Walkthrough (Continued)

Mean Street South

Visit good old Seth in his garden (South, through the underground tunnels below the train station). Speak with him twice (the first time he'll just congratulate with you for the main quest of the story; the second time is for the quest Finding the Hidden Heroes # 02/02) and give him Oswald's photos (B button) when given a choice (assuming you've been taking pictures of both Mickey and Oswald shapes).

Repeat this two more times (give him Oswald photos the second and third time as well) to get a series of rewards: 100 E-Tickets, 250 E-Tickets, 500 E-Tickets. We need to visit him again after leaving the area to complete the quest, so let's do some other stuff now.

Still in Mean Street South, go purchase the following items at the Emporium (price in E-Tickets in brackets; the price already factors the -50% discount from the coupon given by Clarabelle earlier):

- Gremlin Gus Pin (Pin # 48/176) (100)
- Gremlin Jamface Pin (Pin # 49/176) (100)
- Pete Pan Pin (Pin # 50/176) (175)
- Seer Pin (Pin # 51/176) (100)
- Slobber Pin (Pin # 52/176) (100)
- Spatter Pin (Pin # 53/176) (100)
- Sweeper Pin (Pin # 54/176) (100)
- Hopper Pin (Pin # 55/176) (100)
- Spinner Pin (Pin # 56/176) (100)
- Laralee Pin (Pin # 57/176) (100)
- Haberdasher Pin (Pin # 58/176) (100)
- Usher Pin (Pin # 59/176) (100)
- Casey Pin (Pin # 60/176) (100)

Total: -1,375 E-Tickets.

Then go to the Mad Hatter's shop and buy all the costume pieces you're missing. You should have just about enough Cloth to get everything, if you've collected most/all the 100x Cloth bundles found across the Wastelands and smashed a few shiny objects here and there every now and then. You may skip the Firefighter Badge if you're low on Cloth (= less than 1,950) for some reason, since you'll get it for free from a quest we'll complete later (the quest is A Friend in Deed). For the record, you'll need to acquire the following:

- Brave Little Tailor Hat (75)
- Brave Little Tailor Tunic (125)
- Brave Little Tailor Shoes (100)
- Construction Helmet (125)
- Construction Gloves (175)
- Firefighter Helmet (200)
- Firefighter Badge (250)
- Football Helmet (200)
- Sorcerer's Apprentice Shoes (225)
- Gremlin Helmet (25)
- Knight Helmet (100)
- Mad Doctor Moustache (100)
- Track Runner Jacket (100)
- Tron Helmet (25)
- Tron Top (75)
- Tron Pants (50)

Total: -1,950 Cloth.

Note: if you just don't have enough Cloth to buy everything, put on the Brave Little Tailor costume and farm it in Bog Easy with the method explained earlier (in short: destroy the chest outside the Shanty Shop after Thinning the orange carriage; then smash the two crates nearby; then smash the top hat and the three chests on top of the buildings; then enter the Shanty Shop through the roof, exit back again, and repeat). Since we'll go to Bog Easy soon enough, wait until then to do the necessary farming (just take note of how much you need, and make sure to change to the Brave Little Trailor costume while you're here).

By acquiring all of the costume pieces of the game you will unlock the achievement Dressed to Impress.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Dressed to Impress ~

Enter the Detective Agency now, and speak with Horace a couple of times to advance with the quest Horace's Assistant Assistance # 06/07. He'll give you 100 E-Tickets after giving him the Compass obtained earlier from Scurvy Pat, and then he'll ask you for the A Very Messy Thank You Note that you got earlier from the quest Clothes Make the Spatter. Give him the note, and then exit outside.

Enter the Museum and give Laralee the last two items to complete the quest Watch The Skies # 10/10 and get your reward: a total of 590 Scrap Metal, and then the Consumate Collector Pin (Pin # 61/176).

Ride the train to OsTown.

OsTown

Visit Ortensia's house to find Fiddler Pig for the quest Creative Threedom # 06/08.

Then head back to the Mean Street North cinema, and from there to Disney Gulch.

Disney Gulch

Speak with Fifer Pig for Creative Threedom # 07/08 (he's next to the projector). Then head for Ventureland.

Ventureland

Pay the Gremlin in the middle of the area 50 Scrap Metal to fix the Crow's Nest. For an additional 25 Scrap Metal and 500 E-Tickets he will also repair the lift to the North of the area (you might as well do so).

