Introduction/Updates _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ This is my very first complete FAQ/Walkthrough, not counting the Character FAQs I did for the two GameCube WWE titles. I always did like Syphon Filter, ever 1999 I've been a loyal fan of the series. I liked the action above all else, personally I could do without the stealth missions as I found them very agrivating and I'm glad they've been reduced for SF3. I like locking onto targets in the heat of battle and absorbing the storyline as opposed to having that ****ing arctic base alarm haunt my nightmares. Oct. 13-22, 2003 Ver. 0.5 ---------------- I've been creating the basic layout for this FAQ for this time period. This includes half of the walkthrough, the layout of the FAQ and most of the sections. According to FAQ, I needed to get half of this game finished to be able to submit this FAQ so that's what I've been doing. I hope to get daily or bi-daily updates up-and-running the minute this version gets posted. Oct. 27, 2003 Ver. 0.51 ------------- Just found out that this FAQ is going to be posted, I am so excited right now because I've tried so hard to make a FAQ I would be proud of and here it is. Anyway, I've finished summing up the plot for Syphon Filter 1 in the Story section. I won't submit this version because I want to get at least one or two more missions down first, (the Story took quite some time). I'm also getting rid of the Character section from Version 0.5 due to the fact I cannot find any good sources to use as reference. Oct. 28, 2003 Ver. 0.58 ------------- Finished Mission 11 (The Convoy), will submit tomorrow and planning on updating the Story Mode by adding the storyline for SF2 after all the missions are done. Dec. 21, 2003 --- Christmas is coming up and my schedule is getting busier, plus I decided that it's best not to bother CJayC with random updates during this season. May 20, 2004 Ver. 0.95 --- I'm going to be honest here: there's a reason I haven't updated in five months. I am a university student who was hit with a crapload of work to do, (not to mention I managed to get a new part-time job to get some extra cash). I had zero time for reviews/FAQs and only now am I free enough to begin again. There's also personal reasons which I am not comfortable about talking about on the internet. So, please respect me and try not to hold this against me. Mission 18 has been completed as well as part of the SF2 plotline. May 21, 2004 Ver 1.00 --- Finally, the whole walkthrough is done...expect sporadic updates to the plot outline, (I wish to go furthur into that). _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- II. Story *SPOILERS* _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- *WARNING SPOILERS* THIS PART WILL SPOIL BOTH SYPHON FILTER 1 AND 2, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK Syphon Filter 1 --------------- Gabe & Lian started off in the Costa Rican rainforest to find Rhoemer and to end his plantation operation. They were also to meet up with their informant Agent Ellis, but found him dead and Rhoemer gone, so the two went back to the agency to file their reports. When he arrives the Agency alerts him to a planned attack on Washington DC with the Syphon Filter virus, they believe that this is the work of Rhoemer. Gabe heads to Washington DC and manages to deactivate one of the bombs in the subway, but the second one was a regular bomb and the station was destroyed, Gabe worked his way out of the the wreckage and chased Aramov down the subway tracks, he managed to eliminate her. He then went to a park in DC and deactivated more bombs, he then faced Girdeaux and managed to take him out. After eliminating the threat to DC, the Agency discovered a possible link to Rhoemer to the Pharcom corporation via tests that showed Pharcom products in the plant samples taken from Costa Rica. Gabe was sent to the Pharcom Expo Center in New York City, where a reception was being held, to find the head of Pharcom, Jonathan Phagan. He plants a wire on him during the reception but notices that Phagan slips out, Gabe follows him with stealth so as not to get detected by the guards. Phagan meets up with Benton, Aramov & Rhoemer and they discuss Syphon Filter labs in a secret meeting in the museum while Gabe watches and informs the agency of the leak. Benton discovers the wire on Phagan while Rhoemer and Aramov make a run for it. Gabe kills Benton in a shoot-out and follows Aramov, Phagan & Rhoemer. He finds Aramov has captured Phagan and is holding him at gunpoint in the dinosaur exhibit, Gabe shoots and wounds Aramov and saves Phagan. He then radios the Agency to come and pick Aramov up for interrogation. Back at the Agency, Gabe finds out that Markinson knew about Benton's treason all along. Gabe is furious, knowing that because of the leak he and his team could have been killed on all their missions, Markinson simply tells Gabe that the Agency has secret missions he doesn't know about. Lian says that it will take some time to crack the information on Phagan's computers but she believes there must be a lab where he was manufacturing the virus. Markinson tells Gabe to go to Rhoemer's base in northern Kazakhstan where he is operating out of and destroy any arms of missiles he is carrying. He also tells him to eliminate Vladoslav Gabrek, the Base Commander and kill Rhoemer as well. After inflitrating the base, setting off explosions to take out radar and weapons he enters the missile bunker and destroys all the missiles, he also kills Gabrek. Upon entering the roof of the base, Gabe heard Rhoemer kill Lian through his earpiece then is attacked by Rhoemer in an attack helicopter, after shooting it down Gabe manages to escape from the base. After returning, Gabe finds out the true nature of the Syphon Filter virus. It can be "programmed" to kill specific people while not affecting others. They also tell Gabe that Aramov escaped and was tracked which lead them to Rhoemer's stronghold in Ukraine. Gabe is told to enter it, kill all of his scientists, inject the Syphon Filter patients with an antidote find Phagan, (who was captured by Rhoemer). Gabe does all that and finds Phagan, who tells Gabe that Lian is still alive and being held in the stronghold so he leads him to her. Lian turns out to be infected with Syphon Filter during her stay and refuses the antidote on suspicion. The three then head to the surface for their escape but Phagan is shot and killed by Aramov, Aramov then tells Gabe & Lian that she will take them to Rhoemer and help stop his plans. Aramov choppered Gabe & Lian to a Pharcom warehouse where Rhoemer was preparing the Syphon Filter virus and a nuclear missile. There he tagged the viral bombs and found out more information about the missile, Gabe also finds out the antidote he gave the patients at Rhoemer's stronghold was actually a form of poison. As Gabe was getting access codes for the missile, Markinson showed up and explain to Gabe that Rhoemer was working for the Agency all along so he would be able to get a sample of the virus for the Agency. But things went wrong and Rhoemer planned a nuclear attack instead. Rhoemer showed up and killed Markison then activated the missile for launch. Gabe managed to escape and activate the self-destruct sequence on the missile. Gabe then fought Rhoemer and it ended up with the latter being killed. As Gabe and Lian brough the CBDC team to de-activate the marked viral bombs, the two pondered over the conspiracy that plagued the Agency. After the credits, a mysterious scene is shown where Aramov talks with a mystery person over what a good job she did. Syphon Filter 2 --------------- The events of SF2 take place immediately after the conclusion of SF1. Events are occuring all over the planet that are creating tensions between the US and China. Civil unrest in China by rebel groups erupts while a nuclear missile self-destructs over Kazahkstan resulting in a downturn in world peace. The US downplays the missile stating that the Kazahkstan was doing a test and aborted it which resulted in the mock explosion. While these events occur, Gabe, Lian & Teresa are packing up in Kazahkstan following their elimination of Rhoemer. Unknown to them, the US government brands them as traitors and behind the Syphon Filter attacks from the previous game. Agency personel land in Kazahkstan and capture Lian, who is revealed to be infected with the virus. Gabe and his team managed to get onto a plane and depart, heading back to America. While over the Rockies, they are attacked by fighter jets. Gabe and his team parachute out and are forced to regroup while under attack. After navigating mountain passages and roads, Gabe loses many men from snipers and other Agency soldiers. Jason Chance, his second-in-command is captured in the pursuit. Meanwhile, Lian was taken to a military medical facility in Colorado. She