Mini pets. There are a LOT of different ones, and you get them in various ways. The most common method of obtaining them is from a characters birthday. Each year you have a character it gets a new one. Each year has 14 different ones possible, and it is luck as to which one you get. The 5th year is approaching soon, so there are currently 56 different birthday mini pets.
Some, however, come through special editions of the game, like the Collectors edition or Game of the Year edition. Some are acquired through events or magazines. Some are acquired in game through quests, chests, or games. Both wiki and wikia have a complete listing of them all, and how to acquire them. They do not do anything but look cool. No special advantages for having them, though they can be dedicated in a Hall of Monuments if you have Eye of the North, and will give something for GW2.Shadow1975 (Expert) - 9 years agoUser Info: Shadow1975
