This guide will show you how to get through the game with a focus on maintaining as much power over the enemies as possible. This guide will cover the whole game as well as post-game material like perfect releasing and the Seraphic Gate. Note that not every single item will be included in the guide although I will attempt to be a thorough a possible. Only things which increase our power level will be considered to be mandatory.
Start a new game for a scene. Then another scene.
When you gain control you will be in Solde. Leave town for another scene then re-enter.
The Inn has a save point should you wish to save your game. Go to the right, past an inlet and go to the armory. Buy a Sallet and Leather Mail for Alicia. Don't forget to equip them.
Go to the right and enter the first house you see, go left here for a chest with a Warrior's Arcanum in it. Head outside and go to the port.
Enter the waiting area and check the right side for a Burgundy Flask. Now go back to the left, past the armory and then go up. Enter the house on the left and check the left side for the first part of the Tri-Ace poem. This will allow us to get a powerful accessory later on in the game.
Now leave Solde and head to the Lost Forest.
This is the first dungeon in the game. If you're unfamiliar with how combat works there are a number of tutorials that should help out. I'll explain the finer points as we go along.
Head to the right and off the first screen for a scene. First battle, choose to view the tutorial or not. After the battle there will be a scene.
I recommend fighting battles here at the start so that we gain some experience points.
Continue on to the right and onto the next screen. You must use the enemies here as bridges to cross over to higher elevation. This is quite common throughout the game so get used to it here if this is your first play-through. There is a chest with 400 OTH in it on top of the cliff. Head inwards for a scene.
You will get your first einherjar, he will automatically be added to the party. I'll give you advice on which ones to use as we progress. There is a save point so save the game. Its important to save here to ensure we get a good einherjar in a minute.
Keep going to the right to enter the Royal Underground Path. There is a chest on the first cliff with 400 OTH in it. The second cliff has a Warrior's Arcanum in it. Use the ghost enemy just after here to get up to higher ground. Hold down circle as you teleport to jump immediately from the area where the enemy was. You will need to get the hang of this technique to get many of the game's chests and to get to secret areas.
On the next screen there is a scene, head left into a room for a chest that is trapped with an arrow, but contains a Gauntlet. Equip this to Alicia. On the ground below there is a hidden bag containing a Warrior's Arcanum. Keep going to the right and there will be another einherjar. Now head outward.
On the next screen, crystallize the first enemy here and then head outward. There should be a heavy warrior soul here, if it isn't Kraad. Re-load your game. Keep trying until you get Kraad, he's the better of the two heavy warriors and you can use him through most of the game.
Once you get Kraad, add him to the party. I suggest using the light warrior you just got and Kraad. Mages can be useful though so use the mage you got if you want, just make sure to include Kraad in your party.
Take a left into a room with Leather Boots and 800 OTH. Equip the Leather Boots to Alicia. Go back to the right and up a small cliff in the other room. Use the enemies here to get onto the platform here for a chest with an Elixir in it. Keep going to the right for a chest with 600 OTH in it. Now head back to the left and head inward.
Head to the right, then head inward for a scene. Dylan will join the party, I suggest using him, Kraad, Rufus and Alicia. The bridge here is out, you can jump down but instead head to the left. It might be a good idea to start fighting battles now to gain some experience for your team. It should be easy to get direct assaults right now. Climb to the bottom of the screen and then head outward.
Use the ghost enemy here to get on top of the first platform and get a chest with a Thunder Gem in it. Now go back to the broken bridge section, jump down and stay to the left for a chest with a Union Plume in it. Jump down onto the enemy on the next platform and kill it. Now head outward and we will back back where we were before.
Go to the right, onto the next screen. There are no chests here and nothing besides a single enemy. Dispatch it and then head to the right, two ghost enemies and no chests in the next room. Keep going to the right and then head inward.
Climb up the stairs to the left in this next room and then head outward. Take a left here and get past two enemies. There is a ghost enemy blocking an alcove, get down in there and get the chest with a Warrior's Arcanum in it. Use the ghost to get up and to the left, then head inward. To the right is a chest with a Union Plume in it. Go to the right, one enemy in this next room and nothing else. Keep going to the right and into the next room.
There is a chest with a Shamshir in it, grab that and equip it to Alicia. Save the game at the save point. Keep going to the right for a scene and a battle with...
Ballistic Rhino: Pick a side and start bashing on it. You can destroy its armor, revealing a weak spot to keep bashing on. You can deny him turns by circling around him in the right way. He has some powerful all-hitting attacks but you should need to heal if you were healed up at the start of the fight.
You can actually fight him again right away if you want to. Its a good way to gain levels. Note that he gives significantly less EXP than he did the first time you fought him. Once you're done, head to the right for another save point. Everybody was level 3 for me at this point.
Go up for another scene.
