Steam Achievements

Through the Steam version of the game, you can now access Achievements! All 21 of them are listed below, as well as what's needed to earn them.

Demon Duster Unlock all details for all non-boss bestiary entries. Drink the Bestiary Potion, then unlock every normal monster's full set of statistics by beating them over and over until you have them all. (46 enemies, 276 statistics.)
Darm It! Complete Ys II on any difficulty. Beat the game.
A Legend Is Born Complete Ys II on Nightmare difficulty. Beat the game on Nightmare.
Fireball Wizard Complete Ys II Time Attack. Beat the Time Attack after beating the game.
Keep the Doctor Away Scatter apples violently across the floor, most likely bruising them horribly. Lift the counter in the clinic in Lance Village to scatter the apples.
Bill the Duck Receive money from a duck. Go to Brody's House in Lance Village and give him 5 food items; he'll tell you about the duck. Go above the clinic and talk to one of the ducklings to get 500 G.
Revenge of Sworded Details Receive a free Short Sword. Don't buy a Short Sword, then enter the Ruins of Moondoria and talk to Leggs to receive a free one.
What the Legends Don't Tell You Burn 50 villagers. Once you can use Fire Magic, just run around Lance Village and repeatedly hit them with fire. It only needs to be done 50 times; not to 50 separate people.
Gila's Monsters Eliminate all the monsters in Gila's basement. After defeating Velagunder, return to Lance Village, then go to Gila's House and talk to him. Enter his basement and repeatedly beat all of the monsters there, as well as in the room afterward to earn this one.
The Hand That Feeds Them Make all the animals in Ramia Village absolutely adore you. SAVE, then feed the three animals on the right side of Ramia Village three times each; they only eat Cruberries and Herbs. Once you've done that, go into Gorto's House and feed his cat your Smoked Meat and Raw Meat. Reload that saved game, then feed the cat once more to earn this. Load your game again after that to have your meats back.
No Reservations Receive and eat four unique homemade food items.
'' 1) Lucy, who is tending the pikkard pen in the lower-left part of Lance Village. Give her 3 items, and she'll give you a Meat Pie. (If you want more after you've eaten it, torch her with fire so she's not happy with you, then give her more items so she's happy again.
'' 2) Theo, who is walking around the Elder's Residence in Lance Village. Give him 4 items, and he'll give you some Smoked Meat. (If you want more after you've eaten it, just give him another food item.)
'' 3) Nash, who is walking between the well and Tarf's House in the Colony of Lava. Give him 5 items, and he'll give you some Raw Meat. (If you want more after you've eaten it, just give him another food item.)
'' 4) Zalem, who is manning (or womanning?) her shop, Zalem's Battle Best. Give her 5 items, and she'll give you a Cruberry Pie. (If you want more after you've eaten it, just give her another food item.)
Timestop Understanding Ensure that Maria is not amused. When you first encounter Maria in the Campanile of Lane, use your Time Magic on her.
Police Are On Their Way "Measure" Tarf. When Tarf joins you in the Moat of Burnedbless, have him follow you back to the area where you found the Iron Ore. You can back him into that upper-left corner to "measure" him.
Personal Trainer Raise Tarf to max level. When Tarf joins you in the Moat of Burnedbless, feed him your food items until he is Level 2, then let him throw rocks at enemies and defeat them to level up. 25 is the max. It's best to become a Roo and stand between Tarf and the enemy.
Juuuuust Right Sleep in three women's beds. Talk to Lilia (Lance Village), Zalem (Ramia Village), and Maria (Core of Ancient Ys), then run at their beds in their respective homes until you can climb in them.
Mosquitoes!! Oh God make them go away! After the events in the Campanile of Lane, return to the Ruins of Moondoria. On the right side of the area beside the water near Leggs, you can see a swarm of mosquitoes. SLOWLY lure them back to the entrance to the Ruins (near Moondoria Field). As long as they're extremely close to you when you exit to the Field, you'll earn this one.
And Your Children's Children Slaughter ten generations of gatekeeper. Once you have the Cleria Sword, defeat 5 sets (10 total) of the Zearots guarding the gate to the Shrine of Solomon.
Where's Aldow? Find and speak with Aldow. Aldow hides in the hidden room in the Rasteenie Mine, where you found the Evil Bell. Turn into a Roo and talk to him to earn this one.
Spendthrift Max out your money. Accumulate 99,999 G.
Set Sail For New Adventure Set Sail For New Adventure Earn the rest listed above.
