansion.

Head forward inside, then up the ledge and onto the floor above, then carry on forward and through the doorway on the right to enter a large room with a sofa and single chair in the middle. Nate will also say "word of the day...ostentatious" when you enter, now stop for a moment for Elena to come over and speak with her when the speech prompt appears for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 35/36. Now turn left and drop down the hole here to land on a mud slide and enter a large foyer.

Head up the stairs in the centre, then head right at the top around the hole and examine the footprints by the door at the end. Interact with the door afterwards, then try to open it with Elena, at which point you will be ambushed. Kill the enemies, but once you have killed the armoured enemy with the heavy weapon, go and grab the DSHK (WEAPON 6/30) and kill the remaining enemies with this, remember to keep you accuracy high though! Once all enemies are dead, swap the DSHK for a different weapon then head back to the door and open it.

After the cut-scene, head along the corridor and Elena will hand you NOTE 21/23 at the far end. Enter the room and climb up the spiral staircase on the right and you will find TREASURE 97/109 on a small table up top. Head back down the stairs and over to the circular area in the corner that you will be facing once you leave the stairs. Look around here and you will find Sam's lighter on the floor in between the yellow painting and the desk. Now examine the armour and shield on the other side of the desk, then head down the steps and turn the wheel at the bottom to open the gate. Head through the gate to end the Chapter.

Chapter 19: Avery's Descent

Head down the steps to the first chamber, then head through the passage in front. Turn left in the next chamber and keep heading forward. Once you reach the square wooden platform area, follow the footprints across the platforms to the other side. In the next room after crossing the wooden platforms, examine the archway on the left with the debris blocking it and then try to move it.

Now walk around a little bit and your torch light will go out. Now stay still and use your lighter when prompted (or try to), then when Elena says "here we go", rotate the camera to locate her. Make you way over to her and her light will go out. Now wait for her to say "over here", then rotate the camera again looking for her, then walk over to her and grab a torch of her. Now walk up the slope in the centre and boost Elena up, then climb up yourself.

Now head forward through the tunnels then drop down through the hole that you reach. Take the left tunnel in the bone room and keep heading forward until you reach some mummies, walk towards these slowly and they will ignite, then dodge back when the prompt appears. You will encounter a lot of these exploding mummies from now on, make sure you roll or run away from any that ignite, you now know the safe distance. Keep heading forward through the tunnel and run straight past any exploding mummies you come across before they explode. Keep an eye out for a tunnel on your left and head through it to fall down a mud slide.

Climb up the ledges at the bottom and drop down into the chamber. Take the right tunnel here rolling away from any mummies, sometimes you may have to roll towards some mummies that are not ignited, and then back again. Keep heading forward to fall down another mud slide and dodge the mummies at the bottom. Now enter the left tunnel of the 2 to find TREASURE 98/109 at the bottom. Now climb back up and enter the other tunnel, head down the steps inside and drop down to the flare.

Now head along the linear path to reach a enemy encounter. Just run straight past these enemies heading forward, head straight past the next set and you will eventually reach a hole to drop down. Drop down here and kill the red hooded enemy down here, then grab the weapon that he drops and shoot the armoured enemy with it that is shooting you. Once the mummies have killed him, head forward and drop down the hole.

Once you drop down the hole, turn around and take the tunnel behind you to the left. Follow the path here and open the door at the end, then flip the note and put it away. Now carry on through the tunnel until you reach the chamber with the large statue in the centre with the mummies scattered around the outside wall. Here, quickly enter the right tunnel and keep heading forward while dodging away from the mummies.

Eventually you will fall into a chamber with 3 mermaid statues in front that you can examine, take the left tunnel here to find TREASURE 99/109 on some barrels. Now head back to the mermaid statues and take the tunnel to the right of them and follow this tunnel along to another square wooden platform puzzle, but this time, there are no footprints. This is the route across that you want to take;

(Follow the highlighted route, start at the bottom highlighted platform, finish at the top right)

Once done, head through the doorway and follow the linear route into a large open cave with lots of mummies. Open the door at the end and after the cut-scene, swing across to the sword and grab it before the exploding mummies reach you, there will be a button prompt for you to press when your close enough to the sword.