manages to escape, find out that Weissenger extract infected blood from the terminally ill Phagan while Morgan commits suicide. Hints/Tips _-_-_-_-_-_-_- Note: This section will most likely be updated when I have new tips to share -Fire kills you, avoid it at all costs -Explosions will also kill you, obviously, so always keep your distance -Always keep a Flak Jacket on you, it is VERY dangerous to go with bare health -Master head shots, this is vital, when you go into Sniper Mode and aim for a head you'll see white text that reads "Head Shot", learn this well -Peek around corners by using R1 to activate the Sniper View and the L2 and R2 buttons to peek, this will save you health and patience when facing tough opponents -If at any point you get lost, read the map, it shows you exactly where to go to complete some of your objectives. -The taser is your best friend, yes it's a little sadistic, but it is an effortless way to take out enemies when low on ammo -Strafe or roll to avoid Sniper Fire -Do NOT get too close to an enemy because for some reason you cannot hit him when he is close but he can effortlessly hit you _-_-_-_-_- V. Walkthrough _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* 1. Hotel Fukashima =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* -------- Briefing -------- Gabe and Lian have come to Tokyo on the trail of Shi-Hao. The leader of a Chinese Army rebellion. It is believed that he is trying to procure the Syphon Filter virus to aid his insurgent movement, and is enlisting the help of the JRA, a Japanese terrorist group. A meeting between Shi Hao and the J.R.A is planned for tonight in the Shinjuku district. Across the street, Gabe must use room 413 of the hotel Fukushima as a snipers nest, his target, Shi Hao and his highest ranking luitennants, if they die, the rebelian dies, and Syphon Filter is prevented from falling into the wrong hands. ---------- Objectives ---------- 1. Go to Room 413 and Retrieve your Gear --- When you start off you are in the hotel's lobby, go forward and a short cut-scene will take place where the bellhop takes you to your floor via an elevator. Once that finishes, head straight and turn left and follow the corridor to the end, the room you want is 413, (a white text will display on the scene when you get close to the door. Enter in and head into the bathroom in your room, press action when the white text says "Equipment". 2. Eliminate Shi-Hao and his Lieutenants --- A cut-scene takes over with Lian telling you to snipe the gunman on the roof first, do that. A trick to avoid getting shot is to first position yourself behind the wall beside the window. Turn on your sniper mode and use L2 to peek out, when you Danger meter gets too full let go of L2 to slide back behind the wall. Do this correctly and you won't get his once. Zoom into the middle floor and you'll see a man hitting a kneeling person repeatedly, this is you target so shoot him. Immediately afterwards guards will appear in windows and open fire on you, use my previously mentioned technique to avoid getting shot. The main targets you want are the lieutenants who are wearing green army uniforms, shoot them. Also make sure to shoot the guards with tan coats, because this will make more lieutanents appear in the windows. You need to shoot 4 lieutanents to finish this objective. 3. Rendezvous with Lian outside of Hotel 4. Rescue VIP Hostages --- Great, apparently there were guards waiting for you in the hotel. Exit your room and make a right turn, shoot any guards that appear. Head straight through the open door, you are now in the stairwell. Work your way down this stairwell, beware of the guards around each corner, (use a Shotgun, they are very powerful and can take down a guard with a single shot). When you get to the bottom, turn left and shoot the guard that's behind the shelves and continue forwards taking out more guards. Eventually you'll come to a junction where you can go either left or right, there is a Flak Jacket to the right in a storeroom, if you want to get it then do so but beware the three guards that will attack you when you leave the room, the left path is the way to complete the mission. You'll come across a poor bellhop and two guards around him, shoot both guards and make sure not to hit the bellhop. Continue up the stairs and keep going, a short cut-scene will take over where Gabe learns that the Japanese ambassador's daughter has been taken captive by some guards. Continue on and at the stairs is a guard with a Flak Jacket, kill him quickly with a head shot. Shoot the two guards that are guarding the daughter, do not hit her. Continue on into the kitchen, take out the four guards in here quickly. When you go to leave, get into sniper mode and peek out the side to hit the guard waiting just around the corner. Leave the kitchen and head straight, ignore the left turn for the moment. At the end of the corridor Gabe will tell the girl to hide here until the police arrive. Now go back to that left turn and you'll be back in the hotel lobby, kill the three guards here and hit the Gate Switch which is marked with white text again, head out the front doors to complete the level. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= 2. Costa Rican Plantation =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= -------- Briefing -------- Rhoemer's Hidden Plantation Logan's Testimony from the Congressional Record "In August of 1999 Lian and I were given a difficult mission: Infiltrate Rhoemer's operation, rendezvous with Agent Ellis, our undercover contact, and help him complete the mission. The order came from my Agency C.O. Edward Benton. At that time I did not question orders." "Lian and I made the drop successfully but got seperated. The plantation was spread out and heavily guarded. I knew we where in trouble when we hit the first traps, automated machine gun nests, it was pretty obvious that Rhomer didn't want visitors. ---------- Objectives ---------- 1. Rendezvous with Ellis --- When you start the mission, Lian will contact you and tell you that she landed off-target and that you need to meet up with her. Walk forwards down the hill, take out the two soldiers that you will run into, you'll come up to Lian shortly after taking out the first soldier. Follow her and a cut-scene will take over, showing Lian taking out a turret with a grenade. More soldiers will rush you after this cut-scene finishes, take them out and follow Lian. Take out the soldier hiding up in the tree and continue on, you'll come to another turret, Lian will tell you to grenade it, throw a grenade at the turret. Another cut-scene will follow, ahead of you is another turret, run towards it, quickly throw a grenade and roll away to destroy it. Follow Lian and another cut-scene will follow showing what happened to Ellis, continue to follow Lian and another cut-scene will follow. 2. Disable Enemy Chopper --- After you find Ellis, head forwards and take out the turret with a grenade. Continue on, taking out guards as you come across them, you'll be in a little village-like area now. In front of you is a building with an opening, head into it and work your way to the other end, taking out more soldiers as you comes across them. There is HK-5 ammo in an alcove in this room and a Flak Jacket on a crate near the other side of the room, grab both if you want. After you leave this room you'll see the chopper, take out the soldiers surrounding it and approach the nose of the chopper, white text will come up to tell you it's the spot you want, press Action to sabotage the chopper. 3. Transmit Coordinates of Plantation to HQ for Airstrike --- Head back into that building you just came out of and head through the doorway to the left, you'll see a small room with a computer in it, press Action to activate the computer. 4. Find Plant Sample Transport Kits --- Head out of the building and turn left, then turn right when you get to the edge of the building, you'll see an opening to go through. Head into here and into the next room, on the right side of the room you'll see the Plant Sample Transport Kits in a green box, head down this room and in an alcove to the left is a Mine Detector, you'll need this. 5. Gather 3 Plant Samples 6. Free the 2 Slaves --- Continue through this room and out the other end, on top of the second temple you'll come across is an M-79 Grenade Launcher, take it. Head back into the building and back into the village. Turn left to continue on through the village, you'll see a plantation that isn't in flames, take a sample here. Continue on and you'll see a cutscene where a soldier is beating a Slave, head forwards a bit and snipe him. Then run up to the Slave to free her, turn right and walk towards to other Slave to free her too. Continue on and when you get to a junction where you can either go straight or right, go right and follow this path. You'll see another plantation with another unburnt crop, take a sample here. Lian will then contact you to warn you that the path to Rhoemer's plane is mined, note this for a little later. Head down the path you were working down and you'll see another burning plantation, navigate through the flames to reach the unburnt one on the other side to get the last sample 7. Use Alternate Exit Tunnel --- Head to the Southwest corner of your map, the objective location is also marked on it. Now, be VERY careful here because the entrance to this cave is indeed mined. What the Mine Detector will do is it will beep when you are close to a mine and then mark it on your Radar, DO NOT GET CLOSE TO THE DOTS ON THE RADAR AS THEY ARE MINES. The only tips I can give are, gently tap the D-Pad to inch Logan ahead, this will give the Detector time to mark mines, carefully do this and don't get too close to them and you will make it. