Welcome to my Dynasty Warriors Gundam: Reborn FAQ/Walkthrough, which is set to
guide you through the game's Official and Ultimate Modes. It will also attempt
to show you how to unlock all of the pilots, as well as the Mobile Suits and
even partners.

This is the fourth game in the Dynasty Warriors Gundam series and the basic
gameplay is still the same. If you don't like Dynasty Warriors, you might not
like this game, unless you're a huge fan of Gundam in general. The game can get
monotonous at times, but there's just something about beating the crap out of
hundreds of enemies.

            O~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~O

If you've never played a game like this before, Dynasty Warriors Gundam: Reborn
is an action hack-n-slash game, where the objective is to pretty much go around
with one character and destroy/defeat as many enemies as possible. The basic
gameplay is similar to that of Dynasty Warriors, where each Mobile Suit has a
certain moveset at their disposal. Of course, the Gundam series add their own
gameplay mechanics into the mix, to differentiate itself from other Warrior
titles.

      .--------------------.
======|  GENERAL GAMEPLAY  |
      '--------------------'
As previously mentioned, the basic gameplay is derived from the Dynasty Warriors
series, with your character controlling one of many different Mobile Suits (or
Gundams/MS). Each MS has a moveset associated with it, with normal attacks
assigned to the Square button and charge attacks to the Triangle button. There
are two meters that are used for special (Musou) attacks, as well as Burst mode.

The moveset of the Mobile Suit is directly affected by the level of the
Character piloting it. At level 1, a Gundam piloted by a Pilot will only be able
to use a limited number of attacks. As the Character levels up, which they do by
destroying/defeating enemies, the Gundam they pilot will eventually gain new
moves.

There are two different game modes, an Official Mode and an Ultimate Mode.
Official Mode recreates battles from actual Gundam series, such as Mobile Suit
Gundam and Zeta Gundam. Ultimate Mode features What-If stories that are labeled
as operations, with more unlocked as you complete previous ones.

As for battles, there is a victory condition and a defeat condition, although in
some, they can change to include new ones or remove set ones already there. The
battlefield is split into actual enemy/ally fields, which are red and blue,
respectively. Players can capture these fields by defeating enemies to deplete a
gauge.

Sometimes, players will have to fight another pilot, which are called Aces.
These Aces are able to use their own musou attacks, as well as enter Burst mode.
One other thing to watch out for is having to defeat Battleships, which behave
similar to enemy fields. They have their own gauge, and any enemies defeated
within their circle of influence will deplete it. However, the ship will fire at
you, which is marked on the ground and charged shots that hit the ship will make
more enemies appear, as well as disable the ship for a short time.

Burst Mode is an optional mode for Mobile Suits that can be accessed by pressing
R2 whenever the curved gauge in the bottom left is full (it can be shut off to
preserve the gauge by pressing the R2 again). This increases attack power, as
well as granting the Mobile Suit their full repertoire of attacks, should they
not have access to all of them.

Some Mobile Suits have access to an entirely different moveset, or even get an
add-on to their suit (like with the Strike Freedom). One of the main draws about
using Burst Mode comes from having a partner assigned to a Pilot. While in Burst
Mode, triggering the Musou attack (Circle button) will make the Mobile Suit do
its normal musou attack, but after it is finished, the partner will come in and
do theirs.

      .----------.
======|  SKILLS  |
      '----------'
As players finish battles, the Characters will earn Team Points that can be used
to purchase skills for that Character. Any character can equip up to six skills,
and each skill can cost anywhere from 100 Team Points to 500 points. Some skills
have multiple levels, with each level increasing in cost. These skills can help
increase the amount of Team Points to experience and even increases fighting
abilities.

      .-----------------.
======|  UPGRADE PLANS  |
      '-----------------'
Another spoil of battles are upgrade plans for the Gundams and Mobile Suits.
These plans are graded using letters, being S and A through E, with S considered
the best and E being the worst. The stats for each Mobile Suit are connected to
these plans, with players being able to combine the upgrade plans with one
another to improve stats even more.

Stats aren't the only thing that can be upgraded, as players can spend materials
that are found during battles to improve the weapon systems on a Mobile Suit.
Not only will this make certain attacks stronger, but it will also change the
attacks sometimes, like making a beam sword longer or having thicking beam
shots.

However, each plan is only able to combine with another a limited number of
times. For example, a rank E plan can only be combined with another up to 10
times, meaning you would have to combine that one with another plan to be able
to combine it with more. Also, upgrading the weapons will take up one of the
customization slots.

Note that each rank of the upgrade plans will have a limit to how high the stats
can go. Also, the lower ranks (E and D) only have one stat per plan (like Armor
on the Body plan), while the other ranks will have multiple stats that seemingly
are random. The following is a chart that list the ranks, as well as the cap on
the various stats and the number of times you can combine.

       .================================================================.

      .----------------------.
======|  1 - Gundam Rising!  |
      '----------------------'
This is a rather easy battle, with you being thrown into an one-on-one fight
with Gene. If this is your first battle, get used to the controls and you can
actually use R3 to lock on to Gene. This allows you to keep track of him easier,
as it's possible he will try to dash away from you at times. If you keep
pressing an attack, utilizing a dash after a short combo and keeping pressure,
you can stun Gene.

Upon his defeat, the area will open up and the grunts will come after you, so
keep fighting them until you see a notice tha some Scout Commanders have
appeared. These will have a bunch of grunts around them and will start attacking
White Base, so head there and start taking them out. Once you do, a red Zaku II
will appear (it's Char's), whose defeat will signal the end of this battle.

