    This guide os for the PS2 game テニスの王子様 SmashHit!2. Most of this 
    information was just taked from my Form the Strongest Team! guide, I just 
    copy/paste most of the information, and edit it so it could be useful in Smash 
    Hit! 2. Also, this game isn't as good as Form the Strongest Team!, it has less 
    characters, less techniques, less abilities. Also, the game is much more 
    shallow, with no 'real' single player mode, so if you had to choose between 
    the two, don't get this, get Form the Strongest Team! ^_^

    If when you selected this, it was yellow, that means that there are new things 
    to save, and the first screen will tell what has been changed. Then the next 
    screen will ask you if you want to save or load (Left = Save, Right = Load).
    
    If you selected save, it will then ask you if you want to overwrite the 
    existing file if there is one (Left = Yes, Right = No)
    
    If you selected load, it will then ask you if you are sure you want to load

    A serve that changes in speed.
    
    超ライジング (Chou Rising - Super Rising)

    A hard to do rising, but it is a returns to the opponent's court with an 
    intense spin.
    
    ドライブA (Drive A)
    Position: Backcourt
    Ball: Any ball landing in front of the service line except for smashes

            (can't be used against other techniques)
    Pair: Ball Strength Up
    Description:
    You hit it at the opponent and it hits their racquet, and they hit it out.
    
    ドライブB (Drive B)
    Position: Backcourt
    Ball: Any ball landing in front of the service line except for smashes

    Pair: Ball Strength Up
    Description:
    After the ball bounces towards the front of the court, you return with a 
    strong volley. Requires a footwork of A or above.
    
    ツイストスマッシュ (Twist Smash)
    Position: Forecourt
    Timing: When Hitting a Smash
    Button: R1 + X (O becomes a normal smash)
            (can't be used against other techniques)
    Pair: Ball Strength Up (when using R1 + X)
    Description:
    Home in and jump, to hit a smash. after it bounces, the ball jumps up from the 
    twist.
    
    * 模倣 (Mohou - Copy)
    You do a buggy whip shot, airwalk drop, zero skiki drop, etc. Requires a 
    tension level of 4. Do a 'buggy whip shot' with R1 + O -> 'twist spin shot' 
    with R1 + X -> 'Sono Teido ka Kozou - Is that all you got, kid?' with R1 + X 
    or O -> 'Okuden: Kabezoi' with R1 + X and continue. Lastly, R1 + X to start 
    覚醒の証 (Kakusei no Akashi - Proof of Awakening), or press R1 + O to fake. 
    Restricted to singles only.
    
    片足スプリットステップ (Kata-ashi split step - One-legged Split Step)
    Timing: After own shot, before opponent's shot
    Button: R1 + O
    Description:
    Till the point is decided, you move faster.
    
    挑発 (Chouhatsu - Provocation)
    Timing: After own shot, before opponent's shot
    Button: R1 + X
    Description:
    To an opponent without 冷静 (Reisei - Calmness), and has low physical strength 
    and tension level 1. By using this, their physical strength may disappear 
    completely. Only can be used once per game. Requires a mental of S or above.
    
    パワーアンクル外し (Power Ankle hazushi - Power Ankles Removal)
    Timing: When you lose a point
    Button: R1 + X
    Description:
    Footwork increases by 1 for the next three games. Can only be used once in a 
    match. If you have this technique, in "Pair Mode" your footwork may do down by 
    one, but you gain some bonus footwork in training.
    
    バギーホイップショット (Buggy Whip Shot)
    Position: Backcourt
    Ball: Any ball landing behind the service line except for lobs and smashes
    Button: R1 + O
            (can't be used against other techniques)
    Description:
    A tight angle cross shot that curves.

    Shot with no bounce, a drop shot that goes over the net and then rolls back.
    
    コーナーショット (Corner Shot)
    Position: Behind the service line

    Description:
    A high speed shot that is accurately aimed at a baseline corner.
    
    * 手塚ゾーン (Tezuka Zone)
    Timing: After own shot, before opponent's shot
    Button: R1 + O
    Description:
    Until the point is decided, all the opponent's shots (except techniques, 
    smashes and drops) are drawn in. During activation, you don't gain any tension.

    つばめ返し (Tsubame Gaeshi - Swallow Return)
    Ball: Topspin, lob
    Posture: Forehand

    Pair: Ball Strength Up
    Description:
    A shot with an intense slice, and with barely any bounce. After the bounce, 
    the ball is really low making a return shot impossible.
    
