Well the game isnt out in Europe yet so I'm waiting and preparing the
sections.I'm also taking a look at the japanese Version to get at least
a few information.

well,finally the European Version is out here and I can start writing
it.Finished the Arcade Mode.But there's also the Dungeon Mode and so
on....I also finished the character section and started the Enemies
Section.The Wakthrough and Maps are also under construction.

Wow....had not much time to make an updates so this one might seem a
bit late...well i played a bit the dungeon mode and found out how to
unlock Chris Redfield.I also have (nearly) all the missions for the
Dungeon Mode levels.This FAQ should be complete with the next updates.

Taking out the garbage. This is not just an update but a general
overhaul as well. I've changed contact information so it was
necessary after all these years.


I. - Story
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The story of this game is based on a dream Claire has while being in
the plane in the original Code Veronica game. This game actually
originates from the Arcades so this adds up to the fact that this
game is non-canonical in the Resident Evil series.


II. - Characters
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: CLAIRE REDFIELD
Claire was in her cell when a explosion occured.She got off her cell
and went outside.When she noticed that there were zombies she took
her Handgun(her basic weapon)and started to shoot.She met Steve and
this is where the game begins.A cheap smack-off of the originals'
game storyline.

Name: STEVE BURNSIDE
Claire's mentioned male sidekick as mentioned above.He is a
prisoner on the island and wants to escape as well.

Name: CHRIS REDFIELD
Chris Redfield is prominently featured in this game.No bearing to
the plot whatsoever he can be unlocked for the Dungeon Mode.

Name: RODRIGO JUAN RAVAL
The perfect oddity in this game. Originally planned as secret
character in an excluive extra scenario in the original Code veronica
game,Rodrigo didn't survive the final cut.He strangely didn't even
make it into the battle mode of Code Veronica. Here he is the last
reward in the game and he's up for a special challenge.


III. - Enemies

The essence of this arcade based game.The normal enemies appear in
almost every level,be it Arcade or Dungeon Mode:

Slow but numerous.Any weapon works with those enemies.

Occurence: Arcade Mode,Dungeon Mode

Name: DOGS
The dogs are quick and can be much more harming from this games'
perspective.Any weapon works.

Occurence: Arcade Mode,Dungeon Mode

Name: LICKERS
Both versions from Resident Evil 2 are featured in this game. The
lickers remain deadly with their long tongues.Use any gun from
distance and the shotgun in close battles.

Occurence: Arcade Mode,Dungeon Mode

Name: DRAIN DEIMOS
This monster from Resident Evil 3:Nemesis occurs only in one level
from the arcade mode. It behaves similar to the licker.

occurence: Official Residence (Arcade Mode)

Name: HUNTERS
The hunters are quick and strong and also have a decent way of
attacking you.Then again,you just need a solid gun to take them
down.

Occurence: Arcade Mode,Dungeon Mode

Name: SWEEPERS
Bigger and stronger versions of the hunters.You can't get poisoned in
this game so don't think about the original game.

Occurence: Dungeon Mode

Name: BANDERSNATCHERS
Same as in Code Veronica.They can hit you with their long left arms.

Occurence: Official Residence (Arcade Mode)

Name: ROACHES
A rather silly enemy from it's corresponding mode.No need to comment.

Occurence: Vs. Roach Mode

Name: MOTHS
Same as roaches.

Occurence: Vs. Roach Mode

Name: BATS
You'll encounter this enemy in the underground area.They can fly which
can be annoying but your gun should put an end to them quite easily.

Occurence: Underground Area (Dungeon Mode)

Name: SPIDERS
These spiders can take a lot of damage.Use a solid gun like the shotgun
to get rid of these.

Occurence: Arcade Mode,Dungeon Mode


Boss enemies:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
You meet these enemies always at the end of a stage.Some are weak,
some are strong,some are very hard:

Name: BIG SPIDER
Like the small spider it can spit poison on you so move some steps
back.Use your shotgun while walking around it.Shoot it again and
again.That should be enough.

Occurence: Prison (Arcade Mode)
           Clock Tower (Dungeon Mode)

Name: BIG HUNTER
Not a big difference to the normal hunters and sweepers.Just shoot
him with weapons like Machine Guns and he'll drop dead after a
short time.

