I. Introduction

Welcome, to yet another FAQ about a game you've probably never heard of (what
IS it with me and writing FAQs about games you've probably never heard of?
Maybe it's because of my personal belief that every game deserves at least one
FAQ, and I'm sure there's someone out there that wants help with this game).
This game, Spelling Blizzard, is also known as "Advanced Spelling Tricks" and
"Magic Spelling Tricks". But let's be honest; which of those sounds the best?
This is the sequel to Spelling Jungle (also known as "Basic Spelling Tricks"),
but is in many ways very similar; many of the animals and obstacles are
exactly the same or at the very least similar to Spelling Jungle; for example,
Polar Bears act the same as Lions did in Spelling Jungle, but unlike Lions
they can be bribed. Another example is the Moose, which acts exactly the same
as the Rhinoceros from Spelling Jungle, except the Moose can't be bribed. Some
enemies, like the Abominable Snowman, however, have no counterpart in Spelling
Jungle The puzzles and words in Spelling Blizzard, of course, are harder.

Spelling Blizzard, as you may have figured out, is an educational game. It
teaches spelling. However, outside of the educational aspects, it's a good
game. For a bit more information on the layout of the game, see "Game Info".

The reason I decided to write this guide is that some of the puzzles are quite
tricky. Although I managed to figure them all out eventually, that doesn't
mean everyone will, and some people might need some help on some of them. And
that is the reason I write all of my guides: To help people who may not have
been able to figure out what I did.

As always with my PC FAQs, I played the Macintosh version of this game.
However, there are almost certainly no major differences, so this guide should
be applicable to both Windows and Macintosh versions.

II. Version History

1.01: I accidentally had some smart quotes in this document, which "mutate"
into these weird symbols when uploaded to GameFAQs. The smart quotes have been
removed in this update and the guide should now look normal. (8/8/06)

1.00: Fixed a few mistakes and added some stuff to the Introduction section.
Also finished the walkthrough completely. (8/7/06)

0.71: First release. First 71 puzzles covered. (7/15/06)

III. FAQ

Q: Where can I find this game?

A: That's a tough one. I checked some abandonware sites and they don't have it
for Mac OR PC. The company that made it no longer sells it, which isn't much
of a surprise given that it's over 10 years old. Best place to get this is
probably eBay or a similar site. It was released under several names, so be
sure to search for ALL of them (Spelling Blizzard, Advanced Spelling Tricks,
and Magic Spelling Tricks)

Q: When I try to play the game, it says my monitor needs to be set to 256
colors. What do I do?

A: Set the monitor to 256 colors. Well, what did you think? How to do this
probably depends on your computer, so if you don't know how check the manual
or do a search online to find out.

Q: Why is this FAQ so short?

A: Because I couldn't think of any other good questions to put here, as pretty
much everything else is covered elsewhere in this guide.

IV. Game Info/Obstacles

The story line of this game is that the Glacial River is being flooded, which
is causing trouble for people who live near it. They have asked Yobi, an old
and magical wizard, to aid them. However, he is too old to undertake the
physically strenuous task of going all the way the river to discover the cause
of the problem. You, Wali, his student, are given the task to do so.

There are two parts of this game: The "puzzles" and the River Spell Down. The
puzzles are the important part of the game, and what I'll be dealing with in
this guide. The "River Spell Down" occurs between the puzzles. You're orally
given a word and must correctly type it out. If you get it wrong, you'll be
told how it is correctly spelled and will be given another word. Once you
spell enough words correctly, you'll continue to the next puzzle. At the
beginning of the game you only need to spell three words correctly. After
every ten puzzles, you will need to spell one more, but after level 70 no more
will be added (meaning that the maximum will be 10 words you need to type
out).

Anyway, the puzzles. You start out on the Raft and you're given a word. There
are letter tablets throughout the puzzle. After getting off the Raft, your job
is to walk over the letter tablets in order to spell the word correctly. That
may sound easy, but your job is complicated by the fact that all kinds of
obstacles will be standing in your way. You'll have to figure out how to get
past them in order to solve the puzzles! Anyway, once you pick up all the
letters in order, all the obstacles will disappear (except for Snowballs) and
you'll have to get back to the Raft. In some puzzles, you'll have to carefully
prepare so that you will be able to get back to the Raft. You can choose to
start a puzzle over at any time during it. And now it's time for information
about the things you'll encounter in those puzzles.

Terrain:

Land: The "basic" kind of terrain. You and animals can walk across it.

Snow: The same as land, except animals cannot walk across it unless you push
them there after bribing them. Note also that animals cannot hurt you while
you are on snow. A Wolf or Polar Bear can be right next to you, but if you're
on the Snow you're safe.

Ice: If you start to head one way on the ice, you'll keep going that way until
you hit something. The same thing happens to Snowballs if you push them onto
the ice. Animals will not go on the ice.

Water: You cannot cross water ordinarily. The only way to do so is to ride a
Killer Whale, ride an Ice Block, use a Snowball as a bridge, or use a Walk
Over Water potion.

Glacial Crevasse: Animals will not go into a glacial crevasse. If you fall
into one, you have to start the level over.

Stone Walls: Stone walls are impassable obstacles, both for you and everything
else.

Trees: The same as Stone Walls, EXCEPT that you can throw Mackerel through
them and Trickster attacks go through them. So can the Abominable Snowman's
attacks.

Animals:

Moose: A Moose will walk back and forth without turning. If you are in front
of it and it walks into you, you'll have to start the level over.

Walrus: A Walrus swims in the water, hugging the edge of it. If you get too
close to a Walrus, it will come after you. It can't hurt you but you can't
walk through it. If you get far enough away from the water it will return to
the water. If it is out of the water it can be bribed and will not move while
bribed.

Polar Bear: A Polar Bear stays in one spot (its "den" or home space) and
remains there until you get too close. It will try to get to you once you are
too close. If it catches you, you'll have to start the level over. If it comes
at you and you get far enough away, it'll go back to its home space" If you
bribe a Polar Bear, it will stay where it is and you can push it until the
bribe wears off.

Wolf: Wolves stay in once place until they see you. If they do, they will
align themselves with you. If you go towards it or away from it, move towards
you as much as you move towards or against it. Note that all it takes if for
you to press the arrow keys for the Wolf to move in this way, you can actually
stand next to a wall and press the arrow key in that direction and the Wolf
will approach you. If you move to the side, it will do so also. If you're too
close, it will chase you. If a Wolf catches you, you'll have to start the
puzzle over.

Killer Whale: Killer Whales move in the water until you bribe it. It will come
towards you once bribed and you can ride on its back. If the bribe wears off
while you're still on it, however, it'll resume swimming and you'll fall into
the water, and have to start the level over.

Penguin: Penguins run on land and swim quickly in water. They cannot hurt you.
You can bribe it and it will stop moving and you can push it around until the
bribe ends. If a Penguin walks across a Mackerel while it's on land, it will
eat it and will be bribed for ten seconds.

Tricksters:

NOTE: In the game itself, these are referred to as "demons" rather than
"tricksters", except for the Abominable Snowman (which isn't exactly a
Trickster). They are called Tricksters in the instruction booklet, which is
the term I shall be using.

Fire Trickster: The Fire Trickster throws fire balls in all directions.
However, its range is limited. If you get hit by one of its fire balls, you'll
have to start the level over.

Dart Trickster: If you are horizontally or vertically on the same line as the
Dart Trickster, it'll shoot darts at you. The darts are fast, so you'll have
to be a fair amount away to be able to run past it before the darts hit you.
If a dart hits you, as you may have guessed, you have to start the puzzle
over.

Wind Trickster: The Wind Trickster will blow in your direction if you are
horizontally or vertically aligned with it. This blowing will move you in that
direction. Note that if you hold down the key that moves you in the opposite
direction of where the Wind Trickster is trying to blow you (for example, if
one tries to blow you to the right and you hold down the left arrow key) you
will not move towards it, but you will stay in place.

Abominable Snowman: The Abominable Snowman is a special enemy. It is not an
animal, as it can walk onto the Snow. It is not a Trickster, as it doesn't
have the word "Trickster" in it and it can move. It belongs in a class of its
own, but there's no point in a category for just one enemy so I put it in
tricksters as it strikes from a distance like them and can hurt you while
you're on the Snow. In terms of movement, the Abominable Snowman behaves
exactly like a Wolf. It will also throw snowballs at you. If you get hit by
one, you'll be dazed and will stumble around for a short amount of time. If
you throw a fish at one of its snowballs, it will stop the snowball. Note that
being next to an Abominable Snowman does not restart the puzzle, but it will
be able to easily hit you with snowballs.

Items:

Letter Tablets: These are the goal in each level. You're given a word and must
pick up the Letter Tablets in the correct order of spelling (for example, if
the word is "THE", you'd have to pick up the T, then the H, then the E, in
that order). You walk over them to pick them up.

Mackerel (or Fish): If you walk over these, you'll pick them up. Press the
space bar to throw one in the direction you're facing. If one hits an animal
that can be affected by it, that animal is considered "bribed" for 10 seconds
and its behavior will be changed depending on the animal. Bribing animals with
Mackerel is cumulative; if you hit an animal with two, it will be bribed for
20 seconds.

Ice Block: If you push an Ice Block in a direction, it'll continue in that
direction until it hits something. If an Ice Block is pushed into the water,
you can walk onto it to move through the river. Ice Blocks can also be used as
shields.

Snowball: You can push these up, down, left, or right. They can be used as
shields. If you push it into the river, it will be a temporary bridge until it
sinks completely.

(NOTE: The next five items listed are "potions". All potions last 10 seconds
once taken. You take them by walking over them)

Time Stop: This potion will temporarily stop time (well, what did you think?)

Walk Over Water: This potion lets you walk over water.

Fire Ball Protection: This protects you from the attacks of the Fire
Trickster.

Dart Protection: This protects you against the attacks of the Dart Trickster.

Wind Protection: This makes it so that the Wind Trickster can't blow you
around.

Trinket: You'll find these every 10 levels. You do not need to get them to win
the game, they are merely put there as a challenge.

Raft: You start each level on this. When you exit the raft, it starts to move
back to where it was at the beginning of the screen, and then leaves the
screen. You can actually go back onto it before that, and it will pause when
you get back on it in that case. At the end of each puzzle, you have to get
back to the raft, which will reappear where it was at the beginning.

V. Walkthrough

This is the meat of the guide. Explanations on how to solve each level are
given.

LEVEL 1: PASTIME

Simple. Just pick up the letters in order.

LEVEL 2: INNOCENT

Go to the left and pick up all the Mackerel. Pick up the first five letters
and then bribe the Killer Whale to cross the river. Then pick up the remaining
three letters.

LEVEL 3: MISSPELL

Grab the first three letters and as much Mackerel as you can get. Bribe the
Killer Whale to cross the river and get all the letters and Mackerel there.
Bribe the Killer Whale to get back to the other side and then grab the
remaining letters.

LEVEL 4: LEAGUE

The first five letters are easy to get as long as you avoid the Moose. The
last is a bit trickier. Wait for the Moose to go downward, then follow it and
go to the left.

LEVEL 5: ACHE

Go north quickly and avoid the Abominable Snowman's snowballs. Push the
Snowball to the right and cross over it to get the letters. Use the Moose for
"protection" against the Abominable Snowman. Push the second Snowball into the
river to reach the Raft.

LEVEL 6: CANCEL

Go north quickly again. Actually, all you have to do is press up until you
reach the top. Now go to the right and grab the rest of the letters. The
Abominable Snowman will throw snowballs, but he's just an annoyance--no real
threat. Push the lower Snowball into the river to get back to the Raft.

LEVEL 7: USUALLY

Begin by going upward and grabbing the first three letters, along with the
Mackerel. It's easy to navigate the ice here. Now use the Ice Block to cross
the River. Here's how you get the next two letters off the ice: Go to the
right. You'll stop on the snow; go right again, then up, then left, then up
again. Bribe the Killer Whale so you can reach the other "L" (if you're fast,
you won't even need to bribe it twice), then return for the "Y". Now just go
down on the ice, then move to the right, and then go up to get the Y.

LEVEL 8: SCHEDULE

Get the S first (obviously). Now get the "C" and back off quickly. When the
Moose comes next to you and turns away, follow it quickly and then move
downward to grab the H, then upward to get the Mackerel. Push the Snowball in
front of the Wind Trickster so you can get the E. The rest of the letters are
self-explanatory.

LEVEL 9: PROCEED

Start by going to the right. Push the Ice Block into the water and move down,
then left, then down. Get the P and move up to get the R, then go back and get
the O. Use the Snowball as a bridge and get the C. Push the other Ice Block
into the water and go upwards with it, then grab the E and the Mackerel. Go
back down, and then go up to get the other two Mackerels. Quickly grab the
other E and run away. Now go back up, bribe the Polar Bear, and while he's
bribed get the D.

LEVEL 10: ENORMOUS

This is the first level with a Trinket, and I'll explain how to get it. But
first, get the E and N. Use the Ice Block to get up to the O, but time it so
that the Moose doesn't get you (you're safe on the Snow). Go over and push the
upper grounded Ice Block to the right to get the R. Now for the tough part.
Push the middle Ice Block downward. It'll stop when it hits the lower Ice
Block. Now push it to the right and ride it to get the M. Get the remaining O.
Get the Mackerel and bribe the Polar Bear. Push it to the right and slide down
through the Ice to get the Trinket, then slide back. When the Moose is on the
left side, quickly go to the right and head back down using the Ice Block and
get the U and S.