- UNLOCK Gene as a partner

      .-------------------------.
======|  2 - Re-Entry to Earth  |
      '-------------------------'
Your first objective in the beginning of the battle is to capture the two fields
near the bottom and left sides of the map. While you're doing this, Char will
show up and go after White Base, so take a break and make sure Char goes down,
which will make him retreat. If you haven't done so, go back and capture the two
fields previously mentioned.

You may have noticed that you are being fired at by beams from the ship in the
northeast corner. This is the Musai and if you go there, you can get rid of it
by fighting grunts until the Musai's health is depleted. Doing so will get rid
of the cannon shots. Note that after capturing the two initial fields, some
Pursuit Commanders show up.

Think of the Pursuit Commanders as slightly stronger grunts. There are three
initially, and three more will show up after those are destroyed. This will
prompt Bright to mention that a camp must be close, which will now show up on
your map. Capture this field, then destroy the remaining Pursuit Commanders
still on the battlefield.

This will now be the final stretch, as Char will show up again, as well as
Crown. Char will stay still, but Crown will chase after your position. Defeat
Crown first, then go and finish off Char to complete the level.

- UNLOCK Crown as partner

      .--------------------.
======|  3 - Garma's Fate  |
      '--------------------'
You start the battle controlling the Guncannon, which is being piloted by Kai
Shiden. Start off by defeating the nearby Attack Commander, then go after the
second one on the map. Once you do this, a bunch of new fields will appear and
you'll switch control to Amuro and the Gundam. Go around and capture these
fields until the Gaw ship arrives.

If you remember from the previous battle, you can either keep fighting grunts on
the ground to deplete the Gaw's health or you can take to the skies (R1) and
trying attacking it up there. After the Gaw goes down, Char will show up in a
Mobile Suit, so go and take him down as well. From here on out, things will
start getting a little hairy.

Some Attack Commanders will show up, so go ahead and destroy those, then some
Gaws will appear and start carpet bombing your areas. It is likely that these
bombing attacks will capture your fields, so you will want to recapture them
again. At the same time, you need to go around and take out all of the Attack
Commanders that show up.

Doing this will make Char appear once again, so head to his position and knock
him senseless. He will, of course, retreat, but he sics Garma and another Gaw
near White Base's position. As you're trying to take this ship down, it will
likely being moving towards White Base, so hurry and bring it to the ground. The
battle will be over once you do this.

- UNLOCK Garma Zabi as partner

      .--------------------------.
======|  4 - The Threat of Zeon  |
      '--------------------------'
The battle begins with some Zeon forces surrounding White Base, so you will need
to go to both fields and take them out. Of course, after taking the first field,
Ramba Ral decides to show his face not too far from White Base, bringing with
him some Reinforcement Commanders. Defeat them all and White Base will begin
heading towards Odessa Base.

Of course, this makes two fields appear in front of the gates leading to Odessa.
This will also make a new defeat condition, with both Kai and Hayato having to
stay alive. Remove those two fields, then the gates leading to Odessa will open,
and a bunch of new fields will appear. Take out the first two on the northern
and southern routes, and Kai and Hayato will get ambushed by Ambush Commanders
at the second sets.

However, at around the same time, Gaia, Ortega and Mash will appear near White
Base, so you will need to rescue both Kai and Hayato, as well as the White Base.
Once you have done that, you can start moving your way towards Odessa Base, with
the knowledge that Gaia and Ortega will appear once more near it. Defeat them
both, capture the Odessa Base (will need to defeat a Garrison Commander), then
take down Ramba Ral, who shows up afterwards, to finish the battle.

- UNLOCK Gaia, Ortega, Mash and Matilda Ajan as partners; Ramba Ral as pilot

      .-------------------------.
======|  5 - Tragedy in Jaburo  |
      '-------------------------'
The battle starts out with White Base surrounded and it's up to you to take down
the Attack Commanders that are there. Of course, things get a bit more
complicated when more Attack Commanders show up in the southeast corner, so you
need to head over there and make sure your allied fields don't get conquered.
Once you take care of them, some Combat Engineers will appear in the northeast
and start heading towards Jaburo Core.

So, you need to hurry up and take out those Combat Engineers and when you do,
more will show up and go after White Base now. Hurry up to the White Base's
position and remove the Combat Engineers before they deal heavy damage to it.
When they are gone, some Gaws will appear and start supplying the battlefield
with reinforcements.

Only one will appear at first, but another will appear afterwards and things can
get a little bit hectic. You should have more than enough experience now dealing
with the ships, so take them out how you wish. Around the same time or after
downing both ships, an unknown unit shows up, which happens to be Char. He will
be accompanied by some units named Royal Guard, but they are nothing special and
the battle is over once Char is downed.

      .------------------------------.
======|  6 - Terror of the Big Zam!  |
      '------------------------------'
There are five enemy fields at the start of the battle, but concentrate on the
southeast one, as Sleggar will head there. It is also unlikely you will capture
all five by yourself, as your allies are pretty good at the start of the battle
in capturing the fields. Once this is finished, the Federation will prep their
secret weapon, which is a massive laser cannon down the center of the map.

Stay out of its range, which is shown on your map, as it will blow open a hole
in Solomon Base. This will allow you to go inside, with your primary goal being
to capture Solomon Core. Feel free to get the other two fields first before
going after the Core. Of course, this will trigger Dozle appearing with Big Zam,
a Mobile Armor that is significantly bigger than your suit.

Its appearance will capture the remaining allied fields, so go and recapture the
one with White Base in it, then go after Big Zam. Now, Big Zam has four spots
located on its body that can be broken, which are shown as green shield icons.
The first two you will notice are the legs, with another being the back of its
"head" area and the last being the cannon on the front.

