1. Update List
[Update 1: January 31st, 2004. The FAQ, I just started writing it. Actually, I
just got AC3. lol, I'll have it up soon!]

3. Submission FAQ
All you have to do, is make an AC on your game. Fill out this form about it
(your form can look different, long as it fills these basic requirements and
looks neat), and send it to me at OmiX@comcast.net. I'll try it out on my game,
than if its not overweight or violates any of my rules...I'll add it!..And my
rules are.....no overweight, or otherwise unusable AC's. And no names that are
racist/..just f'ed up, ok? AND LIST IF IT'S FOR Armored Core 3, or Armored Core
3: Silent Line! Thats it, have fun!

Extra Notes: This AC is..put simply...badass. And yeah, I based it on
Doomtrain, the summon Guardian Force offa Final Fantasy 8 (for the
Playstation). Anyway, this AC LOOKS heavy at first glance, but..it is fast.
Really fast. And you can keep up in the air forever, just use some thrust, let
go for a second (it recharges very fast) than do it again. This makes it
perfect for energy weapons, but eh, I like shell weapons myself.

Anyway, if you're playing somebody on versus mode, this thing is quiet as hell.
Makes a great AC to sneak
up to somebody, than.... Heh, and I beat Ace with it, AND I beat the main
mission mode with it, just so
you know. Once you get OP-INTENSIFY though, it's even BETTER. Go to the mission
where you have to
fight the massive MT (in the desert). Destroy BOTH parts (Destory the tiny
flying one first). Once
you've done that, you'll get 2 new features on OP-INTENSIFY. One of which, lets
you move around with
weapons that normally make you stand still. Heh, have fun with this.

Extra Notes: I'm not gonna lie. This is a lightweight blade AC. But its decent,
to say the least. It's pretty
quick, decently powerful, and has nice AP for a blade AC (7260). You might be
wondering "Why didn't
you put ANY back-units on?". Well, answer is...ruins the AC. This is a
light-weight AC, and thats besides
the point, 600 more pounds, and it'd be overweight. Back-units would just weigh
this down too much.

Now, the Bazooka (or Spread Energy Shotgun) is fine and all, but this really
shines with the Moonbeam.
If you do thing right, you can be doing thousands of points of damage in one
strike, all while moving like a
blur around your enemy. Sounds good? It is. Heh, I know the name's weird,
but..well, I made 3 other AC
designs to this, so thats where the IV comes from. And well..Aqua=Water. This
is blue. And Aura=Wind.
This is fast.

Extra Notes: THIS is a HEAVY AC. So heavy, that it can barely move around. Not
overweight, just..heavy.
But, it more than makes up for that in its firepower. This thing could blow up
Fort Knox without even
trying. But there's one HUGE thing you're gonna need for this: OP-INTENSIFY.
And not just that, but
the feature that lets you walk around while using cannon-weapons (see
Doomtrain, 4.1). Otherwise, it's
just a slow turning piece of crap.

It can take some getting used to, but if used correctly, this AC can woop some
ass. And yeah, there was a
Geosorter 1. But...it wasn't that good.

Riiiiight...Anyway, yep, this here's the one and only, Optimus Prime. You
Transformer freaks are gonna love this AC. And fans of good AC's are gonna love
it too. Why? This is a
nice AC. Manueverable, powerful, good defense...IT'S OPTIMUS PRIME DAMN IT!
But, when I get my
Megatron AC up...Which side will win? Who will give a sh*t? Find out...Hardcore
Transformer fans, I
suggest making a Autobot symbol Emblem. And a Decepticon one for Megatron (and
any other ones I make,
or are submitted)

With hit and run tactics this guy can beat almost
anyone.  The overboost for his Core isn't as powerful
as others, but you can overboost for a lot longer,
taking you out of harms way.  Definately a longrange
AC, equipped with right and left arm sniper rifles and
a light long range plasma cannon on the back.  If you
do get into a close range firefight, you'll probly
lose, but the stealth missle launcher with the  missle
extension and the plasma cannon can even it out a bit.

