  1. There are two ways to get gp one is to buy it from the guy just behind the save point in gold saucer. he is by the house in the back.
The other way is to race chocos in the b rank or higher just get a wounderfull one in the icefields the one with the jumper at it's side.

  1. buy a ticket to gold saucer ->
run in and out (to reset the map) ->
repeat untill a man will spawn near the save point (15% chance according to sources) ->
    buy gp from him

can only be done after obtaining highwind (disc 2)

    for battle square/arena:

Equip Cloud’s Ultimate Weapon called Ultima Weapon (which can be obtained by defeating Ultimate Weapon (boss) - and your strongest armor. This will be either the Ziedrich or Mystile. Finally, equip a Ribbon in the accessory slot.

You will want the following Materia:

    - Double Cut Materia
    - Restore Materia (for casting Cure3 and Regen)
    - Counter Attack Materia
    - Ultima Materia in case your weapon or regular attacks are not effective
    - Enemy Skill Materia (back up attacks and you can use White Wind to cure negative status effects)
    - Luck Plus Materia and Magic Plus Materia if you have room

Use Regen early on in the fight and keep it active for the duration of the battle. You can use items during the battle but you lose them permanently so try to avoid it if you can.

  1. Race Chocobos and always take the GP option. Unless its a really good item.

  2. Like they've said, chocobos are the way to go. They may be a pain but if you're on disc 3, you should have some mastered "All" materia which you can sell for 1.4 million Gil each, and that can help pay for feeding and breeding chocobos. You can buy more "All" materia from Fort Condor since you've already done the Huge Materia quest. They sell for the low, low price of 20,000 gil.

The GP mystery prizes aren't really all that anyway though - you get much better stuff from winning the Chocobo Races (Sneak Attack Materia, Counterattack Materia, and some one of a kind items), so the getting GP part will just be a nice bonus, and help you fight more in the Battle Arena, which, if you haven't done yet, also has some great stuff.

If you're stuck playing arcade games, though, the submarine game is the easiest but the most boring.

  3. Bump^, if you have a really fast chocobo, better yet a fast gold chocobo so you can beat joe and his black chocobo "teioh", (i think thats it's name..)you can get alot of cool items in the s-class races, and once you have enough of those items, get gp instead. Items like elixers or materia such as sneak attack or magic counter can be worth 300gp or more each! Breeding a fast gold chocobo isnt that hard, you just have to know how to do it, and have alot of gil and patience.
An easier way to get a fast gold chocobo is to kill ruby weapon and exchange the desert rose for a gold chocobo with that "kalm traveler" guy, then race that chocobo to s-class if you can, then mate it with a wonderful chocobo (also s-class)using a zeio nut, in order to get a faster gold chocobo(sinse the gold chocobo you get from the guy in kalm will most likely be SLOW). save before mating them incase it doesnt work the first few tries, it should work though, I've done it this way.
Once you have that fast gold chocobo you can really rake in the gp and cool stuff from winning races.

  4. There is a problem with Joe and his black chocobo...
No matter how fast your chocobo is, Joe's chocobo is ALWAYS better. Just always.