LEVEL 11: MARRIAGE

When you're vertically aligned with the R, move up and until you're
horizontally aligned with the M. Move left and get it, then walk to the left
onto the snow (don't worry, you're safe from the Wolf). Move up and get the A,
and then get the R. Use the Ice Block to cross the River to more letters.
However, you'll notice you can't get the G. Once you need the G, head back
over the Ice Block, and this time push the Snowball upward and cross over it.
Get the G, and then move upward. The Ice and Wind Trickster will bring you to
the last letter. Now push over the Snowball to use as a Bridge so you can
return to the Raft.

LEVEL 12: SPEECH

Go to the left and QUICKLY run down, and then to the left to grab the S. When
the left Moose is below you, run up and push the Snowball to the right to use
it as a bridge. Get the next three letters, then return for the C. Go down so
you're beneath the Polar Bear and bribe it, then grab the H. Push the
remaining Snowball to make a bridge over the water so you can get to the Raft.

LEVEL 13: RECEIVE

Note: Although the hint at the bottom of the screen states "I before E except
after a C", the full version is "I before E except after a C, or in sounding
like "ay" as in neighbor or weigh". If you want, you can add this to it: "But
sometimes the spelling is at the height of weird, just like height or weird".
But back to the puzzle...

Move to the right until you're vertically aligned with the R, then move upward
(don't move right!) to get it. Now go back down without moving right or left.
You'll notice one of the Wolves will move downward. Move all the way to the
left, and then up. Block the Moose with the Snowball and then get the E and C.
Move upward when the Moose is safely to the right. The Wind Trickster will
push you to the right, so go up quickly. When the coast is clear, go down onto
the snow between the Stone Walls. Go down and quickly to the right, then down
again. Move left and the Polar Bear will go away. Now go back to where you
were before. Push the Ice Block into the river to the left, go onto it, go
down, go back up again (the Wind Trickster will have pushed you to the left)
and go to the left on the Ice Block. Before you hit the Ice, the Wind
Trickster will blow you upward. Go to the left until you're above the Ice,
then move downwards. When you reach the bottom, grab the E and return to the
Raft.

LEVEL 14: ACCUSE

This level is actually quite easy. You don't even need to move any of the Ice
Blocks to block the Fire Trickster, as the letters are not within its range.
Indeed, as long as you stay far enough away, you don't need to block it at
all.

LEVEL 15: AMATEUR

Move upward and then push the Ice Block that's to your immediate right to the
right and push the one to your left to the left. Grab the A and go downward,
then push that Ice Block to the right. Get the M. Right to the right on the
Ice Block. Go up and get the A (no need to bribe the Polar Bear), then head
back to the left. Go back to the beginning and go to the right over the Ice
Block (you'll be just above the T). Pick the T up and go back to the left.
Now, there are two Ice Blocks on land to the right of the R. Push the lower
one of them to the right and go onto it. Press up, then right to get the E,
then press Left and grab the U. Now go down, left, then down again and get the
R. Then let's go back to the Raft.

LEVEL 16: WRITTEN

Grab the upper of the two Mackerel that are to your left and run back. Get the
lower Mackerel next. Bribe the Polar Bear from afar and rush onto the Snow
that's on the left side of the screen (you'll be vertically aligned with the
W). Bribe the Polar Bear that's above the W and grab it, and then get the
Mackerel that's next to it. Go back to the Snow on the left side of the
screen. When you're on the top of it, walk all the way to the right to get the
R, and then get the I. Cross the bridge with the Snowball and get another
Mackerel. The Polar Bear will try to come towards you, but you're safe on the
grass. Bribe it and get the T. Now quickly go to the right side of the screen
and move upward to get more Mackerel. Bribe the two Polar Bears around the E
and get it. Get the remaining Mackerel and bribe the Polar Bear that's next to
the N, then get the N. Now return to the Raft.

LEVEL 17: TRAGEDY

Go to the left and go upwards. Get the T and cross the River with the
Snowball. Pick up the Walk Over Water potion and quickly run downwards,
picking up the R. Get the A by bribing the Polar Bear, then push it to the
right and go past it. The next three letters are easy to get and I don't need
to explain how. Head back down and bribe the Polar Bear again so you can move
him out of the way to get the Y. Then use the remaining Snowballs to get back
to the Raft.

LEVEL 18: HUNGRY

Go left and move upward. You'll end up in the upper-left corner of the screen
(well, as close to that corner as you can get, anyway). Go right, then down.
Use the snowball to cross the River and get the U. Push the Ice Block to the
right to block the Dart Trickster and get the N. Get the G WITHOUT crossing
into where the Dart Trickster can get you. Then use the Moose (or Penguin, if
it's there) for cover to cross the Dart Trickster. Push the Snowball all the
way down so that you can safely get the R. Go back up and once again use the
Moose as cover, and then get the Y. Move the Snowball to the bottom of the
screen and push it to the right, and use it as a bridge to get to the Raft.

LEVEL 19: VEHICLE

As you may have guessed, walk to the right and get the Mackerel, and then the
V and E. Push the left-most Snowball upward, then cross it and push the
Snowball on your left side to the left (into the water), then cross THAT to
push the next Snowball to the left and cross it. Grab the H and Mackerel. Now
go to the left, then downward to get the I. Use the Snow as protection against
the Wolf. Now head all the way up to get the Mackerel. When a Killer Whale
comes by, bribe it and use it as a "bridge" to cross the river, then head
right to get the C. Run downward to get the L (you can try to use the Moose as
a shield against the Abominable Snowman). Now go back up and get the E. Now go
all the way downward again (this time with no obstacles!) to get back to the
Raft.

LEVEL 20: ANTIDOTE

This is the second Trinket level, but it's not much harder to get the Trinket
this time around. Head to the left. To get by the N, ride the Ice Block
upward. Then get off and get the A, then N. But for the T, make sure you ride
the Ice Block to the right to get THAT T (not the bottom one). Get the
Mackerel while you're there, then, using the Ice Block, go up, right, then up
again and get the I. Step a little into the Polar Bear's "lair" and then step
back. Bribe it and push it to the right, grab the Mackerel and run downward.
Get the D and then "hide" in the space to the left of the D. When the Moose is
heading towards the bottom, go back to the right and run upwards to get the O.
Go onto the Snow that's to the left and head as far down as you can on that
Snow. When the Moose is at the top, run down and push the Snowball to the
left. Now, you can get the T and E right now, but if you want the Trinket,
bribe the Killer Whale and ride it onto the island where the Trinket is. Bribe
it again before heading back to be safe, then ride it back to where you were
before. Now get the last two letters and head back to the Raft.

LEVEL 21: OCCASION

Get the O. The Walrus is probably following you at this point, so head back to
the beginning to lose it. Wait for it to head more to the right, then quickly
run back and get the C and Mackerel. Use the Snowball to cross to the top part
to get the next three letters. If the Walrus becomes a pest, either bribe it
to freeze it or just get far enough away from it for it to leave. When the
Walrus is on the UPPER part of the River, cross to the bottom part of the
level with the Ice Block and get the rest of the letters. Then it's back to
the Raft!

LEVEL 22: VITAMIN

Use the Ice path to get the V. Move the upper Snowball downward until it's
horizontally level with the Dart Trickster. Then from its left side push it to
the right until it's next to it. Now get the left I. Push the other Snowball
to the left and then up. Now push the lower Ice Block all the way to the
right, then all the way up. Because the Dart Trickster can now only hurt you
if you're north of it, you're free to collect the remaining letters. You will
have to take the long way around the Dart Trickster a few times to get the
letters, though.

LEVEL 23: GORGEOUS

Start by going to the right and getting the upper G, and then either of the
O's. Now go and get the R (ignore the upper Mackerel for now). If the Walrus
gives you any trouble, go back to the beginning to shake him off. Push the Ice
Block to the left to get the next G. Feed the Killer Whale to get to the
island where the E is. Pick up the E but DO NOT use the Snowball to get back.
Instead, bribe the Killer Whale again to get back to the "mainland" and get
the remaining O. Go up the top to get the U and Mackerel. Bribe the Killer
Whale again to ride it over to the S, then use the Snowballs as bridges to
return to the Raft.

LEVEL 24: ATTITUDE

I don't know if you can get the right set of the letters, but you can get the
left! Push the Ice Block down, then quickly run to the left and then downward
so you're vertically aligned with the left set of letters.. Time your downward
movements carefully so that the Ice Block protects you from the Dart
Tricksters. Then head back to the Raft when you're done.

LEVEL 25: PREFER

As you may have guessed, go to the right and pick up the P. Use the Snowball
as a bridge and get to the left. Grab the upper R and then get the E. Remember
the Abominable Snowman cannot shoot its snowballs through walls. Use the Moose
for protection if necessary. Get the left F and then use the Ice Block to get
the E and R. If the Walrus causes trouble, bribe it to immobilize it.

LEVEL 26: EXTREME

As long as you're careful around the Glacial Crevasses, you should have no
trouble getting all of the letters.

LEVEL 27: THEORY

Start off by going to the right. As long as you're careful, you should have no
problem getting the first five letters. After getting the "R", get above the
upper Snowball and push it downward. When it is half-obscuring the lower Fire
Trickster's right side, stop pushing it. In case you didn't understand that,
here's another way to explain it: Put the Snowball between the square to the
upper-right of the lower Fire Trickster and the square to the right of it.
Note that while it's in this position, it cannot fire fireballs to the right
or the upper-right direction. Push the other Snowball into the river and cross
it to get the Y, then return to the Raft.

LEVEL 28: NAIVE

Begin by going up and pushing the Snowball to the right and crossing it. Use
the Ice Block to go upward, then push the other Ice Block into the water to
cross the water. Push the Ice Block that's now in front of you downward to
block the Dart Trickster, then use the Snowball as a bridge. Go upward and
grab the potion, then quickly grab the letters in order before the potion
wears off.

LEVEL 29: IGNORANT

Go to the left and get the I, then push the Ice Block upward into the water
and ride it to get to the G. Push the Snowball to the right, into the Water
but DON'T CROSS IT because by this time the Wolf will be there. Instead, go
onto the square where the Snowball used to be, and go to the left from there
to ride the Ice Block. Then ride the Ice Block downward and then to the right.
Move down and then to the right. The Wind Trickster will blow you upwards as
you go right, so you'll end up on the N. Move to the right until you're on the
square beneath the "Snow patch", then go upwards and quickly run to the right,
the get the O. The Wind Trickster will blow you downwards. Push the Snowball
down and then all the way to the left. Head downwards and quickly get the R
and then run back before the Polar Bear gets you. Get the A and then get the N
and T by sliding on the Ice.

LEVEL 30: CUSTOMER

The third Trinket level. This Trinket will take a little luck. Head to the
left and push the Ice Block into the water WHEN THE KILLER WHALE IS ON ITS
RIGHT SIDE. Get the C and the Mackerel. If you don't want the Trinket, ignore
this next bit. Go upwards and slide to the right on the Ice. When you're on
the stretch of ice that leads to the Trinket, hold down left to ensure that as
soon as you get to the Trinket you'll leave. If you're lucky, the Penguin will
be obscuring the Dart Trickster when you get the Trinket. If you're unlucky,
you'll get hit and will have to start the puzzle over. You can try to get past
the Moose to get to the upper letters, but it's easier to just push the
Snowball that's vertically aligned with the Ice Block upwards and use it as a
bridge. Whichever way you choose, get the next six letters. Bribe the Killer
Whale and slide over to the R, then return to the Raft.

LEVEL 31: RECRUIT

This puzzle is a joke on the meaning. Get it? Recruit? You have to recruit the
Killer Whales to get through this puzzle. Well, anyway.

A warning: Be careful, because you have to hit the Killer Whales exactly. At
the start, go to the left and get the Mackerel and R. Bribe a Killer Whale and
QUICKLY get to the top to get the E and another Mackerel. Bribe another Killer
Whale. On your way to the C, stop by the Island with the Mackerel to grab it,
then proceed to the C. You'll have to be quick on this one. Bribe yet another
Killer Whale (after getting the C and Mackerel) to get down to the R. Bribe
another to get back to where you started the level. Use the Snowball as a
bridge to get to the Ice Block, and head north on the Ice Block to get the U
and Mackerel. Bribe another Killer Whale to get to the I. Man, you're bribing
a lot...be careful or you might get in political trouble! Sorry. Back to the
puzzle. Once you've gotten an I, bribe a Killer Whale (you have to be exact,
as you can't move around to move it) to ride to the T, and then head back to
the Raft.

LEVEL 32: DESERT

If you'll notice, the trees form a llama. Get it? Llama? Desert? Er, back to
the puzzle.

Go left and pick up the Mackerel and use it to bribe the Polar Bear so you can
get the D. Push the Ice Block to the north and ride it. Now go to the left,
grab the Mackerel, and ride the Ice Block upward to get the E. Ride it back
down to the start and bribe the Polar Bear to get the S. Use the Snowball as a
bridge to get the remaining letters.

LEVEL 33: SWEAT

Go to the left and then go all the way up. The Wind Trickster will blow you to
the S. Slide to the right to get the Mackerel and the W and E. Bribe the
Killer Whale to cross the river and reach the other two letters.

LEVEL 34: BARGAIN

Grab the Mackerel and return to the bottom of the screen. Bribe the Killer
Whale and ride it onto the Ice to get the B and more Mackerel. Get the A and R
and block the Polar Bear in with the Snowball (or you could just bribe him,
but a Snowball's easier). Get the letters around the Polar Bear and return to
the Ice. Feed the Killer Whale again to get back to the last two letters to
pick them up.

