Fudomine FAQ This is an FAQ of Fudomine and their tennis team. The stars next to them is my judgment of how useful a move is (1-5 stars). I might do an update of this if there's something wrong or I find new info... -The stats total are calculated using SS=10, S=9, A=8 etc... -Friendship is when you play doubles, and when you execute a special (when a cut in picture of your face shows up), your partner also presses R1 with a special bar (if you do this right, both of your faces will show up), this has different effects depends on what shot is being used. Fudomine Roster: (Search [#] to find character]  Tachibana Kippei  Ibu Shinji  Kamio Akira  Ishida Tetsu  Sakurai Masaya  Tachibana Kippei Vitals Year: 3rd Height: 179 cm Birthday: August 15th Power: A Footwork: D Stamina: D Mental: A Technique: A Total: 34/50 Passive Abilities Grip: Harder to get racket blown away from hand Dynamic body vision: Harder to hit bad shots, but when you do, your special bar decreases Calm: Lessen the effect of all special bar lowering effects Underestimate: Until the opponent uses a special, or if you are in the lead, all stats go down by 1 Analysis Fudomine's captain, but not necessarily their best player. While his stats are nice, his footwork is his weakness, and often it's enough to lose him games. His specials are nice, the Silent Drop is very effective, which makes him a good net player since it can return lobs. His serve return special is the fastest in the game, and one of the best. The Dash Volley sorts of cover up for his lack of speed and the Topspin shot isn’t bad also. While a complete player and a nice arsenal of moves, lack of stamina and footwork will be his undoing. Specials ***** [Return] When: when returning serves Button: R1+X A super fast serve return, 95% untouchable in singles, the only chance of hitting it back is guess a direction then pray that you can hit a weak shot back. In doubles against the computer, it's best used if aimed right down the middle of the court. One of the two top returns in the game. ***** [Silent Drop] When: You're in the frontcourt Button: R1+O Friendship: The ball doesn't bounce, thus making it like the Zero-Shiki Second best drop shot in the game, the friendship factor makes it tied with Tezuka's Zero-Shiki as the best. The regular version isn't bad either, it barely bounces, and can return lobs, so Tachibana's pretty much covered. *** [Dash Volley] When: You're in the backcourt, the ball falls in front of the service line Button: R1+X Friendship: Shot's effectiveness rises Tachibana will rush to the net and volley it right back (match against Shishido). This makes up for his lack of speed and a useful counter for drop shots. ** [Topspin Return] When: You're in the backcourt, and balls other and drop shots or smashes Button: R1+O A slower version of Tezuka's corner shot, you can aim it in the corners. Decent in singles, but not much of a threat in doubles.  Ibu Shinji Vitals Year: 2nd Height: 165 cm Birthday: November 3rd Power: G Footwork: D Stamina: E Mental: C Technique: A Total: 25/50 Passive Abilities Slow Starter: For the first game, all stats go down by 1 Unevenness Air: Doesn't matter how the games turn out, his tensions will go up and down at random Analysis: Shinji is very badly made in this game, his stats are moves are among the worse and his passives made them even more horrible. The only good move that he has is the mumbling, which makes him a pain to face in doubles. But overall, he's in the bottom half of all players. Specials ** [Kick Serve] When: Serving Button: R1+X, R1+O is the fake version Friendship: Shot's effectiveness rises Three times as heavy as the normal serve, it acts like a twist serve. *** [Spot] When: After you alternate topspin and slice twice, any balls other than a smash Button: R1+X or R1+O Friendship: Shot's effectiveness rises You have to hit topspin, then slice, then topspin, then slice before you can use this special. Once activated, it's unreturnable. It paralyzes the opponent's arm and blows their racket away. **** [Grumbling] When: After own shot, before the opponent moves in to position to hit Button: R1+X Drain 1/4 of your special bar, but completely drain your opponent's special bar. The best special bar drain move in the game, very annoying, and you can probably use it again before the opponent's bar fills up since it only takes away 1/4 of your bar.  