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= 3. C-5 Galaxy Transport =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= -------- Briefing -------- Costa Rica Rhoemer's C-5 Galaxy Transport Logan's Testimony from the Congressional Record "Lian discovered from Elsa Weissenger, one of Rhoemer's Lab Technicians, that Rhoemer was readying a cargo plane for escape. He had ordered all of the plantation workers to be killed and had loaded the plane with crates filled with the extract from the plants he was growing." "I boarded the plane determined to stop him. What I didn't know at the time was that Rhomer was already working for the agency, that my own C.D had betrayed me to get his hands on Syphon Filter. One of the things the agency supplied Rhomer with was the same advanced armour that I would later find on Jason Chance" ---------- Objectives ---------- 1. Do Not Harm Pilot -------- Weaponry -------- Note: All the guns you got from the plantation you will have here, so I listed all the ones you can get on that mission Silenced 9mm .45 Silenced HK-5 M-16 Shotgun UAS-12 Silenced Sniper Rifle Air Taser M-79 Knife Grenade Mine Detector ----------- Walkthrough ----------- 1. Stop Rhoemer --- This mission is quite short, start off by heading forwards shooting the two soldiers in this area. Head through the corridor into the next section of the plane, shooting more soldiers. A cut-scene follows where Rhoemer runs down some steps and past Logan, (how Logan misses shooting him is beyond me). After that, shoot the soldier that too runs down these steps and head up the steps. At the top the co-pilot will open fire on you, shoot him but do not hit the pilot. A cut-scene will follow where the pilot will agree to fly the plane so after that go to the control panel on the left side of the cockpit and flip the switch to open the cargo doors. Walk down the steps and under them you'll see three green boxes, two contain UAS-12 ammo and the other a Flak Jacket so take the UAS-12 and the Flak Jacket is you need it. Head back to the first section of the plane to meet Rhoemer. Crouch down and walk towards the back of the jeep at the end. Go into sniper mode and press R2 to peek out, equip the UAS-12 and when Rhoemer is in your sights, shoot him. What you must do is use your shots to "push" him out the open cargo door, do this and the mission is done. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= 4. Pugari Gold Mine =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= -------- Briefing -------- Mpumalanga, South Africa Pigari Gold Mine Mujari's Testimony from the Congressional Record "In 1984 I was a soldier for the African National Council fighting to liberate my African brothers from apartheid. On August 27th of that year, Venik Smith, Shawon Dejesus and I infiltrated the Pugari South African Mining Crop. to sabotage the facilities and free the indentured workers." "We discovered that many of the workers had been exposed to some unknown biological agent that was unearthed deep within the mines. A foreman named Samuel Jones, sealed the sick men in one of the mines to keep them from infecting the other workers. Recover Explosive Charges from the Drop Crate --- The minute you set down from the parasail, head forwards to where the ramp says "jump", you don't need to press anything as Mujari will automatically leap forwards. Shoot the soldiers surrounding you quickly, then pick up the explosives to the right, (they are in the green box). 2. Free the Slave Workers --- Go to where you landed after the leap and climb down by backing up off the cliff. Then press X to let go, snipe the soldier on the bottom level and the ones on level ground. Then walk to the left, taking out more soldiers on the levels above you. Ahead of you should be a cave, (check your map to find it if you want to, it's the only way out on the level ground). There is a Flak Jacket to the left of the cave if you need it, head into the cave afterwards. Climb over the boxes and shoot the soldier you run into, head forwards through the rocks, look ahead and you'll see two guards around a shack, snipe them from the distance. Then head down the cave on the left side of the shack. You'll see two slaves working a machine, immediately afterwards two soldier will show up, kill them then approach the slaves. 3. Escort Mine 411 Slaves to Safe Area Before Setting Charges --- Head towards the mine cart, kill the soldier to the left and head to the right. Continue forwards into a corridor and you'll see two soldiers guarding a bridge, snipe them with your Sniper Rifle. Then head towards the bridge, Mujari will tell the slaves to wait. Equip your Gas Grenades and head onto the bridge. Soldiers will appear in the caves on both sides of the bridge, chuck a gas grenade on each side to kill them. After both sides are clear another soldier will appear on the right side cave, shoot him. Then continue forwards and a cut-scene will take over. 4. Rescue Team Member Dejesus --- From the way you entered, head to the left through the passageway. Continue on and you'll see a guard at the end of the passageway, shoot him and move on. You'll see Dejesus on a walkway being approached by a soldier, shoot him and all the soldiers in the area. A cut-scene will take over when you are done. 5. Set Explosive Charges to Destroy Mine 411 --- Head back to where you first found the two slaves watch out for new soldiers on your path, rig the explosives to where the white text says to do. Ride a Mine Cart Out Before Mine 411 Comes Crashing Down --- The mine is collapsing, head straight for the mine cart and hit the switch on the front. Mujari will automatically be on the top of the cart racing down the track. Quickly shoot the guard that runs in front of your cart and shortly before the cart reaches the end, roll off to the side and immediately roll down the cliff. What happens is there is a guard at the bottom with a M-79 that will fire grenades at the cart shortly after it crashes, so quickly roll down the cliff and take him out. 2. Interrogate Foreman Jones About the Deceased Slaves --- After that, head right and up the dirt ramp. There is a building on your left so walk past it and enter the opening on the right side of the building, walk towards the foreman to activate a cut-scene. 3. Activate Transmitter Power --- When you leave out the opening to the building, head straight and up the dirt ramp. On the ledge on the right side of the ramp is a box with an M-79, take it. Head back to where the ramp lead and shoot the guards in this area, head to the right and shoot more guards. Head towards the Bay 3 door and down the stairs on the left. You'll be in what appears to be a generator room, shoot the two guards below the floor grating and find the transmitter switch in this room. 4. Free the Slave Workers --- Head up the stairs on the other side and when you get to the surface, turn right and you'll see a short cut-scene. Afterwards, use the M-79 against the two guards that run down the stairs and then run up those stairs. At the top use the computer on the right side to transmit, afterwards guards will appear on the rooftops across from you. Duck behind a desk and Dejesus will take them out. Run back down and meet up with him, after a short cut-scene the two will approach the elevator. Eliminate 7 Snipers --- Head straight until you reach the wall in front of you and turn left, you'll see the 1st Sniper on a ledge above you, shoot him. A soldier will run up to you afterwards, shoot him too. Head through the doorway under the ledge and head through the doorway on the left side, climb up the debris in the corner and climb onto the ledge, there is another doorway with the 2nd Sniper, kill him. Equip the Nightvision Rifle you pick up from this Sniper and look out over the ledge that sniper was looking over, the 3rd should be marked on your radar so use the Nightvision Rifle to snipe him, (look over to the far right of where the ledge the sniper was looking over). Head back down to the lower level and out the door you came out of, go across the corridor to the other doorway. Head to the right and through the opening, turn right to see a soldier in a small room, shoot him. Head out the opening and look to the left where the 4th Sniper is perched on a rooftop, snipe him quickly. Head down the path parallel to the door, you'll see the 5th Sniper in a window when you get to a corner, snipe him, (he patrols this window, so wait for him to appear in it. Head around this corner and about half-way down this street on the left there is the 6th Sniper, he should be marked on the radar when you get to this point, carefully snipe him, (he patrols as well so wait for him). Continue down the street you are on in the original direction you were going and head under the arch, you'll see a soldier just behind this arch so shoot him and make a left at the corner, on the right side of the street should be the 7th Sniper in a building, snipe him (if you need directions to him, it is the northern-most point on the map). 