Occurence: Official Residence (Arcade Mode)

Name: BIG SWEEPER
Same as above but only stronger.He can be avoided by using a
different path.

Occurence: Inferno (Dungeon Mode)

Name: ALEXANDER
This is a bit difficult.Shoot while he's just walking and then
when he spits poison step backwards and try to avoid the poison
with side steps.

Occurence: Training Camp (Arcade Mode)

Name: ALEXIA
A bit like the Spider...Just shoot her while running around her
with side steps and when there's her blood on the ground make side
steps not to get hurt.This should work.

Occurence: Official Residence (Arcade Mode)
           Underground (Dungeon Mode)

Name: GIANT WORM
This is also a bit tricky...either try to protect yourself in a
corner or always take a look at your "Enemy Compass".It'll always will
show you where the worm is.Move that the worm appears right in front
of you so you can shoot it.It's only a bit difficult but possible
nevertheless.

Occurence: Underground (Dungeon Mode)

Name: TYRANT
He's really a pain...This might not a big help because it's very
difficult to avoid his attacks..so shoot and run,make sidesteps
and shoot again.

Occurence: Airport (Arcade Mode)

Name: THREE TYRANTS
Insane difficulty.You face two tyrants at once.They're so quick to
you wont even be able to really dodge.No need for it,take out your
best guns and shoot those guys to oblivion.Afterwards a third one
will pop out.Same technique as usual.

Occurence: Inferno (Dungeon Mode)

Name: NEMESIS TYPE T
Yeah our good old Nemesis from RE3.When you meet him in Arcade Mode
you wont be able to beat him.One punch from him and you're dead.Why
the T?Because he's special...he only appears when time runs out..kind
of a state of emergency.Well when you fight like him as a boss
you'll be able to beat him.Use the Linear Launcher and shoot him.
He'll try to shoot you with his Rocket Launcher so stay alert.

"Only a few hours remain for me as a concious human being.This will
be the final entry in my diary.I won't waste precious moments whining
about what could've been.Who droped the ball this time?Ah well,what's
done is done.In 48 hours the virus will contaminate this
entire island and every life form will die out.Soon I will be nothing
more than completely by the virus.

She is my last hope.My invincible lover,Neticia.I first met you in an
empty solitary cell.You had innocently chosen that spot to make your
web,a place to call home,though there was no food for you to catch.I
wonder why I fell for you...Perhaps it was because I sensed we were
kindred spirits,choosing to live our lives in some sheltered corner
secluded from others...I diligently kept feeding you with moths and
roaches.Watching you wrap their bodies and suck out their fluids
relaxed me.I noticed how you had grown,but I wanted you to be bigger
and stronger.That's why I started to steal bodies for you.There was no
harm in it,after all they were the dead remnanats from various
experiments,no longer useful and left to be disposed of secretly.So I
did just that,by feeding you.The effect of the virus on you was
astounding,and in no time you had become as big as a man.Then,when I
ran out of food,I sent a prisoner to the cell.They would be tortured
to death by Alfred anyway.No one cared if a few went missing...At last
you have grown too big to live in a cell.Now I let you crawl loose in
the prison.The ceiling has become your nesting place and you've begun
to devour prisoners and prison officers at random.No one will be able
to destroy my lover.You are far more powerful than that annoying Alfred,
your fangs are sharp enough to slice his empty little head off with
one bite.

All those memories...they'll be gone.My whole body has been infected
with the virus.Now I'm hearing the noise you make when you crawl on the
ceiling with your eight slender legs.Neticia.I guess you have eaten your
food up.I guess the hunger is urging you.My dear Netty...Kill everyone.
Destroy everything.Devour all.The meaning of the world will be lost
when I die.I know you are gazing at me with your urge,and let nature
take it's course as you sink your beautiful fangs into me..."

Secret Report 2: A LETTER SENT TO THE COMMANDER OF THE LOCK FORT
                 ISLAND FROM AN INSPECTOR OF UMBRELLA

"INSPECTION REPORT

Here is a brief report of what we have found so far.