LEVEL 35: VETERAN

Move to the right, but before putting yourself in the Wolf's sight move
downwards, THEN move over to the right. Move all the way up to get the V. Push
the Snowball that's to the lower right of the Dart Trickster half a square to
the right and then get the E. Go over to get the T. To pass the Moose, do
this: When the left Moose is moving upwards, follow it and when you can, move
to the right lane. When the left Moose goes back down, go back to the left and
head upward. Before you get the E and R, move all the way to the top and then
move to the left so that you positional yourself vertically with them. Now
move downward to get them. You need to do this so that the Wolf doesn't get
closer. Now go back to the top and move to the left, towards the Wolf. When
you're just above the A, move down to pick it up and run quickly to the right.
Now move downwards until you're at the bottom part of the upper Snow. The Wolf
at this point is at your left. When the right-most Moose is above you, quickly
run to the right and down. You'll have both the Wolf and the Moose chasing
you, but it doesn't matter, because you'll get the N and they'll disappear,
allowing you to go back to the Raft.

LEVEL 36: DINING

Hate to point it out again, but...look at the formations of the stone walls.
They make a Fork and a Knife! Get it? Fork and Knife? Dining? Hey, the water
is in the shape of a spoon!

Okay, the puzzle. Get the D and the Mackerel. Go to grab the I and bribe the
Polar Bear when it comes toward you. Now we need to trap the Wolf. Go up until
you're on the square to the upper-left of the Ice Block. DO NOT TOUCH THE ICE
BLOCK YET. Move one square towards the Wolf and then one square away (putting
you back where you were). Now go one square down, push the Ice Block to the
right, and then move downward. The Wolf will follow you downward, and the Ice
Block will trap it. Now that we have the annoying Wolf out of the way, grab
the upper N and I. Go back and bribe the Polar Bear again. Get the potion and
QUICKLY run over to the N, grab it, and get back before it wears off. Now get
the G and the puzzle is done.

LEVEL 37: VALUABLE

Move upward as far as you can without getting into the Fire Trickster's range.
Move one square to the right and then up. Now go and get the V. We might as
well get the lower A first. Go over and get it, but the second you grab it the
Wolf will start to chase you. Run back to the Snow. Once you reach the Snow,
you're safe. Get the lower L and push the Ice Block downwards. Get to its left
and run downwards. When you're one square horizontally below the Dart
Trickster, stop and wait for the Ice Block to be next to you. When it is, push
it to the right so it blocks the Dart Trickster. The rest of the level is
self-explanatory, but make sure you use the same technique to pass the Fire
Tricksters.

LEVEL 38: APPROVAL

This can be a tricky one, so I'll outline exactly what to do. Go one square to
the right, then one square down. Press right, then up. Press down, then left,
then get the P. Go to the right until you reach the patch of Snow, then go
downwards. DO NOT GET THE R YET! Press up, then go all the way to the left. Go
one square down, then press right, then press down. Press right, down, left,
down, and left in that order. Go down a square and push the Snowball to the
right. Go as far as you can to the left, then go one square up and press
right. Now press down, then right, then down again. Now push the Snowball to
the left and cross it. Go left and then up (don't go on the Ice yet). NOW
slide to the left on the Ice and then upward. Get the O. We need to be careful
here or the Wolf will get too close. When you're horizontally with the A, move
one square to the right and then all the way up. Go all the way back down,
then to the right. One square to the left and then go all the way up to get
the L. Phew!

LEVEL 39: DECENT

Move to the left to get the D and then push the Ice Block downward. Get the E,
C, E, and N and then head back out. Push the Ice Block into the water and go
onto it. Now go upwards and you'll slide off. Get to the left side of the Ice
Block and ride it to the right, and then move upward. Move the Snowball one
square upward and then get to the right side of the screen. Go upwards and
push the Snowball into the water to use as a bridge. Get the T and use the
Snowball as a bridge to get back to the Raft.

LEVEL 40: PLEASANT

The fourth Trinket level. Go to the right and get the P. Run quickly to get
the lower of the two Mackerel. Stay there until the Killer Whale comes by and
bribe it to ride to the lower mass of land. Get an L, E, and A and two
Mackerel (you'll have to move quickly to get the Mackerel that's near the
Moose. Bribe the Killer Whale to get to the S and the Mackerel. Bribe it
again. And here's the way to get the Trinket: When you're on the Killer Whale,
get to the left of the Ice Block and push it to the right. Get beneath it and
use it as a shield against the Fire Trickster as you move to the right. It
will come to a stop when it hits the Snowball, blocking the Dart Trickster's
southern side. Go to underneath the Snowball and push it up one space to get
the Trinket. Get the Mackerel and A, then bribe the Killer Whale yet again to
get to the N. Bribe it one last time to get to the T.

LEVEL 41: OCCUR

A simple, self-explanatory level. Pick up the letters in order, but be careful
of the Moose. Note that at the beginning you'll have to duck behind the C.

LEVEL 42: VICTIM

Be careful, or you'll be the VICTIM of the Dart Trickster! Uh...yeah. Man, I
need to think up some better jokes.

This is going to be a tricky one. Put yourself horizontally aligned with the M
and as far and just to the left of the Stone Wall. Here's what you need to do.
Move up one square, move right half a square, move up one more square, move
right half a square, and then move up one more square. You do, of course, need
to do that very quickly. At this point you're horizontally aligned with the C.
Move to the right and run upwards as fast as you can. Now run back down. Get
yourself below the I, then run up and run back down to get it. Get the C and
then get above the T. Run down here, all the way to the bottom of the screen.
Push the Snowball up so it's obscuring the lower-right side of the Fire
Trickster. Get yourself vertically aligned with the E and run up to the square
just beneath it. Get the I, get yourself vertically aligned with the E again,
then run back down. Go left and then back up to get the M.

LEVEL 43: GENIUS

Push the Snowball to the left and let it slide until it reaches the Stone
Wall. Slide over to the G from the Snow patch. Slide over to the right-most
Snow patch and slide down to the E, but make sure you time it so the Moose
doesn't get you. Slide back up to the Snow and slide over to the left-most
Snow patch. Press down to push the Snowball down, then press up to return to
the Snow Patch. Slide upwards and then slide to the right. Get to the
right-most Snow patch and slide to the middle Snow patch, and then slide
downward to the N. Now slide back up to the middle Snow patch. Go all the way
to the right, then go down until you're level with the I, then walk left and
grab it, then slide all the way upwards. Now slide all the way left to get the
U, but quickly go back to the right before the Dart Trickster gets you. Slide
back to the middle Snow patch, and slide downward. Slide to the left and get
the S. Now slide back right and return to the Raft.

LEVEL 44: LATER

This is a tricky level because of the Abominable Snowman. It may be the
hardest level to cover (not to do, to cover). But, here's a path through it.

Go one square right and one square down. Move half a square to the right but
immediately comes back. As soon as the Abominable Snowman's snowball hits the
wall, walk three squares to the right. This should position the Abominable
Snowman beneath the X. Now move upward four spaces and then move three spaces
to the right. Now move one space up and move to the right until you reach the
L. Move four squares down and one left. Move two squares down and then move
left as far as you can. Now get the A. Now go back to the right and position
yourself underneath the R. The Abominable Snowman should be between the X and
M. Move one square towards the Abominable Snowman. Get above the R (take the
path on its right side) then move up until you're next to the M. Move one
space left. Now press down twice. Move one square right, then one square down.
Move three squares to the right and then go all the way down until you're next
to the Ice Block. Push it to the left and let it slide. While it's sliding,
move back to the square you were on before pushing it and move two squares up,
then one square left. Move one square right and then move up to the top of the
screen. Move three squares left and one square down. Move two squares left and
four down. Move three squares left, two down, one left, and then four down.
Congratulations! You have managed to go through this without the Abominable
Snowman hitting you or getting too close to you! Now slide over the Ice Block
to get the T and then go up to get the E. Push the Ice Block over to the right
and ride it. Go one square up, two right, one down, three right, one down, two
right, two down, and three to the left. Now just move downward and get the R.
The Abominable Snowman may be right next to you, but you'll still get the R!

LEVEL 45: YACHT

Go to the left and go directly upwards until you're horizontally aligned with
the Wolf. Walk one and a half squares towards it. The Wolf will start chasing
you now. Quickly go half a square back and run upwards. Run over to the Y and
then run downwards. If you did this right, the Wolf should be "trapped" by the
Snow and is no longer a problem. Grab the A and C, then push the Ice Block
downward and ride it downward. Now go to the right, then up, then right, then
down and get the H. Get back on the Ice Block and ride it to the top of the
screen, then get off of it and grab the T.

LEVEL 46: PURSUE

The instant you get off the Raft the Wolf will start chasing you. Get it?
Pursue? Um, anyway. Run upwards until you're horizontally aligned with the
Mackerel, then go to the right onto the Snow Patch. Now run up one space, one
space to the right, then one space up, then run over to the right and get the
P. If you timed this right the Wolf will be blocking the Trickster attacks.
Run around the Snow to get the U. Get the Mackerel and then take the same
route you did before (that is, where the P was). This time around get the R
and run all the way to the left, pushing the Snowball into the river and
running over it. In case that wasn't clear, I'll go through my infamous
"step-by-step" walkthrough. At the beginning, go two squares to the right and
two squares up, then one square right. Now go one up, one right, one up, and
run all the way to the right side of the screen. Go all the way up and go left
three spaces. Go down a space and go left three spaces. Go down two, right
two, down one, and then all the way to the right again. Go up three spaces and
then run as far as you can to the left (this includes pushing over the
Snowball). Okay, so that's that so far. By this time you'll have gotten the
first four letters. Go downward and be to the left of the Polar Bear. Bribe
it, then run underneath it. You should be underneath the Snowball. Push it
four spaces upward and then one to the left. You'll pick up the Mackerel while
doing so. Get the U and bribe the Polar Bear again. Again, go underneath it
while it's bribed and get the E. Use the Snowball as a bridge over the river
to get back to the Raft.

LEVEL 47: BUSINESS

Begin by going one square to the left and getting the Mackerel. The Polar Bear
will notice you and position itself above you. Run two squares left, two
squares up, and then all the way to the left. Now go up one square and go one
square to the right. At this point the Polar Bear that ordinarily is next to
the Ice Block will be to your right. If it's already back where it started,
you'll have to lure it back and bribe it. Anyway, if it's on the square to
your right, bribe it. Go one square up and run right quickly. Two of the Polar
Bears will chase you but you'll be far enough ahead. Once you've pushed the
Ice Block into the water, pick up the B and U. Now it's time to get that
Mackerel! This part takes careful timing. You need to bring the Ice Block down
when the Penguin is on that patch of Land near the lower-right corner of the
screen. If you've timed it correctly, you'll trap the Penguin there and thus
you will not slide onto it. If you didn't time it correctly, just try again.
Now head to the left and grab all the Mackerel. Go upwards with the Ice Block
and then get on its right side and ride the Ice Block to the left. Two of the
Polar Bears will notice you here. Bribe the lower one and head to the bottom
of the screen. Bribe the Polar Bear at the bottom of the screen and push him
to the left and grab one of the S's. Now go all the way back to the right and
go two spaces up. This should return you to where you started the level. Do
the same thing you did then. When the Polar Bear is one space above you, go
two spaces left, two spaces up, and then run all the way to the left. Now head
up and get the I. You'll be on a patch of Snow and will be just to the left of
the Z. Go half a square to the right and throw a Mackerel at the Polar Bear to
bribe it. Go underneath the Z and then run upward so you're just beneath the
N. The highest Polar Bear will notice you and will position itself above the
N. Bribe it and grab the N, then walk onto the E and push the Polar Bear one
space down and run over to the Right. You're almost done! Stay on the Snow and
walk down so you're one space above the Ice Block. Ride it down and then go to
the left on it. Bribe the lowest Polar Bear one last time and push it to the
left, then get the last two S's.

LEVEL 48: ADVICE

Head over to the right and get the two Mackerel. Now position yourself below
the A. Wait for the Killer Whale to come by you and bribe it. Use it as a
bridge to get to the A, and then quickly use it to get to the upper block of
land. When you get off the Killer Whale, make sure it's facing to the right or
else its path might be changed to just go around the island that has the Stone
Wall on it. Once you get off the Killer Whale, get the D. To get the V, you'll
have to be more careful. Get to the square on the lower-right to the V. Wait
there until the Walrus notices you and comes out. It's now blocking the Dart
Trickster! Grab the V and then continue upward. Now get the C. Get to the
highest level of the screen and then head to the left. It's the square on the
highest point of the screen that's on the right side of the river. Wait for
the Killer Whale to come, then bribe it and use it as a "bridge" to get the E.

LEVEL 49: OBSTACLE

Push the left-most of the Ice Blocks upward into the water. Now push the other
one to the right and ride it. It'll slide you over to the Ice Block next to it
and you'll travel right. Now head up the river to get the Mackerel. Get back
on the Ice Block and return to the beginning. The Ice Block at this point
should be two squares down and two squares to the right of the Polar Bear.
Take the middle Ice Block and right it to the right. Once again, you'll slide
onto the next Ice Block. On it, go up, left, and down. Go to the left-most Ice
Block and ride it to the right, then down. Go to its left side and ride it to
the right. Yet AGAIN you'll slide across the Ice Blocks. Again, go up, left,
and down. You'll notice that you now have an Ice Block "bridge" that will get
you to the Polar Bear. Slide across the Ice Block and get in front of the
Polar Bear. Feed it and push it up two squares and get the O. Go over and grab
the B. Take care that you don't let the Wolf (which should be three spaces up
from the M) notice you. Get to the left side of the Ice Block and push it to
the right so that it will slide and trap the Wolf. With the Wolf neutralized,
the rest of the puzzle is easy.

