INTRODUCTION G0100 =============================================================================== Welcome to the 'Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4' Achievments/Trophy Guide for the Xbox 360 and Playstation3. This document will help you get you that 1000/1000 Gamerscore. NO ACHIEVEMENTS REQUIRE YOU TO GO ONLINE nor the need for a second player/controller. Suggestions, comments or errors - email me about it. Enjoy! =============================================================================== 02.) BASICS G0200 =============================================================================== Some achievements are automatically completed by simply playing the game. Others require some abnormal tasks you normally would never do. Luckily most in this game are easy. The best way to play the game is finish the story mode for all levels first to learn all the magic and unlock some basic characters. This also opens up Free Play. Next you can replay the first level and get everything done there, and then you probably still lack a Dark Mage which can be found in 2-6 (Basilisk) by using the new Griphook character you got from the first level. Eventually you will also need Hagrid and having him in Free Play makes it much faster as he can pull chains you would have to build strength potions for. After you are done with all the levels again you should tackle the entire Hogwarts Castle. This is a rather messy thing and I suggest you look out for red owls as this means there is a parcel in the same room. Once you clear enough you have unlocked some extras which make this even simpler. The multipliers are always good but I also highly recommend the locators for saving time. There is no locator for the Students in Peril but exploring will eventually net you all. With plenty of money and the locators you can tackle the game's achievements/trophies easier. Note that Voldemort is only unlocked at the very end of the game, after finding 200 gold bricks and playing an extra level, and then you still need to actually purchase him from the shop! =============================================================================== 03.) ACHIEVEMENTS G0300 =============================================================================== This is for the Xbox 360 Achivements, I do not list the trophy colors and the lack of the Platinum trophy which is as usual "get all other trophies". The descriptions are still the same. The first list are for achievements you will not need to do anything but play the normal game. Automatic: `````````` Complete the story: Junior (50) Complete Year One Story Levels Senior (50) Complete Year Two Story Levels Prefect (50) Complete Year Three Story Levels Head Boy (50) Complete Year Four Story Levels Story Complete! (70) Complete the Story Levels in all four years Teacher's pet (70) Complete All Story Lessons (Single Player Only) (the extra magic lesson after the game is complete does not count!) Others: ``````` Animagus (10) Description: Unlock all Animagi (Single Player Only) Note: This actually means buying a certain set of characters: Sirius, Remus, Peter, McGonagall and Rita Skeeter (by the way Rita Skeeter is a little tricky to find, she is in the lobby of Slytherin and you must pull the chains in the water next to the entrace to the rooms by using Hagrid. There is a scene for this earlier where you place the chains. This will open up spewing water and you can reach Rita's character icon. The locator for this is very confusing.) Arachnophobic (10) Description: Defeat 20 spiders with Ron Note: In the level with spider-boss (Follow the Spiders) you can simply keep killing them with Ron. There is nothing hard about this at all and it does not even take that long. Back in Time (10) Description: Use the Time-Turner Note: Once you get the time-turner (near the end of year 2) you actually return to your dorm room with a grandfather clock nearby. You can get your achievement right here but you can also wait for later when you explore more as you must travel back in time at least 3-4 times throughout the castle to get some treasure. Boo! (10) Description: Scare 20 students using a ghost character Note: Buy a ghost character and scare 20 people with the B button (O button on the PS3), Best is to find a group of people like in front of the Great Hall and later in the game you have all the other school's groups walking around. Nevertheless, 20 is scared very, very quickly. Building Blocks (30) Description: Complete all the LEGO Builder tutorial levels (Single Player Only) Note: There are four tutorial levels and they can be found in the basement of the Gringott's vault. The first one is unlocked with the 2nd bonus level (there are some criteria's for unlocking these levels) and then the others are with Level 3, 4 and 5. Just play through the all, they are really short and do not really help you build anything :/ Chilled out (10) Description: Freeze 20 characters using Glacius Note: Glacius is a superfluous magic you can buy in Dagion Alley. This one is very annoying to use as it attached to the top spell and will cycle through with all other "weirdo" magic spells. The best idea is to ONLY buy the Glacius spell to avoid long delays. Go to some characters standing still (outside the Great Hall perhaps) and just target them and wait for the Glacius spell to come up, then release. This will take a bit of time but you will surly be glad when this is over. Crest Collector (30) Crest Fanatic (30) Ultra Collector (30) The Ultimate Collector (30) Description: Collect all of the house crests in Year 1/2/3/4 (Single Player) Note: Finding all crests requires to destroy certain objects in a level or triggering something. I highly recommend you use the crest locator which will point out what to interact with. Dark Wizards (10) Description: Buy every version of Voldemort (Quirrell/Tom Riddle/Voldemort) (Single Player Only) Note: Buy Professor Quirrel, Tom Riddle and Voldemort characters. Voldemort is not unlocked until you have 200 gold bars and have played the extra level at Borgin and Burkes (that is the shop at the end of Knockturn Alley). Defeating the Object (15) Description: Defeat the mountain troll, using Quirrell Note: Re-play level 1-2 and use Professor Quirrell to defeat the Mountain Troll. There is no difference than any other character so this should be easy. Ghostly Treasure (15) Description: Collect 500 ghost studs Note: During the main story game you will have the ghosts guide your way through Hogwarts Castle and leave a trail of ghost studs. If you always follow them then this should be done by the end of Year 2 already but it is really easy to get enough. If you fail and the ghosts stop moving around at the end of game then you can turn all studs into ghost studs by using the red parcel Extra. Good Dog (10) Description: Defeat 20 enemies with Fang Note: You can either do that in a level where you have Fang and wait for the bees to respawn or 'Follow the Spiders' in Free