Flight Sim Labs, the company behind some of the plane designs, caught hell in early 2018 when it was revealed the A320-X airbus DLC contained malware that could dump Chrome users' passwords. FSL later clarified that they were searching for one very slippery pirate's data (meant to get access to his registration-only sites) in order to shut him down, and that no other users' private info were caught in the crossfire. However, malware under the guise of consumer protection was outrageous enough to lead some to seek refunds and/or boycott the developers.
