Walkthrough / Before You Start
Mission 20: True Power
This is your victory parade. This fight is similar to the fight you just had and all of the previous strategies still apply. Vergil will start with his full suite of moves.
You'll still have access to all of your skills but not your Devil Breakers. In place of that, you'll have your Devil Bringer, which is very similar to the Buster version of the Devil Breaker. You'll be able to use a similar ability to Wire Snatch so you can pull Vergil around a little bit.
The biggest difference (which will make this fight easier than the last) is that Vergil will occasionally get stunned. When he's kneeling and winded, walk up to him and use the Devil Bringer on him to do massive damage. If you do this while you're both in Devil Trigger, the damage will be huge (20% or so).
Vergil is still dangerous, so be careful, but have a little fun with your new powers!
If you manage to complete both this battle and the previous one without using any continues, you'll unlock the Battle for the Ages achievement. That would be pretty impressive on a first go. You may want to beef up a little and attempt it on Human instead.
After this mission ends, you'll be able to play in the background of the credits. As Nero, your goal is to defeat all the waves of enemies before you get halfway through the credits. You'll know you've done this when there's a slight pause in the spawning, and then the next wave of enemies will be Empusa again. After the halfway point, the scene will swap to Dante and Vergil. Do the same thing and crush your enemies. Make sure to use your Devil Trigger. It's still there in the background, you just can't see it. If you manage to complete both segments, you'll unlock the Recovery Provocation ability for Nero. If you've completed the game on Devil Hunter, you'll also unlock Son of Spardadifficulty, which is a big step up in difficulty from Devil Hunter. |
