  1. Archivist is in same room, (normally) talking to him and learning cartography.
    It Sounds like you know location.

    He has habit of spawning above you. (he'll be roaming in circle around well(hole above in map room)

    You can log out and back in(singleplayer) and he'll often respawn in right spot.
    Online you can catch him after server update.

    Or simpley go look for him up above.