Big Zam has four main attacks, with its most devasting being the large cannon
blasts. One might be followed by some simple shots, then the big shot will
happen. This one is slightly away from its body, while the other one will be
closer to its body. The only other attack has it swinging its legs at you.
Simply remove the armor, then keep attacking it until it goes down for good,
finishing the battle.

- UNLOCK Sleggar Law as pilot

      .---------------------.
======|  7 - A Cosmic Glow  |
      '---------------------'
At the beginning of the battle, the Salamis battleships are being attacked by
something and it's up to you to rescue them. There are three in total and if all
get shot down, then you will fail the level. To rescue them, all you have to do
is capture the field like normal. It's difficult to save all three, but as long
as you save one, the battle will continue.

After saving a battleship or two (or all three), some Attack Commanders will
appear and surround White Base, so rush over there and help Bright out. Of
course, things don't stay easy, as Ridden will appear nearby while likely
fighting the Attack Commanders. To add to that, Char will even show up towards
the eastern side of the map.

Char's defeat will make Lalah appear in the Elnath. This is a simple battleship
fight here, so you know what to do. However, Lalah fires off shots pretty
quickly, so make sure to keep an eye out for the targeting reticule on the
"ground." Defeating Lalah will make Char reappear, with him going down
completing the battle.

- UNLOCK Lalah Sune as partner

      .--------------------------------.
======|  8 - Space Fortress A Baoa Qu  |
      '--------------------------------'
You and your allies are launching an attack on A Baoa Qu and in order to breach
it, you will need to capture the three enemy fields on the map from the
beginning. With all three under your control, an Attack Commander of yours will
go inside the base, so follow him. Some enemy defenders will appear, along with
an enemy field, so take care of them.

At the same time, some enemy forces will appear outside of the base and attack
White Base, which will lose both engines. Control will now switch over to Hayato
and the Guncannon, so concentrate on clearing the grunts and Attack Commanders
surrounding White Base. Once you do that, some more enemy fields will appear, as
well as Amuro and Char inside the base (you'll still be controlling Hayato).

Ignore them both and get ready for another distraction, Ridden, as he will
appear and go after White Base. With him out of the way, go back to your
previous mission and capture the three new enemy fields. Doing this will make
the Federation surround A Baoa Qu and control will switch back to Amuro. Fight
with Char until he retreats back to Fortress Core.

When you get to Fortress Core, debris will start falling and sealing off escape
roots. Of course, before even worrying about escaping, you need to capture the
enemy field to lift the barriers surrounding. The debris will fall at certain
spots, meaning you have to find another way around. Also, Zeon forces will show
up, place a barrier and you have to capture those enemy fields before
continuing.

All of this has to be done in 6 minutes, so make sure you don't sit around and
wait while the timer is ticking. The third enemy field will be the final one, so
you can finally escape after capturing it. Back in space, there will be no one
left around, but Char will show up for one final battle. Defeating him will end
the battle and you will clear this Official Mode.

- UNLOCK Amuro Ray, Char Aznable, Bright Noa as pilots

      .------------------------------.
======| EX - Mobilize the Big Zam! |
      '------------------------------'
This mission is unlocked after you complete the Official Mode for Mobile Suit
Gundam. Once you do, go back and Select Area for it to have the mission show up.

You will be controlling the Big Zam Mobile Armor in this mission, which has a
limited moveset. The normal attack string just does kicks, while the charge
attack is its sweeping laser shot. Its musou attack is the rotating laser
attack, where you can move while using it.

When the mission begins, your first goal is to capture the three enemy fields on
the map. Get used to the controls and moveset of Big Zam and once you have
gotten all three, you will want to move to the left or right sides, as the Solar
System will be firing soon. Note that this is shown on your map, so as long as
you're out of that range, you'll be fine.

When it has fired, your next objective is to shoot down 1,000 enemies in order
to defend Solomon Base. Luckily, this can be achieved thanks to three more enemy
fields showing up, as well as Hayato and Kai appearing a little bit later. Note
that some Attack Commanders will head towards Solomon Base. Make sure that you
maximize the kills after capturing a field and destroying the powered down
suits.

It seems that the game only counts 1,000 kills after the mission starts, and
Federation reinforcements will keep coming, so you shouldn't have any shortage
of enemies to kill. Amuro will show up whenever there is a message about there
being a monster and he will retreat temporarily upon his defeat. Once you have
completed all missions thus far, a cutscene will occur and then Amuro reappears.
Defeat him this time to finish the mission.

- UNLOCK Dozle Zabi as pilot

Clear Official Mode Stage "Mobile Suit Gundam"
- Amuro Ray (MSG) unlocked as pilot

======|  1 - The Black Gundam  |
      '------------------------'
The battle begins with two enemy fields on the map and it's your job to capture
both of them. While you're doing this, Kacricon will show up, so when he gets
into your range, destroy him. Once you have captured both fields, some Pursuit
Commanders will appear north of your position, so head to them and destroy both.
During the fight, it appears a hole in the colony's outer wall, so you can use
that to escape.

So, head towards that hole in the colony wall and you'll be in outer space. When
you first get outside, some enemy reinforcements will appear. Take them all out
and then you'll see a message that Kamille's parents have been taken hostage,
with an enemy field showing up to the south. Go there, capture the field and
Jerid will appear close by. Defeat him to end the battle.