Once you have the sword, cut yourself free and then run forward following Elena avoiding any obstacle in your way. Eventually you will escape the mummies, where you will fall down and see a cut-scene at which point the Chapter will end.

Chapter 20: No Escape

Head forward and climb up the wall on the right to the ledges above where you will see all the shipwrecks. Follow the path right, drop down then climb up the ledge to the right that has a beam against the wall. On this ledge, turn around and face the way you came and you will see a patch of clay on the wall in front, run and jump to this and use your PITON, then climb up and grab TREASURE 100/109 from on top of the ledge. Now climb back down, use your ROPE on the branch and keep following the linear path along the right wall and you will eventually enter a enemy encounter where you will see Sam in the distance.

Turn left and head down to the enemies killing any you come across, but keep to the left as you push forward. Don't use the ROPE swings for the time being and remember to watch your accuracy. Once you reach the first mast (the smaller mast before the large mast in the centre of the ship), look behind it to see a red powder keg. Pick up POWDER KEG (WEAPON 7/30), then throw it towards the enemies and quickly shoot it in the air.

Now head forward, off the ship and to the far end, then enter the ship here on the right and make your way to the far end inside this ship, you will need to kill all the enemies in this encounter. Once all are dead, interact with the debris at the end of the ship blocking the doorway and move through. Once out, you will encounter some more enemies running to the left, follow them and kill them then continue heading forward and jump over the rocks.

You will now see Sam, kill the enemies here then make your way over to Sam's location and climb up the ladder he kicks down. Once you fall down with Sam, sprint over to where the RPG wielding enemy is and kill enemies along the way. Once on the top platform, kill the RPG enemy and kill any remaining enemies from up here. Once all enemies are dead, look across to the large ship next to you and you will see more enemies spawn over on the ship assuming all enemies are dead on your current side. Kill the enemies that appear and a mast will fall down that you can swing on.

Use your ROPE on the mast and swing across to the ship, kill the remaining enemies until the truck pulls up, then follow Sam and climb up the ledge. Run through the ship and you will be knocked into the water. Swim through the hole straight in front, then swim through the next hole ahead when the camera moves. Keep swimming forward through the holes (swim upwards for air if you need to) which will eventually lead you through a tunnel and you will surface at the end near a beach.

Kill the enemies on the beach and any that drop down, then when there is only the truck remaining, grab the RPG of the crate just below it, and then shoot the truck twice to destroy it. Now grab a rifle and enter the building that the truck smashed into to be ambushed by the immortal armoured car. Now climb up in this room, and the car will then smash into the building. Now run towards the camera, then up the stairs on the left that you reach, then turn right at the top of the stairs and climb the wall here.

On top, as the wall falls, jump to the roof in front then run to the camera again. Once the car drives in front of you, use your ROPE on the pole, swing across to the ledge, then head forward and through the opening ahead above the door. Once the car knocks you down, keep heading towards the camera jumping over the fences and you will eventually reach Sully. Grab the RPG he tosses down, then shoot the car twice to destroy it, then jump up to Sully when he lends a hand.

After the cut-scene, follow the team forward and into the small village. Climb down the first set of steps and then turn around at the bottom. Now run along the bottom wall of the steps you just climbed down to find a doorway. Enter the doorway and grab TREASURE 101/109 from on a cabinet inside. Now head back outside, and head through the archway to the left behind the team which will lead you to a slightly dried up river where Sully will spot the plane.

Head into the river bed, then turn right and head forward over the broken bridge staying in the river bed. Look at the building on the right straight after jumping over the broken bridge, and you will see the buildings foundations. Walk underneath the building in the centre of the foundation and you will see a hole above. Climb up into the building and grab TREASURE 102/109 from on the table inside.