Visit Tiki Sam's to do some shopping. Give him the Pearl of Wisdom, when he asks, and he'll give you the Giant Pearl in return, needed for the quest A Captain's Life For Me # 03/04. Then buy all the Pins he can sell:

- Hook vs. Pete Pan Pin (Pin # 62/176) (175)
- Pirate Friend Pin (Pin # 63/176) (175)
- Ventureland Preservationist (Pin # 64/176) (100) (this is a Pin, for some reason without the "Pin" word at the end of its name)
- Tiki Sam Pin (Pin # 65/176) (100)
- Breaking News Pin (Pin # 66/176) (100)
- Recycler Pin (Pin # 67/176) (100)

Total: -750 E-Tickets.

Go speak with Daisy in the DNN building a few times to get the reward for the completion of the quest Much Ado About Blotlings # 03/03: the Blotyguard Pin (Pin # 68/176).

Climb on top of the DNN building, and from there climb up the ledge located Northwest, where the Thinner pool originates. Here you'll find a giant head monument. Put the Giant Pearl you got a minute ago from Tiki Sam here to open the path to Hook's treasure (you need to also have Painted the three big Golden Mirrors in Ventureland to get into the monument to get the chest).
Grab Hook's Treasure, and then go give it to Damien Salt, the fat pirate with a purple shirt near the lift, and you'll complete the quest A Captain's Life For Me # 04/04 and receive the Love Conquers All Pin (Pin # 69/176).

Reach the three Pigs' house (upper level, last house on the trees) and speak with Practical Pig to complete the quest Creative Threedom # 08/08 and get the All Ears Pin (Pin # 70/176).

Leave Ventureland, but then come back here again. The crow's nest will now be repaired, and you can get another Pin from it. You may (or may not) have noticed that Thinning some of the trees of Ventureland reveals scratch marks that look like roman numbers. Well, if you did notice that and you were curious what they were for, this is it. You need to power up the antennas on top of these trees in the order indicated by the scratch marks on them. In particular, in this order, visit and power up the antennas on these trees:

1.The one above the three pig's hut (stand just outside the door of the hut, and the co-op command to order Oswald to zap the antenna should prompt).
2. The tree next to the lift (which also has one of the big Golden Mirrors on it). The command to use Oswald's remote should prompt if you stand on the platform where the lift takes you, on the right side of the tree.
3. The tree in-between the previous two (this one also has a big Golden Mirror on it). You need to Thin-out the upper half of the tree first (Thin the door leading to the house "inside" this tree, which is the one where you went through during the story in Episode 3), and then the antenna inside it will be exposed and ready to get zapped.

When the antennas are all charged you can get the Nest Egg Pin (Pin # 71/176) from a chest at the bottom of the repaired crow nest.

Return to the Mean Street North cinema, and from there to Bog Easy.

Bog Easy

The Shanty Shop has Pins for sale:
- Animatronic Daisy Pin (Pin # 72/176) (200)
- Animatronic Donald Pin (Pin # 73/176) (200)
- Animatronic Goofy Pin (Pin # 74/176) (200)
- Ian the Ghost Pin (Pin # 75/176) (200)
- Petetronic Pin (Pin # 76/176) (200)

Total: -1,000 E-Tickets.

If you need to farm Cloth for the remaining costume pieces, now is a good time.

Head to Old Town. In Old Town, visit the Bat En Rouge (the shop with the icon of a book, on the East side) for more shopping:
- Captain Hook Pin (Pin # 77/176) (175)

Then visit Metairie in the other building of Old Town, and give her the photos you took to complete the quest A Friend in Deed # 07/07. You reward will be 5x Bronze Pin and the Firefighter Badge (or another 3x Bronze Pin if you had bought it already).

Return to Mean Street North (use the projector here in Old Town), and from there back to Disney Gulch.

Disney Gulch

Ride the train to the second half of Disney Gulch.

In the second half of Disney Gulch you'll find a couple of pirates, if you did the quests associated with them properly. The first one you'll come across is Rigger Greene, who is standing on top of the carts on the right as you access the area. Deal with a few Spatters at the bottom of the cart, then speak with him to get the Wild Frontier Pin (Pin # 78/176).

Then go find Scurvy Pat, currently on a ledge all the way to the end of this area. Speak with him to get the Black Bill Pin (Pin # 79/176).

Then exit and re-enter this same area (go back and forth with the closest projector) and find him again near the end of the area (on the big alarm clock). Speak with him again for the Slouchin' Brian Pin (Pin # 80/176), then exit and re-enter the area again (again, use the closest projector to go back and forth; trust me, it's the fastest way).