This guys got it all.  Speed, power, armor, you name
it. Aether Flash Usually performs better at middle
range, the small grenade launcher on his back packs a
punch for the tougher guys or if anyone gets too close
and is his only long range weapon. The small version
of a slug gun on his back has a nice amount of ammo
and attack power...  If someone gets too close, switch
to it and you'll hit 'em with all of it's rounds and
do around 1000 damage and then heat damage.  The
machine guns on his left and right arms are for
stripping AP at close or middle range and if you take
a bead on them they can really strip take 'em down
quickly.

This guy has a storyline to go with it.  I hate it
when ACs whip out a laser rifle that you can't seem to
dodge and won't run out of ammo.  And when they start
ravaging you with ungodly amounts of missles in just a
few seconds, I mean, it takes me a long time to get
that many missles loaded up.  Then theres the ACs I
hate where they never run out of ammo, like you've
been fighting them forever, and they can still hit you
with missles and their laser rifle!  So, I took all
those attributes and smashed them into one Mech.
Simplicity only has two weapons... But more than 100
ammo for each.  You can shoot up to seven missles with
just one lock on!  That means if you've got an itchy
trigger finger they could last only a few minutes, but
if you like to take your time they can last forever.
Then the laser rifle has 120 ammo, coupled with a nice
amount of range and damage, can be your best friend

believe it or not. Just go to  Sample Colors, choose the Ice Blue color. Than

Extra Notes: This is more of a show-AC than it is anything else. Least, thats
what I thought when I was choosing the parts. Yeah, this looks JUST like
Shockwave! But, they're low end parts. Lo and behold though, it made a somewhat
decent AC. Great armor
and attack. But, novices might not be too happy with it. Anyway, if you wanna
switch the Howlizter with
the Moonbeam, be my guest. And naturally, change anything else about it you
want. WELL, another AC
from Omi, and what do you know, it doesn't suck ass.

Bloodbath is, put simply, another hit. This thing is VERY fast. I mean, it can
thrust to the side with extreme speed, and even without thrust, it's decently
fast. It's very centered, so the machine gun works nicely (even newbs will be
hitting stuff like crazy, and snipers are gonna have a field-day). Now, as for
the Flame Thrower..you can have it and the machine gun goin at the same time to
rack up damage/heat. But hey, the Moonlight works nice too, so either way.

Now, I know you might be wondering why I didn't put any Back Units, Inside, or
Extension parts in. The
answer's simple: It doesn't need them. Your machine gun and L Unit will kick
enough ass, and to top that,
it's thrust heals up fast, so the two core-lazers you can get to come out by
pressing R3 are gonna have a
ton of time to blast away. Putting any of those other things in would only slow
it down. But hey, if you
wanna add them, be my guest, your choice.

Ok, gundam wing right?  Heavy Arms.  Lots of, shoot you dead firepower for
quick attacks,  moderate
armor and missiels.  Use the obstacales, lock on missles run out and fire them
change to the sholder chain
gun and shoot them as you go to the next spot to launch another offensive, you
have right hand bazooka as
well as the exceede orbits on the core, for that extra pounding. Well rounded
hit and run unit, but can't
take too much punishment and has a quick boost charge drain. we don't like
being close to them, run away
and shoot them with the chaingun or bazooka.  If you do it right, the fight is
over in a few seconds and you
can run circles around them. The mlb-moonlight is a last resort if they get too
close.

Notes: Fury is fast and powerful, but with kinda low AP. The strategy I use
with him is to use the second mode of the laser arms (rapid fire) and use up
all the energy, then use the extension and repeat 3 times. After the third
time when there is no extension left, Pull out the chain gun and pump a ton
of bullets into the enemy. If the other AC is somehow still able to move,
blast him with a few grenades and they should be dead quick. This AC doesn't
work too well against flyers,
unless you play in the parking lot or you have really good aim. Fury is on a
team with Dragonus and Storm.