Now exit through the hole you came in, and climb up the wall opposite up to the team, and then follow them right and around the corner. When they stop and talk about a ledge they can't reach, run behind the trailer ahead and push it so it's beneath the ledge, then use it to climb up. Once up top, head into the building just ahead to the left and once inside, you will see two windows on the opposite wall. Head over to the right window and climb up into this one and out the building.

Now follow the guys over to the edge of the wall, after they look over the first edge, they will go and look over the edge next to the skyrail. At this point, use your ROPE on the skyrail, swing down then jump back to the wall and climb back up, Sam will now walk over to the initial edge they all looked over. Wait a moment and then you will get a prompt to help Sam push the beam, help him push it, then walk along it and jump across to the platform opposite. Once on the platform, walk to the corner and use your ROPE on the skyrail, then pull the team across.

Once the skyrail is across, use your ROPE on it again, then climb up the ROPE to it and jump across to grab Sam's hand. Once you climb up and the chains break, climb back up and jump across to Sully. Follow Elena and enter the 2nd building on your right to find NOTE 22/23 on a table inside. Now head up the stairs in the same building and grab TREASURE 103/109 of the cabinet by the windows.

Now head back down the stairs, ignore the hole in the wall in front, and turn right and exit through the doorway here back outside. Run over to the building right in front of you, and follow it's wall around to the right to find a large broken section on it's corner. Enter through this hole into the building and grab TREASURE 104/109 from inside. Now head back outside, and then push the trailer to the back wall, then use it to climb over and complete the Chapter.

Chapter 21: Brother's Keeper

Head forward and climb up the walls in front, then jump across to the ledge on your left and follow the path to a ruined building and a ROPE swing on your left. Use your ROPE on the swing, but don't jump to the far wall yet, instead turn around so your facing the way you came and jump to the high ledge on the right, you can just make the jump. Grab TREASURE 105/109 of the ledge then use your ROPE again and jump to the far wall this time.

Now make your way up the mountain following the linear route, climbing the various cliffs and using your ROPE when needed. Eventually you will reach a old campfire with a tattered tent frame next to it, climb the ledge to the right and grab NOTE 23/23 of the skeleton to acquire the Trophy;

  • Lost History

Now continue heading forward, use the ROPE on the branch to reach the other side, then head through the caves which will eventually lead you to a mud slide. Slide down here, jump across to the wall at the end then climb up. Now cross the bridge, then jump and use your ROPE at the bottom of the mud slide that you fall to. Jump across to the handholds, shimmy to the left, drop down, then head through the dark crawlspace. Head up the ledge at the end and then fall into the really clear shallow water below.

Climb the low ledge in front of you and grab TREASURE 106/109 from inside the crate, then climb up the wall. Up the top, jump across to the wall with the small handholds and the large clay patches, then make your way right along the wall and use your ROPE on the beam that you will see. Now jump across to the next beam below and use your ROPE on that, then swing across and jump to the mud slide. Jump across at the bottom to the handholds and climb up. Head forward and you will come to a huge drop, there will be a wooden frame beside you that you can attach your ROPE to. So attach your ROPE and lower yourself all the way down that the ROPE will extend to.

Now stay on the ROPE and face and look at the ship below. To the left of you, you will see some handholds on the wall and some clay patches, and just up to the right hidden in the ceiling, you will see a small hole (the top ledge of the hole will be a light colour, can be hard to see) with some ivy hanging from it. Swing across to this hole and jump to it when close enough, then enter the hole and grab TREASURE 107/109 from inside which will earn you the Trophy;

  • Relic Finder

Now carry on past the treasure location and fall out the hole and as you fall, keep pressing square to use your PITON on the clay wall near the bottom. If you fall to your death, you will already have the treasure, so just swing and jump to the clay wall on the left instead when you respawn. Once on the clay wall, make your way to the right and you will eventually reach a long mud slide. Jump on the slide, then jump to avoid the obstacles on the way down and jump across the gaps, then at the bottom, jump and use your ROPE on the wooden frame above.