This next time you'll find Scurvy Pat on the ledge near the second projector screen of this area, and he'll give you the Dandy Evan Pin (Pin # 81/176).

Exit and re-enter the area once again to find him near the train. The last Pin he gives you is the Parrotless Steve Pin (Pin # 82/176).

Finally head back to Mean Street North.

Mean Street North

We can do some shopping at the Ice Cream shop:
- Paulie Pin (Pin # 83/176) (100)
- Ice Cream Pin (Pin # 84/176) (100)
- Pie Pin (Pin # 85/176) (100)
- Happy Birthday Pin (Pin # 86/176) (100)

Then it's time to start spending some of the Bronze Pins for actual collectible Pins at the Pin Trader. Buy all the Pins you can, without buying anything from the Black Bags yet. The price here is in Bronze Pins (you should have about 260 at this point, if you've collected all the "free-for-the-take" Bronze/Silver/Gold Pins of the game):

(- Big Bad Pete Pin (6) (should already have bought this one))
(- Oswald the Lucky Rabbit Pin (6) (should already have bought this one))
- Ortensia Pin (Pin # 87/176) (2)
- Locksmith Pin (Pin # 88/176) (2)
- Lockbreaker Pin (Pin # 89/176) (2)
- Art Appreciator (Pin # 90/176) (6) (it's a Pin)

- Down With the Mad Doctor Pin (Pin # 106/176) (6)
- Never Too Thinned Pin (Pin # 107/176) (6)

Total: -84 Bronze Pins (-72 if you already had bought Big Bad Pete and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit).

(Remember: the Locksmith Pin will be for sale only if you paid Jamface to repair the windmill. If you hadn't done so earlier, you can still do it now)

At this point you've more than 88 Pins, so you will unlock the achievement Devoted Pin Collector.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Devoted Pin Collector ~

Go to the Arcade next. In the Arcade, speak with the Gremlin and hand over the Pins requested (three couples of them) to complete the quest The Other Side of the Screen # 02/02 and get your rewards:
- First set: Ring of Fire Pin and Friendy Dragon Pin. Reward: 100 E-Tickets
- Second set: Napoleon Complex Pin and Second Chance Pin. Reward: 200 E-Tickets
- Third set: Down With the Mad Doctor Pin and Trust the Mad Doctor Pin. Reward: 400 E-Tickets and the Game Grid Pin (Pin # 108/176)

If you didn't do so earlier, re-open the Camera shop by dragging Fireworks (which you can find near the windmill) and igniting them near the fallen tower in front of the Camera shop itself. Then go speak with Adelle inside a couple of times, and give her the photos to complete the quest The Encyclopaedia Wastelandica # 18/18 and get your reward: 800 E-Tickets, and the Research Assistant Pin (Pin # 109/176).

Ride the hot-air balloon to Mean Street South.

Mean Street South

Head to the Detective Agency, and Clarabelle should be in here at this point. Speak with Horace to complete the quest Horace's Assistant Assistance # 07/07 and receive your reward: the Beautiful Friendship Pin (Pin # 110/176). This is also the last quest we've completed, so you will unlock the achievement Perfectionist now.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Perfectionist ~

Find Seth again in his garden (South of the train station, through the tunnel below it) and speak with him. At this point the garden should be Oswald-shaped, and he'll give you 5x Bronze Pin as reward.

Then speak with him again and show him the photo of the Mickey&Oswald statue in OsTown to also unlock the achievement Heads Up.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Heads Up ~

The Final Pins and Achievements

It's now time to go buy the Black Bags at the Pin Trader in Mean Street North:

- There is a total of 35x Pins you can get from the Black Bag worth 2 Bronze Pins
- There is a total of 14x Pins you can get from the Black Bag worth 4 Bronze Pins
- There is a total of 18x Pins you can get from the Black Bag worth 8 Bronze Pins

You should probably have a little more than 200 Bronze Pins left before buying any Blag Bag, and this unfortunately is not enough (you need 270 Bronze Pins for all the Black Bags, minus those you may already have bought).

You can get a few extra Gold Pins by visiting the Museum in Mean Street South and checking the various "spirits" in here for rewards (every spirit can give you a Gold Pin if you have the necessary Pins to satisfy its request). This may still not be enough to buy every single Pin, but at least you'll get most of the difference (there are 12 spirits, so that's another 60x Bronze Pins right there).