Notes: Storm is as fast as lightning (430 kmph with boosting, and almost 900
with OB) and he is an
excellent flyer. You can either use the high ammo machine gun, or a sniper
rifle (or anything else under
650 weight) depending on your style. I recommend the machine gun tho. He is the
fastest AC I have ever
made and he can easily avoid almost any attacks so he doesn't need much
defence. With the machine gun
you can simply strafe around the enemy at high speeds, and with some good
piloting skills the enemy will
never see you again. This AC requires a good pilot, because it can be tricky to
manuvuer at such high speeds.
This is also a blader AC and if want, you can chance teh machine gun to the
MARS lethal parrying blade
(found in "destroy massive weapon" mission right under where you start) He is
fast enough to get close to
the enemy, strike, and make a quick escape. A good pilot can take down almost
anyone in the arena except
for maybe Ace or Exile. This AC is on a team with Dragonus.

Notes: Dragonus is a fast, powerful killing machine, and he looks cool too.
He has basically the same weapons as Ace, which are very well rounded. He is
very fast and can fly forever in the hands of a good pilot. I chose the EO
core because this AC is so fast already that he doesn't need the overboost.
If you boost right you can go around 400km/ph limitlessly. His weapons are
all fast and powerful with lots of ammo too. He is very easy to pilot so
almost anyone can use him, but nearly all of the parts are hidden throughout
the game, so it will be hard to make him. OP-INTENSIFY is needed though to
use the radar and back weapons, so you'll need to beat the main game first.
He can take out any opponent in the arena, and with some skill even Exile
doesn't stand a chance.

Its a well balanced AC with average armor points(8034 to be exact... like
Ace), can be very effective in both missions or arena. In the hands of a
capable pilot it can be one of the deadliest ACs u can ever create. I have
beaten all of the arena opponents with this AC with the greatest of ease.
This AC is good for weapon combination attack... I like to use the
CWC-GNS-15 (back unit missile launcher that fires 2 missiles each time) with
the CWEM-R20 extension
on at the start of an arena battle. The combinations  lets you fire a rain of
missiles and taking heaps of
damage when all missiles hit the opponent, even if not all the missiles hit it
still deals a fair amount of
damage. If you're the opponent u would think u were up against Royal Mist only
a faster more agile AC
like Ace that can fire the MWM-DM24/1 grenade launcher, getting closer you'll
see he's got the machine
gun firing and raining down bullets at you like Exile only he's got
theCWG-MG-500 which is more power
version of the one that Exile has but only half the ammo storage... but dont
worry about that cos he
doesn't even have to use a quarter of the ammo if your armor points is hanging
by a thread now do u...
Get any closer and you'll be getting a taste of the moonlight blade that can
shread an AC apart in a
matter of seconds if not careful.

Extra Notes: This AC has 9999 AP, is not overweight and can cause serious
damage. Useful against single ACs and multiple Acs, I beat Exile in less than

Notes:  This is one hella good AC.  Its grade may be below average, but it
works still.   The linear cannon packs a good punch while slowing down your
opponent, or you could use one of the 2 machine guns to chew your foe to
bits.  Whats great is that even while his shield is out, he doesn't drain
energy!  If you get low, just use the MALUM to get back up to good levels,
 then get back to winning.  If something runs out of ammo (probably the
sniper rifle first) then just drop it.

Colours: The Karasawa is uns3xy enough as it is, I aint no artist so what
makes you think i can make it any better ;)

