Is there a limit to the number of monsters you can have?

  1. When I made my first game I seemed to hit the limit of 30. I wasn't sure if I misunderstood. YES, I see that you can increase the number of monsters, but when I did that, and I tried selecting from the list to add to the monster list in the map properties (of each map) it would only show the first thirty, plus it stuck to their original names (in the map properties dialog).

  2. Oh I see one thing - I can change the title of the monster in the "troops" section which does fix that problem with seeing in the pull-down menu when inserting an event

Still need to know if there's a limit. I'm ASSUMING there isn't, but I swear I encountered some weird problem where I couldn't select beyond a list of 30...

  3. I guess you can't use more than 30, unless you use a script or something (I don't know of any).

  4. I see what the problem was: I was editing just the Enemy tab rather than the Troops tab as well.

  1. There's a limit to monsters and troops. That limit is 999.
Click the 'Change Maximum' button below the monsters and/or troops lists and select the new maximum.

I see no problems with my RMVX. No 30-limit appears neither on the Map Properties nor anywhere else, it shows the 999 when I set the maximum to so.