Go to the left. The first building is the Inn, you might want to stay here if anybody is injured. Go left, past the tavern and go to the armory. Sell your Thunder Gem, and Amber you might have and any other ingredients. Buy a Rapier, 2x Two-Handed Sword and a Crossbow. Sell your old weapons but hang onto Alicia's Robe. Buy 20 Warrior's Arcanums. Don't worry about armor for now.
To the left is a house, enter and read the second part of the poem on the right wall.
Now go right and head inward, enter the first house you see and to the left is a bag with a Union Plume in it. There's nothing but books upstairs so leave and head to the right, past the chapel and go all the way to the right. Some guards will talk.
Now head back to the Outskirts of town and then go to the right, head inward and you're free to enter the castle now. Do so for a scene.
Go to the left and head outward, now go all the way to the right for a chest with Leather Boots in it. Go back to the left, past the save point and down another long hall. There are two chests here with a Union Plume and a Dwarf Tincture. Now head back to the right, save the game if you want and then go down.
There will be a scene then a battle with some trash mobs. Keep going to the right and then head outward. Go left in this next room and then head outward when you get a chance to.
Take an immediate left and use the enemy to get onto a ledge with a bag with 700 OTH in it. Use the next enemy to get up and head to the left. Go left for a chest with a Crossbow in it. Now grab the enemy in the middle and take it on top of the chest. Just on top of it and to the left to find a bag with a Double-check in it. Exit this room to the right.
Back in the other room, this time head to the right. Break the glowing red pedestal to open the way forward and continue right.
In this room, use the enemies to get on top of the platforms here for a chest with 1,200 OTH. Now shoot the ghost to the left and teleport up. There is another pedestal to destroy. Now use the lower enemy to get up onto the upper platform with the ghost. Move the ghost over to the left and get on top of the left platform for a chest with a Flare Gem. Exit this room to the right.
There will be a chest with a Crest Estoc and a save point. Equip it and save the game, making sure anybody who is hurt is healed up.
Enter the next room for a scene and a battle with...
Primordial Ooze: Dash around its attack zone and get up close then unleash an attack of your own. It might use Evasive Maneuvers to dodge but that's okay. Just attack again. Keep attacking and make use of Soul Crush when you can, which should be every attack if you're doing it right. When everyone is hurt, use a Dwarf Tincture. If he poisons you, don't worry about curing it just keep attacking.
After the battle, use Dead Ashes on anybody who is poisoned and use Warrior's Arcanums to heal up. Keep going to the right for a scene.
After the scene, go back to the left, past the save point and keep going left. Head inward when you get a chance then continue to the right. Head inward for a scene, then keep going left. You will exit by a save point. Go to the right and head inward for a scene. Lezard will join the party.
You will regain control back in the forest. Head left and you will reach a sheer cliff, use your photon to freeze the pillar at the top then hit it again, holding circle to warp on top of the cliff. Grab the bag with a Skull Receptacle and the chest with a Union Plume. Drop down and head outward. Keep going to the left and exit the Lost Forest for a scene.
Head to the...
Keep going to the left and you'll come across a save point. Might as well save if you haven't in a while. Continue to the left to the next screen.
I recommend fighting all of the battles here, they're decent EXP and not too difficult. Just keep going to the left, there's nothing here.
When you make it through, go to Coriander.
Enter the town for a scene. Talk to the first guy, he is a merchant. Buy some more Warrior's Arcanum at least 20. Talk to the guy next to him for some free accessories. Equip Alicia with a Skull Receptacle and Blue Soul Flame to start teaching her some skills.
Enter the first house you come across and check to the right for an Earth Gem. Keep going to the right onto the next screen. Talk to the girl with the dog. Exit to the right.
The Serdberg Mountain Ruins should now appear on your map. Go there!
Enter for a scene. Go to the right and head inwards. The enemies here are much more difficult, in fact its a huge difficulty spike.
Go to the right a bit and then stack the enemies here on top of each other so you can jump up and get the Ram's Horn. Head outward then go to the left for a scene. Grab the Fog Wraith sealstone off of the Dias. Now go back to the right and head inward. Head to the right and grab the treasure here for 2,500 OTH, the next chest is trapped but contains a Might Potion. The last chest contains a trap as well but has a Dwarf Tincture in it.
Before heading forward I recommend leveling up a bit and teaching everybody the Fists of Iron and Fortify Physique skills.
Everyone should now be level 7 with those two skills active. Now leave the dungeon and go back into town. Sell any materials you might have and those gems. Keep all items and accessories. Buy the best armor you can for everyone. Sell your old armor but keep Alicia's Robe. It can be useful for teaching some skills down the line.
Also, equip everyone with the most useful accessories you have right now. They won't be very good yet so I won't really mention much. Ram's Horn is probably the best thing you might have so far if you got one off of the boss.