    羆落とし (Higuma Otoshi - Brown Bear Drop)
    Ball: Smash
    Button: R1 + O
    Pair: Ball Strength Up
    Description:
    When the opponent does a smash, you direct the ball back to the opponent's 
    baseline.
    
    白鯨 (Hakugei - White Whale)
    Position: Backcourt
    Ball: Fall behind the service line, any ball except smash
    Stance: Backband
    Button: R1 + X (O does a lob)
    Description:
    The ball suddenly climbs up from the net, and bounces vertically on the 
    baseline. After the bounce, the ball turns back towards the user.
    
    つばめ孵し (Tsubame Kaeshi - Swallow Hatch)
    Tension: 2+
    Ball: Any ball except a topspin, lob or smash
    Stance: Forehand
    Button: R1 + X
    Description:
    The effect is the same as a tsubame gaeshi, except it can only be returned by

    A homing technique that drops the ball near the net.

    Description:
    Regardless if the incident angle, you can hit it hard to either the left or

    A high dive to hit the ball, the area that you cover is wide. Must have 
    the ability "Acrobatics" first before you can learn this technique.

         (Ooishi Jikiden Moon Volley - Oosihi Transmitted Moon Volley)
    Position: Backcourt
    Ball: Any ball except a drop, lob or smash
    Button: R1 + X
    Pair: Ball Strength Up
    Description:
    A spin volley that goes 1.5 times as fast and lands on the baseline. Must have 
    Ooishi on your team to get this technique.
    
    菊丸ビーム (Kikumaru Beam)
    Position: Forecourt
    Timing: When you hit a smash
    Ball: Any ball except a smash
    Stance: Backcourt
    Button: R1 + O
    Pair: Ball Strength Up
    Description:
    On your opponent's ball, you do a jumping, backhand smash.
    
    * 菊丸ステップ (Kikumaru Step)
    Tension Level: 3+
    Position: Forecourt
    Timing: After own shot, before opponent's shot
    Button: R1 + X
    Description:
    You have a large cover over the opponent's next ball. A ball in the cover will 
    be returned acrobatically.
    
    充電 (Juuden - Charging)
    Timing: After own shot, before opponent's shot
    Button: R1 + O
    Description:
    You can use this when yout stamina gauge is white. When you don't move, you 
    recover stamina and physical strength.

    Description:
    A shot 3 times stronger than normal. If it is returned, depending on where you 
    are, if infront of the service line, then it will be a lob, if behind the 
    service line, it will be a drop.
    
    グレート波動球 (Great Hadoukyuu)
    Ball: Any ball except a smash
    Button: R1 + X
    Pair: Ball Strength Up
    Description:
    Strong shot aimed at the opponent. If they try to return it, the racquet will 
    be blown away, but if they leave it, it has a high chance of going out.
    
    * ダッシュ波動球 (Dash Hadoukyuu)
    Ball: Any ball except a smash
    Button: R1 + X
    Description:
    During the opponent's match game, it replaces the "Great Hadoukyuu". Can blow 
    away opponent's racquets. Restricted to doubles only, only used once per match.
    
    オラオラカモーン (Ora Ora Com'on - Hey Hey Com'on)
    Timing: After own shot, before opponent's shot
    Button: R1 + O
    Description:
    May cause the opponent to do a miss shot, making them hit it directly to you.

    Description:
    A homing, jumping smash. Keep hold of the button to delay the smash, when you 
    let go of the button, the ball leaves the racquet. Stands for 'Delayed Release 
    Smash'.

    Description:
    Increases the chance of the opponent hitting a miss shot next shot. Stands for 
    'Data Analysis and Stimulation'.

            (can't be used against other techniques)
    Pair: The person that hits this ball loses half of his stamina
    Description:
    A smash. Even if the opponent can return it, they drop their racquet. Must 
    have learnt "Dunk Smash" first.
    
    ジャックナイフ (Jack Knife)
    Position: Behind the service line
    Ball: Ball that bounces behind the service line, and any ball except a lob or 
         smash
    Button: R1 + X
            (can't be used against other techniques)
    Pair: Ball Strength Up
    Description:
    Shot that is hit from up high, uses the user's body weight to do a strong back 
    hand shot.
    