LEVEL 50: MENTION

Go up and grab the M. Now go left and then slide down. When the right two
Moose are on the downward side, quickly go to the left, run up, and if
necessary duck into the space between the Fir Trees and wait for the Moose to
go by. Grab the E. When the Moose are on their way down, follow them and duck
into the space between the Fir Trees that are next to the N and T. Now grab
the N and T. Get the I. To get the O, walk over to the Snow that's above the
Ice in the downward-left corner. Without stepping on the Ice, pick up the O
and head back. Oh, darn it, I forgot to mention this is the fifth Trinket
level, didn't I? Sorry. Anyway go back to about where the E was and bribe the
Polar Bear. You need to time this correctly with the movement of the Moose.
Bribe it, then quickly run above it and push it as far down as you can. When
the Bribe wears off, it will be "stuck" on the Snow. Now slide on the Ice to
get the Trinket. Slide back and get the N. I don't need to tell you to be
careful of the Moose, right? In case you have a little trouble getting back to
the Raft, align yourself horizontally with the lower part of the higher line
of Fig Trees (it's the just to the right of the upper Crevasse). Slide to the
right towards it, then down. Now head back to the Raft.

LEVEL 51: FLEXIBLE

Grab the Mackerel and push the Ice Block into the water and ride it to the F.
Now ride it back. What you need to do here is move the Ice Block so that it
will be stopped by the Penguin when it is on the space where the F was. There
are two ways to do this. One is to throw a Mackerel at the Penguin when it is
at that spot to bribe it. You only get one chance at this, but try it anyway.
The other way (which is a back-up) is to attempt to ride the Ice Block across
so that it will be stopped by the Penguin when the Penguin is there. Anyway,
once you've done that, head to the left and get the L. Now slide upwards.
Here's the tough part. Slide to the right when the Moose is near you. If you
timed it right, the Moose will be behind you during your slide, so the Wind
Tricksters will not push you into its path. Grab the E when you reach the end
and slide downward. Grab the X. The I will be tricky. Go to the square
underneath the Ice Block. When both Moose are out of the way, run over and
grab the E. The Wind Trickster will blow you to the top of the screen. Quickly
run to the right and slide downward so you're safe. Now do what you did near
the beginning of the puzzle, with using the top Moose to stop the Wind
Tricksters from blowing you to the top. Slide downward yet again. Well, the
hardest part is done. Go to the square to the lower-left of the Ice Block and,
when the lower Moose is heading to the left, slide upward (but only so much
that you're on the lower Moose's path). Go to the right and push the Ice Block
down, and run downward after it until you're aligned with the B. The Wind
Tricksters will now blow you onto it. Move upward until you're just beneath
the lower patch of Ice and move to the right until you're vertically aligned
with the Ice Block. Run downward and you'll get the L as the Wind Tricksters
blow you to the left. Now just go downward and when you reach the bottom of
the screen, walk over and get the E. Slide to the top of the screen and head
as far right as you can. Slide down, right, and down again. Now go to the
right and downward to push the Snowball into the water. Walk onto it and push
the other Snowball to the right, then walk over it. Now get back to the Raft.

LEVEL 52: GROCERY

Go all the way to the right and then head upward. Push the Ice Block into the
water. Go downward on the Ice Block. Go upward again when the Penguins are
near the R so they'll stop the Ice Block. Get the R, then go back on the Ice
Block and go downward again. This time go to the left and get the O. Now go
back to the right. When a Penguin is on the space that's to the upper-right of
the C, go upwards and it'll stop you. Leave the Ice Block to get the C. Get
back on it, go down, then left. When you're vertically aligned with the Fire
Trickster, go one square to the left and head upward until you're horizontally
aligned with the E. When a Penguin is to the lower-left of the Fire Trickster,
run left to get the E. Now go up and get the R. Again, wait for a Penguin to
be to the lower-left of the Fire Trickster before running through the space
where the E was. Go to the right on the Ice Block. Forget about the Y on the
left and head upward on the Ice Block. Now go to the right and pick up the Y.

LEVEL 53: SIMILAR

The Abominable Snowman makes it harder to provide a concrete walkthrough of
this level, but I'll try to explain how to do it anyway, in my usual
very-boring way.

Slide to the right and move into the Moose's path and go upward. Slide to the
S and slide over to the Snowball, then slide downward. When the Moose is
moving downward, slide to the right and then quickly run down until you can
slide to the right again and reach the other strip of Land ("Land" being not
Ice). Go downward and then slide over to the I. Go all the way to the top and
push the Snowball into the water to use it as a bridge. Once you slide onto
the strip of land, slide back to the right and slide down to get the M and all
that Mackerel. Face left as you slide so you can throw your Mackerel at the
Abominable Snowman's snowball, then slide back up. If you miss the snowball,
you'll stumble around, but should hopefully be able to slide back up when the
dizziness passes (the real danger there is that you'll accidentally pick up
the A). Once you're back up there, slide left and get the I, then slide back.
Slide down the same way you did when you picked up the M and Mackerel. Make
sure you're facing left while sliding. When the Abominable Snowman throws a
snowball at you, throw a Mackerel at it to get rid of it, then go left a space
and run to the bottom of the screen, then get the L. Go to the right until
you're vertically aligned with the A, then quickly run up. Once you get the A,
return to the bottom of the screen. Put yourself on the square that's to the
lower-left of the Snowball. Go half a square up and then run back down. The
Abominable Snowman will throw a snowball but it will miss. Now go back up and
push the Snowball to the right and cross the river. Then grab the R and you've
finished this level.

LEVEL 54: AUTUMN

Start by getting the A. Head over to the right and pick up the Mackerel. The
Abominable Snowman will throw a snowball at you, so just throw a Mackerel at
it to get rid of it, then go to the right. Once there, the Abominable Snowman
should be nothing more than a nuisance. Get the next two letters and Mackerel,
then bribe the Killer Whale to get to the next two letters. Now return to the
"mainland" and get the final letter.

LEVEL 55: MACHINE

The Walruses can make this puzzle a real headache. The best advice I can give
is to try to stay away from them and not get trapped. If worst comes to worst
and they get you trapped, just restart the puzzle. Begin by heading left and
grabbing the Mackerel. Push the upper Ice Block to the right and ride it over
to the other side. Grab the M and A. Push the Snowballs upward to make bridges
so you can cross the river (you can get the Mackerel if you want). Get the H
and I. Push the first Snowball out of the way and then use the second to cross
the river. Push the other Ice Block over to the right and you'll end up next
to the Snowball. Go upward to get the N, then go back down and you'll get the
E. Use the Snowball as a bridge to get back to the Raft.

LEVEL 56: QUIET

Go down and grab the Mackerel, then go back up to get the Q (the placement of
the upper Mackerel prevents the Walrus from interfering with you as you do
this). Now head over to the Snowball and push it to the left and use it as a
bridge. If the right Walrus prevents you, get it at the top of the screen,
bribe it, and then push the Snowball into the water (I didn't have to bribe
it, though). Get the U and the I and another Mackerel. Bribe the Killer Whale
to get the E, then bribe it again to the T. Now just get back to the Raft.

LEVEL 57: SYLLABLE

Begin by pushing the Ice Block downward and run downward after it (keep going
downward or you'll be blown to the A prematurely). Get to the left side of the
Wind Trickster that's next to the Ice Block. It'll blow you to the left, but
that's fine because you were going that way anyway. Now just hold the up
button until you're at the top of the screen. Move above the S and move down
onto it. Go downward and get the Y. Let the "Ice Block" Wind Trickster blow
you to the left again. This time go up but head left when you get your first
chance. The Ice and Wind Trickster will move you over to the L. Now move to
the right and the Wind Tricksters and Ice will once again move you there. Now
just go upward and get the A. Slide downward (you can't go to the left with
the Wind Trickster blowing you to the right) and then slide over to the left.
Go down a space and get the B. Once again go to the left of the "Ice Block"
Wind Trickster and (as you did when you got the S) keep holding down the up
key until you reach the top of the screen. Now just go down (the Stone Wall is
blocking the lowest Wind Trickster from blowing on you) and then to the right
to get the E.

LEVEL 58: BEGGAR

Go to the left and push the third-highest Snowball to the left. Position it
using the "double-shield" trick so that it prevents the Fire Trickster from
hitting you downwards or downwards-right diagonally and then grab the B. Go
and get the E next. Now get to the left of the second-highest of the group of
Snowballs and push it all the way to the right and use it as a bridge. Push
the next Snowball to the right until it's on the square to the upper-left of
the Dart Trickster, then get above it and push it down. Now that the Dart
Trickster's left side is covered, get the lower G. Go up and get the three
Mackerels, then push the Snowball one space down, and then push it as far
right as it can go. Now the Dart Trickster is completely harmless! Anyway,
there are three Snowballs above the Dart Trickster. Push the right-most of
them as far up as you can go, then go around it and the Wind Trickster to get
the G. Head back down and get underneath the middle of the three Snowballs.
Push it two spaces up and then push it to the left and use it as a bridge, and
get the Mackerel to its left. Now for the tricky part. Go upwards and face
left. The Wind Trickster will push you to the left. When the Abominable
Snowman throws a snowball at you, throw a Mackerel to stop it. When the Polar
Bear comes at you, quickly throw a Mackerel to bribe it, and then push it to
the left (by this time you'll have gotten the A). Now go upwards and to the
left to get the R. You'll probably get hit by a snowball or two while doing
so, but it won't really matter.

LEVEL 59: ARCTIC

Bribe the first Polar Bear you encounter with a Mackerel, then grab the
Mackerel near it. Before you do anything else, get the rest of the Mackerel
that's near the bottom of the "land mass"; none of the are within range of the
Polar Bears. Now bribe the two Polar Bears that are next to the upper Ice
Block. Run up to the Ice Block and push it into the water, then go onto it.
Head to the left and then get the A. Now ride the Ice Block down. Bribe the
lowest Polar Bear and get the R that's next to it. Now go back to the Ice
Block and be on the right side of it and ride it to the left. The Polar Bear
to your left will notice you and walk towards you. Fortunately, it will block
you so you can go downwards on the Ice Block. After that, go to the left and
you'll get the C. Get the T and go to the left side of the left Ice Block.
Ride it over to the right and you'll slide onto the other Ice Block. Now ride
it upwards. The Polar Bear will come next to you, so bribe it and push it to
the left and get the I. Go back to the patch of Snow you were on when you
bribed the Polar Bear, then go downwards on the Ice Block. Next, once again go
to the left, which will cause you to switch Ice Blocks. Now just run up and
grab the C. Two Polar Bears may come at you, but you'll get to the C before
they can get to you!

LEVEL 60: IMITATE

You can try to get the Trinket anytime through the puzzle, so let's do that
first. First get the two Mackerel. Now go over to the Snowball that's next to
the T. Push it over into the water, then push over the next one. While on the
second, face up and bribe the Polar Bear, then head left. Go upward and the
Wolf will follow you. Keep going upward until you're at the top of the screen.
Now, press up a few times (I know you won't move upward, but it makes the Wolf
go upward). The Wolf will start to chase you, so run quickly to the right.
From the left-most part of the Snow (right next to where the Wolf is), do
this: Go two spaces right, two down, and two to the left. The Polar Bear will
now be beneath you. Bribe it and then quickly push it to the left. Run down
and grab the Mackerel, then go back to the left and throw it at the Polar Bear
to bribe it again. Go back down and get the Trinket. Now run back up and go to
the right of the still-bribed Polar Bear and run back up to the Snow. Push the
right of the two Snowballs into the water, then push the other two spaces to
the left and then one down, then cross it. From here, the first five letters
are easy to get, so get them. Now get below the right-most Snowball and push
it upward and into the water, and then push the next Snowball two squares
upward, then go around it to get the T. Wait for the Walrus to approach you.
When it's to the left of you, push the Snowball downward and cross it. Now get
the E and the puzzle is done. Oh, and it's a bit late to say it, but this is
the sixth Trinket level.

LEVEL 61: TONGUE

Begin by heading to the right (you can get the Mackerel if you want, but I
didn't find it necessary). Slide over to the right and then down to get the T.
Now ride the Ice Block to the top, then go to the right to get the O. Ride the
Ice Block back down. Get to its right side and ride it to the left (you won't
fall into the Crevasse because the Snow will protect you). Now go back beneath
the Ice Block and ride it upwards. You'll notice the two Ice Blocks are now
adjacent. Ride the lower of the two to the left and get the N, then ride it
back. Get above the upper of the two Ice Blocks and go downward. You'll slide
onto the second Ice Block and reach the bottom of the screen. Go left and push
the Snowball into the water, quickly run over it to get the G, then quickly
run back. Go up and get the U, then ride the Ice Block back upward. Now ride
the lower of the two Ice Blocks to the left. There are two Ice Blocks to the
right of you; ride the right one down and get the E. Now use the Snowball as a
bridge to get back to the Raft.