Once you have fallen into the clear water, turn so your looking at the cave ahead of you, climb up the slope to the right of the cave and grab TREASURE 108/109 from in the corner here. Now jump back in the water, dive down and enter the underwater tunnel to the right. Head through this tunnel coming up for air if you need to and near the end, you will encounter a cut-scene. After the cut-scene, dive down and head through the platform pillars, surface once through and climb up the platform to begin the next Chapter.

Chapter 22: A Thief's End

Jump into the water in front, and swim forward towards the ship. After the explosion, look in the water around you and you will see some large stone slabs in the water beneath you (about halfway between the platform you were just on and the ship). Dive down and swim underneath the slabs to find TREASURE 109/109 and grab it to acquire the Trophy;

  • Treasure Master

Now carry on towards the ship and enter the hole in the side. Make your way up inside and once on the deck, follow the debris around to the left and drop down the hole. Now head along the linear path through the treasure room and open the door for a cut-scene.

After the cut-scene, you will be engaged in a sword duel with Rafe, YOU MUST COMPLETE THIS DUEL WITHOUT TAKING ANY DAMAGE. It's not as hard as it sounds, the game does explain the controls, fairly simple once you get the hang of it. If Rafe does hit you, restart the checkpoint and retry, the good thing is that the duel is divided into stages, with small cutscenes dividing them. Whenever you restart, you won't have to begin the whole battle again, just the start of that stage which makes it even easier. Just complete the battle until you have completed it with no damage, restart the checkpoint as advised earlier if you do take any hits.

If you find completing this duel without damage really difficult, then wait till the 2nd Playthrough where you be completing this duel again, but in SLOW MOTION!

From the 2nd stage of the swordfight onwards, you will get melee prompts, melee Rafe twice when these appear. During the last stage, you will be on the floor, but the swordfight controls still apply, you will just need to block from the ground. After defeating Rafe without taking any damage, watch the cut-scene, and afterwards when you surface outside the ship, you will acquire the Trophy;

  • Swordmaster

Outside the ship, now swim to the opening at the far end for a cut-scene and to complete the Chapter.

Epilogue

At the end of the lengthy cut-scene of the previous Chapter, you will begin this Epilogue playing Crash Bandicoot. You need to complete the Crash Bandicoot game this time without dying, collecting the extra life and collecting as many apples as you can as quick as possible. You don't need to collect every single apple, but make sure you collect the apples and break the crates during the safe parts when nothing is chasing you.

Especially make sure you grab the extra life from the crate in one of the tunnels your reach. If you die at all, restart checkpoint, you must complete the game with all your lives including the extra 1 you collect. At the end of the level, providing you collected enough apples, finished it quick enough and have all lives remaining (plus the extra life), you should beat the high score and receive the Trophy;

  • Best Score!

If you don't earn a high enough score, restart the checkpoint and try again. After the Crash Bandicoot game, you will notice that your in control of a young girl. Once you gain control, exit your room, turn right and walk out the front door ahead. Outside on the beach, turn left and follow the dog to the boat. Once you reach the dog at the boat, pat it using the button prompt (if the prompt doesn't appear, rotate the camera slightly). Then after patting the dog, talk to it when the speech bubble appears above it's head for OPTIONAL CONVERSATION 36/36 and to acquire the Trophy;

  • Gift of Gab

Now head back to the beach and enter the building on the right. Inside the building, head to the bookcase straight ahead and examine the magazine on the table next to the bookcase. Put the magazine back down to find some key's, then use the key's on the wardrobe beside you. Once the wardrobe is open, examine the silver skull, then place it back down and grab the journal that was hidden behind it. When looking in the journal, turn the page twice, then pick up the photo and place it back down. Now turn the page once more, then pick up the note inside and flip it.