Now, re-enter the Serdberg Mountain Ruins. I still suggest fighting all battles here to level up more except for the Ghost battles which you should just retreat from. They can only be damaged by magic and if you're following along you aren't using a mage right now.
Go back and take the sealstone with you again that is on the Dias.
Note that the Kobold Knights can drop Lucky Tail if you attack them from behind. It increases the chance for a critical attack and is good for this early on. It has no synergy with the Ram's Horn though.
Once you have the sealstone with you, keep going to the right. Use the enemy here to jump over the high wall. Skip the floating enemy and head outward.
Go all the way to the right and hit the wall three times to break it. Open the chest for 3,400 OTH, Ice Gem and Prime Elxir.The last chest is trapped so watch out. Keep going to the right for a light warrior einherjar. Now go back, hop up onto the platforms and carry the globe down, set it on the red section to make some stairs leading to a save point.
Save the game and then go to the right, head outward again for a scene. Leone and Arngrim will join the party. I recommend removing Rufus and putting Leone into the party because, if you reach a high enough level with her by a certain point, she will give you a very powerful weapon!
Take a moment to battle and teach her Fists of Iron and Fortify Physique. Fight another battle or two and everybody will be at level 9. Now its time to continue onward.
Use the enemy to get higher, then warp the globe onto the thin part of the floor to break it. Past here is a chest with a Falchion in it and a Masochist's Wrath sealstone. Take the sealstone and place it in the nearby Dias to make the enemies damage themselves when they attack.
Continue on to the right, there is another weak part of the floor over by a globe to the right. Jump in the air and teleport the globe above the floor, it should fall and break through. Down here is a large enemy. Attack it but make sure everybody is healed first. Try to break its claws to damage its ability to attack. It might drop the Karsnaut sword which should be equipped to Leone.
Beyond the enemy is a chest with a Dwarf Tincture and a trapped chest with a Gandeeva bow. Go right and check for a switch to take you back up. Go to the left and head inward.
Immediately to the right is a chest with 5,000 OTH in it. Use the flying enemies to the left to get onto the high platform for a chest with a Metal Buckler in it.
Note that the crawling enemy on this screen contains an Owlbear which can drop a Great Eagle Heart when killed. This accessory increases your attack by 15% and is sweet for right now. Farm them for a while if you wish.
When ready, head left and head inward again. You cannot use photons here because of the divinity void. I recommend just fighting through this room and running under the floating type enemy.
In the next room, make sure not to miss the magician's soul to the left of the entrance. Keep going right, past the flying enemies to a Dias. Be sure to take this sealstone with you.
In the next room is the first spring. Use it to restore Sword Blessing and then take it with you. Now save the game since there's a boss fight coming up. Go past the entrance to the next room to find a chest with a Dwarf Tincture in it.
When ready, head inward for a scene and a battle with...
Wyvern: Lure him away from the edges because he can knock your characters off the edge and out of the battle! This battle should be pretty easy if you've been following the guide. Half-way through the battle he will use Schism and create a Lower Lizard which you should kill first. Make sure to still stay away from the edges. Once everybody has taken enough damage, just use a Dwarf Tincture to heal. After a few more attacks the boss should go down.
Another scene will ensue after you win the battle. Now back-track all the way out of this place. You can re-fight the boss if you want but its less EXP this time around.
Leaving will trigger another scene, now leave for real. And enter...
Enter for another scene.
First room is the Inn so stay here to conserve your items.
Enter the first house for a chest with an Earthproof Trinket in it. Talk to the girl by the flowers and buy a Tiny Flower for 10 OTH.
Past the tavern is the armory. Buy 2x Walloon Sword and 2x Screp for the team. Sell your old weapons and armor and any ingredient items you might have but still, as always, keep all accessories. Now buy 4x Crystal Chainmail and 2x Work Boots. Equip everything to the team and leave the armory.
Enter the next house and check to the right for 2,000 OTH. Now enter the Tavern to the left of here, listen to the conversation to unlock a secret area on the map.
Now travel to the Turgen Mine.
Firstly, take the Sword Blessing from the spring here.
The Lizard Lord enemies here have a lot of HP, they can also heal themselves to full so they can be quite annoying. Their damage is pretty low though so that is good.
Keep going to the right to enter the first area of the mines. A chest in the lower left-hand corner holds a Prism Gem. Head outward into a sub-room.
Cross the conveyor belts to the right to turn the lights on. On the floor there is a bag with a Dwarf Tincture in it. To the right of that is a trapped chest with an Elixir in it. To the right still is another trapped chest containing Crystal Chainmail.
Add Lezard to the party and jump left off of the lower conveyor belt. You will fight a bunch of Wasp Nests. Use Lezard's attack to kill the leader and win the battle. Open the chest for the Key to the Mines. Go down and head inward, then go to the right onto the next screen.