      .-------------------------------.
======|  2 - Entering the Atmosphere  |
      '-------------------------------'
Your sole objective at the beginning of the battle is to capture the enemy
fields and assist your allies in their descent down to Earth. Not long into the
battle, Kacricon will attack Emma in the field in the northeast corner, so hurry
over there and provide some assistance. Now, you don't want to spend more time
than needed to capture each field, so once you do, move onto the next one.

This is because you'll likely get messages about your allies are struggling, so
the best offense at the moment is a quick strike to capture the fields and
nothing more. Note that Jerid will show up at some point as well. Once all
fields have been captured, the Argama will begin entering the atmosphere, but
some enemy pursuit forces will appear.

When all of them are destroyed, Jerid and Kacricon will reappear. This part will
be timed, though, as you only have three minutes to take both down. If you fail
in doing that, then you will get a game over. Once both are finished, the battle
will end.

======|  3 - The Winds of Jaburo  |
      '---------------------------'
You begin the battle with Jerid right in front of you, so defeat him and then
capture the field that appears after he is gone. After the second field is under
your control, the gate to Jaburo Base will open and enemy defense forces will
appear. Your goal right now is to escort Quattro to Jaburo Core, so take out the
enemy field in the way, as well as the defense forces.

As you are infiltrating the base, you will get a message that Reccoa has managed
to enter as well. Heading towards Jaburo Core, you will get another message that
you need to capture the four small fields and search for Reccoa. While doing
this, it is likely that Quattro will chime in and mention something about a bomb
below the base and that you have to escape.

This starts a ten minute timer, so keep taking the small fields to hunt down
Reccoa, then head towards the green marker on your map. You have to head west,
go south a bit and then fly east to get there, and there will be enemy defense
commanders in the way. When you manage to get to the escape point, Jerid shows
up, so defeat him and the battle will end.

======|  4 - Cinderella Four  |
      '-----------------------'
The battle begins by pitting you against a Mobile Armor, with this one being the
Psyco Gundam. It can shoot beams from the fingers on the right arm, has a shield
on its left arm, can grab you and does a sweeping attack with its right arm. She
can also transform and do a charging attack of sorts, but this is generally wide
and it can't turn very well.

If you haven't fought one in this game before, destroy the shielded parts to
expose the Gundam underneath, where you can damage it. You don't want to go all
gung-ho on the Mobile Armor at first, but do few attacks and dash away to avoid
getting hit. Once a certain amount of damage is afflicted, Four will leave and
you can explore the rest of the map.

Your first spot to head to is the northeast corner, where the Audhumia is
located, as Attack Commanders will appear and start attacking it. While you're
taking care of them, some reinforcements will show up and go after the Audhumia
as well. Also, Amuro will go off to search for some relief supplies.

While doing this, he will come to a spot where an ambush will occur. As long as
you're finished with the Attack Commanders going after the Audhumia, go ahead
and help Amuro fend off the ambush. After doing this, clean up the rest of the
map, going after the enemy fields and any remaining reinforcements from earlier.

Once all fields are captured, Four will show up in the northeast corner. You
will want to try and break all the shields in this battle, as you will get to
defeat her now. It also seems the Psyco Gundam gains a new move when it gets
lower on health, as it will spray a hail of lasers in front of its body. Note
that Amuro will participate in the battle against Four, so you will likely need
to stick close to him if his health gets low. Finishing off Four will end the
battle.

======|  5 - Scirocco Rises  |
      '----------------------'
Start off the battle by going after the two enemy fields closest to your
position and while you're doing this, Sarah will show up, going after Haman.
Destroy Sarah, then start heading towards the center part of the map. While
doing that, it's likely that Jerid has shown up as well, so destroy him whenever
he gets near your position.

Note that your overall goal here is to capture the Gryps 2 field, which is the
central field on the west side of the map. However, you can't enter it until you
destroy certain enemy forces. Some reinforcements will show up and head after
the Argama and it is around this time that the Axis forces will withdraw, due to
Scirocco approaching the battlefield.

Near Gryps 2, some defense forces will show up and you will need to defeat all
four of them in order to break the barrier blocking the field. Not long after,
Quattro will come and go after those defense forces, but you have to make sure
he doesn't get destroyed. Note that one of the defense team is a Salamis
battleship, so it will take some time to clear that out.

In the north portion of the stage, the Radish will appear, with Emma taking to
the battlefield. However, Yazan's team, consisting of Yazan, Ramsus and Dunkel,
will go after them. If you don't hurry, those three will destroy both the Radish
and Emma, but if you are quick enough, you should be able to save them both.
Once you save them, defeat those four defense forces from before and you'll be
able to enter Gryps 2.

This is a normal enemy field, with a Garrison Defender once you deplete its
gauge. However, Reccoa and Sarah will both appear to help defend it a little bit
more (you can capture it without defeating either). Take down both of them after
(or before) and then Scirocco will appear in the northeast. Defeat him and then
Haman and the Axis forces reappear, only as enemies. Your only goal here is to
destroy Haman, which will end the battle.

======| 6 - Love is the Pulse of the Stars |
      '--------------------------------------'
The battle will begin with you controlling Kamille and right in front of you
will be Jerid, so go ahead and take him down. Note that while doing this, you'll
get a message saying that Emma is struggling in combat with Yazan. If you don't
want her to die, then quickly hurry to where she is and take out Yazan. Not long
after this, some Attack Commanders will appear and head towards Gryps 2, so you
want to cut them off.

To make matters worse, Yazan will appear in the south and target the Argama,
while Reccoa appears in the northwest, with Emma also reappearing to fight her.
Also, it's likely that Quattro might be in distress in the southwest corner.
Quickly, head to Reccoa and take her out, then go and make sure Quattro is
getting along okay, then you can destroy Yazan and rescue the Argama.

