Originally in the Arcade version, Kenji Kanno designed the course, to prevent players from 'being lost' as he thought it would detract players from playing the game. In the console version port however, when designing a new course for the home market, Kanno designed areas where the player can feel 'being lost', because players often spent more time at home, exploring areas at their own leisure and have a fun time 'learning the town' regardless of time restraints.
