 I - Introduction

   I1 - About the guide

Join with friends on an epic rock journey to save rock n’ roll.
Featuring an impressive 90+ track set list, a totally redesigned
rock-inspired guitar controller and a host of all-new gameplay
features, living room legends and their friends can strum, drum and
wail in the most immersive music videogame experience to date.
(Official game description)

I've been a huge fan of the Guitar Hero series since the begin, and I
think warriors of rock is the best one yet. Thats why I'm writing
this guide, to give help to others that are new to the game and to
help experienced players on some tricky tasks.
Anyway... n'uff said. Let's crack on.

   I2 - Terminology

GH - Guitar hero
WoR - Warriors of Rock
FC - Full Combo. This is when you hit 100% of the notes in a song
       without overstrumming.
Strum - Pressing the strum bar to hit a note
Alt Strum - Strum up and down during fast sections
HOPOs - Hammer-ons and Pull-offs. HOPOs are notes that don't require
you to strum, you just need to hit the previous note then
            hit the correct fret.
Sustain - A note that is strummed and held down for a while.
Tapping - Using 2 hands on the frets to FC tricky solos. A good
example of tapping is the intro to Through the Fire and
Flames on GH3 (expert) ... look it up on youtube.
SP - Star Power
Note Chart- The pattern notes appear during a song.
SP Path - A specific method of activating SP to achieve the highest
            possible score.
Scorehero - Scorehero.com is an awesome website where people document
            their scores on GH.
Sightread - The first ever time you play a song.
Squeezing - This is how you get the most points from a notes timing
window. You activate SP as late as possible during a notes
timing window, though still hitting that note. You then hit
the last note before SP runs out nice and early, 'squeezing'
            it in during SP.

 BB - Basics for Beginners
   BB1 - Tutorials

If you're new to GH the best thing you can do is get straight into the
tutorials. Playing the game with extremely helpful commentary is the
best way to learn. It'll guide you through the absolute basics; hitting
notes, sustains, chords and HOPOs.

   BB2 - Controllers

The GH guitar has 5 frets, a strum bar, a whammy bar and It's wireless.
The WoR guitar is designed to look heavy metal, and to tie in with the
over-the-top quest.

The drum set is made up of 6 components; 2 symbols, 3 drums, and a kick
pedal. Most people find playing with the pedal a real challenge, as it's
hard to keep 2 rythms going at once. You can turn on 'auto-kick' in the
extras menu.

The microphone ... well, uh ... you sing into it ... and you hit the
top to activate SP. That's all I got.

   BB3 - Star Power

SP is a key element in GH. To achieve SP you must FC at least 2 SP
phases, you can then fill the SP meter by FCing 2 more SP phases.
This'll make your SP last longer. Alternatively, you can use the
whammy bar to increase SP during sustains in SP phases.

You can use SP to acheive a higher score by using a path. Or, you can
save it up and use it to help you pass tricky solos.

 T - Tips and tricks

    T1 - Using your pinky

When you're ready to hit medium mode the blue not comes into play
and therefore so does your pinky finger.
If you're are progressing from easy to medium you're most likely to
find it quite difficult. The only way to improve is practice. Start
out on the easier songs and get used to using your pinky.
You might consider ignoring your pinky and just sliding across to the
blue note, and although this would work fine I suggest against it.
The reason for this is simple; when you start nailing medium mode and
want to progress to hard the dreaded orange note gets involved. You
won't be able to slide from yellow to orange. You'll need to slide
from blue to orange with your pinky.

    T2 - Hammer-ons/Pull-offs

Keep your eye out for HOPOs during a song, they're similar to normal
notes except they have a plain white center. You don't need to strum
them, as long as you strum the previous note and hit the next note
with correct timing it'll register.

During long guitar solos on higher difficulties you'll get a string
of HOPOs, with the difficult phases you can even giving tapping a go.

    T3 - Hyperspeed

Hyperspeed was a cheat in earlier versions of GH, but in WoR you
can set it without entering any cheat code. What it essentially
does is increase the speed at which the notes come towards you, but
at the same time it increases the distance in between each note.
Although the notes come at you faster, because of the increased
distance inbetween each note you don't play the song at any faster
pace. Most people find using hyperspeed easier as they identify
each note quicker and easier.

To activate hyperspeed go to extras in the band lobby, you can turn
it on there and choose from 5 different levels - 1 being a slight
increase in speed, 5 being ridiculously fast. Level 3 is my
personal preference.

    T4 - Cheats

who posted them :)

 Q - Quest

    Q1 - Quest mode

A new edition to WoR is Quest mode. It introduces a more story driven
aspect to GH. I won't spoil anything for you, but in short, you have
to assemble an army of rock warriors to defeat a bad guy. I must say
I was skeptical about the Quest mode but it's a really fun way to
unlock new songs.

you just go for the other trophies and this'll come.

    S2 - Ultimate Answerer
Earn all Stars from any one song (excluding the Power Challenge)
You just gotta pick an easy song, my suggestion would be 'Bleed
it out'.

     S3 - Diamond Master
As a single player, earn Diamond on two or more Challenges on
a single play of a song (Quickplay+)
Easiest way to this for me was playing 'How you Remind Me' on
expert bass. The 2 challenges are seriously easy.

     S4 - Divine Liberator
Free the Demigod of Rock (Quest)
Quest specific ... can't miss it

     S5 - Axe Claimer

Earn all the Power Stars from all character chapters (Quest)
Toughhh... takes some time. Play in easy and just grind out
allllll the stars. Be patient.

     S9 - String Twins
Complete a song with only a Guitarist and Bassist, both
earning the same score (Quickplay+)
This trophy is ridiculous.... thank **** for GHTunes!
Search 'String twins' and download the song of your choice, play it,
and the trophy will be yours.

     S10 - Chosen One
Beat Fury of the Storm as a solo Drummer on Hard or higher
difficulty (Quickplay+)
The only advice I can give is practice. This is a seriously tough
song, and, unless you are a good drummer, will cause you serious
problems. If you really want this trophy, you're gonna have to
put some serious practice time in.

     S11 - Hand Multiplier
Beat Black Widow of La Porte as a solo Expert Guitarist
(Quickplay+, except Power Challenges)
Save up all the SP you can and hold on to it, when/if you're in
the red and think you're on the verge of failure activate.
But again, practice makes perfect :)

     S12 - Giant Slayer
Beat Holy Wars...The Punishment Due as a solo Bassist on Hard
or higher difficulty (Quickplay+)
Same advice as above, hold on to SP untill you need it! This
isn't too hard as 'Hand Multiplier' as it's not required to
be done on expert, hard will do nicely. This song, however,
is one of the hardest on the bass. It's also awesome :)

     S13 - Seasoned Competitor
Play Pro Faceoff, Momentum, Momentum+, Streakers, Do or Die,
and Perfectionist at least once each (Competitive)
Easy... you don't have to win/pass, you just have to play it.

   G - Gold Trophies

There's only one! :O

     G1 - Ace Astrologer
Earn a total of 2000 Stars (Quickplay+)
This'll take a while, just go for the other trophies and you
should get close to 2000 stars. It may take you some
serious extra hours with the axe though.

    P - Platinum

Collect all the above!

Congrats, you just got all trophies in GH:WoR