Once everything has cooled down, Kamille cuts off communications with the Argama
and you will take control of Quattro, with his Hyaku Shiki suit. You better get
ready, as a lot of action will be going down once you gain control of Quattro.
Haman and the Axis forces show up, as does Scirocco, with a bunch of enemy
troops converging on Gryps 2.

It may seem like a lot, but concentrate on defeating Scirocco and Haman, as they
are the key to triggering the next event. When you do, Gryps 2 will be ready to
fire, so get out of its range as indicated on your map, and the central part of
the battlefield will now be clear. Haman will return after this, although the
other enemy forces retreat. Defeat her to regain control of Kamille, then defeat
Scirocco in the one-on-one fight to end the battle.

      .---------------------------------------.
======| EX - Of Memories and Glass Slippers |
      '---------------------------------------'
You'll be in control of the Psyco Gundam for this battle, so get used to the
controls and attack, with your first goal to defeat Kamille. Once he's gone,
head north and capture the three enemy fields, then go after the Defense
Commanders that show up. This allows you to easily worry about the Audhumia,
which is a battleship.

Simply do what you usually do (Psyco Gundam doesn't have any attacks it can use
when airborne) to bring down the Audhumia. Note that both Kamille and Amuro will
show up to help out against you, but concentrate first on the ship, then you can
go after those two. The battle will end once those two are defeated.

      '-------------------------------------'
You'll be controlling Amuro in this battle, in the Re-GZ suit. Note that you
won't be able to enter the Defense Point field at the northernmost position,
since you need to defeat the two Defense Commanders first. While you're at it,
you might as well go and capture the two enemy fields. With that done, go north
to Defense Point and defeat Gyunei.

He'll retreat for now and Char will appear, so get him and he'll also retreat.
This prompts Char to order two Defense Commanders to appear, so take them down
and both Gyunei and Char will show themselves once again. Defeat them both to
finish the battle.

      .------------------------------.
======|  2 - With Dreadful Memories  |
      '------------------------------'
Your first goal in the battle is to defeat both Gyunei and Quess, both of whom
start out near you. While Quess will come after you, Gyunei will be occupied
with Kayra and she cannot be defeated, so quickly go after Gyunei first and
Quess second. Doing this will cause Ra Callum to start moving to the missile
launch point in the upper left corner.

Not long after the Ra Callum starts moving will Rezin show up to go chasing it.
Defeat her, then capture the enemy field that shows up. Once the Ra Callum
approaches the left side, it will begin taking fire from some unknown enemy.
This causes three enemy fields to show up, with your goal to capture them and
reveal the location of a Sniper.

You want to capture the field that is located in the upper left portion of the
middle of the battlefield. Do that and a Sniper will appear, so quickly take it
out and begin escorting Ra Callum to the launch point. When the ship gets close
to the objective, Rezin will reappear, as does the Rewloola, which begins firing
on the Ra Callum.

Rezin should be quicker to defeat first, so take her out and then start
dwindling the health of the Rewloola next. Watch the scene that follows the Ra
Callum launching missiles, and three attack forces show up. Feel free to destroy
them if you want, but the real goal reveals itself to be Gyunei nabbing Kayra.
Approach them for a scene, then take out Gyunei after to end the battle.

======|  3 - A Rainbow in Space  |
      '--------------------------'
There are a lot of Attack Commanders on the battlefield, but they aren't the
first things you should worry about at the beginning. Quess is right in front of
you, piloting the Alpha Azieru, a Mobile Armor. It does mostly beams and lasers
attacks, but the bigger problem comes when Gyunei shows up to help out. This
leads to your mission being to defeat both Gyunei and Quess.

This leads to the Ra Callum firing nuclear missiles, but Char shoots them all
down. You need to clear the enemy fields that lead up to the Axis entry point.
The first one is a standard field, while Char will appear to defend the second
one. The third defense field will have Quess reappear and guard it with the
Alpha Azieru.

The gate to Axis is now open, allowing you inside. Some friendly Engineer
Commanders appear inside, but enemies will also appear to try and take those
down. However, the gates will close and you need to defeat as many enemies as
possible to reopen them, allowing you access to where the Engineer Commanders
are, to rescue them.

Note that you only have seven minutes in order to do all this. Defeating all of
the Defense Commanders inside Axis will cause Char to appear. Take him down,
then exit Axis via the green arrow shown on your map (it's the southwest
corner). Once you exit, you will face off with Char in an one-on-one battle,
with his defeat signalling the end of the battle.

You will be piloting the Alpha Azieru in this battle, which is yet another
Mobile Armor. Forget about Char and Amuro doing battle inside Axis, as your
mission at the beginning of the battle is to capture the two highlighted enemy
fields, while not having your three fields fall to the enemy. Should you see an
enemy Attack Commander approach them, go after them.

Eventually, the Ra Callum will start moving and it's your job to sink it as
quickly as possible. Note that shooting it will make it stop temporarily, so use
this time to inflict as much damage as possible. After that, Gyunei will appear
on your side, but will be engaged with Kayra, so shoot down Kayra to help out.
All hell breaks loose, though, as the enemy captures the three fields from
before, locking all gates that lead inside Axis.

This also triggers some enemies appearing inside, to plant some bombs. You need
to recapture one of the three fields to open a gate, then head inside and defeat
all of the Engineer Commanders to stop the attack. Once you have done this, the
gates leading to Char and Amuro will open. You now have five minutes to destroy
Amuro, which will end the battle.

show up in the form of three fields. These fields spew out Attack Commanders,
which head straight to your Allied HQ, which can't be captured. To add fuel to
the fire, Angelo and some Royal Guard units show up.

