100% Notebook Sketch Guide

There are a ton of Notebook Sketches in Night In The Woods. Some you will get automatically as you progress through the story. Others you will get for optional conversations or quests. Still others will require four playthrough to get augh why are there so many variants of this stupid head. Ahem. Excuse me. To find 100% of the sketches, you will need to complete two full playthrough and two partial playthrough. Note that when you start a new playthrough, your notebook will be completely empty and the game does not show you which sketches you got on past playthroughs. So it will fall to you to remember what you did and what you still have left to do.

Consider this a full checklist of everything you need to do in order to get the sketches. It goes chronologically, so I will tell you what you have to do in order. I have this broken up by part, and then further by the days in each part. This guide will assume you have a full working knowledge of where everything is. So I won't tell you how to get to Lori, I will just say "talk to Lori. Good lucky and happy sketching.

PLAYTHROUGH #1

Prologue

Night 1:

Notebook Sketch #1: RIP Granddad - Unmissable. You will get this one when you are passing the broken down ship playground.

Notebook Sketch #2: You're Parents Forgot Yoooou! - Unmissable. You get this one when you are passing the broken down ship playground.

Notebook Sketch #3: Dad - Unmissable. You get this after the first required dialogue with your dad.

Action: Inspect boxes in the crawlspace.

Day 1:

Notebook Sketch #4: Space Dragon - Play the Space Dragon song in your room after you wake up.

Notebook Sketch #5: Mom - Unmissable. You will get this one after the required dialogue with your mom.

Notebook Sketch #6: Mom's Eels - Talk to mom again after your first required dialogue. Keep talking to her until she talks about eels.

Part I: Home Again

Day 1 of Part 1:

Notebook Sketch #7: Houses - Unmissable. You get it when you enter the screen of houses where Selmers is sitting.

Action: Talk to Selmers.

Notebook Sketch #8: Did U Get My Texts, Bea? - Inspect the statue outside Bea's apartment building three times.

Notebook Sketch #9: This Place Is Falling Apart - Inspect the barricade at the top of the church steps.

Action: Talk to Lori M.

Notebook Sketch #10: Big Skeleton - Walk past the statue for the war memorial.

Notebook Sketch #11: Gregg Rulz Ok? - Unmissable. Talk to Gregg for the first time.

Notebook Sketch #12: Die Anywhere Else (Good) - There are two variants for this one actually. Play it ok or better and you'll get the good variant of the sketch.

Notebook Sketch #13: Greggory's Pizza Scale - Unmissable. You'll get it after the first pizza scene.

Notebook Sketch #14: Arm On Sidewalk - Unmissable. You'll get it after finding the arm.

Notebook Sketch #15: Tattoo - While you're poking the arm, you can use the stick to roll up the sleeve and find a tattoo on the arm. Poke it. Poke it good.

Notebook Sketch #16: Still Funny Though - Talk to your dad twice after returning home for the night.

Day 2 of Part I:

Action: Talk to your mom.

Action: Talk to Selmers.

Notebook Sketch #17: Inspect the clothes on top of the leftmost building on the screen of houses where Selmers is sitting.

Notebook Sketch #18: Angus - Unmissable. You'll get it after talking to Angus about your computer.

Notebook Sketch #19: Demontower - Complete Demontower with the bad ending.

Notebook Sketch #20: Palecat - Complete Demontower with the good ending.

Day 3 of Part I:

Action: Talk to your mom.

Action: Talk to Selmers.

Notebook Sketch #21: Bea - Unmissable. You'll get it after talking to Bea about driving you to the party.

Notebook Sketch #30: Honey, I'm Horm! - Talk to Fisherman Jones in the underground section.

Notebook Sketch #31: Nuke Possum Springs - Inspect the mural in the underground.

Action: Talk to your mom in the church.

Notebook Sketch #32: Firebreathing Church Statue - Walk past the statue outside the church.

Notebook Sketch #33: Pastor K - Talk to Pastor K outside the church.

Notebook Sketch #34: Bruce - Talk to Bruce while you're talking to Pastor K.

Action: Talk to Lori M. on the rooftops of the storefronts.

Notebook Sketch #35: Roofcat Is Correct - Inspect the cat on the top of the roof to the right of Lori M.

Notebook Sketch #36: Mallard 4-Eva - Enter through the window on the building right of Lori, and go to the room on the far left.

Notebook Sketch #37: Miracle Rats - Inspect the Mallard. Go and steal a pretzel from the underground and bring it back to feed them.

Notebook Sketch #38: Germ - Unmissable. Talk to Germ in front of the Snack Falcon.

Notebook Sketch #39: Weird Autumn (Good) - There are two variants of this sketch. Play Weird Autumn "ok" or better during band practice and you'll get the good variant of this sketch.

