Power went out while I was turning it off?
I was turning off my PS4 which I got for Christmas and the power flicked.
It says not to take out the cord when your turning it off.
Any damage? Lalaloo - 4 years ago
More than likely there was no damage. I've had surges and outages pretty often due to so much lightning where I live and I've been okay 99% of the time. I lost a TV once and a VCR once, but I've never lost a console.
One issue with surges or outages is that it sometimes will corrupt data. The only way to tell if there was any damage is to try using the console. If there were any issues then at least it is under warranty, but that won't help get your data back if that was corrupted. Good luck and enjoy your new system! chaoyun2k (Expert) - 4 years ago