LEVEL 62: LOSE

You know, while it's nice that this game teaches you to spell words, it would
be nice if they somehow integrated when you're supposed to USE the words. Far
too many people get "loose" mixed up with "lose"; might as well waste your
time and explain it. "Loose" is the opposite of tight and is an adjective, NOT
a verb (furthermore, if you call someone a "looser" the only loser is you, as
"looser" just means something is more loose than something else). Lose is the
verb and it means a variety of things, such as to have something and then no
longer have it, or to have someone defeat you at something. Okay, grammar
lesson done, let's move on to the puzzle.

Begin by sliding to the right. When you first come to a stop, head up and then
go to the left. Get yourself vertically aligned with the L and go one space to
the left. Now slide downward and to the left. Ride the Ice Block upward and
pick up the two Mackerel, then ride it back down. Go onto the Snow to its
right and slide up. DO NOT PRESS RIGHT. Wait for the Killer Whale to come and
bribe it. Ride it over to the right to where the L is and you'll slide to the
right. Head up and then to the left, then go upwards with the Ice Block to get
another Mackerel. Wait for the Killer Whale to come by (it being at the top of
the screen may be the best time to do it) and bribe it. Quickly ride it to the
left, get the O, and then get over to the S. Wait for the bribe to wear off,
and when the Killer Whale is on the lower part of the screen bribe it again
and ride it down to the lowest Ice Block. Once there, head right, up, and
slide all the way to the right and then get the E. Head back up and slide left
to get back to the Raft.

LEVEL 63: VISIBLE

You can't get to the left, so head right. Before getting the potion, push the
Snowball up one space. Now get the potion, push the Snowball to the left, and
quickly run to the left to get the V. Wait for the potion to wear off, then
head downward. Between your running and the Wind Tricksters blowing, you'll
pick up the next three letters. Push the Snowball to the left, go underneath
the Wind Tricksters, and push the Ice Block up. While it's going up, get to
its left side and walk up with it, shielding you from the Wind Tricksters. Get
the B in this way. After getting the B, you don't really have to pace yourself
with it anymore, so just go upward and get the L and wait for the Ice Block to
come to a rest below the C. Now go upwards and to the right. You'll be blown
upwards, but that's fine. Just go to the right and get the E and you're done.

LEVEL 64: PREPARE

This is actually a very simple level, though it may not look like it at first.
Push the left Snowball all the way to the left. Push the Snowball above you up
a space, then push the Snowball to the left of the P down a space. Get the P,
then go to the right of the Snowball that's to the right of the R (you will
not need to push any Snowballs to do this). Push the Snowball below you down a
space, then go over and get the R. Get the E. To get the P go to the space
that's two spaces to the right and one above the P and push the left Snowball
one space. Get the P. Go to the left side of the screen and push the upper
left-most Snowball upward and get the A. There should be a Snowball nine
spaces to the left of the R. Go to the right of the Snowball and push it to
the right and use it as a bridge. Get the R. When the Moose is below you,
quickly head to the left and then up to get the E.

LEVEL 65: OPPONENT

Go to the left and grab the O and all the Mackerel. Push the Snowball to the
right and cross it, then head upward. The Abominable Snowman will throw a
snowball at you, so counteract it with a fish and go upward. If the Abominable
Snowman starts chasing you, restart the puzzle. If you did this right and he
hasn't started chasing you, push the lower Snowball to the right until it's
above the "gap" in the Stone Wall, then push it down two spaces to trap the
Abominable Snowman. Now push the upper Snowball to the left and use it as a
bridge to go onto the Ice Block, then get the P. Ride the Ice Block upward to
get the other P. Wait for the Walrus to go to the right of the Ice Block, then
slide onto it and go down. Head for the land to the right of the Tree to get
it to leave. Once the Walrus is safely to the right (or rather, on its way to
the right, as the Ice Block goes at the same speed as the Walrus), go back up
and then go to the right again. The Walrus will notice you but should be below
your Ice Block, so no worries. Get the O and go back to the Ice Block. The
Walrus will fortunately prevent you from sliding downward. Now go back to the
left. Wait for the Walrus to get to the left of the Ice Block, then go back on
it and slide downward. Get the N and slide over to the right. Now slide
downward on the Ice Block, go to the right, and get the E and N. Now go to the
space underneath the Ice Block and ride the Ice Block upward, then go to the
right and get the T.

LEVEL 66: ACCIDENT

Be careful, or you'll have an...ACCIDENT in this puzzle! Get it? Accident?
Uh...Okay, it's official. I have GOT to think up better jokes.

Go to the right and get the A, then go up and get the C. Push the Ice Block up
and get onto it. The Wind Trickster will blow it (and you) to the left. Get
the other C and push the Snowball to the right and use it as a bridge. You'll
want to get the I next, but be careful. Make sure you're horizontally one line
below it, as the bottom Wind Trickster will blow you upward. After you get the
I, go one space down and go back to the left. Again, you'll be moved up, which
is why you had to go downward. Now get to the bottom of the screen and run
right. Once you've cleared the first Wind Trickster, stop and go up a space.
Now run right again and you'll be blown to the D. But wait! You're trapped! Or
are you? Go to the lower-right corner of the screen and go half a space to the
left. Here you're actually save from the Wind Tricksters. Go up two spaces and
run right. Once you've cleared the lowest Wind Trickster (be sure that you're
just above it when you run by to make sure you don't get blown into a
crevasse) and get the E. Now go to the right side of the Snowball and push it
into the river and cross it. Now go up and get the last two letters.

LEVEL 67: SUMMER

Go left and get the Mackerel, then go upwards when the Moose isn't in your
way. Get to the left of the Moose and time your movement upward with it so
that the Dart Trickster won't get you. Get the upper two Mackerels and the S.
You have to be careful to get the U. Push the Snowball two spaces left and
three down. Move it down two more spaces when the Moose is next to you (facing
downward) so the Dart Trickster won't get you. Be sure you don't push it into
the water! Now push the Snowball to the left so it will obscure the Dart
Trickster's southern side, then get the U. Rather than using the Moose as
cover again to get back up, bribe the Killer Whale and go to the right to the
right part of the land. Get the M and two Mackerel. Bribe the Killer Whale
again and go to the left land. If you land beneath the Dart Trickster, you'll
have to (again) use the Moose as cover to get up. From the upper part of the
left side of the land, bribe the Killer Whale and use it to cross to the right
side. Slide downward and bribe the Polar Bear TWICE on your way down, then
quickly push it downward (the Dart Trickster will be shooting at you, after
all, get the Mackerel, side over to the left to get the M, then slide up to
get the other Mackerel, but DON'T slide up from it. Slide back down and then
go to the left again, then run back up to the upper-right corner of the
screen. Bribe the Killer Whale again to get to the left mass of land, and then
(from underneath the E) bribe it again to ride it downward. Get the M, bribe
it yet again to get to get back up, then get the last two letters.

LEVEL 68: CANOE

Go to the left and push the Snowball five spaces left and pick up the
Mackerel. Bribe the Polar Bear with it and get the C, then push the Snowball
over to the right and cross it. When the Moose is blocking the Wind Trickster,
run up and then go left to get the A. Now go upward. Remembering that the Wind
Tricksters will be blowing you to the left, run up and cross one of the middle
two Ice Blocks to get the N, then run back and get the O. Return again to the
top. Go to the left next to the Snowball and slide downward, then go to its
left side. You'll be blown by the Wind Tricksters over to the side of the
screen where E is. Grab it, then push the lower Snowball to the left and use
as a bridge to get back to the Raft.

LEVEL 69: MIRROR

Head left and grab two Mackerel. When a Killer Whale comes by, bribe it and
ride it downward to get the M. Wait for another Killer Whale to come by (on
the right side of where you are), bribe it, and ride it up to get to the I.
Push the Ice Block over to the right, then go down on it, then to the right.
Once there, get the right-most R and go left. Make sure that there is at least
one Killer Whale on the right side of the screen before you do this (if you
already did, head back right and wait for some Killer Whales to come. It's
best if you do it while on is around the bottom M). Anyway, now go downward on
the Ice Block and get the Mackerel. Standing on the patch of Snow that's near
the Mackerel, bribe a Killer Whale. Ride it to get the R, then the O, and then
return to where you were when you first bribed it. Go upwards on the Ice
Block. Now for the tricky part. You need to go to the right on the Ice Block
but time it so that a Penguin or Killer Whale will stop you so you can go up
from the Ice Block to get the R. This will probably take several attempts.
Anyway, once successful, get the R. To get back to the Raft, push the Snowball
to the left and cross it, then go down and to the left and push the next
Snowball to the left and cross it. Go down and push the last Snowball to the
right and go up from it to the Raft.

LEVEL 70: DISCUSS

The seventh Trinket level. Anyway, get the two Mackerel, the D, and the I. Use
the Penguin as cover against the Dart Trickster to get the left S. After
getting the S, push the Snowball all the way down and go back to the left and
get the C. Bribe the Killer Whale to let you go upward. Get the Mackerel and
U. Get the Wolf to chase you in clockwise direction around the upper-right
corner of the screen to trap it there. Ignore the S at the bottom of the
screen for now and bribe the Killer Whale again to ride it over to the S near
the top of the screen. Grab the Mackerel and the S and bribe the Killer Whale
again. Go to the right of the Snowball near the Dart Trickster and push it to
the left so it blocks the Dart Trickster upward. Get back on the Killer Whale
and ride above the Snowball to get the Trinket. Bribe the Killer Whale one
more time to get over to the right-most "land mass". As the Wolf is trapped in
the upper-right corner, go down and get the S. Push the Snowball two spaces to
the right and then push it down into the river. Cross it and then get back to
the Raft.

LEVEL 71: EXCEED

Begin by going to the left. You'll notice a "tree square" just to the right of
the crevasse (it's two squares up and one to the left of the D). Get just
above it and go upwards. You'll slide upward on the Ice but stop just short of
the crevasse because of the small patch of snow there. Go to the right and
then down to get the Mackerel. Bribe the Killer Whale and use it to cross the
river. Get the two letters there and the two Mackerel. Bribe the Killer Whale
again and cross the river. Go onto the square just above the D and go directly
upward until you hit the "tree square". Slide to the left, then down, then
left, then up, and then right to get the C. Now slide left, down, right, and
up to get the E. Bribe the Polar Bear and then get the other E and slide over
to the right on the highest part of the Ice. Slide downward. You'll be next to
that patch of ice that stopped you from falling into the crevasse at the
beginning. Go onto that patch and slide downward, then go down and get the D.
Then it's back to the Raft!

LEVEL 72: RELIEF

You head right at the beginning, obviously, collecting the Mackerel. Throw it
at the Killer Whale to bribe it, then ride the Killer Whale to the right, to
the area that's "between" the two Snowballs (the lowest land point you can
enter on the left side of the river). Push the lower Snowball down and then
proceed to the left, grabbing the R. Push the nearby Snowball as far upwards
as you can go, then head left and grab the Mackerel. Head back to the right
and bribe the Polar Bear when it comes at you. You have to do this part
quickly. Push the Snowball that's above where the Polar Bear usually is upward
as high as you can (so it's aligned with the Dart Trickster) then head back
down until you're aligned with the E, then run left and grab it and the
Mackerel. There are two nearby Snowballs. Push the upper Snowball up one
square so that it is next to the L. Then push the lower Snowball down two
squares and head right. Bribe the Polar Bear again, then go upwards and slide
left to get the L. Push the adjacent Snowball to the left and it will slide
and block the Fire Trickster, making it harmless. You are now where the
Snowball was before you pushed it. Slide upwards and then head left and get
the I; you are protected from the Dart Trickster and Fire Trickster by the
Snowballs you placed earlier. Head back to the right, push the Snowball
aligned with the Dart Trickster as far as you can to the right without pushing
it into the water, then head upwards and grab the E. Go back left, slide
across the ice, then go upwards (pushing the Snowball above the Fire Trickster
so that you can proceed in that direction). Head right and push the lower of
the two Snowballs to the right (well, you can't push the upper one anyway) and
get the F. Now head left again, go down and slide to the right across the ice.
Then go downwards, then right, and push down the Snowball. Push it to the
right, into the river, and cross it quickly, and then go back to the Raft.

LEVEL 73: POSSESS

Begin by heading left and getting the P and all the Mackerel. Now, we could
use a Snowball to block the lowest Dark Trickster to grab the O, but that
would be a waste. Instead, time your movements with the lower Moose so you can
grab the O without getting hit by the Dart Trickster. Now take the left-most
Snowball and move it onto the "snow patch" that's two squares right of the
lowest Dart Trickster (in other words, move it one square left and three
squares upward). Now go over and get yourself vertically aligned with the
right-most S on the left "land mass" and run all the way to the top without
stopping, collecting the S on the way. At a time when the Moose won't be in
the way, run all the way downwards. Okay, now move the left-most of the lower
Snowballs one square to the left and then four squares up WHILE THE UPPER
MOOSE IS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF IT. Right after the Moose hits the Snowball and
goes back to the right, quickly push it up one square, get to its right, and
then push it all the way to the left. You will be protected form the Dart
Trickster's attacks by the Moose. There is now an S above you. Go up one
square, grab it, then go down one square to where you just were before the
Dart Trickster hits you. Head two squares right and then run down again. Go
over to the right-most Snowball and push it one square to the left, then get
below it and quickly push it up six spaces so that you're horizontally aligned
with the right-most S when you stop. Move to the Snowball's left side and push
it as far to the right as you can without pushing it into the water. Now run
all the way up and grab the E. Then go one square to the left and run all the
way back down again. Phew! But you're still not done yet. There's one Snowball
left at the bottom part of the level, so push it one square to the left and
six spaces upward (it will be horizontally aligned with the highest Snowball
when you are done). Go on its right side, push it three spaces to the left,
then one upwards and grab the adjacent S. Almost done! Get yourself
horizontally aligned with the remaining S, then bribe the Killer Whale and
ride it over to that S. Then head downward and back to the Raft!