Notebook Sketch #40: Bandit Queens - Chose to hang out with Bea. You'll get this sketch at the end of the first Bea scene.

Action: Talk to your dad when you get home. Watch the show with him when given the option.

Day 2 of Part II:

Action: Talk to your mom at home.

Action: Talk to Selmers. Listen to their poem.

Action: Talk to your mom at the church.

Action: Talk to Lori M. on the rooftops of Storefronts, Screen 1.

Action: Talk to Germ outside the Food Donkey.

Notebook Sketch #41: Angry Furnace - Choose to hang out with Bea. You'll get this sketch at the end of the second Bea scene.

Action: Talk to your dad when you get home for the night. Agree to watch the show with him when asked.

Day 3 of Part II:

Action: Talk to your mom at home.

Action: Talk to Selmers. Listen to their poem.

Notebook Sketch #44: Flattened Toy (Top) - Talk to Lori M. up on the rooftops of Storefronts, Screen 1. Agree to go see the trains with her.

Notebook Sketch #45: Food Donkey Parking Lot - Talk to Germ outside the Food Donkey. Agree to hang out with him.

Notebook Sketch #46: Meats - Choose to hang out with Bea. You'll get this sketch after picking out the meat for dinner.

Notebook Sketch #47: Dinner - Choose to hang out with Bea. You'll get this after completing the third Bea scene.

Action: Talk to your dad when you get home for the night. Agree to watch the show with him when asked.

Day 4 of Part II:

Notebook Sketch #48: Cycles - Complete the Cycles song in Mae's bedroom. Get an ok rating or better.

Notebook Sketch #49: Mysterious Tooth - Go to the crawlspace of your home and open the safe.

Action: Talk to your mom at your house.

Action: Talk to Selmers. Listen to her poem.

Action: Talk to your mom at the church.

Notebook Sketch #50: 3 Weird Teens - Go to the far right of the area just outside the church.

Action: Talk to Lori M. She's just next to the statue of the war monument.

Notebook Sketch #51: Smashing Lightbulbs - Talk to Gregg and tell him you're interested when he brings up statue smashing.

Action: Talk to Germ outside the Food Donkey.

Part III: The Long Fall

Day 1 of Part III:

Notebook Sketch #52: Halloween Pumpkins - Unmissable. You'll get it at the start of Part III.

Notebook Sketch #53: Harfest - Unmissable. You'll get it at the start of Part III.

Notebook Sketch #54: Shadowy Figure - Unmissable. You'll get it at the start of Part III.

Notebook Sketch #55: Big Black Dot - Unmissable. You'll get it at the start of Part III.

Notebook Sketch #56: Murder Victim - Talk to your mom at your home until she talks about the mystery story she's reading.

Action: Talk to Selmers.

Notebook Sketch #57: Big Snake and Gramercy - Talk to Mr. Chazokov and find the two Dusk Stars.

Action: Talk to your mom at the church.

Action: Talk to Lori M. on the rooftops of Storefronts, Screen 1.

Action: Talk to Germ outside the Food Donkey.

Notebook Sketch #58: Pumpkins Head Guy (Good) - This is one of two variants of this sketch. Play it ok or better to get the good variant.

Notebook Sketch #59: It's Selmers! A Good Poet! - Listen to Selmers' performance as you're leaving the library.

Day 2 of Part III:

Notebook Sketch #60: Charity Bearity is a Nightmarity - Play Tick Tock in your room and get a ranking of ok or better.

Action: Talk to your mom.

Notebook Sketch #61: Exploring The Underground - Talk to Mr. Salvi in the underground and agree to get on the boat with him.

Notebook Sketch #62: Jenny's Field - Talk to your mom in the church and agree to go on the adventure with her.

Notebook Sketch #63: Jen! - Talk to her just to the right of Bruce outside the church.

Action: Talk to Saleem on the rightmost roof on Storefronts, Screen 1.

Action: Talk to Lori M. on the rooftops of Storefronts: Screen 1.

Notebook Sketch #64: Hella Birds - Enter the room on the leftmost rooftop after entering Gregg's building and going up the stairs.

Action: Talk to Sadie in the room with all the birds.

Notebook Sketch #65: Pentagram #1 - Inspect the poster on the far left of the room with all the birds (where you just got the Hella Birds sketch).

Notebook Sketch #66: Jumping Off The Bridge - Talk to Germ outside the Food Donkey and agree to go on the adventure with him.

Notebook Sketch #67: Grave Guy - Choose Bea's investigation first. Talk to the Gravedigger when you and Bea separate.

Notebook Sketch #68: Little Joe's Dang Skull - Choose Bea's investigation. Complete it to get this sketch.