Our undercover agents have yet to crack the identity of the spy working
for H.C.F. however based on the D-files obtained in Geneva.We are
certain he is on Lock Fort Island and has gained full access to all
areas of personnel.Our men have been on the case for three months
now and I assure you this matter will be dealt with swiftly nad
quietly once we have identified our target.Our sources inform us that
he has joined forces with our enemy.Plotting some sort of offensive attack.
Few details are known at this time but we do know that they have succeeded
in duplicating the prototype.

Given the new urgency of this situation I have taken the liberty of sending
you a special gift.Nemesis Type T the latest B.O.W. was created in the States
and has set the world on fire with it's performance in Raccoon City.Since
everything about it is completely confidential including its budget and
inventory controls there will be no shipping record.The package is hidden
in amongst other materials in a routine shipment.

All evidence of this transaction must be destroyed with the utmost
discretion and any knowledge of it will die with you and me.

P.S.
Nemesis T is programmed to set loose once an emergency is
detected.There is no other way to activate it.Regard it as a talisman and
use only as your last resort."

Secret Report 3: A MESSAGE WRITTEN ON A WALL IN THE TRAINING FACILITY

"Dear son,T-Virus will soon destroy everything Son,I was in ************
know how dreadful the virus is.Once the virus infects a certain percentage
of the island, it cannot be reversed or stopped.Remember that once it
enters int the body *********des virus controls it,and comes out to spread
the virus ******** number will explode.

I can't ask you to forgive me, As you have said your mother was killed
because of me.That is a truth that i can't deny ********* I can only regret
what i have done, I can't understand why things went in this way and what
really went wrong.

I can admit that I was not a good father to you,but I've loved
******************I can't hide what I've been doing.All I can do is to pray
that you live.

I think you know better than to come back here.However,if you are reading
this,it means that you are still here.You must leave as soon as possible!

Secret Report 4: AN EMAIL SEND FROM A SECRET AGENT TO THEIR BASE

REPORT: 1st Encounter
During our mission on Lock Fort Island we have encountered a carrier who
was infected by the T-Veronica virus.It seems that the Poisonous
Mushroom has hidden the T-Veronica on the island.Due the third level of
biohazard caused by our sabotage mission we have seized control of 90% of
the establishment and the organisation on the island.Any form of an organized
effort of resistance has already been suppressed.Note that the T-Veronica 
carrier bore a close resemblance to Alexia,daughter of Ashford family.

22 40: Same Day-2nd Encounter
Our second encounter erupted into a close range combat with a unit of our
agents and 2 units of Hunters.They ended up to be wiped out wthin three
minutes.

In my opinion the pontential of the T-Veronica carrier is beyond comprehension.
It has the ability to transform in order to accommodate a hostile element.
For defensive purposes it transforms its skin into armor to protect its body
against bullets. It is assumed that the T-Veronica carrier can evolve to
accommodate any environmental change.The blood of the T-Veronica carrier seems
to catch fire once it is aerated.When it attacks by spraying its blood it's
more powerful than a flamethrower.Survival rate against this type of weapon is
very low since the T-Veronica carrier pursues its victims with the intelligence
of a human.

SUMMARY: Survival rate against an enemy of this potential is extremely low."

Secret Report 5: MONOLOGUE OF CLAIRE

"I seem to have fallen asleep in spite of myself.The sound of the
turbo engine of the V-Tol has woken me up.I was dreaming.No I was
having a terrible nighmare. I'm drenched in sweat,and my heart is
thumping in my throat.

The dream is fading away rapidly,just like a dream always does.Then
only the memory of fear and deep sorrow remain.To my surprise,I seem
to have been crying.In the cockpit,Steve is controlling the plane,The
nightmare has gone far behind.What do I have to fear?Why should I be
sad?We're safe,for we got away from the cause of so much fear and
sorrow.The island...

I can see the warms unlight coming into the cockpit,as it erases
the darkness.There are dolphins jumping on the surface of the sea
below,however,the fragments of the nightmare never leave my mind.The
scenes I dreamed of are surfacing one by one.I was dreaming of the
island...I was fighting just like I did a while ago,just like I did
together with Steve.But the dream was about to unfold in a different
way in the worst way.My farewell to Steve...That is reality that
could've happened... if anything had gone wrong...But it didn't.We
won this future.We have escaped from the island of death.It's time
I forgot the nightmare.It's time I talked with Steve.The sky is
bright with sunlight.