2. Sabotage Weapon Caches --- Head into the doorway below where the 7th Sniper was perched and down the hole at the back of the room. Climb down the boxes and head down the corridor, shoot the guard that walks into this corridor ahead of you and at the first right turn go right. You'll see the weapon caches, get close and when the white text displays press Action to sabotage them. But wait! They are going to blow! You have 20 seconds to get out of there, escape out the way you came in to escape the explosion. 3. Document Gregorov's Troop Movement --- From the doorway looking out, turn right and head down this street, watch out because this area is now filled with re-spawning guards. When you get to the burning bus, (TAKE NOTE OF WHERE THE BUS IS!), turn right. Then turn left around the corner and head down this street, on the right should be an doorway you can enter, (use the map to find it if you need to, this objective is also marked there). Head through this door and turn right into the next building. There is a ledge in here so climb up it and continue through the doorway on this ledge. At the end of the corridor is a room with a hole in the floor, fall through it and you'll see a map on the wall. Get close to it and press Action when the white text displays and Lian will take a picture of it. 4. Retrieve Russian Prototype Weapon --- From the map room, head down the tunnel and when you get to a junction take the tunnel in front of you. Continue down and when you get to another room turn to the left. There are two paths from this vantage point, go through the tunnel straight in front of you and ignore the one on the left side. After going through this tunnel you'll be in a room, climb up onto the table and climb up through the hole. Exit this room through the door to the outside and turn right, head down this street. Turn left at the corner and one the right side of the steet should be a doorway you can enter. When you first enter this room, turn left and head through the rooms, when you get to the end, turn left and climb up the rubble. Climb up onto the ledge, and head out onto the ledge where there is a green box with the AU300: the prototype weapon. 5. Create Distraction for Logan's Convoy 6. Kill all Hostiles Threatening LZ --- Head back to the bus I told you to mark earlier, when you get on top the pilot calls you telling you to kill all the hostiles threatening the chopper. There are four hostiles to kill. The first is right behind you so shoot him quickly. To get the next one climb up on top of the bus using the wheel on the side and look down near where the flames are, head shoot this guy. The third one is across from the bus, (in front of where the wheel side is). The final one is around the corner to the right of where you came in. Lorelei While Lian is testifying in Washington, Gabe is in Ireland tracking down another shipment of the Syphon Filter virus. Working with his MI6 counterpart, Maggie Powers, Gabe needs to ensure that the shipload of viral containers never reaches its destination. To do this Gabe must infiltrate the ship and plant explosives in key locations. The bombs are timed to go off while the ship is at sea, thus sending it to the bottom of the Atlantic. Gabe knows he must also find the ship's manifest so he can discover where the virus is being tested. He needs any evidence he can find that will help him discover who is behind the shadowy organization controlling the Agency. ---------- Objectives ---------- 1. Plant Primary Explosive in Central Cargo Hold --- From the cargo box you start off on, turn around and climb down the side you are now facing. Use the Taser on the guard high up in the control booth, there will be another guard that will rush you from behind, kill him. Another will run out the door below this control booth on your floor, shoot him. While facing the control booth, do a 180 and run to the corner of this room, plant the first explosive here. 2. Plant Explosive in Aft Cargo Hold --- Go through the door below that control panel, where that guard ran through and turn to the left, when you get to a junction where you can either go left or right, go right. Continue down and shoot the two guards you come across, go around the corner and continue, go around another corner and you'll come to a junction. For this junction you can either go right or straight, go right and follow this corridor. When you get into the Aft Cargo Hold you'll see a short cut-scene, go left and peek behind the box to see a single guard. Get him with a head shot and continue to where he was, another guard will run out so shoot him too. The spot to put the explosives is on the far left corner from where you came in. 3. Plant Explosive in Forward Cargo Hold --- Head out the way you came in, turn left and then turn right. Continue down this corridor, shoot the guard and head around the corner. Continue down and a cut-scene will take over, after that head down the left corridor. Shoot the two guards on the left side and head through the first doorway on the right. Taser the guard up on the ledge and turn left and go under that ledge, (ignore the stairs) go around the boxes on the left side and plant the explosives in the corner. 4. Plant Decoy Explosive --- Exit out the the way you came in, turn right and at the end of the hall there is a box of Silenced 9mm ammo. Head out of this corridor and turn left, continue around the corner, take out the guard and head straight, ignore the path to the right that's half-way down this corridor. At the end, turn around the corner and on the left side there should be a small opening, head through it and turn left to see a lift, use it. Continue down here and you should see some stairs, head up the first flight and plant the decoy. Shoot the guards in this area as well. 5. Sneak into Captain's Quarters --- From here, head up the stairs to the next floor, when you arrive here and walk forward a bit, a cut-scene will take over. At the first junction you come to head left and enter the first door on the left, head behind the bar and walk towards the dumbwaiter, press Action to use it. 6. Steal Shipping Manifest --- Right in front of you is a table with the manifest on it, take it. 7. Kill Captain --- On the right is a doorway with the captain just outside, go to Sniper Mode and hit him with a headshot, a guard is right behind him so head shot him too while still in Sniper Mode. 8. Steal Incriminating Meeting Video --- From where you killed the captain, head straight then turn right. Follow the corner and kill the guard, there is a doorway on the left side that leads to a staircase going down, go through here. At the bottom is three guards waiting for you just out the bottom doorway, go into Sniper Mode and kill the guard in the hallway in front of you. The two guards that were in hiding will come out and try to enter the door, quickly kill them while in Sniper Mode. Head straight down this corridor and on the right is a door that leads to a meeting room. As you approach this door another guard comes out in front of you, kill him. Inside the meeting room is an official pacing back and forth, head shoot him. Once you are inside, another guard will enter the room so get him too. On the right from where you entered is a doorway leading to a projection room, there is a guard in here so slowly go in and eliminate him. Press Action by the projection machine to take the Meeting Video. 