Will this game be able to be played on a Mac?

  1. Why yes it will.

    You can simply change a directory.

    r_Driver = "Direct3D9" to r_Driver = "OpenGL" in the system.cfg file

    And that will work. The farcry engine is capable of using Direct3D (Windows Only) and Open GL which is OS free.. So that changing of that one thing should do the trick. Without the need to install windows.

  1. If you mean by running it on OSX, I don't think the game has a release for OSX yet.
    If you mean by running it on bootcamp, then it depends on which model you have.

    But if your computer doesn't at least have a standard GPU (as in not some Intel chipset), then I highly doubt it would run at a playable speed.

  2. The only way for this game to run on a mac is if you use bootcamp. No word has been set on a mac version.

  3. You could look into something like Darwine to get Windows applications to run on your Mac.
