Yakuza 5

A FAQ/Walkthrough by CyricZ

Version 1.4

E-mail: cyricz42 at yahoo.com

Hello and... konnichi wa. Welcome to my guide for Yakuza 5, the fifth mainline game in the Yakuza series, based in Japan and starring all around badass with the most unbreakable back, Kazuma Kiryu. In this guide I intend for you to be able to progress through the entirety of this twisted tale of yakuza crime, as well as to be able to tackle all (and I hope to mean ALL) of the myriad fun extra experiences that make the Yakuza series such a hallmark of Japanese culture.

At this point, I'd like to take the time to thank two sources for helping make this guide possible. One is the Japanese wiki for the Ryu Ga Gotoku series at kouryakutsushin.com, which did a boatload of the legwork that really helped me concerning stuff like the hostess clubs.

The other is Yimbocarimbo35 at GameFAQs. He put up his own wiki translating the Japanese game and allowing a lot of people to be able to play this game early. I used him as a reference in multiple situations. Thanks for all that!

Now, let's put on our yakuza pants, slick back our hair, work on our scowl, and prepare to FEEL THE HEAT!

Note that this guide is specifically for the PS3 version, released as a download. This can be used for the Yakuza 5 Remaster for the PS4, but certain elements are slightly changed, so please do so at your own risk.

CyricZ started writing to get all the thoughts in his head about video games onto paper and it got out of hand.

If you're looking for other guides by him, you can search the Yakuza series or the LEGO series on GameFAQs.