The final cut-scene will then begin followed by the end credits. At the end of the lengthy credits once you have returned to the title screen, the following Trophies will pop;

  • Charted! - Explorer
  • Sharpshooter

WALKTHROUGH
2nd Playthrough

To begin, enter the EXTRAS menu on the title screen, then select BONUS followed by ADD-ONS. Now select the WEAPONS option, and purchase every weapon. Now exit the weapon menu and then select RENDER MODES and purchase Thief Vision. Now exit the RENDER MODES menu and then select GAME PLAY MODIFIERS and purchase the following modifiers;

  • Slow Motion
  • Bullet Speed Mode
  • Infinite Ammo

Now exit back to the main menu, then close the application. Now head into; System settings > Application saved data management > Saved data in system storage, and then backup your Uncharted 4 save to either PSplus or USB storage.

Once the save is backed up, head into; System settings > Application saved data management > Saved data in system storage > Delete, and then delete all your Uncharted 4 save games apart for the PROFILE, and the save game that you completed the game on. This is to remove all the clutter as I can't be sure how many save games you have, if you can't remember what save game you completed the game on, quickly load the game up and check. Once done, you should be left with your profile save and the save game you completed the game with.

Now load the game, select 'story' and then 'new game', then choose to keep the Treasures and player stats from your current save file when asked.

Next, select difficulty 'Crushing' and save over 'New game data'. Once the Henry Avery quote appears, press options and look at your statistics and you will notice that your play time has transferred across from your previous save, now quit to the main menu.

Now, once more, select 'story' and then 'new game', then choose to keep the Treasures and player stats from your current save file when asked.

Next, select difficulty 'Crushing' and save over 'New game data'. Once you resume control inside the boat, press options and look at your statistics and you will notice that your play time has now reset but the statistics have remained. Now your ready to continue this save game and complete the 2nd Playthrough.

VERY IMPORTANT:
All you are focusing on in this playthrough is completing the game on the hardest difficulty (Crushing) and completing the whole game in 6hrs. You have modifiers now to use and you won't be collecting any Treasures etc so there will be less to think about allowing you to solely focus on getting through the Chapters as quick as possible.

You will find that during the enemy encounters, you will have to kill almost every enemy, you will die pretty quick out in the open now so it can't be risked, especially since every time you restart a checkpoint, your time doesn't reset, it is constantly ticking. You will find that you will need to use cover a lot now as well.

Be sure you skip the cutscenes as time ticks during them and complete each Chapter within the time stamps I give, you can spare a minute or 2 on each but not much. If your way off the estimated time for the next Chapter (that I provide), load the previous save that I asked you to make and complete the Chapter again in the target time.

I will ask you to manual save during difficult sections when I know you may lose a bit of time, this is mainly during enemy encounters but if you want to be safe, feel free to make a manual save at the start of every Chapter. Just remember that restarting checkpoints (or dying) will not reset the timer back to when that checkpoint was initially reached, the only way to reset the timer to a previous save state is to load a earlier manual save.

Lastly, a quick note about the Bonuses; you unlocked a few earlier and you will activate some of these shortly when I advise, but with the weapons, you can ONLY select a one-handed firearm when you have acquired one in the game, and the same goes for the two-handed firearms.

As soon as you collect a firearm, enter the bonus menu and select one of the yellow weapons, preferably the BAROK.44 (one-handed) as that is a 1 hit kill to most enemies or the ARX-160 (two-handed) if you want some heavier firepower. Sometimes the M14 CUSTOM sniper rifle can be handy, but mainly, just go for the BAROK.44 as this will most the time, allow you to kill the enemies the quickest. When the menu is open, time is paused, so don't worry about constantly changing weapons in the bonus menu. And remember, accuracy doesn't matter now so kill them enemies as quick as possible so you can progress.

It begins.....