Jump down, still with Lezard in the party and kill the leftmost Wasp Nest battle. Take the chest behind it for 5,000 OTH. Go under the next battle, escape with a Tome of Godspeed if they attack you. Check the elevator to go up, grab the bag with Honeysuckle Dew in it and then a trapped chest with an Anointed Cloak in it. Equip this to Lezard. Now drop down and head inward onto the next screen.
Kill the first nest you encounter in this room. Ignore the seal stone and keep going, running past the enemies here and exiting right.
On this screen, use the enemies as stepping stones to get up to the right. The bag here has a Dwarf Tincture. Kill the Wasp Nest to gain access to an archer einherjar. Drop down and go to the right.
Take Brimstone Law out of the shell here and now you can remove Lezard from the party. Keep going right for a save point and save because a boss is coming up.
Go to the right for a scene and a battle with...
Queen Wasp: First off, she has loads of HP so expect a pretty long battle. I don't know if she resists fire or what but the damage you deal will be pretty low as well. Try to destroy her long tentacle-like appendages as this might trigger break mode. When she glows green this means she is going to use Variation Omega which you cannot easily survive! Run away and behind a wall when this happens and she will waste it. You might want to use your Double-check for this battle for massive EXP. Its a difficult battle but you should be able to win with some patience and luck.
Open the chests behind her for an Overdrive, a trapped chest with a Prime Elixir in it and a bag with 15,000 OTH. The shell back here has Gold Grubber Law which you should take with you and release back at the spring.
Also, I recommend modifying everyone's attacks and favoring single-hit attacks. This is because most people button mash and you're actually wasting attacks unless everything is single hit. If you're one of the few who don't button mash then feel free to setup your attacks as you wish!
Afterwards, go back to Coriander and buy 30 Warrior's Arcanums and 20 Dwarf Tinctures. Then stay at the Inn and save, then find two people talking to the left of the Inn. Talk to the man to unlock the next optional area. Its optional but we're going, okay?
The first thing you should notice is the enemy sealstone which is attack with poison. We want to get rid of this before fighting any battles here.
Walk to the right and then head inward. On the next screen freeze the enemy and jump over him, head to the right.
Head outward and go to the right to find the Dias with Poison Pin Blessing. Now back-track to the Well we passed earlier and restore it. Take out Sword Blessing and now we can start clearing the dungeon.
Go back to the right and then head outward again, go all the way to the right and head inward. Ignore the shell on the left and head inward again.
Check the area to the left here for an archer einherjar. Its pretty hidden. Now head to the right for a chest with Screp in it. Go back to the left and head inward, then go to the left.
Keep going to the left all the way until you reach a large enemy. Its four Cybersaurs. Just take out the leader to win. Take the Sheathed Power Wrath here and place it in your bag. Now go to the left and place it in the Dias. Past it is a chest with a trap and a Flare Gem.
Circle back around by going outward, to the right, inward and then back to the left. Grab the Sword Blessing back out of the shell. Now go back to the left, go outward twice. That was just for map completion. Go back inward, go to the right and then inward again. Keep going to the right to reach a save point.
Save the game since there is a boss fight coming up.
Keep going to the right for a scene and a battle with...
Griffon: Its damage will be lowered by what we did with the Dias but it still packs a bit of a punch. Despite this, he has low HP so he shouldn't be much of a problem. He only got to attack once when I fought him for this guide.
Behind him is a shell with Treasure Blessing in it, further to the right is a chest with 7,200 OTH. On the far right is another chest with an Iron Helm in it.
That's it for this place, check the map with R2 to easily find the exit. I recommend restoring the Treasure Blessing on the way out. Its really cheap and can help out.
Return to Coriander to stay at the Inn and save the game. Afterwards, head out to Audoula Temple on the Lake.
Enter for a scene. Notice the Dias has an effect which boosts Ice Attacks, this is bad since most of the enemies here attack with ice. Try to avoid encounters until we can remove that.
First screen just go to the right, second screen has a Spring so grab Sword Blessing and Poison Pin Blessing.
Take the upper exit here, noticing the Chasm Wrath sealstone in the shell. We'll use this later to de-buff all of the enemies here.
Head right across the next screen and then we're at the far right. Jump on the floating enemy here for a chest with 10,000 OTH. Jump the gap to the right for a chest with a Thunder Gem in it. Now head back to the left and go inward.
Go all the way to the right then head outward. To your right is an sorcerer einherjar. Now go to the left and head inward. Head left, past the crawling enemy.
Head all the way left for a chest with an Elixir in it. Now go back a bit, jump and slash your sword at the large enemy to start a battle. Once its destroyed you should be able to hit that flying enemy just past it with a Photon twice to get up. There is an archer einherjar here. Jump over the wreckage to the left for a trapped chest with an Anointed Cloak in it. Now go up and to the right for another trapped chest that contains a Charge Break. Now hop down and go back to the right.