Play and keep killing spiders. Lumos Solem (15) Description: Destroy 50 Devil's Snare plants Note: Devil's Snare are the plants that come from small round holes, not the large one at the edge of the screens. You actually have to destroy 50 and throughout the main game you might only encounter 20-30. If you replay 'Facing the Enemy' there are always a good amount at the start once you took care of the Ceberus puppy. You can save and exit when you reach the chess board and then restart, but it will still take a few goes. A good alternative is to unlock the Build levels in Gringott's vault and place lots and lots of these plants, then play to destroy them all. Muggle Trouble (15) Description: Defeat 10 enemies with a Muggle character Note: In case you do not know, a Muggle is a non-Magic character. This means you want some people from the real world (e.g. Milkman) and either kill bees in the forest or spiders in 'Follow the Spiders'. They can only roll to attack but it kills them nonetheless and you only need 10. Multiplier (10) Description: Collect 10 million studs in one level (Single Player Only) Note: You must have at least 2x and 4x, and I think even 6x in order to get enough studs in one level. It does not really matter what level once you have enough multipliers. Switch them on and collect all the studs you need. If you are going for 100% then you should have them anyway. Power Up! (45) Description: Collect all of the Red Bricks (Single Player Only) Note: You get red bricks for delivering red parcels throughout the castle. When you find all 20 you get the achivement, you do not actually have to buy them later but I highly suggest getting some. Quick Quidditch (15) Description: Complete the Quidditch level within five minutes Note: Rumor has it you can do either Quidditch level to get this but there is really no point in attempting it in the second year. Play 'A Jinxed Broom' in Free Play and start with Harry in the lead. Five minutes is plenty of time but you should know the level a little by now and switching characters/magic quickly helps too. From the start, drop down. move the crates and fly over the gap, then continue along until you reach the tubes. Use Hermione's cat (Ron's rat will do too if you must) to climb through the tube and scare the girl above. Run back left and pile up the Lego pieces to get up. I do not think I need to tell you that piling them up "good enough" is much faster than trying for fancy Tetris moves. Move the crates at the edge and then destroy the wood to build another bookcase. Use Hermione to unlock it. The rest of the level is straightforward, just build up the steps and dump the guy by interacting with the painting, build more steps later and eventually fire the rockets by hitting the statue nearby. You should do this in like 4 minutes. Quidditch Team (10) Description: Buy the entire Gryffindor Quidditch team from Book One (Single Player Only) Note: Simply buy the following characters: Harry (Quidditch), Oliver Wood, Alicia Spinnet, Angelina Johnson, Katie Bell, Fred (Quidditch), George (Quidditch). You have to find their character icons first of course. Quiet Please! (15) Description: Turn the sound and music down to 0 in the options menu whilst in the library Note: Once you find the library in Hogwarts, open the menu and choose Options. Switch music Off and turn the sound to 0/10. You should have the results immediately. Quirrell Quandary (15) Description: Defeat Quirrell in the Quirrell boss fight, using Voldemort Note: Once you have Voldemort (takes 200 gold bricks to unlock etc.), replay 'Facing the Enemy' in Free Play and pick Voldemort from the list, then use him in the final battle (he is actually the best character so you can use him throughout the level, including the key hunt). He can also do the face attack just like Harry would so do it three times to defeat Quirrell. Role Reversal (15) Description: Defeat Harry (as Voldemort), in the Graveyard Note: This can be done at any point in the last level of the game (The Dark Lord Returns). Play Free Play and pick Voldemort (takes 200 gold bricks to unlock etc.) Solid Snape (15) Description: Hide in a barrel as Snape Note: This joke is actually not sooooo quickly done. First you actually have to unlock Snape, and then when you finally buy him you need to find a barrel. There is one near the bathrooms in Hogwarts, or during the boss fight with the Basilik, but you can also just build a level and place a barrel, then play it with Snape. Either way, you can do this towards the end of the game so do not worry too much at first. Stud Magnet (30) Description: Get True Wizard in every level (Single Player Only) Note: Get a certain amount of studs in a level to unlock this. It can also be done in Free Play and I highly suggest you switch on a Multiplier to make this a breeze. Student Rescue (45) Description: Rescue all students in peril (Single Player Only) Note: There are 24 studens through the level but there are another 26 students throughout Hogwarts Castle. It will take you a whie to find them all and I will not list them all here as this is something you can find in a full guide. The Bonus Level is Yours (70) Description: Collect all of the Gold Bricks (Single Player Only) Note: Since you can only play the Bonus levels by unlocking gold bricks, and the last one requires having found all others first, you can only complete these with everything else found already. The gold bricks can be found in levels (4 each: 1 for completing the level, 1 for True Wizard, 1 for House Crests and 1 for Student in Peril), 1 in Diagon Alley and 1 in Knockturn Alley, 4 in the pub's basement after you have finished all the level's gold bricks, 12 can be bought in the shops, and the rest are all in Hogwarts castle. I strongly suggest using the gold brick locator to find them all there. Note that there is currently a glitch that the gold brick locator still shows one in the libary's second area but in fact there is nothing left for you to find there. Watch Out! (15) Description: Knock over ten characters using a ride-able object Note: A lot of ride-able objects are needed to find treasure. You will therefore get this automatically by riding a plunger in the courtyard and bumping into the characters here. Wonderful Weasleys (10) Description: Buy the entire Weasley family (Single Player Only) Note: Buy all of these characters when you find their icons: Ron, Ginny, Fred, George, Arthur, Molly, Percy. You're the Best (70) Description: Complete the game to 100% (Single Player Only) Note: To complete the game you have to find everything in all the levels, find all students, gold and characters in all area. Press Start and have a look at your stats to see what you are missing. The character stat should still be one short until you unlock Voldemort. Once you get him then the game should be 100% if the stats below are also all maxed. =============================================================================== YY.)