The rest of the Bronze Pins will have to come from trading Scrap Metal for Bronze Pins at the Pin Trader (20 Scrap Metal for 1 Bronze Pin; you might as well buy the Gold Pins, which are worth 5 Bronze Pins, for 100 Scrap Metal, since you need a lot of them). You should have a decent amount of Scrap Metal left from the quest Watch the Skies (at least 500), so sell it all and see if that's enough to buy every Black Bag. If not, go farm the amount you still need in Mean Street South, from the back of the Emporium, using the method I taught you earlier when we did the reparation of the Underground areas of Mean Street (get the 15 Scrap Metal, enter the Mad Hatter's shop, exit back outside; repeat for about 100 Scrap Metal every 2 minutes).

~ Achievement Unlocked - Master Pin Collector ~

Awakening all the spirits in the Museum will award you the achievement Statue Garden.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Statue Garden ~

At this point you should only have a handful of achievements left to complete.

Hopefully you already unlocked the achievements for befriending 50 and 100 enemies during the course of your playthrough (this should definitely be the case if you've been Painting enemies from the beginning), namely Recycler (should have obtained this one about in the Train Tunnels area, more or less) and Prince Charming. If not, or if you still need a few more befriending to do, there isn't really a very convenient location that you can use, but I'd go with Disney Gulch's first area (then, to respawn the enemies, exit to the D.E.C. and then go back again). It's still painfully slow to do so if you have to grind a lot of befriending, but there really aren't better options left at this point.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Recycler~

~ Achievement Unlocked - Prince Charming ~

Then we have the two achievements for killing/Thinning to death 50 and 100 enemies, namely Junker and Thinderella. Unlike the previous two, the best spot by far to grind kills for this one is the Prescott's Arena, where you can find three Sweepers and a Slobber. Ignore the Slobber, and just keep killing Sweepers -- they'll simply continue to respawn over and over, and with the ultra-rapid Thinner regeneration obtained from the spirits in the Museum it will take only a few minutes before you can get the necessary kills.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Junker~

~ Achievement Unlocked - Thinderella ~

We also have a miscellaneous achievement, Clear!, for reviving Oswald with Paint at any point while playing co-op with a second controller plugged in. This can be accomplished easily in Prescott's Arena as well.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Clear! ~

At last there is the infamous achievement that will require playing through the game AGAIN: Off-Track. This one will require a second playthrough in which you want to avoid repairing any and all of the four train stations. Repairing a single one of them will result in missing this achievement.

Thankfully you can speedrun through the game very quickly if you ignore all the enemies, skip all the optional stuff there is, and just go straight for the story completion (you'll reach the end within a couple of hours, most of which is just dialogues and cutscenes) with every shortcut you can (only use one ball to power up the train in Disney Gulch, take the closest projector to reach the Mad Doctor's Lab, etc.).

The only optional things I suggest you to do are:
- Set the first Gremlin free to have the balloon service between Mean Street South and North going. He's literally on the way and it'll take another 10 seconds maybe to set him free
- Get a couple of Gold Cloth early in Mean Street South (such as the one behind the water tank on top of the fire station, and the one(s) revealed by Thinning the walls of the Emporium/Detective Agency. Then sell the Cloth to get about 900 E-Tickets in total, and use the E-Tickets to purchase the Watch Sketch (250 E-Tickets) and, in Episode 2, the Watch Sketch upgrade (500 E-Tickets) (use the rest of the E-Tickets for fast-travelling). The Watch Sketch will only be up for sale after starting the quest The Wasteland Limited; obviously we're not going to do the quest on this playthrough, but you still can start (without continuing it any further) the quest so the Watch Sketch becomes available, making every boss fight much easier

Also, in Fort Wasteland I suggest you not to Thin any enemy, since it will avoid Ian's tantrums and save you some time.

After not-repairing any of the train stations you will then need to visit the train conductors of Mean Street South, OsTown, Bog Easy, and Ventureland (you can "rent" the Film Reel to fast-travel to these locations from the Cinema of Mean Street North; it only costs 50 E-Tickets per "rent"). They'll say something like "Boy, that quake really did a number on the train station", and a few more Scrap Metal pieces will pop out of the permanently damaged train station. Note that it's been reported that the train conductor of OsTown sometimes simply won't be there anymore. If that's the case for you, don't worry and just visit the others -- the achievement will pop-up anyway.

~ Achievement Unlocked - Off-Track ~

This is all folks. I hope you enjoyed playing this game to its full completion, and I hope that this walkthrough helped you achieve it in the least painful way possible for a game like this.

Congratulations on your 1,000 G/Platinum, and thanks for reading!