Head outward here and then go back to the right, head inward here. Now go all the way to the left for a scene. Push the giant rock into the stream on the right.
Go back to the right then head outward. Jump down and go to the left, we can reach the Dias now so grab the Ice Blessing off of it. Return to the Spring and restore the Ice Blessing. Now take the upper path to the right, grabbing the Chasm Wrath sealstone.
Go back around to the Dias and place the Chasm Wrath sealstone, grabbing the one you left behind for the Ice Blessing sealstone. Now we can fight battles here safely.
Go back to the Spring and this time head outward right by it. Go left for a chest with a Dwarf Tincture in it. Grab both of the floating enemies here and pull them to the left. Use them as stepping stones to reach the upper platform. Here there are three chests with Iceproof Talisman, Union Plume and a trapped chest with a Strength Bow.
Head off to the right, pull the switch here to stop the water from the other direction. Now keep going right to find a trapped chest with Crystal Chainmail in it.
Turn around and go back to the first screen with the Spring on it. Take the right-most path outward and then go to the right, crossing the dry bed to the save point.
Guess what? A boss is coming up so save the game!
Go to the right all the way for a scene and a battle with...
Kraken: First thing is first, we must release the water. Dash around the edges to the other side and you will find two floodgates. Destroy them both. Now you can reach the Kraken. Dash around the sides and then into the main area. He has some powerful attacks but you should have 20+ Dwarf Tinctures if you followed my advice. You can just use one after every time he attacks if you want. Its actually a really easy battle. He should go down in about 3 attacks.
Afterwards there is a scene.
The boss can be re-fought so feel free to do some grinding here if you want to. This guide will assume; however, that you do not do this.
Now exit the temple and go to the new location that just showed up, the town of Kalstad.
Enter for a scene. Stay at the Inn to heal everybody up first.
Enter the first house to the right of the Inn and check the left side for 5,000 OTH.
Head inward and then go left into the first house you see, check the right side for a Burgundy Flask. Now go back to the right and go all the way out of town.
Head to the Sahma Desert.
This is another connecting area with no chests or anything. Just go all the way to the right to get through.
I do recommend fighting battles here to get some EXP though. The battles here are pretty easy except for the Desert Beast fights.
Just before you reach the exit is a heavy warrior einherjar. Now head towards Surts Volcano Cavern.
Enter for a scene. Keep going to the right.
On the next screen, use the flying enemy to get up on the platform. Open the bag with a Dwarf Tincture and the chest with a Union Plume. Grab the Lifeforce Blessing out of the shell.
I recommend not fighting battles until we can clear the Fire Blessing out of the Dias. Hop down from the platform and then head outward.
There will be a scene. Head to the left and there is a divinity void so fight battles here. Keep going left to find an archer einherjar.
On the next screen, use the enemy to get past the narrow tunnel. If you turn around and kill it, it will reveal a shell with Barrier Blessing in it. Leave it in the shell.
Go to the Spring and take out Ice Blessing, place it into the Dias. Now take Sword Blessing out of the Spring and take it with you. Exit to the right.
Go to the right and head outward when you have a chance to. Go to the left, now jump up and hit the small ledge just in front of you with a Photon. It should reflect off the walls and hit the enemy. Use this to get up to the platform with a trapped chest containing a Pallasch. Now use the same enemy to get across to the left where two chests with an Overdrive and Ice Crystal are waiting. They are both trapped with gas though so watch it.
Go to the right and into the next zone. This is a fragile bridge, cross the first segment but fall through in the middle on purpose for a chest with a Spider Fighter and a bag with 15,000 OTH. Now go down and to the right to find a trapped chest with a Royal Glove in it. Now go all the way to the left and head outward.
Go all the way to the left and now head inward. Now go to the left and head inward again. On this screen, go to the right, using the enemies to cross the lava sections. At the end of the path, destroy some debris around a pillar now head back.
Its time to attempt the bridge again, this time for real so go to the part of the map where we fell down before. This time, walk straight across the bridge without jumping at all to cross it.
Keep heading to the right, then head inward. To the right there will be a magician's soul. Now go left, onto the next screen.
Pass this Dias since it just has Cotton Dust Wrath in it and keep going to the left. Clear more debris here to make a bridge. Head inward on the new bridge.
Go right to open a bag with a Might Potion, switch out your Lifeforce Blessing for the Achromatic Law in the shell here. Go left to the Dias and place your Achromatic Law in the Dias, removing the Fire Blessing. After doing this, save the game.
Head to the left and destroy the ice crystal here. Switch out the Fire Blessing you have for the Iceberg Law in the shell. Now jump down and head inward.
On this next screen, go to the right for a scene and a battle with...