Day 3 of Part III:

Notebook Sketch #69: Trash King Rabies - Sit on the bridge to the right of your house for several seconds until Rabies shows up.

Notebook Sketch #70: Kol and Adina - Talk to Mr. Chazokov and find the two Dusk Stars.

Action: Talk to Saleem on the rightmost roof on Storefronts, Screen 1.

Notebook Sketch #71: Flattened Toy (Bottom) - Talk to Lori M. on the rooftops of Storefronts, Screen 1 and agree to hang out with her.

Action: Talk to Sadie in the room with all the birds.

Action: Talk to Germ outside the Food Donkey.

Notebook Sketch #72: Pentagram #2 - Talk to Bea to go on her final friendship scene. After dancing, go the the right and talk to the first girl. Shake hands with her by lining the top of your hand up with hers and you'll get the sketch.

Notebook Sketch #73: Bombshell - Talk to Bea to go on her final friendship scene. After dancing, go the the right and talk to the first girl.

Notebook Sketch #74: Mae Dae Bea Bea - Talk to Bea to go on her final friendship scene. Finish the scene.

Day 4 of Part III:

Action: Talk to Lori M. on the rooftop of Storefronts, Screen 1.

Notebook Sketch #75: Saleem and Sadie - Go to the room full of birds on the roofs of Storefronts, Screen 2 and talk to the two of them.

Notebook Sketch #76: Germ's Spooky Grandma - Talk to Germ again and agree to hang out with him.

Notebook Sketch #77: Bad Art - Go on the investigation with Gregg to the Historical Society. You'll get the sketch for completing it.

Epilogue

Day 1 of Epilogue:

Notebook Sketch #78: Pentagram #3 - Unmissable. You'll get it once the day starts.

Notebook Sketch #79: Poorly Drawn Cat - Unmissable. You'll get it once the day starts.

Notebook Sketch #80: Mae Surrounded By Darkness - Unmissable. You'll get it once the day starts.

Notebook Sketch #81: Erskine - Talk to Mr. Chazokov and find the last Dusk Star.

Notebook Sketch #82: Janitor - Talk to the Janitor near the statue for the war monument.

Notebook Sketch #83: Bea Ending - Finish the game doing the Bea friendship path.

Notebook Sketch #84: RIP Casey - Finish the game.

Part I: Home Again (Playthrough 2)

Notebook Sketch #85: Die Anywhere Else (Bad) - Play poorly during the song. Either mash the controller or hit nothing or all. Don't play well or you'll get the "good" variant of the sketch.

Part II: Weird Autumn (Playthrough 2)

Notebook Sketch #86: Weird Autumn (Bad) - Play poorly during the song. Either mash the controller or hit nothing or all. Don't play well or you'll get the "good" variant of the sketch.

Notebook Sketch #87: Crimes (Frog Head Variant) - Choose to hang out with Gregg instead of Bea this time around. On his quest, you'll have a choice of three different animal heads you can steal. Unfortunately, they all give slightly different variations of the sketch so you'll need to eventually play through and grab all three. This time select the frog and finish the scene.

Day 2 of Part II (Playthrough 2):

Notebook Sketch #88: I Freaking Died Tonight - Choose to hang out with Gregg instead of Bea. Complete his scene.

Day 3 of Part II (Playthrough 2):

Notebook Sketch #89: Forest God - Chose to hang out with Gregg instead of Bea. Complete his scene.

Part III: The Long Fall (Playthrough 2)

Day 1 of Part III (Playthrough 2):

Notebook Sketch #92: Angus Is Psychic - Select Angus and investigate the park. You'll get it for completing the scene.

Day 3 of Part III (Playthrough 2):

Notebook Sketch #93: Pentagram #2 - Talk to Gregg and go on his final friendship scene. Pick "Doomnuts" at the restaurant and grab the one with a pentagram on it.

Notebook Sketch #94: Legends - Talk to Gregg and go on his final friendship scene. Complete the scene.

Epilogue (Playthrough 2)

Notebook Sketch #95: Gregg Ending - Complete the game after doing the Gregg friendship scenes.

PLAYTHROUGHS #3 and #4

Notebook Sketches #96 and #97: There are two sketches left now which are Crimes (Pig Head Variant) and Crimes (Rabbit Head Variant). You need to get to day 1 of Part II and get to the point where you can choose which animal head to steal. You've already taken the frog, so on Playthrough #3 take the pig. Finish the scene and get the sketch. Then, go to the options from the main menu and select "clear saved file". It won't delete your Notebook Sketch progress, but you can restart the game without having to beat it again. Get back to the same scene and pick the rabbit head. Finish the scene and you'll get the final Notebook Sketch.
