Why isn't nergigante in the old world?

  1. I’m leading a discussion on why they don’t populate even though it can live and travel there.

  1. They do. That was already established in the games lore. But being a top predator that literally eats other top predators like the other EDs means it's probably going to be very rare to begin with. Not to mention nergi seems to have almost no interest in humans or their cities at all unless they just happen to start a fight with it or it feels they're a threat somehow. This would put them pretty low on the guilds priority list especially compared to more obvious threats like teostra, which have their every move watched by the guild, just in case.

So, basically, nergi do populate the old world, but they're so rare and reclusive the guild couldn't find one to study except during the elder crossing at which point it would basically disappear from astera's radar until it started heading back to the old world with the other EDs. (I mean, it took the commission 50 years to figure out it was only there to eat the other EDs)

  2. I have a theory on the crossing, before xeno'jiiva came to be the crossing would begin every century, but by xeno's influence it became every decade, so does that mean some of the elders here are actually relatively young for example the bonding attack of teostra and lunastra is actually a mating ritual so that may mean nergi is actually getting more than enough to live. Anyway thank you for your help And i wish to talk about more monsters in the future.