Evolver: We have prepared well so this battle should be relatively easy. Despite this he has pretty high HP so it might take a while. Dash around him and unleash your best attacks. When you're getting hurt use Dwarf Tinctures to heal.
There will be a scene and he will transform into...
Evolver: His appearance changed but his name did not. Just pop a Dwarf Tincture between his attacks to stay healed and keep attacking with Soul Crushes. Watch out for his Flame Shower attack as it can deal heavy damage. If you just stay healed though you should be fine. Run away if anybody is too low HP and you can sneak in two tinctures.
Win for a scene then go off to the right. Jump around the lava and up the cliffs, check the altar for a Charm.
Now leave the volcano for a scene. Go to Crell Monferaigne.
Enter for another scene. Keep going to the right, past the tavern and a house to find the armory. Sell any unwanted weapons, armor and materials. Equip Kraad with the Flamberge.
Buy 2x Lightning Edge, 4x Silver Mail, 4x Knight Greaves and equip the party. Then sell back your old gear. I had 119,093 OTH left after this.
After the armory, head inward enter the first house you see and check the left side for an Ice Crystal. Head back outward and go to the left then head inward.
To the left is the Inn and you might as well stay here, also talk to the man here to unlock a secret area. Left of the Inn is a house, check the right side for the third part of the poem.
Now leave town to the right for a scene. Afterwards, head to Chateau Obsession.
Head to the left and grab the Sword Blessing sealstone out of the Spring. Grab the Soul Carver Wrath sealstone from the shell then head inward. Place the Soul Carver Wrath sealstone on the Dias here and then go back to the spring and grab the Treasure Blessing sealstone.
Don't fight the floating enemies here because they are non-corporeal. Now go past the Dias again and head outward.
Go to the right and when you see a crystal, teleport it onto the glowing red area to open the gate. Continue on to the right.
Go all the way to the right, using another crystal to open the gate and then head inward.
Use the floating enemy to the left to get into the left cell and check behind the barrel for a Double-check. Use the enemy on the right to get out and check the chest for a Dwarf Tincture.
Now grab one of the walking enemies and have it switch places with the floating enemy on the left, bringing the floating enemy to the middle. Use the same process to get the floating enemy into the right cell. Use the floating enemy to get up to the upper platform in the right cell for a chest with a Claymore in it. Equip this to Dylan.
Now go back into the middle and head inward. In this room, fight the large enemy to the right. Its a Greater Demon with a Dragon. Sneak around and fight only the Greater Demon. After winning, go to the left and head inward.
Go past the save point and shoot the crystal with a Photon to get to the upper platform. Grab the Shield Blessing from the shell here. Now go to the previous room and restore it.
Now head outward twice, go to the left past a Dias and head inward. At the bottom to the left there is a trapped chest with Silver Scales in it. In the middle there is a mage einherjar. Ignore the shell at the top.
Now go back to the Dias where we placed the Soul Carver Wrath and bring it with us. Place it in the Dias behind where the large enemy was. Now grab the Shield Blessing sealstone back out of the Spring. Go back to the save point and save the game.
Make sure everyone is healed up and head inward for a scene and a battle with...
Lady Cleo: Ignore her helper monsters and go for the kill. She has low HP so you should be able to take her out in two attacks. You might want to use that Double-check for massive EXP.
After the battle you can now carry three sealstones. Go to the right and take Experience Pig Law off of the shell. The bag contains a Golden Egg and the chest contains a Tome of Alchemy. Now feel free to leave the dungeon but make sure to restore the Experience Pig Law on the way out.
Now head back to Crell Monferaigne to buy supplies. Buy 66 Warrior's Arcanums, 10 Apothecary's Arcanums, 20 Dwarf Tinctures and 99 Honeysuckle Dew. This should be enough to get us through for a while.
You might also want to stay at the Inn and save the game. Now its time to go to the Crawsus Forest Ruins.
Enter for a scene. There is a Spring right away, I suggest Sword Blessing and Experience Pig Law.
Go let and onto the next screen. Use the floating enemy to get up onto the platform and grab the Earth Blessing sealstone and the Apothecary's Arcanum here.
Head inward then go all the way to the left on this screen for a chest with Silver Greaves in it. Now head inward again, go to the left and place the Earth Blessing on the Dias here.
Keep going all the way to the left and there will be a big enemy. Fight it and win for a shell to appear with Mudbank Law on it. Take this sealstone and take the bag next to it with a Foolproof Trinket in it.
Now head outward into the next area, watching out for the poisoned ponds here. Go to the right first for a trapped chest with a Lightningproof Trinket in it. Use the enemies to cross to the left and grab the light warrior einherjar at the left edge of the screen.
Use the enemy here to get up top and grab the bag with an Apothecary's Arcanum and the trapped chest with a Mirage Robe in it.