So, you need to defeat Angelo, then go and capture all three enemy fields to cut
off the Attack Commanders. While doing this, it is likely Riddhe will get
attacked by some Ambush Commanders, so take a detour and rescue him. Once
everything is clear, Frontal shows up one more time, with his defeat ending the
battle.

======|  3 - Battle of Palau  |

You need to escape the initial area, which can be done by capturing the one
enemy field on the south side. If you want, you can capture the other three, but
your primary goal is the southern one. Once you capture that one, another field
will appear and you have to capture it. Doing so will open a way for you to
escape.

The Earth Federation forces outside of your initial area were fighting and once
you escape, you need to help with their withdrawal. This can be done by
capturing the two enemy fields highlighted on your map. Of course, once you
complete this, all but Riddhe will be gone, who will start moving towards the
upper left corner of the map.

Once Riddhe opens the one door, Angelo and some Royal Guards appear, so take out
Angelo and Riddhe will continue moving to the top left. Here, a Defense Point
enemy field appears, so capture it and Riddhe will start descending to Earth.
You're not done yet, though, as Marida appears to do some battling. Defeat her
once, watch the scene that follows, then bring her down once more to finish.

Ruins, which is in the bottom left corner. When you get there, you'll see that
your main forces are under attack. However, as you try to fly back, you'll end
up getting locked in an enemy field right outside Laplace Ruins.

You will need to capture this field, as well as defeat Angelo and any Royal
Guards, who will show up as soon as you enter the field. After this is done,
head north and destroy the Ambush Commanders heading towards your Allied HQ,
while keeping an eye out for any more that spawn. In between, you need to go and
attack the Garencieres battleship in the upper right, doing what you have done
(assuming you've played other battles) to sink it.

Once you do this, head back to Laplace Ruins and there will be a cutscene with
Frontal that takes place. When you regain control, Frontal will be retreating
and you'll confront Angelo and a Royal Guard while chasing after him. Take them
both down, then you'll have a one-on-one fight with Frontal, who has reappeared.

winds that blow in specific patterns on the battlefield. While you can go
against them by using your thrusters, it will likely take a refill or two to go
against the currents. At the beginning of the battle, there will be three enemy
fields close by, as well as another surrounded by the turbulent winds.

Your first goal in the battle is to eliminate the three Intercept Commanders,
who will likely go after the Garencieres. Once you do that, ride the turbulence
to the Garuda Airspace field and capture it. This will set off a chain of events
where three enemy fields appear in the turbulence, with some Snipers that fire
beam attacks on the Garuda Airspace field that is now yours.

Also, another field appears in the bottom right corner, with Ambush Commanders
every so often that go straight towards the Garuda Airspace to try and recapture
it from you. So, you need to go to the three fields, defeat the Sniper there, as
well as capture the field, since you are trapped until you do so.

You don't need to capture the field in the bottom right, as Pie Twelve will
appear in the Garuda Airspace after taking out all the Snipers and their
respective fields. Take her out and all of the turbulence will be gone, as well

While getting there, another enemy field will appear, but at around the same
time, some more Attack Commanders will go after the Archangel. Clear out these
Attack Commanders and one more enemy field will show up to stop the survivors
from getting to the ship, only this one will lock you inside until you capture

It is likely at this point that more enemy fields will appear, these ones
surrounding the Archangel, with Pursuit Commanders showing up periodically until
you clear them. Clear the middle one, then the one in the bottom right to finish

Luckily, Athrun shows up as a friendly suit and helps keep Orga company. Defeat
Clotho and while Orga is distracted, clear out any enemies attacking the
Archangel, as well as capture the remaining fields. Help defeat Orga, then some

is that after getting one, some Nuke Commanders will show up and make their way

The good news is that they'll get drawn into fights, so you can use that to your
advantage. After defeating one, another set will spawn, so stick to the one side

are down, Orga, Clotho and Shani all appear, with your goal to destroy all
three. At this time, Jachin Due will be preparing to fire GENESIS, so get out of

When it does fire, all enemy fields in range will be removed from the map, so

it and then head north to help out the Minerva, as Neo spawns some Attack
Commanders to go and attack the ship.

Destroy all three and Sting and Auel will reappear in the northeast corner, with
Rey going to fight against them. So, take them down yet again and it might be a
good idea to clear the two enemy fields closest to the Minerva, as Neo will show
up in the west, with Rey going and fighting against him now. Defeating him will
end the battle.

      .--------------------------------.
======|  2 - Survivors and Sacrifices  |
      '--------------------------------'
The battle begins with some enemy fields on the far end of the map and as you
move towards them, some Ambush Commanders will show up. While you're doing just
that, Stella will appear in the bottom left corner and begin firing beams across
the entire map. Hurry down there and take her out, which will stop the beam
attacks.

This also makes three more enemy fields appear on the map, but you don't really
need to capture any of them, although you're more than welcome to, since some
are in the way. Of course, at the same time, the Archangel forces appear, which
consists of the battleship, Kira and Cagalli. Kira will head straight towards
you, but the other two will sit near where they appeared.

Once you've taken care of those three, Sting and Auel will show up, with Sting
on the right side of the map and Auel bringing four tiny fields. If you should
attack Auel, he will retreat into one of these four fields, so you need to
capture three of them and corner him, making it easier to defeat him. When you
do that, head on over and take out Sting. This makes Kira appear once more,
whose defeat ends the battle.

