Why I cannot get to the man menu on Guitar Freaks1?

In Guitar Freaks 1, after the loading with the guitars spinning appears a message in japanese with a forbidden symbol (red circle with a obliquous line) on the background. Nothing happens then regardless of pressed buttons or waiting.

Because the game enters in anti-piracy mode. If you hear a high pitch sound it also enters the ap mode. You must use a gameshark code or use a ps2 to bypass this.