It's becoming brighter and brighter.I wonder why doesn't turn
around?Now it'S too bright, as if I'm in a white blanket of fog.Was
it just a dream?I don't know...I'm in a white blanket.

I wonder why he doesn't turn around.Is what I believe to be reality
real?The steady sound of the engine of the V-Tol has become louder
and louder like the noise from a swinging ax,and I realize that I'm
waking up."

V.  - Walkthrough
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Before I start:

Make yourself familiar with the controls. This guide is suited for
players who are stuck or need guidance throughout the game. I wont
tell you how to use your PS2. In case you're not sure look up your
instruction booklet or check the OPTIONS MENU of the game for the
control settings.Ingame,you should try to just follow the path and
ignore Nemesis on your way.

In case you're playing the ARCADE version you can also enter the
game with two players simultaneously.

1. Prison - Escape
--------------------------------------------------------------------
As you start(FIRE) kill all the enemies with your basic weapon.Go to
the next room.But before you enter take the Sub Machine Guns/Assault
Rifle.In the next room first turn right and go ahead to get your
first message:"FIVE".Now turn back and go all the way back to the
door and in the direction of the brown boxes.A zombie will appear.
Kill him(Critical Hit?).Turn right and go into the next door.You can
also take the First Aid Box in the corner.Entering the room you'll
see the key you need.Kill all the enemies and take it.Don't go back
out and enter the next room,this room also holds a Grenade Launcher/
Magnum when you go up the stairs.In the next room go ahead and a
zombie will burst out of the crates.Kill him and move on.Two more
zombies will come.Kill them too and take the RED JEWEL.Now go back
out and and go the way back to the first door you entered.Next to it
there will be another door.Open the door with your key.

Boss Fight: BIG SPIDER

Level finished.You should be able to finish the level before Nemesis
starts chasing you.

2. Official Residence - Aberrance
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Shoot the zombies that aproach you and move into the next room.Shoot
all the crates that are lying there three dogs should appear.Shoot
also the crate in front of the computer to get the Blue Jewel.There
are two doors now.I would recommend the door in the corner.Go through
and then go ahead in that corridor until you reach the door.Turn to
right to see another door,go to that door and enter it.You'll be in
the library.Kill all the zombies and the bandersnathcer and get
another message from the typewriter:"JEWEL".Go back out and go ahead
into the next door you see at the corner.The next room should have
the key.Kill all the zombies in there(there are many)and go into the
next room.Turn left and enter the next room.Kill one of the two
bandersnatchers and take thy key.Now go back out turn left at the
corridor and enter the double doors on the right side.

Boss Fight: BIG HUNTER

Level finished.

3. Training Camp - Concern
--------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the only level where you have to find two keys first before
you can  face the boss.Anyway kill the two zombies in front of you
when you start.When you proceed there also should be a
bandersnatcher.Blast him out of your way.Enter the door.Kill the
dogs,the bandersnatcher and the hunter and enter the next room
through that double doors.Try to dodge the licker that will try to
kill you and then shoot him.Go ahead and turn right into the corridor
there are zombies lying.But be careful when you aproach them...they'll
get up and spit poison on you.Enter the door on the end of the
corridor.Now you see two spiders.Blast them away.You have two choices
now...but anyway you have to find the keys so enter the door and don't
go up the stairs.In that small room you'll see three zombies.Don't
panic shoot the one in front of you.He should explode.Enter the next
door.This room has zombies in it kill them and there are also some
crates that contain a First Aid Box.In the next room you'll see a jeep
and bandersnatcher in front of you.Kill the bandersnatcher and enter
the next room.The room also has a Grenade Launcher/Magnum for you.In
the next room there should be a hunter a sweeper and a bandersnatcher.
Kill the bandersnacher with the barrel to get the key.You must kill
it.Go back where the Spiders and the stairs are.On your way back some
zombies will attack.Go up the stairs and turn right.Enter the door.A
Drain Deimos will appear kill it either with a(lucky)critical hit or
simply from a distance.There two doors.Enter the one on the right.Kill
the zombies and the typewriter has a message for you:"25MIN".Go back
out and enter the other door.Kill the two zombies and take the key.Go
back two the room with the spiders(which appear every time you reenter
that room).Enter the door near the stairs.You'll be in the computer
room.There should be a crate in one of the corners.Shoot it to get the
GREEN JEWEL.Take the elevator down.There will be many weapons.I would
recommend the shotgun as it is useful for the bossfight.Be careful
when you go to the last door.There's a bandersnatcher.Enter the last
room.

