Walkthrough

The Last of the Drugs

Searching for Something

Head for the waypoint to start this mission. It doesn't matter what time of day you start it as the game will transition to night for this mission regardless.

After you see the chopper, take off after it. As you crest a tall hill early on, Deacon will comment on "Runners." Take aim at these Wolves using the L1 button and take shots at them to deter them from attacking.

You'll encounter a few more enemies along the way, but the few that appear should be easy enough to avoid. At worst, you have the distinct advantage of going 60+ miles per hour.

Eventually, the chopper will slow down. You don't need to. When you get close enough to it, a scene will play out and the chopper will fly off again. Chase after it until it finally sets down in a clearing.

Hey, that's mine!

Once the Swarmers clear out, head down the hill. There are bushes scattered around the area and four Swarmers remain. Throw rocks around the area to distract enemies while you pick them off. Once you've cleared them out, head down to the clearing. Inspect the crates first to find Ammo and a Bandagebefore checking the light source.

You'll need to hunt down the Newt that steals the radio device. You can use the sound or the mini-map to find him. If you mark it with your binoculars, you'll be able to track it that way as well. Head it off, kill it, and take the radio. Return to your bike when you have it.

What's a Nice Girl

Hey, it's a flashback! Most of this is a glorified cutscene. After your second trip on your bike, you'll get into a fistfight. I don't know if it can be lost, but it seems like after you do enough damage to the three Dudes, another cutscene will trigger, ending the flashback.

It's Not Safe Here

You'll probably want a fair amount of ammo, especially heavy ammo and explosives for the end of the mission. Unlike most missions, this ends in a minor boss-fight against an enemy that will soak up the hits.

After riding to the checkpoint to start the mission, go down the stairs nearby to the creek. Go up to the water and use your Survival Vision to find a clue. Once you've found it, follow the footprints (they should also appear as white dots on your mini-map). This will lead you into a building before long where Deacon will comment on Rippers. Great!

Dealing with the Rippers

There are going to be several phases of Rippers to deal with here. Each time you eliminate a group, another group will spawn nearby, so try not to go wandering into the open after killing the last Ripper in a group.

Phase 1 - From this first building, hop out of one of the SW windows carefully. One Ripper is going to go by the front of the building on patrol. Be careful killing this Ripper because there's another Ripper patrolling across the street by the Gas Station. Kill both to begin Phase 2 slightly west of the Gas Station.

Phase 2 - Camp out in the garage to map the Rippers to the west of it. When it's safe, go out of the back and go the back door of the wooden building to the west. One Ripper will patrol in here. Wait for it to reach the windows on the east side and go for the kill.

Head back to the rear of the building and go outside. Look around the western edge and Mark the stationary Ripper by the road. Don't kill it yet. Head into the two-floor building just west of you. Watch for the patrolling Ripper that walks along the front of this building, but don't kill him. Head for the stairs inside the building and make note of the stationary Ripper on the front porch. Go up the stairs inside the building.

At the front of the building on the second floor will be Ripper on the balcony. Kill it before heading downstairs. You'll want to wait for the patrolling Ripper to come by the Ripper on the porch. Wait for it to leave, then kill the one on the porch before proceeding to kill the patrolling Ripper. With them out of the way, head back to the Ripper you spotted standing by the road earlier. Take it out.

Phase 3 - This phase is just across the street. and to the west a little. Be very careful as they can easily spot you across the street. Dart over to the church. Go around the east side of the church to reach the back and head to the next building to the west by dropping off the ledge. Loop around to the west side of the building to find a Ripper. You'll find two Rippers around the front of the building. Be careful of their patterns and try to get the eastern Ripper first.

Phase 4 - A road branches off of the main road running south nearby. You'll find a bunch of Rippers (five or more) that group up across the street, especially in front of the blue house. It may be a little impractical to defeat them without getting into a firefight, so don't worry if things go sideways here. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of cover for you to sneak up on enemies. Try to save your heaviest weapons for later.

When you're done, head around to the SW corner of the blue house and you'll find a ladder on the ground. Prop it back up and explore the top floor of the house.