Kamio Akira Vitals Year: 2nd Height: 165 cm Birthday: August 26th Power: F Footwork: A Stamina: C Mental: C Technique: F Total: 26/50 Passive Abilities Side Dash: Side to side movements are faster Pinch: When you are losing, all stats go up by one Analysis Don't let his stats fool you, he's one of the better players in the game. Blessed with great speed, a passive ability to make him faster, and a special move to make him even faster, there isn't many balls he can't get to. Speed kills and that's what make Kamio deadly, a decent mental stat allows him to hit his great specials. If you use him right, he can beat anyone in the game. Specials **** [Quick Serve] When: Serving Button: R1+X Friendship: Shot's effectiveness rises For some reason, the CPU has a hard time returning this serve, although it isn't all that special, very good against the CPU, so-so against humans. *** [Nitro Accel] When: Balls other than smashes Button: R1+O Friendship: Shot's effectiveness rises Can counter a lot of moves, the shot is highly unreturnable, it shots up after hitting the ground. **** [Sonic Bullet] When: Tension 3 and above, balls other than drop, lob or smash Button: R1+OX Friendship: Shot's effectiveness rises Fast, almost invisible shot, comparable to Kirihara's Laser Shot. Very effective at countering, or just scoring a point, if you aim it at the corner, almost unstoppable, plus you can use it at the net too. ** [Viper Dive] When: You must be behind the service line, opponent has to hit a drop shot Button: R1+O Friendship: Makes the shot bounces very little Kaidoh's diving move, it allows you to get a drop shot, although Kamio hardly needs it with his speed. *** [Speed Ace] When: After own shot, before opponent gets into position to hit Button: R1+O Until the point is decided, speed increases by 50%, you can change directions instantly. While you move, your special bar does not go up after you activate this special  Ishida Tetsu Vitals Year: 2nd Height: 188 cm Birthday: November 11th Power: A Footwork: E Stamina: C Mental: D Technique: G Total: 25/50 Passives: Grip: Harder to have racket blown away Power Stroker: Power of strokes are increased by one Spirit: Special bar rises faster Analysis: A good doubles player due to his ability to hit a decent amount of great specials. His Hadokyuu drains away stamina, the Soutenkyuu can score points easily, and his smash is very effective. Specials *** [Hadokyuu] When: Balls other than lobs or smashes Button: R1+X Friendship: Shot's effectiveness rises An extremely powerful flat shot, massive stamina will be drained from whoever tries to return it. It can drain away all stamina in a pinch. **** [Soutenkyuu] When: Balls other than lobs or smashes Button: R1+O Friendship: Shot's effectiveness rises A very high lob, 1.5x the normal weight of the ball. This shot is very effective. In singles, it can beat down people who like to stay at the net, and in doubles it can bail you out from time to time. It's a decent speed lob that you can aim at the corners. It can't be touched until it's near the corner vicinity, and even if they do smash it back, the smash isn't as fast as normal smashes. **** [Ball Crush] When: When it is time to smash Button: R1+X Friendship: Shot's effectiveness rises A smash that is 3x the normal weight. A great move since it can't be returned once it hits the ground, so aim close to the net. One of the better smashes in the game, I would say top 3 or so.  Sakurai Masaya Vitals Year: 2nd Height: 172 cm Birthday: July 18th Power: D Footwork: F Stamina: D Mental: B Technique: D Total: 25/50 Passives: Topspin: Hit topspin shots one stage better than normal Analysis: Not very good in general, high mentality stat allows him to hit a lot of specials, but other than that, nothing much. Specials: ** [Intense Topspin] When: When you're in the backcourt, balls other than lobs or smashes Button: R1+O Friendship: Shot's effectiveness rises Can't be used to counter, it has 2x the normal power. Other than that, nothing special. ** [Violent Topspin] When: When you're in the backcourt, balls other than lobs or smashes Button: R1+X Friendship: Shot's effectiveness rises 3x the normal power of a regular topspin. Same as his other special.