    ジャックナイフポーチ (Jack Knife Poach)
    Position: Forecourt
    Ball: Ball that bounces behind the service line, and any ball except a lob or 
         smash
    Button: R1 + X
            (can't be used against other techniques)
    Pair: Ball Strength Up
    Description:
    Shot that is hit from up high, uses the user's body weight to do a strong back 
    hand shot.
    
    スマッシュアウト (Smash Out)
    Tension Level: 4+
    Ball: Smash that bounces behind the service line
    Button: R1 + O
            (can't be used against other techniques)
    Description:
    You shout out "It's Out!" and the opponent's smash goes out.
    
    アレ (Are - That)
    Tension Level: 2+
    Timing: When you win a game, and you are winning in game count

    Description:
    You disturb the opponent's concentration, and their tension level goes down by

    - Episode 1 - 天才vs波動球 (Genius vs. Hadokyuu) -

         Synopsis: Its the finals. Your opponents are the favourites, Seigaku. 
              First match, doubles 2, in front of Fudomine's Ishida and Sakurai 
              pair stands Seigaku's genius Fuji Shuusuke and power tennis Kawamura 
              Takashi pair. Against the favorites, the Ishida Sakurai pair has 
              gone forward positively to a good start, but Fuji's triple counter 
              "Higuma Otoshi" is annoying, putting pressure on the Fudomine pair. 
              In order to take back the flow of the game from Seigaku, Ishida has 
              finally decided to lift the seal on his "Hadokyuu"... Will go as 
              expected, and they win against the Fuji Kawamura pair?
    
         Clear Conditions: Use the Hadokyuu within this game!
    
         Instructions: To do the Hadokyuu, press R1 + X, and you must do it to 
              clear (whether you win or lose). To do it you need to keep hitting 
              the ball to build up willpower. You may press square to build up 
              willpower, but as this is so easy, there is actually no need, just 
              keep hitting the ball.

    - Episode 2 - ダークホースの不動峰 (Fudomine's Dark Horse) -
    ------------------------------------------------------------
         Difficulty: **
    
         Synopsis: In the Tokyo Prefectural Tournament quaterfinals, up against 
              Hyoutei, the captain Tachibana goes up in singles 3. A Hyoutei true 
              regular, Shishido Ryou, declared that he'll end the match within 20 
              minutes. Will it be as expected where Tachibana defeats this strong 
              enemy, and Fudomine move up to the best 4?
    
         Clear Conditions: Win within 15 minutes!
    
         Instructions: You have already won 3 games and you have to win the 
              remaining 3 games in 15 minutes. Using your "silent drop" technoque 
              is useful, as it is hard to return. Also when you are recieveing, 
              save up for your "return" technique for some easy points. If you 
              keep using techniques, you tension level goes up, and you can use 
              more techniques easier. Overall, this is another easy win.

    - Episode 3 - リズムにHigh! (Rhythm High!) -
    --------------------------------------------
         Difficulty: ***
    
         Synopsis: Its the Kantou Regoinal Tournament quarterfinals, and you are 
              versing Yamabuki. It's singles 2 and you have chosen Kamio to play, 
              and he is versing a Jr. Senbatsu chosen player Sengoku Kiyosumi. 
              Sengoku is a player with an amazing sight for moving objects and has 
              a real tennis sense, and as Kamio starts to go by his rhythm, the 
              match heats up. Will Kamio win against Sengoku as expected, and will 
              Fudomine be able to secure a ticket to the National Tournament?
    
         Clear Conditions: Win!
    
         Instructions: The game count is 3 games each. At the start it might me a 
              little hard, but with long rallies, you build up your willpower, and 
              then you are able to perform your techniques. Use "Nitro-accel" and 
              "Sonic Bullet" to help you, and hit to the opposite side to where 
              Sengoku is. Also when serving, use "Quick Serve" an get easy points. 
              But beware that Kamio doesn't have much stamina, and he can easily 
              run out if you aren't careful.

    = 7.2 St Rudolph Chapter =
    ==========================-----------------------------
    - Episode 1 - 弟の答え (The Younger Brother's Answer) -
    -------------------------------------------------------
         Difficulty: *
    
         Synopsis: One day, a student from a tennis school, Mizuki met with 
              Seigaku's Fuji Yuuta. Yuuta hates to be compared to his older 
              brother, and wants to find a place where he can be himself. While 
              walking home, Mizuki invites Yuuta to a tennis match. Will the 
              result be as expected, with Mizuki showing Yuuta the difference in 
              ther power, and lead Yuuta to the new place where he bolongs (St. 
              Rudolph)?
    