      .--------------.
======|  3 - Stella  |
      '--------------'
You start the battle right in front of an enemy field, while Kira goes into
battle with the Destroy Gundam, a Mobile Armor. Capture the field and a gate
opens up, allowing you to go north and confront the Destroy Gundam. It has a few
attacks to watch out for, such as a straight laser, another laser that sweeps
across the ground and some missiles it launches in front of it.

If you've played the other Official Modes, then you know how to deal with Mobile
Armors. Otherwise, attack the shielded spots until you break them, then you will
be able to deal damage to those locations. Sting will appear either while
fighting it or right after you've dealt the deathblow. Note that the Destroy
Gundam will be launching beam attacks on the map while you're fighting.

Take Sting out and Neo will appear on the west side, while making some Defense
Commanders appear in front of blocked routes. You don't have to take both down,
as destroying one Defense Commander will let you access the northwest section of
the map. When you do, take Neo out and the Destroy Gundam will appear once more.
You'll control Kira, though, so destroy the Destroy Gundam to finish the battle.

      .----------------------------.
======|  4 - Operation Angel Down  |
      '----------------------------'
This is a rather short battle, with you starting out in an enemy field with Kira
also in it. All you have to do is destroy Kira, which will also dissipate the
field once he withdraws. As you continue going southeast, some Intercept
Commanders will appear, as well as another field. Defeating those will make Kira
appear once more, although you need to be quick, as the Archangel will attempt
to withdraw. Defeat Kira to end the battle.

      .---------------------------.
======|  5 - Freedom and Justice  |
      '---------------------------'
You're in control of Cagalli and the Akatsuki Gundam at the beginning of the
battle, where you should stay in the only blue ally field on the map for now.
That's because this is the HQ and if it falls, you will fail. The reason for
staying is you will have Occupation Commanders, Intercept Commanders, as well as
Lunamaria coming straight into the field to try and take it.

Once you take out Lunamaria, Shinn will appear and head towards your position,
so clean up any enemies inside HQ and lure him away; maybe take an enemy field
if you can. While fighting with Shinn, a cutscene will occur and you'll switch
control to Kira. Quickly destroy Shinn, then go around and capture enemy fields
until Lunamaria appears again, as well as Rey.

Defeat them both and keep fighting until the Minerva begins firing on your HQ,
after which you will switch to Athrun and the Infinite Justice Gundam. Make sure
you go pick up any stray enemies heading towards your HQ, then go and sink the
Minerva in the bottom right corner. Shinn and Rey will appear once more when you
do, so defeat them and end the battle.

UNLOCK - Cagalli Yula Athha as pilot, Lacus Clyne as partner

      .-----------------------.
======|  6 - The Final Power  |
      '-----------------------'
As you can see from the map before beginning the battle, you are up against two
enemy forces, with the yellow one having THREE Destroy Gundams on their side.
When you begin, you will have five minutes to capture the enemy base on the
southern side of the map, in the middle. When you do that, Athrun will approach
Yzak and he will come over to your side.

You now have the task of destroying the three Destroy Gundams, which shouldn't
be too difficult given the power of the Strike Freedom Gundam. Make sure you
watch out for the Neo-GENESIS cannon, as it might get a chance to fire, which
will wipe out all enemy fields in its path. Destroying all three Destroy Gundams
will cause control of your character to switch to Athrun.

Now, the Minerva will appear in the northwest and head towards the Archangel, so
intercept it and dwindle its health down to put it out of commission. As the
Archangel moves within range of the Neo-GENESIS, Lunamaria and some Attack
Commanders appear to stall them and keep them in that range. So, you now have
four minutes to defeat Lunamaria to help get the Archangel out of range.

However, things get slightly more complicated as Shinn will appear not long
after that and head your way, so you might get double-teamed if you don't work
quickly enough. Either way, your goal will be to defeat Lunamaria before four
minutes are up, then defeat Shinn afterwards. Once you do that, control will
switch back to Kira, so go up the middle and defeat the two Defense Commanders,
then head to your one-on-one battle with Rey, whose defeat will end the battle.

      .-----------------------------.
======|  EX - Angel of Destruction  |
      '-----------------------------'
This stage is unlocked once you complete all other missions in the Seed Destiny
Official Mode. When you have, select an area and you will see it underneath the
Stella mission.

You are in control of the Destroy Gundam for this mission, which has excellent
crowd-clearing capabilities with its Square string. Note that for a majority of
the fight, the initial enemy fields cannot be captured. Your first objective is
to keep destroying Attack Commanders to secure points so your allies can arrive,
so you're going to do a lot of destruction here.

The last ally to arrive is Neo, so that portion of the battle will be over. Next
up is Kira appearing, then Shinn, and you will need to defeat both of them to
proceed. Once you do, more enemy fields will show up, but you won't be able to
reach them. However, Neo will go to take care of them and you will once again
need to destroy Attack Commanders to support his operation.

When he has captured Military Zone A, Shinn will reappear and take down Neo. The
once impervious enemy fields can now be captured, although your goal is to go
and destroy Shinn now. While fighting him, Kira will reappear and you will now
have to destroy both Shinn and Kira. Doing so will end the battle.

UNLOCK - Stella Loussier and Sting Oakley as pilots.

Seed Destiny UNLOCK - Shinn Asuka and Rey Za Burrel as pilots; Dearka Elthman as
partner; 10000 Money

Ultimate Mode is the other main mode in Gundam Reborn, and will likely take up
most of your playing time. This mode is split up into different Operations, or
sets of missions that together make up their own made-up story. You start out
with only one operation available and when you finish it, you will unlock four
more. Once you unlock and complete all the ones available, the final operation
will unlock, pitting you against the likes of the Musha and Knight Gundams.