Non-OP-I Midweight frame (I think) with a good airtime. Drop moonlight at
the start as it's very hard to get close in with this frame, it's there for
backup if the Karasawa runs out. The malums are there for a reason, to
keep up a quick karasawa offence, try to stay groundbound for the first
half of the fight (being half of the sawa's clip) keep a lock on the opponent
as much as possible and dont let go of the trigger, use the malums when low
on energy.
If you dont have them pinned with the first 25 shot;'s or have dealed a
considerable amount of damage, your screwed but if you have, drop malums
 and finish the clip but use a bunny hop method to evade shots, you wront
be able to fire as often but without the malums its the best thing to do.
When karasawa is out and you still havent won (usually against a light or
go-map) pick up the blade and resume using the OB.
I also have the ob core there for the anti missiles since without it it'd be
sooo much more vulnerable to missiles.
Disadvantages:
Mid-Slow speed with the Sawa, lights can get to the side and/or behind you
fairly eaily, for this I suggest using the OB and taking 2-3 shots at a time
with the sawa, lights wront pack anything that'll do serious damage fast
except for the mg-500 and shot guns.
GO-MAP's - Some tanks with a shield CAN survive the full clip of the sawa,
and you most likely will only hit them with 35 or so of the shot's. For this I
suggest taking the same appoach as the lights, use the ob and take it 3 or so
shots at a time, only this time they'll pack more powerful weapons but wront
be able to fire them at you as frequently, MAKE SURE YOU HIT THEM
FROM THE RIGHT OR BEHIND.

The whole point of this AC is to keep off the ground until you run out of
missiles. Switch the extension on, switch to your missiles, fly up, find your
target, and pound him to dust. I find that most enemies die before you touch
the ground! The heat and the
sheer power of the missiles destroy them. The handgun and the Moonlight are
there to finish the job if the
missiles didn't.

Comments:   I'm gonna go ahead and mention here and
now that I haven't yet completed AC3's missions, so I
don't have access to all the parts (much less the
OP/Intensify), but if you can improve upon my design,
say, by finding a more powerful booster, or a
higher-power right arm weapon, or even replacing the
howitzer with a spread howitzer, then by all means..

I'm used to using Humanoid-leg middleweights with
powerful boosters and solid shell weapons for
acrobatic arena battles, but after a good deal of
dueling with superheavyweight humanoids I decided to
build my own.

You can tell just from glancing at the equipment list
that this AC is decked out to take full advantage of
optional parts that enhance energy weaponry.

The Energy Shotgun and howitzer, when combined with
the energy-enhancing optional parts, make excellent
compliments to eachother and chew the enemy up fast at
short range, while still being fun and challenging to
use (you try maintaining close quarters combat in a
superheavyweight without losing a bead on 'em :P).

However, the fact that the howitzer and Energy Shotgun
are both extremely short range weapons leaves the AC
rather at a loss for long-range combat.

That's where the Orbit Cannon comes in.  Fully
enhanced with optional parts, it packs quite a hefty
bite and against the majority of AI opponents, usually
hits with 40% of its shots (obviously it does better
against more stationary targets, like tank-leg ACs
with Exceed Orbit Cores).  That alone is usually
enough to whittle off about 3000 AP, give or take 1500
according to the energy defense (or lack thereof) of
the target.

The Plasma Cannon on the left shoulder is something of
an opportunistic weapon, especially on an AC so slow -
I'm usually quite reluctant to put any sort of linear
weapon (Plasma Cannons, Grenade Launchers, etc) on my
ACs due to the fact that they require humanoid ACs to
sit in one place and rack up damage while waiting for
a decent shot.

However, it excels in situations where the enemy has
little room to move (when cornered), cannot move
quickly enough to avoid it (when charging generator or
if piloting a tank AC), and in several other
situations, so it's handy to have around, even if only
one or two shots are popped off with it - and with
1100+ AP damage per shot, it does add up.

Notice that this particular AC, due to its enormous,
bulky armored body, cannot turn very quickly -
especially with the Plasma Cannon deployed.  This
shortcoming is partially made up for by the rotating
booster extensions (KEBT-TB-UNS), which do require a
little practice before one can use them to their full
advantage.  The thing to remember is that said
extensions will rotate this AC /EXACTLY/ 90 degrees in
the chosen direction.  The flat, wide FCS used in this
AC helps facilitate maintaining a lock on even as the
enemy is attempting to outmanuever you.