Now head outward, and to the right for a bag with an Elixir in it. Go all the way left for a trapped chest with Silver Mail in it. Now place the Mudbank Law sealstone on this Dias.
Now go all the way back to the first split and go left this time for a scene. The bridge will come down and there is a save point. Save the game.
Go left and head outward, keep going left and head outward again. There is a big enemy to the left, fight it and then retrieve the Thundercloud Law sealstone from the shell. Behind this is a trapped chest with a Union Plume in it.
Head to the right and switch your Thundercloud Law for the Lightning Blessing.
Back out into the other room take the lower path for a chest with a Silver Helm in it. Go back and take the upper exit to the left. Cross the logs here and find a heavy warrior einherjar. On the way back grab the bag on the ground with a Dwarf Tincture in it. Head right and back onto the other screen, here go right and then head inward.
Save the game again, then go left across the bridge for a battle with...
Hydra: Sneak around behind him and go to town. If you're lucky you might get a break mode on him. His attacks aren't terribly powerful, they can easily be healed with Dwarf Tinctures. If you get a chance, use the Double-check that we have. All in all one of the easier bosses we've fought so far.
Win for a scene. Now head to the right and leave this place for now. Beating this place will open the next area, Dragonscrypt.
Enter and start going to the right. Just run past the enemies here and onto the next screen.
Use the flying enemy here to reach a small platform to the left and receive a Magic Bangle. Use the two enemies here to get up on the cliff to the right for an Arbalest. Now drop down and go to the right.
Go down and to the right here for an archer einherjar. Now climb up the cliffs and go to the right corner for a chest with 20,000 OTH. Climb further up the cliffs and exit right.
In this next area keep going to the right and grab the bag with an Apothecary's Arcanum that is on the ground. Use the flying enemy to get onto the higher platform to the right for a Double-check. Keep going to the right to exit the zone.
Now we're in the Palace of the Venerated Dragon.
Go to the right through this first screen, keep going all the way to the right for a chest with a Sunlight Stone in it. Now back-track and then head inward.
Use the save point here. Then check the statue and place the Sunlight Stone.
Open the chest to the right for the Eclipse Stone. Go to the left and head outward.
Now go to the right, onto the next screen. There is a chest to the right with an Apothecary's Arcanum in it. Use the flying enemies to get up and to the right where you will find an Experience Friend Law on the shell. Down one platform is a chest with a Nectar Potion in it. Use the flying enemies to get up and to the left.
Jump over the statues here, next floor slash the first statue for a Halo Stone. Slash the next two statues for a bag with 30,000 OTH in it. There's no way to get higher so leave back to the right.
Exit this room to the left, keep heading left for a chest with a Tome of Anarchy in it. Back at the statue, place the Halo Stone.
There is a Spring here so grab Experience Pig Law and Sword Blessing. Now you can start fighting the battles here if you want to. Exit left.
Use the enemies here to get onto the upper right-hand corner for a chest with a Spell Potion and a trapped chest with a Flare Baselard. Equip this to Alicia. Now use the enemies to get onto the lower platform to the right for a bag with 25,000 OTH and a chest with Valor Greaves in it. After all that, exit left.
Go all the way left in this next room, on the far left wall is a heavy warrior's soul. Go back and then head outward.
From here, go left and take the Stone Hurler's Wrath. Now go to the right and place it on the Dias. Back-track to the first room and you should be able to get through now so head inward.
There is a save point here for you to use. Afterwards head to the right. There are two chests on the ground here with a Fairy Tincture and a Union Plume. Go to the right and jump on the platform here for a chest with an Apothecary's Arcanum. Now go left, past the save point and into the next room.
In here is a battle with a Muscular Stalker, just go straight for the direct assault. If you're lucky you might get break mode from breaking his weapons. Open the chest behind him for a Painted Cloud Stone. Go back to the elevator and place the Painted Cloud Stone then head outward.
Get hit on purpose by the statues to be warped to the poison room. Don't bother trying to cure your poison yet just quickly follow these directions. Jump all the way to the right for a chest with a Fairy Tincture in it. Use the floating enemy to get up and to the right for a magician's soul. Now get up to the upper left-hand corner for a chest with a Dragonlore in it. The bottom left-hand corner has a chest with a Charge Break in it. Exit via the statue in the middle and use the Painted Cloud Stone.
Now heal up and cure your poison. Go back out and go to the left. Dodge the statues and go all the way left for a trapped chest with a Tome of Alchemy in it. Now go all the way back to the right for some chests containing a Fairy Tincture, enemies plus a Valor Gauntlet and a Might Potion. Leave the Powerless Cap Wrath here for now.
Back in the elevator room, this time go left, dodge the statues then head inward. Go to the left, dodging another statue and open the trapped chest for a Crystal Garb. Go back to the right, dodge two statues and you'll find a Dark Moon Stone. Head back to the elevator and place it.