         Clear Conditions: Win!
    
         Instructions: Game count starts at 3-0 your way. Because Mizuki's "Bend 
              Serve" and "Intelligent Shot" are easily returned, I just went 
              forward to the net and started volleying left and right. Muziku's 
              footwork is also pretty low, so it makes it hard to move quickly. 
              Also, he has a short stamina bar, so be sure to end the match 
              quickly.

    - Episode 2 - 赤澤マジック (Akazawa Magic) -
    --------------------------------------------
         Difficulty: ***
    
         Synopsis: In the Tokyo Prefectural Tournament quaterfinals, up against 
              Seigaku, doubles 1, the Akazawa Kaneda pair are up against the 
              National level golden pair Oishi and Kikumaru. Using the data 
              collected by Mizuki, they have lowered Kikumaru's concentration 
              levels, and are beginning to get the advantage, but and the 
              opponents are strong, and the match is now tied in a deadlock. 
              Will it be as expected for the Akazawa Kaneda pair to win against 
              the golden pair, and show off St. Rudolph's as natural tennis 
              players?
    
         Clear Conditions: Win!
    
         Instructions: This one can actually ve fairly hard. Oishi's moon volley 
              is a killer, and it is very hard to return. I found it easiest to 
              just go up to the net, and keep volleying it. When you are at the 
              back, let Kaneda take care of most of the shots, but as he is pretty 
              useless, you will have to cover quite a bit. I didn't use any 
              techniques for this scenario, as they are useless against the golden 
              pair. Just make this a quick game, and it will be easier to win.

    - Episode 3 - コートの内と外 (In and Out the Court) -
    -----------------------------------------------------
         Difficulty: **
    
         Synopsis: In the Tokyo Prefectural Tournament quaterfinals, up against 
              Seigaku, doubles 2, the Kisarazu Yanagisawa pair is up against the 
              2nd year pari Momoshio and Kaidou. From Mitsuki special training, 
              they are playing the match according to his data. But exceeding 
              expectations was Kaidou's boomerang snake, which let Seigaku seize 
              the game. Will Kisarazu be able to beturn the boomerang snake, and 
              gain the victory?
    
         Clear Conditions: Return the boomerang snake into the opponent's court!
    
         Instructions: If you play in the front part of the court, the boomerang 
              snake will go round the left hand side of the net, and bounce in the 
              back area of the doubles court. So, if you stand on the left side of 
              the baseline and wait, it will be easy to return the boomerang 
              snake. To make Kaidou do the bommerang snake, start a rally with 
              him, and he will eventually do the bommerang snake when he is able 
              to.

    = 7.3 Hyoutei Chapter =

    - Episode 1 - ジローという名の男 (A Boy Called Jirou) -

         Difficulty: *
    
         Synopsis: After their loss against "The Dark Horse" Fudomine at the Tokyo 
              Prefectural Tournament, Hyoutei, in the 5th place matches against 
              St. Rudolph, have finally thrown some true regular members in to the 
              game. And in the singles matches, Akutagawa Jirou verses the one who 
              lost to Seigaku's Echizen and is also Fuji Shuusuke's younger 
              brother, Fuji Yuuta. Will it be as expected and Jirou wins, and out 
              them a step further towards the Kantou Regional Tournament?
    
         Clear Conditions: Win within 15 minutes!
    
         Instructions: The game s count is 3-0 and you are winning. Win 3 more 
              games and you win the match. Easy win, just keep hitting left and 
              right and you will easily win. You don't need to use techniques and 
              you can still easily win this.

    - Episode 2 - 反応時間 (Response Time) -
    ----------------------------------------
         Difficulty: **
    
         Synopsis: After their loss against Fudomine at the Tokyo Prefectural 
              Tournament, the regular player Shishido was dropped from the lineup. 
              With his kouhai Ootori as his opponent, he undergoes special 
              training, to regain his spot in the regular lineup. And in the first 
              match of the Kantou Regional Tournament, they are up against 
              Seigaku, doubles 1, the Shishido Ootori pari go up against the 
              'data-man' Inui and Kaidou pair. Will turn out as expected, with 
              Hyoutei winning, and will Shishido be able to regain his pride, and 
              trust his Ootori in this battle against this tough opponent?
    
