Review by Spunkster
Mixed feelings, but it's all good.
This is the 2nd NFL Street, and it has just it's ups and downs from the first. So let's get right down to it, and let you in on this game.
Graphics - 9
Well, this game has GREAT graphics. You can see every detail in this game. The field are just great. You can play on rooftops, alleys, and even an aqueduct. You see splashes when you run through water, and the trash cans bend when you hit them. The players have great depth. You can create players down to the nitty gritty.
Sound - 7
The sound is wonderful through the first 20 games you play. After that, it is S-O annoying. They repeat the same insults over and over. The songs actually saved this game from having a worse rating in this category. They have a variety of songs which you can pick which ones to play and which not to play. The music is very clear and plays while you are on the field. ^_^
Gameplay - 9
This game completely rocks in terms of gameplay. It is hardcore 7 on 7 action. Imagine this... you hand off the ball. Faulk with his shirt off, sporting his shades and upside-down visor, jukes the first defender, hurdles the next defender by jumping off the wall, and then spins the football on his finger all the way down to the endzone. Think about your favorite players playing BOTH sides of the ball. Moss as a DB, Manning as a LB, or Dillon playing as strong safety.
There are plenty of different modes to play on. Own The City where you create one baller and pick up scrubs through pickup games to lead you team to own all the streets. NFL Gauntlet where you pick a team and play all the NFL teams. NFL Challenge where you create a whole team and take them against the NFL's best. There are also sweet street events like jumpball battle, two minute drill, crush the carrier, 4 on 4 mode, pick-up mode, and tons more.
The game shines h-e-r-e. Challenge your friends in most of the modes. Go online and battle it out with the best of the best. Go into NFL Challenge and complete some of the challenges with a friend for endless fun. With tons of modes, even a single player can find great fun in this game.
Get this game. If you liked NFL Street 1, definitely get this game. People say it is like the last, but if it is not broke, why fix it? Adding on great new features and modes only makes it better. This is a great game to play with friends. The only cons to this game are the gamebreakers and sound, but they hardly take away from the fun factor.
Rating: 4.0 - Great
