  1. It really depends on the enemies you are facing and the skills your party is using. For boss battles the 2h gigasmash would be the way to go, but for normal battles you are likely better off with the 1h gigaslash. The main reason for that is that the gigaslash hits ALL enemies while the gigasmash hits a single group. The gigasmash will do higher damage when you need it, so if you need to take out stronger enemies use that. Gigasmash is also good if your party is doing enough damage to take out multiple enemies already.

The answers section is not intended for questions just wanting opinions, and doesn't work as well as the board for that. The board is much better because a lot more people visit the boards and will often give some great tips. In the answers section you may get a few responses, but this section is intended for in game assistance and not really set up for discussions or offering opinions.

    Good luck!

  2. Pretty much this. I never found much use for the Greatsword Giga-stuff myself, because it's heavy on MP and between other characters and Helichopter (which is also group-target), you have it covered. Gigaslash and Gigagash are perhaps the best mob-clearing moves the Hero will learn, and arguably one of only good reasons for using Swords over Greatswords (at least for normal battles). On the flipside, Quadraslash, when you learn it, also hits the entire field and can be used with Greatswords. Gigagash will out-damage it eventually toward the end of the game, however.

I generally recommend keeping the Hero committed to Greatswords (especially with certain Draconian options on), but at the very end of the game during Act 3, he can consistently use Gigagash/slash without as much MP expenditure and the damage gap closes with the two most powerful 1H Swords. If you really like seeing him clear enemy mobs, you can definitely have fun with Gigagash/slash prior to that.

As chaoyun2k noted, this is more of a board discussion topic than a question with a definitive answer.

  3. I think for where you are in the game, you should stick to Greatswords, because you will be finding Quadraslash in the near future for hitting the field, and you will still be able to use heavy-hitting single-target stuff like Unbridled Blade and Sword Dance.