LEVEL 74: PECULIAR

Begin by going right. Head upwards, bypassing the Snowball entirely (don't
move it) and slide to the top. Slide right, then go down and slide left to the
P. Slide down, then right, then go down and grab the E, again without moving
the Snowball. Push the Snowball to the left and cross it. You'll slide to the
left, so when the Snowball disappears slide right, then downward. Actually,
you can push the Snowball down and cross at the bottom of the screen instead,
but this is the way I'm covering it. After you slide down, head left and grab
the C. Go to the bottom of the screen, then head left and grab the U, but be
sure not to go too far or the Dart Trickster will hit you. Go to the right
side of the Snowballs and push the upper one three spaces to the left, then
three upward, then one left, then two upward, and then push it all the way
left so it blocks the Dart Trickster. Then head upward and get the L, then
slide over to the right. The rest is easy, but I'll cover it anyway. After you
finish sliding to the right, slide down, then right, then down again, then
right again, then down yet again, then head to the right, onto the Raft.

LEVEL 75: VILLAIN

Obviously, go right and slide onto the V. Continue right, then head upward. DO
NOT PICK UP THE I YET. Instead, slide upward again and then to the left to
grab the Mackerel. Slide more left and push the Snowball into the water, and
quickly grab the Mackerel on the other side before returning. Bribe the Killer
Whale and ride it downwards to the left part of the middle island that has the
Mackerel (enter through the left edge, not the lower one). Go down, grabbing
the Mackerel as you go. Head right and grab the I. Now head back down and
bribe the Killer Whale, then quickly ride it to the left and get the two L's
and the Mackerel. The bribe will have now worn off so bribe it again, then
head back the same way you got the I. Bribe the middle Killer Whale and
quickly grab the A and Mackerel before heading back down. Bribe the lower
Killer Whale and use it as a "bridge" so you can access the ice at the bottom
of the screen. From here you can easily grab the I and then the N, then head
back to the Raft.

LEVEL 76: WEALTH

Okay, I'm not too fond of this level, because it has the rather annoying
having-to-use-the-Whale/Penguin-to-stop-your-movement-while-on-the-Ice-Block.
Oh well, it's in the game, might as well cover it...

To begin with, head left and grab the Mackerel. Bribe the Killer Whale and
travel to the W. Bribe it again and head up to get the E, then bribe it one
last time and head downwards to the place with the Ice Block and H (don't get
the H, of course, just to the place where it is) Now for the annoying part.
You have to go upwards on the Ice Block right when the Penguin is on the upper
land mass directly above you. If you do this correctly, you will be on the Ice
Block facing upward and next to the land, but not on it. If you fail and end
up on the land, head downwards on the Ice Block and try again. Anyway, once
you succeed, head right and grab the A. Now head left on the Ice Block but
time it so that you'll hit the Killer Whale or Penguin so you can get to the
land mass where the L is. If you fail, you can try again by heading right and
trying to hit one of them. If you fail again, you can try again by heading
left. Keep going until you succeed, then head upwards and grab the L. Now head
downwards on the Ice Block and again time it so that you are stopped by the
Killer Whale or Penguin before the Ice Block moves downward. Head right, then
move below where the Ice Block is and ride it upward, then left. Ride the
other Ice Block to the left and then go up and grab the T, then ride it down
and then right to return. Get back on the Ice Block you've been using for this
puzzle and head right, then down. Now you have to head left on the Ice Block
and as always hit the Penguin or Killer Whale. You need to time it so that
where you stop you can go downward and grab the H. Once you manage to do that,
grab the H, then push the Snowball all the way to the left, and while doing so
you'll get back on the Raft.

LEVEL 77: GRAMMAR

Begin by heading to the right, obviously. The first four letters are very easy
to get, just be careful of the Dart Trickster for the G and the upper R if you
go for it (doesn't matter which R you get first). For the second M, push the
lower Snowball to the left and cross it. Then after getting the M push the
other Snowball to the right and cross it. Okay, now go and get the Time Stop
potion, then push the remaining Snowball into the water to the left and grab
the A, then run back. Now get the remaining R and you're done.

LEVEL 78: HIDEOUS

Begin by moving the Snowballs upward so that they block the Fire Tricksters
from firing towards the center of the screen (in other words, to the right one
can't fire downward-left and the left one can't fire downward-right). The
Snowballs will actually have about half of themselves covering the Glacial
Crevasses. Head all the way to the left, go upwards and then grab the H, then
head all the way left and go down. Go up and grab the I; the Snowballs will
protect you from the Fire Trickster's diagonal attacks, just be sure to stay
vertically aligned with the I so the Fire Trickster's horizontal attacks don't
hit you. Get the D using the same technique you used for the I (in other
words, go all the way to the right, then go up and grab the D, then go back to
the right and go downwards). Now head back upwards and grab the highest E.
Head back down, get the O, then head back up and get the upper U, then finally
head back down again and get the S.

LEVEL 79: BALANCE

Although the B is to the right, begin by heading left. Grab the Mackerel
without getting hit by the Dart Trickster, then go upwards and push the Ice
Block into the river. Cross it, then go downwards. When you get to the Wind
Tricksters, say on the left side of the land and go as far down as you can.
When you reach the bottom (you're stopped by the Stone Wall), head right and
you'll be blown upward. The middle Wind Trickster will push you a little to
the left, so move to the right again to get the B. Cross the Ice Block again
and head downwards and grab the lower A. Cross the Ice Block again and go
towards the Polar Bear and bribe it when it comes at you. Push it all the way
to the right, then grab the L and push the Snowball up one space, rendering
the Polar Bear harmless. Cross the Ice Block yet again and get the other A,
then head back and get the N. Cross the Ice Block AGAIN and push the Snowball
so it's above the C so you can get it without getting hit by the Dart
Trickster. Then get the E and you're done.

LEVEL 80: ACCURATE

This is the eighth Trinket level. It's quite easy normally, but if your goal
is to get the Trinket it's going to be tricky.

Start off by going up. Push the Snowball upward and grab the A, then head
right. Get yourself on the space below the U and then push the adjacent
Snowball two spaces right, then one up. Get the upper C, then push one of the
lower two Snowballs down to get the other C. The next three letters are easy
to get. Once you've gotten the second A, push the Snowball above it until it's
next to the T, then push it one space east. If you just want to complete the
puzzle, push the Snowball to the right and grab the E. But if you want the
Trinket, grab the Mackerel instead, then head down and push the Snowball
that's next to the water into the water and cross it. Head right and push the
Snowball you encounter one space right, then push it all the way left. Here
you have to be quick. Cross it, go one space down, then run left into the
corner. Once you're there the Polar Bears will return to their home spaces.
Face the right one and bribe it, then face the other one and bribe it. Quickly
push the second Polar Bear one square up, then push it to the right until it's
adjacent to the Stone Wall. Then push it upward onto the snow as high as you
can. It will become "trapped" and unable to move. Grab the remaining Mackerel.
Now for the tough part. From the space with the mackerel, move one space down
and one space left so that the space with the Stone Wall is all that separates
you from the remaining Polar Bear. Move one space left and then run right.
Your timing must be perfect here; if you move too quickly the Polar Bear won't
follow you enough and if you move too late it'll get you. Now, the Polar Bear
is chasing you to the right. Once you reach the Stone Wall head one space up,
into the snow. Face downward and throw the Mackerel at the Polar Bear when it
reaches the space below you to bribe it. Push it out of the way if necessary,
then quickly run through the path it was blocking to reach the Trinket. Push
the Snowball to the right, then grab the E.

LEVEL 81: USAGE

Head left and quickly grab the U, then get back on the Raft and use it as a
bridge to go downward. Incredibly, this is the only level to use this
technique. Ah well. Anyway, go over and grab the S and the Mackerel. The
Abominable Snowman will notice you. Go back down until you're horizontally
aligned with the lower Snowball, then walk towards the Abominable Snowman
(yes, you won't walk anywhere, but it will walk towards you). Once it's moved
as close to you as it can go, go downward. The Abominable Snowman will now be
"trapped" and no longer a threat. Push the Ice Block into the water and ride
it to the left. When the Wind Trickster blows you upward, head right and then
go down to the bottom of the screen to get the A. The G is easy to grab. To
get the E, get on the right side of the Moose while it's heading to the left
and run right. Once you're vertically aligned with the Stone Wall, head
upwards until you're horizontally aligned with the E, then run right and grab
it. The Abominable Snowman may hit you with a snowball, but once you recover
from it you can grab the E.

LEVEL 82: FAMILIAR

Head left and then go downward, then run left past the Dart Tricksters. Move
the Snowball upward so it blocks the left Dart Trickster, then go to the left
of the Ice Block. Get above it and go to the right as it moves and time your
movements so that it protects you from the Dart Tricksters. Doing this you'll
get the first three letters. Now cross it to get to the other side of the
river. Don't bother with the upper Ice Block, instead slide downward and push
the lower one to the right, and like before time your movements to grab the
next four letters, though this time you have to be even more careful because
the Ice Block moves slower than you, so be sure not to get ahead of it! Once
you've gotten them, slide down, then right, and then up to get the R. To get
back to the Raft, slide left afterwards, then go downward until you reach the
patch of land between the ice. There are two groups of trees that are
vertically aligned with each other that are to the right of the river. Slide
down onto the upper tree section of the one that's to the right, then slide to
the left to reach the Raft. In case that isn't clear, have yourself be above
the second-highest tree patch that's on the right side of the river, slide
downward and hit it, then slide left onto the Raft.

LEVEL 83: CERTAIN

This level has very little room for error. Begin by going to the right and
getting the C and Mackerel. Bribe the Killer Whale to get to the other side of
the river and get the E. Bribe it again, ride it to quickly grab the R, and
then return and get the T. Bribe the Killer Whale again and ride it up to get
the A and Mackerel, then get back on it and use it to cross to the right side
of the river. Head down, grab the I, then bribe the Killer Whale one last time
to cross the river, then grab the N and then return to the Raft.

LEVEL 84: DESCRIBE

Note: When solving this puzzle try your very hardest to not interfere with the
Penguin's course; after it hits the Killer Whale at the beginning it will move
in a fashion that will make it much easier to solve this puzzle. So stay out
of its way!

Head right and grab all the Mackerel. Bribe the Killer Whale and ride it over
to the D, then grab either E (I recommend the lower one because it makes
getting the B later on slightly easier as there are more spaces to land the
Killer Whale where you can get it). Bribe the Killer Whale and grab the S,
then ride it over to the upper land mass; if you're quick you can do this with
one Mackerel, but you may need to use two. Run past the Dart Trickster and
grab the upper Mackerel. Now, to get the C you need the Penguin blocking the
Dart Trickster. To accomplish this you have to bribe the Penguin. If you've
left the Penguin alone, it's easy; while it's heading towards the Trickster
bribe it, then quickly run over (pushing the Penguin if necessary) and grab
the C before running back and getting the R. If you interfered with the
Penguin, this may be tougher but is probably still possible. Bribe the Killer
Whale with the rest of your Mackerel to get the I, then the B and final E.

LEVEL 85: ENVELOPE

Tough one. At the beginning, head left, and QUICKLY run up and get the
Mackerel. The instant you do, QUICKLY head one space left and then go down as
far as you can. If you do this quickly enough, you won't disrupt the Penguin
and it will go next to you and then go upward. Once it does, go upward after
it. This will trap it. Bribe it with the Mackerel and push it up two spaces so
it's next to the Dart Trickster. Now, get the E, but make sure you don't
attract the attention of the Wolf before you do so. Once you get it, the Wolf
will notice you, so go one square down, then go to the right until you're just
under the N. Go up and get the N, then head back downward and use the Snowball
to cross over to the lower land mass and get the V. Now you need to trap the
Wolf. Go over to the right of the upper Snowballs and push it two spaces to
the right so it blocks the Polar Bear. Go one space left and then either go
forward or away from the Wolf (it's true you're not actually moving towards or
away from it, but your feet will move so it will go towards you). Now the Wolf
is no longer a problem. Get the lower E and nearby Mackerel, then push the
lower of the Snowballs as far as you can left, then push it upward to get the
L. You'll come right next to the Wolf, but because you're on the Snow you'll
be fine. Get the O, then bribe the Killer Whale to cross back to the lower
land mass and get the P. Now, get to the right side of the Snowball and push
it to the left. The Polar Bear will follow you, but soon lose interest and
return to its home space. One it does, stop pushing the Snowball and go back
and bribe it. When it's bribed, push it out of the way if necessary, then grab
the final E.

LEVEL 86: REALLY

Push the Ice Block to the left as you get off the Raft. Push the nearby
Snowball upward and cross it, then push the Snowball above that one into the
water, quickly grab the nearby Mackerel, and then cross the Snowball. Get the
Mackerel that's near you, then push the remaining Snowball into the river and
cross it. Bribe the Killer Whale to cross over to the lower section of the
right land mass. Then push the Snowball to the right and then down in order to
grab the R and Mackerel. Go to the square that's just to the lower right of
the E and stay there, then bribe the Killer Whale when it comes by. Quickly
grab the E, then head back and go upwards to get the A. You can push the
Snowball downward and cross it or go back to the right, then go back down to
the section where the R was, it doesn't matter as long as you bribe the Killer
Whale and use it to cross to the left land section and grab the lower L. After
that, go up and grab the upper L when the Walrus isn't nearby it. Don't worry
about the Fire Trickster, the Wolf will actually protect you from it! After
that, just head back down and grab the Y.