Escaping Town

With Lisa now in tow, move out of the house and head back to the road and a little way south. Use the large pallet for cover as you spy four Swarmers to the north on the road. Wait for them to pass and cross the street. Head up the hill to the east to find a yellow house with a police SUV in the yard.

Continue around the south side of the yellow house and stay outside the fence. Get into the bushes near the large hole in the fence on the south side. Throw a rock over the Swarmer to the south (be mindful of the Swarmer inside the fence to the north.

Go east through the next patch of bushes. Keep moving and take cover on the south side of the large rocks. You'll see two Swarmers to the south, a bush to the east, and two more Swarmers to the NE of the bush. When it's safe, head for the bush and throw rocks to lure the Swarmers away from the east.

When they've all turned west because of your rocks, head for the creek and follow it along to the giant statue by your bike.

That's a Bear

Get behind the blue car near the statue, and make sure to mark the Bear. Even if you get to your bike, you won't be able to leave without killing it.

Grab the Gas Can by the back of the blue car and toss it at the bear. Shoot it to cause an explosion. Backup further and try to lure the bear around the side of the blue car that has the red Oil Drum. When it gets near the drum, shoot it to blow that up as well.

Start running towards the back of the nearby building. There's a huge white Gas Tank at the back of the parking lot. Try to lure the bear to this and blow that up as well. Hopefully, by this point, it should be pretty roughed up. Start shooting it or throwing explosives. Make sure to dodge if it gets too close and hop barriers or windows to give yourself some breathing space.

Hopefully, this helped you save a fair about of ammo. If you need more, you'll have to scrounge from the buildings nearby. Once the bear is dead, hop on your bike and start riding.

Dark Ride

Follow the marked path back to Hot Springs. You may come across blockades on the road. Quickly scoot around them in whatever gap you find. Unfortunately, you can't deviate too far from the path, so when you come to the tunnel, you'll HAVE to go through it.

Eventually, Deacon will notice marauders. Lisa will hide, and you'll continue forward to clear them out. Make sure to search the area for whatever supplies you can find before your impending battle.

When you're ready, head to the ambulance and take cover on this side of it by the back. Three Drifters will take cover behind some makeshift barriers just beyond it. A shootout here will be the safest bet, but if you're more of the melee persuasion, they are close enough that you could probably kill them while taking minimal damage if you roll a lot.

Once they are all killed, you're free to ride out of the tunnel. Get back on the road and follow the marked path back to Hot Springs. When you get back to the camp, the mission will complete.

It's a Rifle, Not a Gun

After you finish talking to Copeland, use your Survival Vision to find a clue right in front of you. Follow the tracks that lead to the west and on to a road. On the road, you'll find Deer Scat that serves as your next clue. Follow the new tracks that lead to a cliff.

Take Copeland's gun, aim, zoom in on the Deer and shoot. You can shoot it anywhere. Even if you hit it in the head, it won't kill it.

Head down to where the Deer was and use your new ability to find another clue. Follow the new set of tracks until you find the body in the road. "Loot" the body to take the meat. Once it's collected, you'll chat with Copeland a little more and the mission will end.

We're Getting Low on Meat

This mission is a little bit of a pain. You'll need to hunt and kill animals to collect enough meat for Boozer. If there are animals nearby, a waypoint will appear, otherwise, the waypoint will send you way SE of Copeland's Camp. I recommend heading to the O'Leary Mountain Safehouse and filling up your tank. From here, you'll likely get a hit on some prey so you don't have to travel far.

Use the bear traps (remember, if the icon is blue, it's safe and you can't set it off) to help kill Wolves quickly. If you don't get enough, don't worry about it. You're far enough into the game that you'll find wolves pretty easily. Run other missions and you'll probably finish finding meat as you go about your business.

When you're done, return to Boozer to finish the mission.

Making Contact

Head for the marker on the map and you'll see another NERO chopper. You'll hop off your bike and make your way for the landing zone just over the hill. Much of this mission is about patience. The path is pretty safe as long as you don't rush.

