Do the improved tomahawk and throwing knife do more melee damage than normal ones?

  1. The tomahawk is listed as doing about the same amount of damage as other melee axes (i.e. Viking axe), as the throwing knife is listed as doing the same amount of damage as the hunting knife. Since weapons like the hunting knife are melee-only, I assume that means that means that the damage value of the throwing weapons also applies to melee combat. The improved throwing knife and tomahawk both have a higher damage value, so does that mean that they do more melee damage as well? Such that an improved throwing knife is a better melee weapon than the hunting knife, and an improved tomahawk is a better melee weapon than a hatchet?

  1. Yeah. They slightly improve damage, range, and accuracy. An improved tomahawk is therefore better than a hatchet.