Also, despite having horrible vertical boost ability
and a very slow-moving overboost, this AC can still
circle-strafe and boost-hop well enough to avoid quite
a bit of enemy fire.

Strengths:
-vs Ground-based ACs
-vs armored targets (packs quite the punch)
-weapons have a forgiving amount of ammo, permitting
'spray n' pray' combat style
-outlasts most other ACs in terms of endurance
-takes minimal damage from overheating
-shrugs off laserblade damage

Weaknesses:
-vs flying ACs
-vs sniper or otherwise long-range ACs
-vs missles (although the missle decoy Inside part
does help)
-extremely slow and lumbering
-takes quite a bit of practice to master
-if you accidentally end up in the Charging status,
you lose use of all your weapons save the howitzer on
your left arm.

Definitely room for improvement, but it's a solid (no
pun intended) design that can take an immense amount
of punishment and loves eating lightweight blade ACs
for snacks.

INFO:(If you need it unless you make your own opinion) This is a So-So AC. I
used almost every pound
availible except one. Its very strong. The machine Gun alone can take out 2
Mechs with OP Lock on
systems. The Cannon on its left shoulder can just about Kill anything. 3 or 4
Well placed shots from this
thing can take out a 9999 ap AC. He is very manuverable due to good legs and
Fleet boosters the AP Is
very good Considering the light-ness and heavy weapons(8720). The Core I Choose
because when you hit a
target 3 times with the cannon why waste another precious shot when you can use
your Core to do it.This
guy can also take a beating from anything. I completed the Massive MT and
destroyed both parts with the
cannon alone. Also Defeated last level with eazy with around 5k of AP.I've only
lost once in a versus game
with my friend against his beastly Shadow Mech Fast And Strong the Match lasted
a good 30 minutes and
so far me and him have be basically tied up. You need to get used to the AC
Before you can use it to its
awsome power. You must also have the OP-ITENSIFY ITS A MUST you need ALL
Upgrades for it ALL
for this mech to be used right.

This is a tank based AC, usually when I first come in to a battle, I use my
orbital cannon, then switch on my EO core ability and begin to fire away
with my machine gun. This causes major damage if done right.
I have the turning boosters equipped because one of the main problems with
a tank based AC is keeping the enemy in your sight. The turning boosters
come in handy for this job. I only use the granade launcher if I'm in deep
trouble.

5. AC Making FAQ
Ok, just a few tips and pointers for people who want to make AC's.

1) OP-INTENSIFY is the best optional part in the game. You get it once you beat
the main story mode. It takes up all your option slots (no matter what core you
use), but trust me...Check GameFAQs for how to unlock it's hidden features.

2) I know that you CAN use overweight AC's possiblly. And some of you might be
thinking "Its slow, but if I load it up with kickass weapons, I can just kill
everyone from this spot." Well my friend..no. Overweight AC's suck. Really
really bad. Trust me, if you're going against the upper Arena members, or Exile
or something, a overweight AC will just not cut it. And it'll be horrible on
missions

3) MLB-MOONLIGHT, a type of blade, is THE BEST blade in the game. No, I'm
serious, best.

4) As nice as back-unit radars can be, they're really useless. Just buy a head
that has the radar function
built in. Or when you get OP-INTENSIFY, unlock the radar feature.

5) After you make an AC, before you send it to me..PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...test
it out. See what its
like. Is it fast, is it well armored, can it kick some ass or is it blown up in
5 seconds? Stuff like that.
I suggest trying it out in the Arena.

6) Its a good idea to beat the main story-mode and a lot of the Arena matches
first before you really
start making AC's, since otherwise, you won't have all of the good parts. Just
focus on one AC until than.

7) Remember, just because the game gives an AC a Grade like "Excellent, Fair,
Poor", ect, doesn't mean
it's good or bad. All the grade really determines, is the shere firepower and
armor rating. Thats it. So a
"Poor" grade AC can be one of the best AC's ever, while an "Excellent" AC can
be a hulky piece of crap.