Move down the hill and across the road to the bushes along the creek shore. When you get there, mark all of the NERO Soldiers and the Tech. When the Tech and his guard move to the north (taking most of them with him), head down across the creek and take cover behind the fallen tree bark.

From here, head north along the creek and move slowly through the rocks, sticking to the east side so the guards above won't see you. When you come out, take cover in the bushes just north of you.

You're about halfway there. There's another bush NE of the one you're in, but there's a guard patrolling to the east of it. Make sure he's not about to turn around and rush for the next set of bushes.

When that guard heads back to the east, make your way to the giant boulder to the north and into the bush just beyond. Head west and through the creek to find more bushes. Make your way up to the Tech and wait for his last guard to walk off. Once he's gone, head directly for O'Brian.

They Won't Let Me Leave

This is a strange mission. You literally just go to the waypoint in Hot Springs and talk to Lisa and this mission will be completed automatically. Upside? This changes you from night into day and puts you next to Tucker to collect a mission.

Nice and Bloody

Before heading out for this, you'll want to stock up on ammo, healing, and make sure to bring a sniper rifle and a primary weapon that can shoot quickly (so not single shot rifles, but shotgun could work).

You could potentially make a crossbow work but you want the sniper so you can deal with enemy snipers, making this one of the first good missions for silencers. If you can find or afford silencers for both your sniper and your pistol, you'll have a much easier time. You'll need to use them for single shots, though. Too many quick shots will give away your position anyway, at which point they become useless.

When you're ready, head for the Marauder Camp north of Crazy Willie's. You'll want to ditch your bike before heading off the main road onto the dirt path. Walk up and when you get closer, try to approach from the right side of the dirt path. If you can come up the hill from here, you'll be able to put yourself in a set of bushes.

You might be able to take out two Drifters near the front gate and counter-snipe the Sniper in the watchtower by the gate. Most of the enemies will be far enough in that they'll lose interest before they can find you. Sneak in the front gate and try to clear any Drifters walking back to their post.

Just inside the camp, follow the fence to the right as it wraps around the inside of the camp. Once there, you'll see a bush of grass and likely a patrolling Drifter. Kill him and get comfortable in the grass. If you have a silenced weapon, try to take out up to two Difters near the center of the camp. Remember to plan your attack so nobody sees the person get hit to minimize the chance you'll be noticed.

Make your way up to the platform under the large tower and work your way up to the mid-level killing any Drifters on the way. There could be as many as three Drifters camping out at the top of the building, so be careful coming up the stairs and quickly find cover. Clear the top floor and be ready for company.

After you've killed your target and taken your proof, several Drifters will ride into camp. They won't necessarily know where you are, so be careful as you descend the tower (or take up a position at the top). Be careful with these enemies as they have helmets on. This will prevent a headshot, so if you're going to snipe them, you're likely better off shooting them in the body twice. If you're closer, it can still make sense to go for the head, especially with a rapid-fire weapon.

If you have trouble, it can actually be a bit easier on the bottom floor due to the tables and railings everywhere that can be used for cover, but you'll have to look alive because they can fan out pretty fast and it's easy to lose them. Once they are all dead, make sure to loot the area for goodies before returning to Tucker for your payment.

The Rest of Our Drugs

Make your way to Marion Forks (might as well fill up at the nearby NERO checkpoint) and find the waypoint. You'll find a clue by the NE door of the burned down house.

When you investigate the clue, a Biker will take off. Hop on your bike and get after him.

This particular chase isn't much different than the one from Drugged Out of His Mind, but with a few more moving parts. Part way through, two more Bikers will come after you. These two are pretty frail comparatively, so ram into them or shoot them a couple of times to get rid of those pests pretty quickly before you continue on dealing with the main thief.

If you get rid of the main guy before the others, the mission will still end immediately, so if he's close to being stopped, you can just go for him. If you've been upgrading your bike, you're probably a bit faster and more nimble than you were before, so it'll be easier to ram into him, saving you so bullets in the end.

Get him off his bike, and you're done!