LEVEL 87: MEANT

Oh, dear. This is a bit of a "messy" puzzle. That is, there is no simple,
"clean" solution. If only either the Wolf or the Walrus wasn't in this puzzle,
it wouldn't be so annoying. Well, here we go...

Head left and push the Snowball upward. Wait for the Walrus to exit the top
part of the screen (wait until its second attempt, it will hit the Killer
Whale on its first and head back) and then push the Ice Block upward. Ride it
upward, then ride it back down. Get onto the Ice Block from its left side
(grabbing the potion as you do). You'll slide over to the right until you hit
the tree. Now slide down, then to the right. You'll come onto the land. Now go
directly upward and onto the upper-right corner of the screen to position the
Wolf into a place where it will not be an immediate threat later on. When the
Walrus is out of the way (on the upper part of the screen) head left on the
Ice Block, then once you run aground head right and the Wind Trickster will
blow you downwards. After you hit ground, head two spaces left and one upward
to get the M. Now for the tough part. You need to go down a space, then right
a space, then run away from the Wolf as it chases you and "trap" it on the
upper side of the snow. In case that isn't clear, here's exactly what to do:
After you get the M, go one space down and one space right. Run two spaces
left, three spaces upward, two spaces left, and then one space down. You
should now be on the snow with the Wolf one space above you. Okay. Now go
downwards and go to the bottom of the Ice Block. This part is hard. When the
Whale is above the Ice Block moving upward, immediately go upward on the Ice
Block and hold down up. When the Killer Whale no longer blocks the Wind
Trickster, you'll stay in place because of the fact you're holding down the
key. Let it go and immediately go left to get the E. The Ice Block should be
half next to the tree on the right, and half next to the snow below that tree.
Now, lure the Wolf to the upper part of its land mass by moving downward
towards it (well, not moving, but pressing the down key to make the Wolf move)
and then head right and get back on the Ice Block. If you did this correctly,
the Wolf will be just to the left of the Snowball when you get on the Ice
Block. The Wind Trickster will blow you downward. Now you have to trap the
Wolf again, but on the other side of the snow! Make sure the Walrus is nowhere
near the left side of the land mass you're on, then head three spaces left
after getting off the Ice Block. Head one square upward, then run to the left
two spaces and go up. Now you're on the snow like before, but the Wolf is
below you. Go and grab the A, then push the Snowball to the right and cross it
and get the N. We're almost done! Go back to the upper-right corner of the
screen, then walk left. Once the Wolf starts noticing you, walk two spaces
left and then walk away or towards the Wolf; as always, you don't actually
move anywhere, but this gets the Wolf to go towards you. Once the Wolf is as
high as it can go, go back to the right and head down. Get to the space just
below the Ice Block; the Wolf is now trapped and will no longer be a problem.
You now need to execute the same "use the Killer Whale to block the Wind
Trickster" technique as before. If the Walrus gets near you while you're
waiting for the Killer Whale, just go the left until it loses interest, then
return to space below the Ice Block. Anyway, once you've gone upward on the
Ice Block after the Killer Whale heads upward and blocks the Wind Trickster,
get off to the left. Go upward and let the Wind Trickster blow you to the
left, then go over and grab the T to finish the puzzle.

LEVEL 88: SOURCE

Ah, a refreshing change of pace from the previous level. Head right and get
the Mackerel and then push the Snowball all the way to the right. Ride the Ice
Block to the left, and then upward. Get the S and the Mackerel, then ride the
Ice Block back down. Bribe the Polar Bear, push it upward, then grab the O and
head back down before the bribe wears off. Now go back to the Ice Block and
ride it upward. Make sure the Killer Whale is NOT in the patch of water that's
beneath the Ice Block, then ride the Ice Block to the right, then up, then
right, then up again (but make sure the Killer Whale is somewhere to the LEFT
of the Ice Block when you go upward) and then go left. Get off the Ice block
and get the U, then push the Snowball into the water, cross it and QUICKLY run
down and get the R, then QUICKLY run back cross it to where you were before.
You'll barely make it if you do it quick enough. Ride the Ice Block upward,
then left, then down. Now, if you've been keeping the Killer Whale in the
correct places like I've been telling you to, you can bribe it and use it to
reach the C. After you get the C, push the Snowball upward and cross it (or
just ride the Killer Whale there if you've got enough time left on it). Go
back to the Ice Block and ride it upward, then to the right. Push the Snowball
to the right and cross it, then get the E, then go back to the Raft.

LEVEL 89: CHIEF

Head right and get the C. The Wolf will be following you by now, so walk away
from it; I don't know why I keep mentioning this, but you won't actually move,
just hold down the left arrow key. Now go down and get yourself adjacent with
the H, then quickly run over and grab it. Now for the I. This part is tricky.
Head over to "corner" of the trees to the right (two spaces down and one to
the right); the Fire Trickster will begin firing at you, but you're out of its
range. Walk away from the upper Wolf. When you reach the Stone Wall, head one
space left and then move downward to make the upper Wolf go down ONE space.
Now head right and align yourself with the I. Go upward until the Fire
Trickster starts shooting at you. Take one step (in other words, move half a
space) towards the upper Wolf and then one step away. Now run up and get the
I. The Wolf will mimic you and protect you from the Dart Trickster. Now let's
trap the Wolves. After you get the I, head straight down until you reach the
Stone Wall. Head left and stop just before you fall in the Crevasse. Press the
down button five times to make the upper Wolf come towards you. Now head over
to the right until you're just above the "solitary" Stone Wall. Go up until
you're horizontally aligned with the upper Wolf, then go one space towards it.
Go back to the space you were before, then run down until you reach the
"solitary" Stone Wall again. Now go one space right and then one space upward
to lure the lower Wolf upward. Go three spaces up, then two left. Go down one
space and then back up again. Now we've got the first Wolf trapped. Head one
space left to attract the attention of the second Wolf, then go one space
right and one down so you're back on the snow. Both Wolves will be directly
behind you, and are now not a problem. Go up and then go over to grab the
potion. Be sure you keep moving when you grab it so the Dart Trickster doesn't
get you. Run over and get the E, then go back and get the F and the puzzle is
done.

LEVEL 90: BREATHE

It's the second-to-last trinket level. We're almost done! But this level is
tricky to do, and even harder to explain, or at least the beginning is. Well,
here goes. Yes, this is going to be a somewhat boring read, but it's the best
way to explain how to do this. Go up two spaces, then left one (you will be
pushing the Snowball when you move left). Go up one, then left two. Go down
two, left one, down one, then right two. You'll notice that below you there is
a "diagonal" that has six Snowballs in it. Push all of them except for the
bottom one into the Crevasses. Now, you see the Snowball that is one space
left and two spaces down from the A? Push it down two spaces and then right
two spaces, then cross it. Get the B. Push the Snowball that is to the right
of where the B was to the right, into the Crevasse, then grab the R. Get the
E, which only requires you to move a Snowball up a little to reach it. Now for
the Trinket, which is quite easy to get. Push the Snowball that's to the left
of where the B was to the left, into the water. Cross it, pushing the Snowball
to your left into the Crevasse. Now head down, then go to the left and ride
the Ice Block upward to get the Trinket. Then ride it back down. See? That was
easy, as is the rest of the puzzle. Go over and get the A and T. To get the
Mackerel, push the Snowball that's to the left of it down one space and then
get it. Now for the rest of the letters. Push the Snowball that's two spaces
right and one space below the H upward into the Crevasse. Get the H, bribe the
Polar Bear when it comes at you, then if necessary push it up and to the left
before grabbing the E. Then go back to the Raft.

LEVEL 91: PARALLEL

Push the Snowball down until it's just above the lower Dart Trickster. Give
the lower Ice Block a push upward so it stops just below the upper Ice Block.
Go to the left of the lower Ice Block and push it right and ride it over
there. Slide down, but hold down the down key because there's a patch of snow
at the end, and if you don't keep going after you leave the ice the Dart
Trickster will get you. You can't get the lower A from this position (well,
you can't, you'll just fall into the Crevasse immediately afterward) so head
back up and ride the Ice Block back to the left when the Walrus is on the
bottom part of the screen to prevent it from annoying you for a while. Push
the Ice Block that's still on land upward and then quickly get on its left and
run upward to overtake it. Right when it hits the water, get on it and ride it
to the right. Now head downward. There's a break in the Ice where there's some
snow, so be sure to keep running downward there or the Dart Trickster will hit
you. Now slide down and get the A. Wait for the Dart Trickster's darts to
pass, then slide back up. Ignore the nearby R and get the upper R instead. Go
back to the Ice Block and ride it back to the left. To get the A, we need the
help of the Walrus. Ride the lower Ice Block back to the right so the Walrus
can reach the upper part of the screen. Since the Walrus will probably prevent
you from returning, head back down and let it leave and continue upwards, then
head back up and use the Ice Block to return. Now you need to get on the upper
Ice Block and ride it to the right but time it so that the Walrus stops you
and you can go up and get the A. After doing so, ride the Ice Block back left.
Since we don't need the Walrus for anything now, ride the lower Ice Block to
the right, head down again, and when the Walrus starts swimming in the lower
part of the river go back up and ride the Ice Block back to the left, again
trapping the Walrus on the bottom part of the river. Now ride the upper Ice
Block back to the right, then go down again. Head upwards to where the E is
(but don't get it, of course), and on your way be sure to run past the Dart
Trickster, but don't run too far or you'll fall into the Crevasse. Now, when
you're on the space just below the E, slide down to get one L, then go to the
right and then upward to get the second L. Go back to where the first L you
collected was and slide up and get the E. Make your way back to the Ice Block
and ride it left, then get the final L and go back to the Raft.

LEVEL 92: DEVELOP

Head right and push the right Snowball up. Go up after it and once you're on
the Ice hold down the left arrow key. What should happen is that once it falls
into the crevice you will move to the left and be stopped by the Stone Wall.
Slide down, then go one space right and then slide up to get the D. Slide
left, then up. After the Wind Trickster starts blowing you left, hold down the
up arrow key. When the Moose is directly above you and is moving right head
that way timing your movement with it to get the E. Next, go back left and
allow the Wind Trickster to blow you down when the Moose won't be in the way;
if the Moose gets in the way while it's blowing you down the other Wind
Tricksters may blow you instead, and you'll have to improvise a little, but
just don't slide down when the Moose might obscure the Wind Trickster during
your slide. Push the Snowball one space to the right and then ride to the
right on the middle Ice Block (you may not move right away on the Ice Block,
you can't move right until the Moose obscures the Wind Trickster briefly). Get
the V, then ride back. Now go over to the upper Ice Block and let the Wind
Trickster blow you to the right onto it. When you hit the Stone Wall, slide
down and then right. The Wind Trickster will blow you downward. After you're
at the bottom of the screen, go to the left and move the Snowball upward, but
don't step on the Ice yourself. Now position yourself above the lowest
solitary Stone Wall and slide upward. Like near the beginning, the Wind
Trickster will blow you to the left. Like before, hold down the up arrow key
after it starts blowing you and when the Moose blocks the upper Wind
Trickster's attacks and is moving to the right, go right with it. Okay, now to
get the E. Have yourself be one space to the left of the E vertically and go
upward. You'll slide upward and the upper Wind Trickster will blow you onto
the E. Press the down arrow key quickly and then hold down the left arrow key.
When you're frozen in place running against the Wind Trickster, release the
key and slide to the right onto the L. After that, go up and then go left two
spaces. Slide down and the Wind Trickster will blow you right, and you'll end
up just above the tree; just be sure to time this so the Moose doesn't hit you
the instant you do get there. Quickly run right and then go one space down so
the Moose doesn't hit you. Wait for the Moose to start going left, then
quickly run over and grab the O. From there, go down and then let the Wind
Trickster blow you to the right. Now go down and then slide left. Now go
through the same routine you did to get the second E: Move to the space above
the lower solitary Stone Wall and move upward, and after you get blown left
hold down the up button and move right with the Moose when you get a chance.
Position yourself two spaces up and one space right from the P, then go down.
The Wind Trickster will blow you right onto the P. To get back to the Raft,
slide up and then go all the way to the right along the narrow ledge. After
that, go down and then slide left, and then you can easily get back to the
Raft. Man, I wish these later puzzles were as easy to cover as the first one
was...

LEVEL 93: PURCHASE

The first three letters are self-explanatory, just be sure to run through them
quickly or else the Dart Trickster will hit you. After that, go up and grab
the potion, then run up and get the C. After that, go to the right and slide
across the ice. Run directly down IMMEDIATELY and you'll be able to make it to
the Snow without the Wolf getting you. From the bottom of the part of the Snow
you're on, go down and get the H. We need to get the Wolf where we want it, so
after that do this: Go up one and then left two spaces. Take one step (half a
space) towards the Wolf, then run away from it and return to the space where
the H was. Next push the Ice Block to the right and get on it, then exit it by
going down. You need to get past the Moose, but want to keep the Wolf out of
the way when you do it, so do it like this: When the Moose is moving upward,
run over and follow it, then the very first time you can move right do. That
is, get into the lower part of the lowest of the right snow patches. Wait for
the Moose to go back down, and when it passes you moving downward, go to the
left (do this from the lower part of the lower snow patch) and run up quickly.
Once you reach the space just below the Snowball, head right...well, actually,
the Wind Trickster will do that for you. Now, get above the Snowball and
quickly push it down two spaces; after you do this, the Wind Trickster will
blow you to the right, but that's fine. Go down and then push the Snowball to
the left and use it to cross the river, then run up and get the S. The Wolf is
watching you, so let's deal with that. Go over to the side of the river and
then run directly downward. Now the Wolf is two spaces to your left. Go up one
space and then go back down again quickly. The Wolf will go after you and will
end up on the space above you. Now let's finish this puzzle. Go left one
space, then go down two spaces. Go left a space, then down another space. Run
to the left until you're under the E, then grab it and the puzzle is done.