Boss Fight: ALEXANDER

Apart from him there are also two bandersnatchers which you should take
care of.Level finished.

In the intro you'll see that Claire and Steve are chased by Nemesis
so hurry.When you start the level go straight forward and up the
ladder.The next corridor will be full of crates shoot them to get
a First Aid Box and a dog(!).Enter the next room.It's the bridge.Move
quick two hunters will jump in.Try to make a critical hit as you
don't have much time.The next room has a zombie and a bandersnatcher.
You can ignore the zombie and fight the bandersnatcher.Go the stairs
up.You'll be near the mansion entrance.Kill the hunters and
bandersnatchers and enter the next room...it's not easy.In the next
room go  the stairs up and kill all the bandersnatchers in your way.
Keep going up stairs until a door.The next room has a licker that
attacks you.Turn right go quick into the next room don't forget
Nemesis is chasing you.The next has about 4 zombies.Kill them and
move to the next room.Nemesis isn't chasing you anymore.But you meet
Alexia and get attacked by a big spider.

Boss Fight: BIG SPIDER

Kill it with your shotgun or whatever you have.After finishing the
spider enter the next room.Go forward NOT into the door.Go behind the
crates and kill the zombies there.You'll find the Pink Jewel.Go back
and enter the mentioned door.You'll be in a corridor.Go the
intersection.Be careful there are 4 Lickers.At the intersection turn
left and enter that door.Two bandersnatcher will be waiting inside.
Kill them and take the message at the typewriter:"NEMESIS".Go back out
and forward into the next door.Two Drain Deimos will be waiting.Kill
them and enter the door in front of you.You'll see the key.Quickly take
it and go out because two hunters will appear.Now go back to the room
where you fought the Giant Spider.

Boss Fight: ALEXIA

Some dogs are also around.Level finished.

This is the last level.There are not many things to do here.Turn
right and go ahead till the crate.Shoot it to get the GRAY JEWEL.
When you aproach the carousel you'll get your last message:"KILL".Om
that's all here move to the next room.No enemies here but many
weapons.Again take the shotgun and enter the next room.Your final
battle begins.

Boss Fight: TYRANT

Level finished.Unless you collected all the jewels that is.If you did
so the shutter in the back will go down and Nemesis will be up
against you.Anyway take the linear launcher that appears and shoot
him down.

Boss Fight: NEMESIS TYPE T

Level finished.Once and for all.Congratulations you have finished the
Arcade Mode.

VI. - Secrets
--------------------------------------------------------------------
INCREASE PARTNER LEVEL IN ARCADE MODE

Beat the game once to unlock this option in the options menu.You
can raise the level from 1 to 4.Beat the game twice to be able
to do the same till level 8.

UNLOCK SECRET REPORT FILES

Collect each jewel in each level of the Arcade Mode to unlock the
corresponding Secret Report.

UNLOCK VS. ROACH MODE

Beat the first Dungeon Mode mission to unlock this mode.

UNLOCK THE PANZERFAUST EX. IN VS. ROACH MODE

Beat all the Vs. Roach Mode missions to unlock this weapon with
unlimited ammo.

UNLOCK CHRIS REDFIELD IN DUNGEON MODE

Beat the 6th mission in each level to have him unlocked in
Dungeon Mode.

UNLOCK RODRIGO JUAN RAVAL IN DUNGEON MODE

Beat all missions in all levels to have him unlocked in
Dungeon Mode.


VII. - Q&A

Q:Whats the deal with Nemesis.Did he lost his way?
A:This game is from the Arcades and is more or less non-canonical.
  So don't really think about this too much.

Q:When will RE:S2 be released in the US?
A:Gun Survivor 2 wont get released in the US.Why?Nobody knows.