9. Return to Cargo Hold, Escape Ship --- From where you are in the projection room, head out the door that led into the meeting room and turn right, follow the corridor straight until you get to the end where there is a staircase leading down. Shoot the guard that comes out of this doorway and go down the stairs, once you reach the next floor head left and turn right down the first corridor on the right, you'll reach a checkpoint here. Turn left at the junction and continue down, shooting more guards as you come across them. Go around the corner and continue down the corridor, at the turn at the end turn left to reach another checkpoint. Go around the corner and make a right into the first corridor on the right. Go down this corridor and go right around the corner. You'll see another staircase going down on the left, at the bottom of the stairs is another checkpoint. Go into the door directly across from the door, head down the stairs and kill the guard on the bottom. Head out the door, turn left and make another left at the junction. Continue down and on the first right turn, turn right into the cargo bay. 10. Protect Maggie as She Lowers the Crane --- This is easy, what will happen is that you are facing the crane and two guards will run along both sides of the scaffolding and take fire on Maggie in the control booth. Snipe each of the guards with a headshot using the HK-15, (Sniper Rifle I would a little too clumsy for this). Once you kill about 10 guards you'll finish the objective. =*=*=*=*=*=*=* 8. Download Computer Model of Virus --- Go down the passageway to the left and kill the two guards, return to where you started off after that. Go through the other passageway and run towards the pit, (Lian automatically jumps) a cut-scene will follow but ignore it. Continue down until you get to a junction where you can go either left, right or straight: go left, (right and straight are blocked off). At the end of the left passageway, press Action to climb up to the small ledge, press it again to climb out of the pit. Shoot the two guards and run down the only passageway that isn't blocked off, you'll reach a checkpoint. Go straight from here, at the junction turn right and follow it until you receive a radio message. Turn left at the end and go right down the stairs, go down the right passageway and you'll see a short cut-scene followed by a checkpoint. Go back to the junction and go down the left corridor. Kill the guard in this area and climb up onto the boxes, then climb up through the hole in the roof. Walk off the ledge and turn left, follow the corridor and you'll reach another checkpoint. Head down this corridor and you'll come across a hallway lined with guards, shoot the grey barrels to cause explosions, this will eliminate the guards. On the first room on your left is a computer, use it to download the computer model of the virus. 2. Rescue 6 Scientists 3. Destroy 7 Computers 4. Locate Explosives to Destroy Gates 5. Rescue Dr. Freid --- Shoot the computer afterwards, 6 more to go. Approach the scientist behind the crates too to free him. There is a hole in the wall on the right side of this corridor with a Flak Jacket, take it if you need it. Continue down the main corridor, go around the corner and you'll see a scientist in the middle of the hall, approach him to free him. On the far end of the right side of this corridor is the 2nd Computer so destroy it. Near the beginning of this corridor on the right side is a tunnel, go through it to reach another checkpoint. Make sure to turn to the left in this tunnel, you'll know if you reached the correct room if there is a box with an H-11 in it. Go down the passageway leading up and you'll get a radio message, use the exit of the passageway as cover and use the H11 to take out the guards with head shots and use the taser on the guards on the roof. After dispatching all of the guards, head to the temple-like building straight and right a little of where the passageway was. There are two scientists in cells here, you must find explosives to rescue them so note the location. There is also a tear gas launcher in the center cell. Continue past the cells for now and continue on, you'll watch a cut-scene where soldiers are planning to kill Elsa. Snipe the first soldier by hiding behind the crates, then run and shoot the second one quickly. More soldiers will rush in, kill them all. Run into the room where Elsa is to free her, the 3rd Computer is in here too. From where you entered this area, go through the hole in the right wall by climbing over the pillar and shooting the three guards here. Head through the corridor on the right wall, taking note of the two more cells with scientists in them on the right. On the second doorway on the right is a room with the 4th computer in it and a guard, shoot both. Back in the hallway, the first left hole in the wall leads to another outside passageway, go down here and around the corner to arrive in a room with two guards and the 5th and 6th computers, shoot all. Go down the hallway to the left of where you entered and into the first doorway on the right to find the Explosives. Go back into the corridor and on the far left doorway from where you entered is a room with Dr. Freid, free him. Go back and free the last 4 scientists from their cells, (I trust you know where they are if you took note like I said). After finishing that, head back to the room where you found the Explosives and I'll direct you from there. From the Explosive Room, head out and turn right and go into the doorway on the right. Head into the Passageway and on the left wall is a room with the 7th Computer and a guard, shoot both. 6. Retrieve Physical Sample of Virus --- In this room is the box with the Virus Sample, take it. 7. Retrieve Artifact --- At the end of the corridor is a Flak Jacket box so take it if you need it. Remember where the Dr. Freid was? Head into that room and climb down the hole in the floor. There is an Artifact on the pillar lying on the ground, take it to finish the mission. =*=*=*=*=*=*= 9. Waterfront =*=*=*=*=*=*= -------- Briefing -------- Dublin, Ireland Dockyards While Lian continues her testimony in Washington concerning their first Syphon Filter mission together, Gabe is busy with problems of his own in Ireland. While he planted the explosives on the S.S. Lorelei and retrieved the ship's manifest, Maggie Powers' MI6 team was attacked by the IRA. Somehow the IRA had discovered the consortium's plans to drop viral containers at this dockyard, and have already unloaded several truckloads of the virus. Gabe knows that he can't allow any of the trucks to escape. If the IRA gets its hands on Syphon Filter, Europe will never be the same. ---------- Objectives ---------- 1. Steal IRA Intelligence From Safe --- From where you start, look forward and you'll see a soldier running in front of you opening fire. Go into Sniper Mode and head shot him, he's wearing a Flak Jacket so be careful. Turn to the right and you'll see another soldier a little farther away, he's opening fire on you too so head shot him, (he's also wearing a Flak Jacket. Run to where the first soldier was and on the left from where he was is a box with a Flak Jacket, take it if you need it. Halfway between the two soldiers is some wooden crates, behind it is a passageway where Maggie is waiting. A cut-scene takes over where she agrees to be your cover fire while you run to the 1st Truck, follow her and make sure to roll to avoid the sniper fire. When she stops and takes cover behind a pole, go down the passageway to her right and you'll see the truck, climb on the roof and plant the explosives. There's a 10 second timer so run away then once it goes off, you'll find a HK-5 ammo box behind the truck. Leave the truck area and turn right and you'll see Maggie waiting in a warehouse, run to her and you both get locked inside. Follow Maggie and when she stops and crouches, shoot the barrels lining the door across from you, (watch out: guards with M-79 Grenade Launchers are firing at you and if you delay too long they will kill Maggie). Head towards the door and to the right of the door inside the warehouse is a box with a Silenced Sniper Rifle. Leave the warehouse and head left, guards will come and shoot at you but friendly MI6 agents arrive in time and they'll take out the guards. When you get to a junction, turn right to see the 2nd truck. After destroying it, head across from the truck and a cut-scene will take over. Follow the MI6 agent into the warehouse, ignore the two guards that show up as he will take care of them. At the other end of the warehouse is Maggie and Russell, Maggie tells you to give Russell cover fire as he cracks a nearby safe. Follow Russell and when he goes to unlock the door to the warehouse with the safe, shoot the guards that will attack you, (use the Taser on the Snipers on the cliff). After he's finished, follow him into the warehouse and into the room with the safe. While he is cracking the safe, shoot the two guards that are shooting at you through the window, then take the single guard shooting through the door to this room. After that, head down the stairs, go forward and around the crates on the right and continue farther into the warehouse. In the next section of the warehouse, the exit is on the right from which you entered. Shoot the barrels to reveal it and head out. Turn right and at the junction turn left to see the 3rd Truck, shoot all the guards and destroy the truck. Behind the truck is a SPYDER and a Flak Jacket, take both. Turn around and head straight down towards the tunnel, at the end is the 4th Truck so take out all the guards and plant the explosives. =*=*=*=*=*=*==*=*=*=*=* 10. Docks Final Assault =*=*=*=*=*=*==*=*=*=*=* -------- Briefing -------- Dublin, Ireland Upper Dockyards Gabe has found and contained four of the IRA trucks which were loaded with stolen viral containers, but two more remain and he has no idea where to find them. Gabe had Maggie order her team to spread out quickly across the dockyards in a search-and-destroy pattern. An emergency radio call comes in. Maggie's best field agent, Nigel Cummings, is being pinned down by sniper fire in the north dockyards. Gabe has to get there as quickly as he can. That area of the wharf is a labyrinth of shipping containers: The perfect place to hide. Gabe knows he doesn't have much time. ---------- Objectives ---------- 1. Locate Nigel 2. Stop Trucks 3. When you see a turn into a small area to the left, go there to find Nigel. 