         Clear Conditions: Win!
    
         Instructions: The game count starts off 3-0 your way. You start this with 
              only about half of your stamina, so you have to be careful. Even if 
              you run out of energy, you may drop one or two games to regain some 
              stamina. When Ootori serves, you have the advantage, so use it. 
              Kaidou's snake can be annoying, when he hits it, run in the other 
              direction to the blank area to retun it. When you are at the back, 
              cover for Ootori, and use your "Deep Rising" technique in an empty 
              space. Overall this game is fairly easy, as Ootori is a reliable 
              partner who can basically hit everything.

    - Episode 3 - 頂上対決 (Showdown of the Best) -
    -----------------------------------------------
         Difficulty: ****
    
         Synopsis: 1st match of the Kantou Regional Tournament: singles 1, its 
              your captain Atobe vs Seigaku's overwhelmingly strong and 
              harismatic Tezuka Kunimitsu. The scores is 1 win, 2 loss, and 1 
              draw, so the future of Hyoutei rests on Atobe's shoulders. Will it 
              turn out as expected and Atobe wins against this rival, and answer 
              to the entire tennis club's wishes?
    
         Clear Conditions: Win!
    
         Instructions: The game count starts at 3-2 and you are winning. Remember 
              to be careful of Tezuka's service games. Also, make this a quick 
              battle, as your stamina won't last as long as Tezuka's. Tezuka likes

              rally, you can lure Tezuka to give you a lob by going forward to the 
              net if you want to, and if he does give you a net, you have a chance

    With a limited number of balls, you must beat 44 players in a rally to clear 
    this mode. Use up all the balls and you fail. The number of balls you get are 
    as follows:
         easy: 100
         normal: 30
         hard: 10
    When you finish this with ALL the characters, you unlock "EDIT MODE", the 
    difficulty used doesn't matter.
    It appears in the main menu, between 一球入魂 and BOWLING.

    Edit mode is where you train up the characters like you do in pair mode. The 
    catch is that you have infinite AP, so you can make them as string as you 
    like. You select a secret character as your main character, then select any 
    other character to be your partner. But you can only learn a total of 10 
    techniques per character.
    
    The pairs you have created can be used in PRACTICE MATCHES, in the character 
    selection screen, use square to open a menu and select the pair you created.

    Move Left/Right - use the left analog stick to move your character left and 
                      right, confirm with the O button
    
    Change Ball - press L2/R2 to change ball weight: 
                  軽 - light     中 - normal     重 - heavy
    
    Control Power - press up/dwon to control how much power you want to use, the 
                    higher it is the faster the ball is launched, but it will also 
                    be harder to choose the direction
    
    Control Direction - After you selected the above, there will be a cursor 
                        moving left and right to select the direction. Stop the 
                        cursor with the O button, to choose the direction. 
                        Stopping it in the middle and it will go straight. After 
                        stopping it you may press left/right in order to select 
                        how much spin to put on the ball.
    
    Taunt - by pressing R1 when it is an opponent's go, you can hinder their 
            concentration, and their cursor will move randomly for a while.

    There are four statistics that each character posses:
    STAMINA (スタミナ) - this is the ball spped and the force of the ball
    POWER (パワー) - this also affects the speed of the ball
    TECHNIQUE (テクニック) - this effects the speed that the cursor moves in the 
                             direction steeing stage
    MENTAL (メンタル) - this changes how much you are effected by the opponent's 
                        taunts (R1)

    TOPSPIN (トップスピン) - when using a right handed character, their left sided 
                             shots will become stronger
    SLICE (スライス) - when using a right handed character, their right sided 
                       shots will become stronger
    MY GLOVE (マイグローブ) - slows down the speed of the direction cursor
    CALMNESS (冷静) - taunts don't effect them as much
    PINCH (ピンチ) - speeds up the speed of the direction cursor
    LUCKY (ラッキー) - increases the chance of colour pins appearing

    When you goto the jukebox to select the song, depending on the song you 
    choose, your abilities change, and the speed of the direction cursor also 
    changes. When you don't get a strike for a while, the character will goto the 
    jukebox. Choose the song the character likes, and it will raise the chance of 
    a strike, and vica versa. Even if you choose a song that your character 
    doesn't like, it's not impossible to get a strike.
