Final Fantasy X-2 is the sequel to the title Final Fantasy X, both of which are originally PS2 titles, and is the first known incidence of a direct sequel in the Final Fantasy series.
In Final Fantasy X, there is a scene in Luca in which Tidus teaches Yuna how to whistle. If you visit this same spot in Final Fantasy X-2 - it's in the area next to the Mi'ihen Highroad - and listen carefully, you can hear a whistle off in the distance.
Yuna's speaking voice is Hedy Burress but when she uses the Songstress dressphere to sing the songs "Real Emotion" and "1000 Words", the singing is done by Jade Villalon. But when Yuna sings in battle, it's Hedy's own singing. Likewise with Tara Strong and Gwendoline Yeo when Rikku and Paine use songstress commands in battle.

Connection to Other Media
Upon meeting a certain type of serpent enemy in this game, one of Rikku's pre-battle quotes is "Snake, Snake, Snaaaake!", which is a reference to the Metal Gear Solid games (in which the hero has the codename Snake) and the exact same line is said by supporting characters when you get a game over.