2. Stop Trucks --- From here, kill all the guards in the area then run up to Nigel. Follow him to the crates. Now, this part is vital because Nigel will run ahead of you and you will run into guards. When Nigel stops running and pauses for a bit, take this opportunity to shoot all the guards around you. When he is running just keep him in your sights and follow him, ignoring the guards. When you get to the end a cut-scene will take over. 3. Destroy Fence at Entrance to Kabul --- From where you start, kill the three soldiers in front of you and then head to the brick ruins on the left side of the road, an M-16 box is here. Continue forth and stay on the left side, you'll see a soldier up ahead so shoot him. You'll get a radio communication telling you to take out the mortars, ignore it because that's just what you're about to do. Another soldier is just ahead a bit under a tented tarp, shoot him and enter the hidden tunnel under the tarp. Head through the tunnel and take out the three soldiers in the castle ruins, after finishing that head to the corner to the right of where you entered to find a Flak Jacket if you need it, then head back through the tunnel. Shoot the two soldiers in the tunnel and head out the other side to get your objectives updated. From the entrance of the tunnel, turn left and follow the truck down the road. You'll come across a fenced roadblock, shoot the soldiers guarding it and Ellis will place explosives on the first fence, (keep your distance to avoid being killed by the explosion). Run to the second fence and place explosives there, (a Flak Jacket is in a box on the right side of the area between the fences). Continue ahead and when you get to the bridge, head down the slope on the left side of the bridge and head to the left, once the Sniper becomes visible peg him with a head shot. Then head back to the bridge but stay on this slope and go under it, shoot the soldier and climb the boulder under the bridge. Climb up onto one of the girders and you'll see the explosives flashing a red light, approach it and press Action to defuse. Head back to the surface of the bridge, the truck and Ellis will continue. Ellis comes across a mine and will attempt to defuse it so shoot all the soldiers that approach the two of you and watch Ellis' back. Next up is a valley with Snipers, climb up the embankment to the left and head shot the Snipers from above, drop into the valley and continue on. The truck will stop and soldiers will attack from the embankments above, shoot them all. Continue down the path and you'll come to the Kabul entrance, but a fence blocks it. Soldiers will rush you and attack from across the fence, shoot them all. Afterwards, place explosives on the fence to complete the mission. =*=*=*=*=*=*= 12. After taking them out, get the Flak Jacket beside the truck if you need it and on the left side of the road is an M-16 box. When you get to the archway, peek out of it and shoot the two snipers on each side. Equip the M-16 and when you enter this area, a soldier on foot will attack you and another sniper will appear, shoot both. Head forwards some more and Lian will call you with your new objective to find the rebel garrison. Head into the town square and kill all the soldiers that appear, the explosives are straight ahead and to the right of where you entered, there is also a Flak Jacket to the right of the C-4 box. When you take them, head out of the square and turn right to face the tank you must take out. Dodge the explosive shells it fires and follow it down the path by walking on the side of it. Because Dr. Weissinger's signature was on the shipping invoices, they also knew who was running the medical end of the operation. They would need to capture her to solve the mystery of who was behind Syphon Filter. Since Gabe was required to be in Washington to testify, Lian teamed up with Maggie Powers to perform the kidnapping. But Lian also has other plans. She intends to obtain photographic evidence of genocide, sabotage the compound's communications, and take out as many terrorists as she can. Head up to it and press Action to sabotage it, (check your map if you need help). 2. Primary: Photograph Evidence of Aborigine Genocide --- From the position that you are facing to turn off the dish, turn a 180 around and head in that direction. Straight ahead is a mass grave, get close to it and press Action to take a picture, (again: check your map if you need help finding it). 3. Primary: Eliminate 4 Soldiers Guarding Dr. Weissinger's Tent --- From where you entered the grave area, turn right and head down that direction until you see a sniper tower with the 1st Soldier, head shot him, (beware: he can hit you with a head shot too). Continue on and the 2nd and 3rd soldiers will rush you so head shot them too, (all 4 are wearing flak jackets). Enter the fence area to the left and head to the left when you enter it to see the 4th soldier around a corner, kill him too. Enter the tent to find Dr. Weissinger. 4. Find Vial of Syphon Filter RNA 5. Find Vial of Viral Protein Inhibitor 6. Find Vial of Reverse Transciptase --- This part is incredibly easy as all Vials are marked on your radar, just follow the blinking blue dots and take out any soldiers you meet on the way. Afterwards, head back to the Dr.'s tent, be careful as three soldiers with flak jackets are in here so use peeking and head shots to take them out. 7. Rescue Dr. Weissinger after Completing Primary Objectives --- Follow Weissinger out of the tent, take out the two guards at the entrance and continue to follow her. She stops and tells you the helicopter is ahead, run ahead and to the right up a hill to find the helicopter with four guards around it. Under orders from Mara Aramov, he is to shut down the entire operation, killing not only the aborigines, but the entire medical staff. Assassinate Commander Silvers 2. Give Antidote to 6 Aborigines --- This is the very first stealth mission in the game, so stay out of the sight of all the guards otherwise you'll fail the mission. Use head shots to kill guards from a distance, you're still allowed to take them out. Just to let everyone know, I'll try my best to tell you where to find each Aborigine but the level is very similar in design and easy to get lost trying to figure out where to go. Check all the buildings in this area as 4 of the 6 Aborigines are hiding in them. If you come across an area that still has a guard standing, that indicates you haven't been there yet, (kill every guard you see) so be sure to check those areas. From where you start, take the Flak Jacket from the box if you need it. Head forwards a bit and snipe the guard in the tower on the left, head forwards a bit more sniping any guards you see on your radar. Head down the left side of the truck in front of you and a little ways ahead you should see a small structure where the 1st Aborigine is visible, take out the guard patrolling the perimetre of the structure and give the cure to the Aborigine. From here, head outside the structure and turn right and go around the corner. Keep going in the direction you're facing and sniper any guards that appear on your radar. Keep going until you reach a sniper tower with a spotlight, take cover behind a crate and snipe the soldier on the tower. From the direction you are facing the tower, turn left and head down here until you see what appears to be a smoking mine entrance, go down here to cure the 2nd Aborigine. From the entrance of the smoking mine, (facing away from it) head right. On your right a bit down this ways you'll see two soldiers guarding the 3rd & 4th Aborigines. Activate Sniper View and wait until the two soldier's heads are parallel to each other, (one is walking and the other is still, wait until you line up their heads in your shot to take them out with a single bullet). Cure the two Aborigines afterwards. From where you entered this area, head right until you see the 5th Aborigine in a building, cure him. Head back to the smoking mine and from the position of looking out of it, head right and head all the way to the other side, the last Aborigine is in a building on the other side. 3. Steal Truck and Head to LZ Point --- After that, head back to where you started the level, (check map if you need help finding it) and press Action to steal the truck there. Once a small cut-scene takes over kill all the guards surrounding the helicopter and the mission will end. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* 15. Hold this position by holding X and slowly walking forward, once you see the green enemy dot in your radar, zoom in with you Sniper Rifle to the tower ahead and quickly kill the sniper with a head shot. Equip the HK-5 and kill the militia member that runs towards you on the ground. Turn to the left again and head right and a bit forward to see the second tower, once you see the green enemy dot hit the militia sniper with a head shot. 2. Find and Rescue Agent DeMarco --- Continue on to where the second tower was and run under it, shooting the militia member that meets you there. A little bit ahead, you'll get a radio call and a new objective. Head forwards a bit and you'll see DeMarco, get a little closer and he will yell about this being an ambush. Approach him and quickly run away to avoid the grenade, shoot the two militia that show up and approach DeMarco and press Action to untie him. Climb over the rocks to the left to continue. 3. Plant Homing Device on Powerlines --- Ahead you'll run into two militia being led away in custody by FBI agents, ignore them and continue on killing the militia that comes running out. Ahead is the power lines, approach the middle pole and press Action to lay a beacon, immediately kill the two Shotgun-armed militia that run out to you. 4. Remove Homing Device on Powerlines --- Ahead a cut-scene will take over, after it's finished head back to the power lines, (straight ahead from where you face after the cut-scene). Kill the NSA Agents that run out then ahead for the lines, upon removing the beacon three more Agents will run out so shoot them all. Then head back to where the cut-scene took place. 5. Make Your Way to the Crash Site and Report Back Its Location --- From here, you are forbidden from killing any Militia, so use you Crossbow to hit them, (DO NOT use head shots with this as it is lethal). You may still kill NSA agents, however. Basically at this point it's "get from Point A-to-Point-B", use the O button to roll A LOT to avoid getting hit by enemy fire, navigate through the little village and you'll later come across a white text that says "This Way to Oakton Compound", follow it and turn right and you'll see three militia running towards the compound. Follow them from a distance and once they get mowed down by NSA sniper fire, head to where they were and keep rolling to avoid their fire. Find Debbie & Dustin Oakton and Bring Them To Safety --- From the starting point, head around the corner and watch the NSA Agent kill running militia, shoot the agent afterwards. On the left wall from where you start is a Flak Jacket, so take it if you need it. Continue on, kill the NSA agent and then watch the shoot-out in the house-like structure. After the explosion, kill the NSA member then run towards the entrance, (your character will automatically jump to the beam). Walk off and press Action to climb up to the other side. In the next room, walk around the crates and into the hole that's around the corner. Down there you'll see two NSA agents beating a militia, head shot them because they are wearing Flak Jackets, (don't worry about the militia member getting killed, it's only if you kill him that the mission is failed). On the right wall in the first alcove from where you dropped down is another hole, go down it. Head down the passage, you'll hear an NSA agent talking to a radio, shoot him through the grate above you. Furthur down the passage is another NSA agent, shoot him and climb out. Once outside, turn around the corner and kill the two NSA agents. On the right side of the truck is a militia member, approach him to get a new objective. On the left side of the truck is a brown door, press Action to kick it open and get a new objective after the cut-scene. You'll have to use some stealth for this objective, climb up the cargo box in front of you and turn around, run towards the part of the catwalk that has text that reads "jump here". You'll automatically jump to the catwalk, crouch down and slowly approach Silvers from behind, when the text "Place Homing Beacon" appears press Action. Then quietly drop off the catwalk to finish the objective. Head to the opposite side of the warehouse and head up the ramp to the upper level and out the doorway in front of you. Head through the corridor until you get outside, Kelly is underneath the stairs so untie him. After that three NSA agents will attack so kill them all. Afterwards, head down the well in this area to access a secret passage. Down here you'll see two militia that order you to kneel to the ground, so do so where it says "Press X to Kneel". After a brief talk they'll give you a grenade launcher and you're on your way. Out of the tunnel, continue on and fire a grenade at the NSA agents on the other side, prepare for an ambush so unload on all NSA agents you come across, furthur ahead is a red door so press Action to kick it down. Once in the next area, run and roll to the other side and head down this passage as the militia here will open fire on you so it's not worth the risk to take out NSA in this area. Ahead is a red structure with it's door open, head in and go through the rooms until you're outside, turn left to get another M-79. Turn around and you'll see three militia do battle with some snipers, approach them to get a new objective. Now equip the M-79 and open fire with one grenade on the three snipers, (they can score head shots on you so be careful). After they are all gone, head left and into the structure here. Once down shoot all the NSA agents and from where you entered, turn right and press Action by the matress in the corner to finish the mission. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* 17. Underground Bunker =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* -------- Briefing -------- Dakton Compound, Western Montana Underground Bunkers Teresa's Testimony from the Congressional Record "Getting Dakton's family to trust me was tough, but I knew that the only way to get them off that mountain safely was through their underground bunker system. A lot of those survivalist compounds had been built right over the top of old mines, giving them access to a network of hidden tunnels." "I had always thought the Daktons were more paranoid than most because they had created an entire compound down there. Looking back, I guess it wasn't so paranoid. It was hiudden pretty well, but the NSA hitsquads were coming fast, and I not only didn't know the way, but had a pregnant woman in tow, and she wasn't moving all that fast." ---------- Objectives ---------- 1. Meet Debbie Dakton in Bunkers --- Follow Dakton's son down the tunnel, when he stops to plant something immediately go past him because he is setting explosives which will go off when he's done. After that, follow him down until he stops so you can get some supplies, there is a Falcon on the green-lit cave on your left. Go back to where Dusty is and go down the cave to the right, there are four NSA agents here so take them all out. Follow Dusty down until he stops in an extremely dark cave, take out the two NSA agents that appear and he'll give you some night-vision googles to help you see. Take the M-79 in the box on your left and follow Dusty down some more tunnels until you get to a spiral ramp-like structure, shoot the two NSA agents in here and continue on. You'll get to an underground room with two more agents, kill them both and pick up the Flak Jacket in the box on the right. Afterwards, follow Dusty to the room where Debbie is. 2. Locate Emergency Medical Kit 3. Prevent Premature Birth of Debbie Dakton's Child --- Exit the room where the Daktons are, facing away from the tunnel that leads to the room turn left and enter the first left corridor, you should be in a room with computers. Exit it through the tunnel on the right, turn right and head down the very last tunnel on the right, (it should lead down). You'll see two grey doors, press Action to kick them open and the First-Aid kit is on the left. Return to the Daktons taking out all NSA agents you run into. 4. Lead Dakton Family Out of Caves --- Protect Debbie, ignore Dusty since it's Debbie you want to protect. Follow her as she walks and take out any NSA agent unfortunate enough to attack, soon she will enter an elevator and all three of you will ride down a level. Follow Dusty, since he will attack with you, to clear the path ahead of any NSA agents and eventually you'll get to a conference room. Dusty will set-up some charges and two more agents will run through the doorway, kill them both and Dusty will set off the charges, escape through the secret path he opens to finish the mission. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= 18. Senate Building =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= -------- Briefing -------- Washington D.C. Senate Hearings Building Things begin to unravel quickly. Vince Hadden, revealed to be the shadowy arms consortium leader who has been running the Agency all along, has been murdered by Mara Aramov. Gabe asks Teresa to stay in the hearings chamber with the wounded federal agents, while Gabe goes after Mara. But things get complicated, viral bombs have been planted throughout the building and the only way to stop them all is to retrieve the disarm code from Hadden's office. In the meantime, DC bomb squad agents are coming under terrorist fire everywhere in the building, and Mara's getting away. ---------- Objectives ---------- 1. Find the Cancellation Code to Deactivate the Bombs --- Head down the hall to the right and immediately got into Sniper View because there is a terrorist waiting around the corner. He's wearing a Flak Jacket so hit him with a head shot, round the corner and head shot the terrorist that is charging at you. There is an open corridor to your left, head down it and take the last door on the right, (it's right beside a bench in a small alcove). Shoot the two terrorists that are in this room and notice the white text on the above air vent that say "Shoot Vent", do so. Climb up onto the sink and into the vent. Crawl through it until you get to an office with white text on the desk that allows you to get the Cancellation Code. 2. Rescue the Captured Federal Agents From the Senate Lobby --- Two terrorists will enter this room, one from the door and one will drop from the vent. Kill both and leave, in the corridor outside the office are two Flak Jacket-wearing terrorists so head shot both. Head back to the area where you found the room that had the vent, but enter the room opposite to that room to find two terrorists inside said room taking a leak. Kill both and shoot out the vent in this room and enter. In the office you end up in, use the control panel to open all the gates, allowing you access outside of this room and to the hostages a little later on. Turn around, out the door and turn right. You will be attacked by two terrorists with a Flak Jacket so head shot them. Turn left and continue down this hall until you get to the Senate Lobby. There are two terrorists in here, both are wearing flak jackets so peek out the corner and head shot them. Two will rappel from the ceiling so head shot them while peeking as well. This will initiate a cut-scene and complete the objective. 3. Capture Mara Aramov --- Save, then grab the Flak Jackets from the fallen soldiers if you need them. A radio message will come and a small cut-scene will accompany it. Leave this room, follow the hallway from where you came and take the first right. Continue down, take the first left and then turn right, two Flak Jacket wielding soldiers pop out so head shot them. Follow this hallway straight down until you reach the elevator. Use Action while in it to go down, you'll hit a Checkpoint. At the bottom, observe the cutscene and head forward. Two soldiers run out so gun them down, (no blasted Flak Jackets on them, thank God). Run out onto the tracks and quickly climb up to the opposite ledge, (don't get hit by the train). Then head left, gunning down more soldiers and head to the train car, press Action in front of it to end this mission. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*= 19. D.C. Subway =*=*=*=*=*=*=*= -------- Briefing -------- Washington D.C. Senate Subway System Though Gave has managed to help the DC Bomb Squad disarm most of the viral bombs, Mara has escaped with one. She boards a subway train which seems to have been prepared as the terrorists means of escape. It is swarming with consortium terrorists. Gabe knows that it is he alone against an entire army, odds that he likes. There is no way to stop the train as it careens beneath the DC streets. Gabe isn't sure where Mara is heading, but he fears that once she gets there, she will detonate the bomb and thousands, perhaps millions, of innocent people will die. Gave reflects on the irony that it was in these same DX subway tunnels that he met Mara Aramov fo the first time, two years before. He should have killed her then. ---------- Objectives ---------- 1. Rescue 3 Hostages --- When you start, two terrorist run out of the door in front of you, gun them down. Go through the next car, grabbing the Flak Jacket on the left if you need it and into the 3rd Car. The roof blows off and two terrorist rappel down, kill them both. Into the fourth, then the fifth and two more terrorists crash through the side windows, kill them. Into the sixth, then the seventh and you'll see two Flak Jacket (argh) wearing terrorists behind some seats in the middle of the car. One throws grenades (watch it) and the other shoots...hit both with head shots then move to the opposite end of the car to hit a Checkpoint and a cut-scene. New objective, run into the eighth car and keep going until you hit the tenth one. The roof blows up and two more terrorist rappel down, kill them. Moving into the eleventh car, you can see two terrorists in the twelfth warning you to not "come any closer". They have a hostage and if you enter that car they will kill her. Be quick on the draw here, equip a rapid-fire gun (in other words, not the 9mm) and try to hit both with head shots. Aim for the first guy, then sweep to the right taking out the second one. Then head into the next car and free the 1st Hostage. Into the twelve car, then the thirteenth and a short cut-scene will occur. After watching it, head shot the two flak jacket terrorists behind the seats in the fourteenth car ahead. Keep going until you get to the sixteenth car, in the seventeenth car ahead you see another hostage with two terrorists guarding him. Head shot then quickly with a rapid-fire gun (H-11 was my favorite) using the same tactic as above. Free the 2nd Hostage and get another checkpoint. In the eighteenth car, the roof blows up and two more terrorist rappel down, shoot them. Continue forth until you get to twenty-first car, terrorist burst through the windows at the end so gun them down. Car twenty-two has another ceiling blow up and terrorist rappel down, so kill them. Then in the twenty-third car you see two more terrorists guarding the 3rd Hostage so use the same tactics as before. 2. Kill Mara's Lieutenant Before he Separates the Engine Car --- When you get to the middle of the twenty-seventh car, two terrorist burst out of the windows in front of and behind you. Turn around and shoot the terrorist behind you (Flak Jacket guy) with a head shot then target and hit his friend. Grab the Flak Jacket dropped by the terrorist or grab the one in the twenty-sixth car. Continue forth, car twenty-nine has another roof-blow-up but the guys don't rappel down. They try to snipe you from the roof, (watch out for head shots). For some reason, back up and they blow up, (can't explain it). Anyways, save and continue from this checkpoint. Car thiry has the AU300 so grab it. Car thirty-two has the Lieutenant, snipe him from afar quickly with the AU300 to complete this objective. 3. Rig Explosives to Engine Room Door 4. Kill Mara Aramov --- Grab the explosives in the room the Lieutenant was in, rig them to the opposite door, then run like hell to the thirtyth car to avoid the explosion. Head back to the engine car to see Mara holding a woman hostage, do no enter the engine car but climb up above the door leading to it to the roof of the train. Head to the opposite end, using the AU300 and target Mara's head from the roof, (yes, you can see through metal, just head shot her). _-_-_-_-_-_-_ VII. Thoughts _-_-_-_-_-_-_ This was my first ever full walkthrough for a game, and it was rough. In the last year I suffered a full courseload, personal problems, work and whatever else I had to toil through. Finishing this finally gets me some rest. Right now, I am contemplating doing a guide for SF2. I have the game, I know it's the hardest of the bunch but I felt really comfortable doing a guide for a SF game due to the simplicity of the game structure.