Due to the seemingly random nature of some battles in Ultimate Mode, a detailed
walkthrough will not be possible, such as with the Official Mode battles. Thus,
the Operations will be listed and some notes about each one will be written, as
some Operations have some special properties. One such example is when two
missions open up at the same time; finishing one of those will lock the one you
didn't do until you finish that particular Operation.

require you to protect the Archangel battleship. In fact, it will have its own
health bar that persists throughout the entire operation. That means during the
missions, you will want to make sure that any enemies that are in the vicinity
of the Archangel are cleared. This includes Aces and the other enemies like
Guerilla Units. There are some stages that when completed, will restore a bit of
the Archangel's HP.

be asked a series of questions pertaining to the topic discussed beforehand,
with your only goal being to answer those questions. This is done by destroying
the pilot that fulfills that answer. Can You Pass my Quiz? is one of the easiest
operations to get all the targets for each mission.

A Visitor Seeking Power. This mission unlocks when you complete Newtype Hunting,

Earth Landing Operation is another pretty standard Operation, although there is
one little twist. For the third mission, you get a choice between two, with the

You will be facing quite a few Destroy Gundams in this operation, but there's
also a twist involved. After the first battle, you will notice that future
battles will require something called tranquilizers. Basically, each battle will
earn you a few, plus some additional ones based on your performance.

Doing a battle the first time will use the tranquilizers, but replaying cleared
ones will not use them, although you will earn them. The final battle in this
Operation will require you to have 8 tranquilizers, which will likely have you
replaying some older missions.

MISSIONS - 10 (6 required for completion)
UNLOCKED - Complete Gundam Fight! Ready? GO!

This is a pretty normal Operation, with the stipulation that a single loss will
make you fail it. Once you clear Round Two, you will have to choose between
fighting it out right then and there, or continuing with the tournament.
Choosing the first will have you fighting two battles at a 3-to-1 disadvantage,
then two one-on-one bouts. The other path is four straight one-on-one bouts.

======| True Gundam Dynasty Warrior |
      '-------------------------------'
MISSIONS - 10 (7 required for completion)
UNLOCKED - Complete all other Operations
UNLOCKS - N/A

True Gundam Dynasty Warriors is the very last Operation in the game, which is
unlocked by completing every other Operation (you don't need to complete every
single stage in those Operations). While most of the missions won't give too
much trouble, since you can choose difficulty, the last two will, since they are
8-stars and have to be played on Hard.

Note that unlocking this operation will grant you the ability to adjust the
stars for any cleared operation. You will want to head to the first mission in 1
Suit, 10,000 Enemies and play on 8-stars there to easily farm S-rank plans. Note
that the Full Armor Unicorn Gundam DLC is very, very powerful, but it isn't
required to finish these stages. In fact, there's another way to complete these
stages, with a simple grunt MS like GM or Zaku Tank (probably better to use a
normal MS for the second to last stage).

DG Cells is a skill that slowly replenishes your health and only two characters
in the game get it, which are Riddhe and Katejina (they get it in their 40s).
Combine this with one of the grunt MS that has a S-rank plan with maxed out
stats (at least Defense, Shot and Melee), and the Instant Hero and Ace Killer
skills. The rest of the skills are up to you, but God of War, Knockdown and High
Tension are good candidates.

For the last battle, you will face one-on-one battles with Knight Gundam, Mush
Gundam Mk II and then Musha Gundam, in that order. All will start with them
activating Burst Mode right off the bat, which is a dangerous situation,
especially with Knight Gundam (the circular fire attack can be brutal). Make
sure you lock on to all of them with R3, as this will make it so you don't lose
track of them.

The trick is to not go all gung-ho on these battles, as it will likely get you
killed. Knight Gundam seems to have the quickest regular shots out of the three,
and all three have melee Musou attacks, although only the Knight Gundam's
extends further than the others. You can circle around then with your thrusters,
use the charged and regular shots to power them down, then go in with some melee
hits. Do not get greedy, as you'll be fine if you take your time (don't get
angry if you lose either, as it's bound to happen).

This section will list how to unlock the various pilots and Mobile Suits in the
game, which is required to get the Platinum Trophy and get all the Cards as
well. It's best to start with unlocking the Pilots first, since some will unlock
the ability to use certain Mobile Suits (although they might not be unlocked for
everyone to use).

problem is that to gain access to a certain MS, you will have to unlock the
Pilot that is known to use that MS. Also, a good number are also unlocked via
triggering Burst Mode (called Burst Attack) or using the combination SP attack
via Burst Mode (called Combo Burst Attack).

Q) What is the best Mobile Suit to use?
A) That's tough to say, as there are plenty out there that are pretty good,
especially with the right setup. However, a few stand out as great suits to
use, such as Strike Freedom, 00 Raiser and Destroy Gundam. The Strike Freedom
is overall a great suit, with its C6, SP2 and Burst attacks being the
strongest point. 00 Raiser has a ridiculous SP1 attack that can clear an
enemy field in one swoop. Destroy Gundam, being a Mobile Armor, can certainly
   make quick work of enemies.

Q) Who is the best pilot in the game?
A) Before you get to the very hard stages, like the two in True Gundam Dynasty
Warriors, it doesn't really matter. However, both Katejina and Riddhe learn
DG Cells, which slowly regens your health, which makes them great for the
   above missions.

Q) What's the best mission for S-Rank plans?
A) The easiest and best mission for this is ZAFT Special Training, Part 1 of the
Operation, 1 Suit, 10,000 Enemies. You only need to stay alive for 3 minutes,
which is easily done with a level 1 pilot and a suit with no plans. You
always get an A or S-rank plan for just finishing the mission.