LEVEL 94: ENEMY

This level may require a little improvising depending on the location of the
Abominable Snowman, but this guide gives a general picture. Head down and grab
the Mackerel. Go to the left and up and throw a Mackerel IMMEDIATELY to
counteract the Abominable Snowman's snowball. Run up and push the Ice Block to
the right and ride it across the water, getting the E on your way. After you
hit the tree, ride it down and then to the right. Get the N, then ride the Ice
Block upward, then take it right. Ride it upwards again and run up. The
Abominable Snowman will hit you with a snowball. If you're unlucky, you'll hit
the M and have to start the puzzle over. If you're lucky, you'll end up on the
Ice Block anyway. If you're in-between, you won't hit the M but will miss the
Ice Block, so run upward and cross the Ice Block. Get the E and bribe the
Polar Bear; if the Abominable Snowman is throwing snowballs at you you'll want
to bribe it between the snowball throws. After you bribe the Polar Bear, push
it down and go downward. Take the right Snowball and push it into the water
next to the Ice Block, then cross it to go onto the Ice Block and get the M.
If the Abominable Snowman is nearby you may have to improvise, but even if
it's next to you, you should be able to get back to the Ice Block lower. After
you do that, ride it downwards. Get to the bottom of the screen and get close
enough to the Wolf for it to start to chase you. Run all the way to the right,
go up, and then when the Wolf is on the right side of the Snow, get onto the
Snow. This will keep the Wolf on the right side of the screen. Now go down and
get the Y. The Wolf will follow you, but won't be close enough to be a threat.
Once you get the Y, push the remaining Snowball all the way to the left, then
push it up and use it to cross the river so you can get back to the Raft.

LEVEL 95: CALENDAR

Oh, dear, dear, dear. They just HAD to take moving Snowballs to an extreme and
make this level. Well, my guide will tell you how to do it. Basically, I'll
say exactly which direction to go and how many spaces to do it in several
times to make sure you're doing it in the exact correct way. So it doesn't get
too cluttered, I will separate it into several sections, one after each letter
you get. Note that each part begins where the previous one left off; to
complete the "get the A" part you start off from where the "get the C" left
off. Got it? Good.

Get the C: Go two left, two up, then continue going one left, then one up,
then one left, and repeat the up-then-left until you get the C.
Get the A: Go one space right and then up one space, then repeat this two more
times to get the A.
Get the L: Go down and push the Snowball that's just below the L two spaces to
the right, into the river, then get the L.
Get the E: Just go over and grab it.
Get the N: Here's where the puzzle gets hard. From the E, go one right, three
up, and two right, then push the Snowball all the way down. Go to its left
side and push it to the right, then cross the River on it. After you've
crossed the River, go one right then one up, then one right again and then up
two spaces. Before we get the N, let's make sure we can easily access the rest
of the letters. Go two spaces right, then two down. Okay, now go four up, one
left, one up, one left, one up, one left, then three up. The N is next to you,
get it.
Get the D, A, and R: Because of the Snowball formation we've made, all of
these can be gotten now without having to push any Snowballs. The same is true
with getting back to the Raft.

LEVEL 96: AGAINST

Go right and push the Snowball so that it is just below the Dart Trickster to
block it. Push the Ice Block to the left; don't get on it, just push it to the
left into the water so it floats to the other side. Go over and get the A,
then push the nearby Snowball into the water and cross it. Push the next
Snowball to the left so that it's on the square diagonally to the right of the
Dart Trickster, then push it half a space forward. This will prevent the Fire
Trickster from firing downward or diagonally downward and right, similar to
Theory. Okay, now take the lowest Snowball and push it downward, then follow
it quickly. It will slide down, and so will you. However, you still stop right
when it falls into the Crevasse. Slide right and then up to get the G, then
slide up and left and then up again. Get the A, then slide downward directly
from it and ride the Ice Block to the right. Go and get the I, then slide to
the right and then down. Now go to the right side of the screen, then go
downward and then left. Be sure to hold down the left arrow key so that you'll
slide downward and to the left when the Wind Trickster blows on you. You will
get the N on the way. Now go upward until you're just below the Snowball and
slide right, holding down the right arrow key so you end up next to the S.
Grab it, then slide upward and go one half a space (one step) upward. Slide
left, holding down the left arrow key, and you'll end up to the right of the
solitary Stone Wall. Slide up, then left, and then down to get the T. Now
slide back up and go back to the Raft.

LEVEL 97: REHEARSE

Head upward and get the R. The Walrus will notice you but will be unable to
cause any problems right now. Now go over to the left and push the upper
Snowball into the Crevasse. Get the lowest of the E's. There are two Snowballs
close to you, push the lower one down two spaces and then left one. Take the
other Snowball and push it down three spaces and then move it three spaces to
the left. The Dart Trickster will no longer be able to hit you if you are
above or to the right of it. Now, go over to the left edge of the screen and
run down. After you clear the Dart Trickster, get the H and push the upper
Snowball to the right; don't follow it, just let it slide to the right. Go to
the left edge of the screen and run up again, then go get the lower E. Push
the highest Snowball into the water and get the Mackerel. Do this quickly
before the Walrus can cause any problems. The Walrus probably will spot you,
so to get back stay on the left edge (near the Crevasse and Stone Wall) while
heading back down and it probably won't stop you. Bribe the Killer Whale and
ride it over to get the A, then ride it back. Remember that Snowball you
pushed to the right over the Ice? Push it down, then get to its left side by
sliding downward and then push it right and cross it. Be sure to do all this
when the Walrus isn't near you. Get the Mackerel and push the Snowball two
spaces up, then get the R. Now push the Snowball down until it's just above
the Snow patch, then push it right. The Walrus may get annoying, so here's how
to handle it: If it starts interfering when you're near the top, head over to
the right part of the upper Snow, then quickly push the Snowball down one when
the Walrus goes back into the water (it will come back, but you have a chance
when it goes back). The Walrus may be in the water next to you when you push
the Snowball down, after you finish pushing it go one space right then one
down. The Walrus will follow you and will be on land next to you. Now quickly
push the Snowball left and cross it. Now get to the "corner" of the land
that's surrounded on two sides by Ice, then slide up. This should let you
evade the Walrus. Now bribe the Killer Whale with the remaining Mackerel, and
ride it over to the upper right part of the screen to get the S and E.

LEVEL 98: SCISSORS

Head right and get the S and Mackerel, then bribe the Killer Whale. Quickly
ride it upward and grab the Mackerel, then ride it to the piece of land with
the Polar Bears. Run over and grab the C and then quickly run back before the
Polar Bears get you. Okay, you will notice there are two "solitary" trees near
the two Polar Bears that are close to each other. Run left and when you reach
the tree, run up and then over to the left again and get the Mackerel. Once
you're in the upper-left corner of the map, bribe the left-most Polar Bear and
grab the S, then run left and up to get back to the corner of the map, then
run over to the right, then one space down, then all the way to the right.
Bribe the Killer Whale and ride it to the part of the land where the Moose is.
When you're horizontally aligned with the nearby S (and one space right of the
Moose's path) run to the left when the Moose passes you while going up. After
you get that, push the Snowball to the right and cross it. Maneuver the Wolf
into the space just below the Mackerel, then push the Snowball downward and
then all the way to the left to cross it, then get the nearby S. Now to get
the Wolf out of the way. Get the O, then head down two spaces. Get the Wolf to
move towards you by moving towards it (well, without actually moving, just
holding down the right arrow key). You'll be separated by one space of trees.
Now go one space down and run all the way to the left side of the map, then
run upward to trap the Wolf. Take the upper path to get the R and S, then go
back to the Raft.

LEVEL 99: CYLINDER

Head right and push the Ice Block all the way to the right, trapping the upper
Moose. Get below the Ice Block and push it upward, then quickly go back
downward before the Moose hits you. After the Moose passes, cross the Ice
block and get the C. Now, you'll notice there are two adjacent Snowballs to
the upper-right of you. Push the left one into the Dark Pit and push the right
one into the river and cross it. Go upward and then press the highest Snowball
to the left, cross it and get the Y, then cross it again to get back to the
right side of the river. Push the bottom Snowball into the river and cross it.
Now to manipulate the Wolf a little. Push the Snowball that's second to the
right (that is, the left of the one that's farthest right) to the left two
spaces and go down a space. The Wolf is now watching you. Go one space left,
then make the Wolf go two spaces downward by pressing the down arrow key four
times. Now go back over to the right. When the Wolf is next to the N, press
the down arrow key twice to make it move downward. Now slide to the left
across the thin "platform" and get the L and then the I. Now we need to make
sure the Wolf doesn't go back to the N. Get to the space that's to the right
of the left-most Stone Wall and walk towards it until the Wolf gets close
enough to chase you. Then quickly go down and then left to trap the Wolf. Now
slide back to the right, then head down and get yourself vertically aligned
with the N, then slide up and get it. Now slide back down and get onto the Ice
Block right when the upper Moose is below you. This will keep you on the Ice
Block. Now ride it to the right, then up, then right, then up, then right and
go and get the D. Now ride it in the opposite order, that is, ride it left,
down, left, down, left, down, and then get off on its right side. You probably
know this, but to get to the E, wait until the Moose are both heading right
and are walking almost next to each other. Head right after them on the lower
track, and when the upper Moose heads left go there and wait for the lower
Moose to pass, then go to the right and get the E. After that, quickly head
down and left, then go up and go left. When the lower Moose passes you, go
down and then all the way to the left to get the R.

LEVEL 100: PROBABLY

Here it is. Level #100. The last one. The tenth and final Trinket level.
Surprisingly, this level is actually not that difficult.

Go over and get the P, making sure you run so you don't get hit by the Dart
Trickster. After getting the P, head right quickly or else the Wind Trickster
will blow you into a corner from which you can't escape. Get the R, then push
the lower Snowball one space right and the upper Snowball one space upward and
then get the O. Go over and run through the B to get it and avoid the Dart
Trickster. There's a Snowball above you, push it one space up. Go down and get
the A, then quickly run back so the Dart Trickster doesn't get you. Now for
the Trinket. Go over to the left Ice Block and ride it upwards. The Wind
Trickster will blow you to the right, so right after you get off it head
upward or you'll be blown into the Dart Trickster's path. Push the left
Snowball one space up. Push the Snowball that's to the right of that one up
into the Crevasse. Push the Ice Block upward into the Crevasse. Now take the
remaining Snowball and push it one space upward, two spaces right, then two
spaces upward. Now grab the Trinket. Okay, now head down, holding down the
down arrow key so you're not blown onto the Ice block. Push the Snowball down
and then push it all the way to the left. Push the lowest Snowball down one
square and then push it all the way to the right and cross the river with it.
Go upward and push the Snowball one space up, then run over and get the B,
then run left before the Wind Trickster blows you into the Crevasse. Push the
Snowball up into the river, get on it, then go right. Push the right Snowball
up one space, then push the left Snowball into the river and cross it. Now, if
you got the Trinket the Dart Trickster is blocked, but if you didn't head down
immediately after you cross the river. Head down. If the Snowball is below the
L (which it will be if you got the Trinket) push it to the left, into the
water, but then hold down the right arrow key until it disappears, or else
you'll be blown onto it and the Dart Trickster will get you. Now from beneath
get the L, then go down and run past the Dart Trickster to get the Y. 100
puzzles down, 0 to go...

LEVEL 101: WELCOME

Okay, okay, so there is one more level, but this one is a cinch. Press right
once. Yes, that's all you have to do. You will then be moved by the Wind
Tricksters, Ice, and Ice Blocks EXACTLY where you need to go, and will not get
hurt at all despite all the obstacles that are nearby, as you will either be
safely somewhere where they can't harm you or you'll just avoid them (such as
the Dart Trickster). You'll collect all the letters on the way. At the end,
you'll end up on the E, and then you can go back to the Raft. Yes, despite how
complicated it looks, it's the easiest level in the game. It's pretty much
just a gag level.

WARNING: SPOILERS IN THIS PARAGRAPH. Once you beat this level, you'll have to
go through the River Spelldown again, and then you'll see the ending. After
the Abominable Snowman throws some snowballs at Penguins, you'll find and
climb up a waterfall while Yobi makes a few funny statements, such as "You
look like you've done this before" (probably a reference to the fact that you
climb up a waterfall at the end of Spelling Jungle as well). After you finish
climbing, you find out the river is flooding because someone left a GIANT
heater on, which is melting the ice and causing the flood. You unplug the
heater, stopping the waterfall and ending the flood. Yobi congratulates you,
and says that perhaps you will meet him yet again. Sadly, as far as I know,
you don't.

Oh, and congratulations for winning! Now go and play Spelling Jungle if you
haven't already, or, if you want a change of pace, such as a game that
exercises your mind but isn't blatantly educational, go and play one of The
Incredible Machine games. And now this guide is done. I hope you enjoyed it,
and I hope you enjoyed the game. Now just one last thing to have in this
guide...