Exit to the left, drop down and there's a big enemy to the right. Fight it. Behind it is the Crimson Flame Stone. Now go left through the divinity void. All the way to the left and exit left.
Watch the crawling enemy as you enter, attack it to avoid an ambush. Grab the chest with Union Plume and an Elixir. That's it for this room so head right, go outward when you get a chance.
Head left in this next room for a trapped chest with Crystal Garb and a trapped chest with Soft Stone. Now go to the right, onto the next screen. Drop down and go left, then go outward. Take a right and you'll be back at the elevator.
Place the Crimson Flame Stone and you'll find a Dias and a save point. Save the game here since there's a boss coming up.
Exit left for a scene and a battle with the...
Dragon Zombie: First off, destroy the three crystals. One is exposed behind him, the other two a behind parts of the wall forming a triangle with the first crystal. Use the Double-check when you get a chance to. Once all three Solar Jewels are destroyed, try to get behind him or on his side and attack. Respond with a Dwarf Tincture when he attacks. He should go down after 4 attacks or so.
Get the chests in his room for a Dragon Armor, Sun and Moon Stone and a Golden Egg
Now before going any further, we must do some power leveling and get something that we missed earlier.
First off, place the Painted Cloud Stoneand follow the path up and to the right, grab the Powerless Cap Wrath sealstone. Now we can float through this air, this will allow us to get an einherjar.
Go back to the elevator and place the Dark Moon Stone in it. Go to the left, float over to the platform on the left. Shoot a Photon at the enemy on the right to bring it over to this platform. Now, quickly place the Powerless Cap Wrath sealstone in the Dias here. Shoot a Photon at the enemy before it falls off the cliff for a chest containing a trap and a Power Bangle. Equip this to Kraad or Dylan.
Now take the Powerless Cap Wrath sealstone back out of the Dias and take it with you. Go left, down and then right. On this screen, jump and then float over to the right for a light warrior's soul.
Now make your way back over to the elevator and there is a Spring here so you might as well restore the Powerless Cap Wrath.
You're probably low on supplies now so place the Eclipse Stone and go back to town.
Now we must level up Leone and Arngrim to level 40 as well as Dylan and Lezard to level 45. This can be a pain but I suggest this method. First off, we must unlock the Training skill.
Its Red: Leg + Strengthening + Weakness runes.
We already have red boots for everybody but Lezard. To get them we need to go back through the desert and into the other area.
Go to the Villnore armory and buy some Work Boots for Lezard.
For the Red Weakness rune we can kill Goatman in the Ancient Forest. Destroy their right arm for a Piercing Imprint.
For the Red Strengthening rune we can kill Disgusting Shell in Crawsus. Destroy their front shell for a Black Pearl.
Get at least two of each and then teach the skill to everybody you want to level up.
Now buy some supplies and go fight the Undead Dragon over and over again to level everyone up. Some people also prefer fighting the Hydra to do this. Both have their merits, and the Hydra might even be a bit faster until you release Leone and Arngrim. Just focus on those two at first and leave Dylan and Lezard for later if you want to make it faster.
Another skill you will probably want to use is Descaling Might. This skill allows you to deal more damage to scaled enemies and increases the chance of a critical attack. It only applies to normal attacks and not Soul Crush.
Its formula is Blue Slashing + Weakness + Lightning which you might already have, if not...
Blue Slashing rune - kill Lower Lizard in Serdberg. Destroy its back legs for Dragon's Talon.
Blue Weakness rune - kill Bullet Beetle in the Lost Forest. Destroy their tails for Insect Stinger.
Blue Lightning rune - kill Thunder Hawk in Serdberg. Destroy its body (left side) for Thunderbreath Core.
Then there is Unholy Purifier for the Undead Dragon which is Blue Slashing + Weakness + Holy
Blue Holy rune - kill Ballistic Rhino in the Royal Path. Destroy its horn base for a Pact Chain.
Once Leone and Arngrim are level 40, go back to the Palace of the Venerated Dragon and use the Sun and Moon stone. Go left for a scene. Leone and Arngrim will leave the party leaving you with 2x Expert's Experience, Fencer's Familiarity, Warrior's Wits, Valkyrie Favor, Slashing Sword "Farewell", Bahamut Tear and Improved Dragonslayer.
Save the stat-boosting items but feel free to use the 2x Expert's Experience on either Dylan or Lezard.
With the Bahamut Tear we can easily have one character solo the Undead Dragon so leveling up the remaining two to level 45 should be easy.
Grab the chests in this room containing 2x Expert's Experience and Ouroboros Symbol.
Now level up both Dylan and Lezard to level 45 before continuing. Once that is done, leave the Palace of the Venerated Dragon.
