Why Does the Pep Power Electrolyte Spawn REGULAR liquid metal slimes?

  1. It's sad really.
So I followed the guide on youtube on how to level up really fast.
So far as it stands I did beat the second act and now I am in the part where all the green eyed (malicious monster) variants appear.

So I followed the guide, went to the summit arboria area, did the halleujah pep power - defended, and attempted to summon the metal slimes.
I hoped for the vicious variants but instead I got the regulars. So I ended up bagging 50k EXP and not 500k.
    What did I do wrong?
    Is it a bug?
Nobody's seemed to have this issue.
I'm below level 50. with the MC being 47.

    Help?

  1. The skill is based on your level too. I forgot where I saw it but I think you need to be at a higher level to find the vicious variants.

  2. The higher your level the better the metal slimes. But after using the Pep Power, it doesn't guarantee that the slimes won't flee. Critical hits are you best chance at instant killing the metal slimes before they flee. Or using metal slime weapons to kill them normally.
